Not a bad spot! It’s huge inside, so there is plenty of room to seat larger groups! The best thing we had were the Buffalo chicken egg rolls! We would definitely stop back in for those! They have some unique Chicago-inspired options (like giardiniera aioli and coleslaw), but we felt like those items could use a little bit more flavor.

The best restaurant, the food is very delicious and the people is very kind, I love the chicken Alfredo, and Al the food that they have, I recommend you to come to visit this place

Overpriced!! I ordered the platform burger and was very disappointed with it. It was dry, small, and not worth the price at all. To make matters worse, the owner came across as rude and arrogant, which left a bad impression. On the bright side, the service from the staff was the opposite as they were friendly and attentive, which helped make up for the disappointing food. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant as there are better pubs in the area.

Such a great restaurant (especially compared to the bar before it). The food is delicious and I love the staff. The owners are so personable and wonderful. I hope Platform 47 will be around for a long time!

I enjoyed visiting Platform 47. We sat at the bar, and I had a decent burger while my girlfriend had a pasta dish. The happy hour deals are good, but the menu is a tad expensive, and the food isn’t too far above average.

Update: We went back for a full dinner on NYE and whewwww… they earned a sixth star. The chicken piccata is one of the best meals I’ve ever had, the pancetta on top totally transforms it and the flavor was just perfect. The strip steak was also great, a nice lean and well-trimmed piece with a very flavorful (and kinda spicy!) rub. Fries were also perfect. The sauteed spinach was yummy too, perfectly garlicky. And we had another round of pear martinis too. My partner described his old fashioned as “safe” - it was the only item that didn’t have us going “wowwww”, but it was still good! Friendly service as always too. I’m so happy to have this place in the neighborhood! Original review I needed a place to finish my work during finals week after the coffee shop closed and this was perfect - everyone was so, so nice and Marcos even said to let him know if I needed a quieter place to work. Genuinely kind and attentive staff. I’m really looking forward to coming back and enjoying the bar as, you know, a bar! The fireplace ambiance was amazing and the spiced pear martini was so good, also loved the brussels sprouts. I was surprised to see how lively it was inside already at only three weeks open, which is a great sign!

We go here routinely and should have posted earlier. Today we both had fish, and they gave my wife onion rings and I got fries. Kudos to the server who knew her beers! Also, knew to ask if we wanted malt vinegar (brits are you reading this!). Beer selection is wide for tap and bottles. I love their wings as well. Only, criticism is the price of alcohol is a little high.

Great sports bar feel with awesome staff, great drinks, and amazing food choices. The menu has a big variety of elevated bar type foods as well as good entree choices.

Enjoyed dinner with a friend on their patio. The server casually checked in regularly. Smoky lady mezcal drink was on point, perfect for summer vibes. Everything we ordered was great. Highly recommend the watermelon salad, so fresh and perfect for summer. Motz sticks had Fresh batter breading. I got a burger trio.

The Doctor, Queen and I discovered this place one night while looking for a place for a meal before going to The Davis for a movie. I remember this use to be The Rail, so wasn't expecting much. I have to saw I was not expecting much beyond a neighborhood bar, but I was pleasantly surprised. There is a cute outdoor area on the sidewalk, but we opted to sit inside. It looks like they did some remodeling as the place had a new feel to it. Although I made a reservation due to it being a Friday, it was not required as the inside was open as most people were sitting outside. There is plenty of seating inside in addition to the long bar area. We started with the Chicken Tinga Nachos (nachos, house made chips. Tomatoes, jalapenos, sour cream, cheese sauce). I asked for guacamole, which was extra, but it totally made the dish. While this is supposed to be a starter, it could easily be an entree as it was filling and delish. For entrees, The Doctor got the Platform Burger (House made patty, Cheddar, lettuce, tomato, onions, Dijon mayo on a brioche bun), I got the Gnocchi Bolognese with grilled chicken, and The Queen got the grilled Salmon with a ratatouille of chickpeas, zucchini, yellow squash and a pomodoro sauce. The burger was nicely prepared as was the salmon. I am not a fan of ratatouille as a rule, but this was very good. The gnocchi was very nice as was the Bolognese sauce, very meaty. The grilled chicken was good and actually grilled and tasty. I will say a standout for me was the fries The Doctor got with his burger....dang they were good! Hot, crispy and just tasty, like Micky D's fries use to be back in the day. For dessert we split a key lime pie. Nothing to write home about, but it was okay. Decent selection of wines and beers, and having bubbles on there is a winner for me. Service was great and there is plenty of street parking, so this will make the list of hangouts to eat at.

This place was fantastic!! Found it last minute on Saturday! So glad we stopped here! I had the Jalisco burger, amazing! Has a bit of a kick to it but not overly spicy! I sticked with water due to a hangover but my gf got two margaritas and loved them! We shared the Brussels sprouts, must have!! Our server was amazing, young girl with blonde hair can't remember her name!! So nice, checked on us an appropriate amount of times. Fully understood that we wanted to enjoy the patio and beautiful weather!!

This place has great potential! It's in a convenient spot near the train with lots of parking. The staff members are all very friendly and kind. The menu is the only thing I see changing as they find their stride. Nothing was bad, most of it was fine. If we lived within walking distance we'd probably be by more often. They offer a weekday happy hour, so I think I'll be back for drinks and apps. As they offer more / new / different items I'd like to come back to try them. A random thing: their fries are REALLY good! I eat a lot of fries so...trust me. The atmosphere is very cozy while still being spacious. Lots of tables of 4-6 people while we were there. So, good for groups! Love that the fireplace is near the bar even though there aren't tables super close to it. I hope this place succeeds and they find their dishes that make them a unique destination in their own right.

Excited to have this gem in the neighborhood! Went with friends on opening weekend and can't say enough about this restaurant. The owners are amazing and friendly and staff is awesome. The menu has a lot of options to choose from and should meet anyone's wants. The wine and drink menu has a lot of great options. We tried the Smokey lady and several of their wines-all were delicious. The inside is great and cozy and I can't wait to see what they do with the other half of the space. We tried 2 appetizers and 3 meals between us and shared family style to have the ability to try a variety off the menu. My favorite of what we tried was the salmon-the butternut squash purée served with it is delicious. The spring rolls were also a favorite and I will be back for those. We also tried the key lime pie for dessert and it was great

So, we basically live here now! It has the trifecta of a great place: good food, fantastic servers and a *dart board*! I always get the cheese sticks and buffalo wings. These seem like really standard items and they are but they're extra good here. My husband loves the fried chicken sandwich and gets it almost every time. The space is absolutely beautiful too. They have what looks like an attached space that could be reserved for private functions? It would be a great place to have a party! Definitely check it out!

First, the food was very good. My party tried several dishes including the Jalisco Burger, which has a rich and spiced flavor that continues rolling after you have a bite. It's served with sweet potato fries. Caramelized cauliflower wings with mango habanero was unique. It's fantastic for those who like a more layered flavor experience with the sauce, crisps on the surface, and soft warm cauliflower center. The Chili was savory with extra helping of beans. The ground meat was soft and tasty (Personally I'd love a way to kick up the heat or smoke or add red onions for a punch in top). It was served with fresh tortilla chips which made it a sort of a nacho experience. All three items were good to very good. The service was excellent for our visit. The manager greeted us, and told us the story of how the location changed hands. He mentioned the food quality and the menu goals. Our server literally knew everything on the menu, sat with us while helping us order, and was friendly and chill. Bus service was on the spot. Everyone in our party left feeling good because in large part of the waitress and Host manager. Beer list is decent, plenty to choose along with some game day deals on domestics.. you can control your budget as you like. I would like to see a local winter stout or holiday Christmas ale. Prices: few bucks higher than a standard pub... We didn't know it was a gastropub until we ordered so come here if you want to indulge in the food vs a watering hole alone. The ambiance was right for our group of friends and some kids looking to enjoy Sunday NFL. Lots of TVsz good sight lines. Several areas, including dining and a bar. Note: It's Halloween season for our first visit and the seasonal decorations are just right Overall this owner upgraded the spot. It's on my repeat for another visit.

I am glad something new opened in this space, as its location is perfect for commuters and neighborhood walkers alike. I didn't have high expectations, seeing as it's atmosphere is pretty sports bar-y, but I was pleasantly surprised. The space is huge, so they'll probably rarely have an issue with overcrowding. I did like the giant projector set up in the side room; that would be fun to watch with a group of friends. The food selection is somewhat small, and I was hoping for a little more variety. All the wings seem to be made with Sweet Baby Ray's sauce, which turned me off at first, but they are well-made and still tasted good. The cheese sticks also seemed higher quality than some bars. I'd like to come back for the happy hour, as we had just missed it, but overall this place is solid and I look forward to seeing how they improve in the future.

This brand new place in Ravenswood will become a neighborhood staple. I went in for their soft opening this past week and had a wonderful experience -- I'll definitely be back now that they are "officially" open and will have the full menu available. A few notes: - Food: standouts for me were the salmon with butternut squash purée (this was delicious!) and the spring rolls. The calamari was also very good and their ragu sauce was delicious. - Drinks: I had a perfectly balanced Old Fashioned and a (mezcal, I think) cocktail called The Smoky Lady. LOVED both of them! - Space is elevated casual. There is a big bar, comfy booths and a lot of space to spread out to watch a game or gather with friends. I'll definitely be back for the Alfredo, the burger and another round of drinks.

We remotely planned a baby shower (from Florida and Michigan) for our daughter who lives in the neighborhood. Jason and Marcos couldn't have made it any easier for us. They were very responsive to our email questions, flexible in their terms regarding party size and were so helpful to us the day of the event in setting the room up as we desired. No contracts, deposits, food or drink minimums like other venues. They just offer a great product without the hassle and fuss. We received many compliments from attendees on the food choices we made (chicken piccata, pasta pomodoro and caesar salad) and provided boxes to allow us take out for leftovers. The servers were attentive and were very engaged with serving our needs. The space was perfect for our party of 26 where we had privacy and didn't impact other diners. We felt like it was a very good value for the offerings and size of our party. It's a great venue for a casual gathering with great food, and excellent service. Platform 47 is a great addition to the neighborhood. We'll be visiting this summer and look forward to dining ant Platform 47 again.

Chicken piccata so salty it was awful- ate some, brought it home and literally soaked it in water to remove salt but still not good.

What a thoroughly enjoyable experience it is to be here! From the owner coming over to check on us more than a few times and giving us a complimentary espressito to the personable go above and beyond servers to the AMAZING food, these folks know how to treat customers right! Beautiful atmosphere. I highly recommend the cauliflower ceviche and key lime pie! Can't wait to go back!

Neighborhood sports bar with better than your average bar food. Great beer list. Friendly servers. Definitely get here early to seat at the bar before a game. Anywhere you sit, there's a tv.

Delish! Burgers and fries. Interesting sauces. Sat out on the street side cafe and it was still good with little traffic.

Great menus selections albeit the apps and sides are a bit cooler than the mains. Service is great.

Loved everything about my visit. Food was great (best blackened shrimp EVER), good drinks (margarita with fresh lime juice), and excellent service. Even got a free shot of an espresso martini from the owner! I will absolutely be back. Thank you for being so welcoming and serving such good food!

Happy to have this in the neighborhood. It was lacking a casual bar space with delicious food. We split a burger with fries and a portabello mushroom sandwich with onion rings. Both were so good. The onion rings were some of the best I have had. The owners (Jason and Marcos) were wonderful and so friendly. Great place!

Platform 47 came recommended by a neighbor and we are glad it was. We ordered the Santi Buffalo Chicken Rolls, Platform Burger and the Jalisco burger for takeout. The food was amazing. The Burgers were great and the Buffalo Rolls were crisp and filled with flavor- not overpowering with heat. Definitely going to go back.
