As much as I love playa bowls in other locations, this place is terrible. The first thing I noted were two female employees just yelling at each other. Not the best start, but I decided to give the bowl a try. While the prices are much more expensive than other locations, I still expected a full bowl. Not only did they only give half a bowl, But everything tasted old as if they were sitting there overnight. Definitely would not eat here again.

Ordered 3 smoothies and an oatmeal bowl. Employee who did not speak much English told me they were out of oatmeal. Had to refund the order. She almost gave me the whole order for free, should have taken it. Smoothies should have had mango and pineapple but they didn’t. Took 10 mins as well. Very poor experience.

I love Playa Bowls . . . at almost any other location. This location is operationally challenged. I travel out of EWR Terminal A usually early mornings. I have my favorite go-to whenever I go to Playa Bowls, but here I am unable to get it about 75% of the time, and that is not an exaggeration. One day they don't have bananas, another day they are doing smoothies only, and other days they are out of the acai base. Any messages to their customer service have gone 100% unanswered over the past year. Super disappointing and not in line with my experiences at their other locations and overall expectations of their brand.

I arrived at 5:15pm it took 15 mins before home even came over to the register. It was quite busy at first but after five mins the rush was over and the two employees both moved slower than a sloths pace. Get up to the register to order and was immediately told they are out of all smoothies, and that the only fruit they have left is strawberries and mango. Nothing else. They ran out of all fresh fruit before 5:30pm on a Monday. This plus the slowest moving and rudest employees I’ve ever witnessed made me actually want to write a review which I rarely ever do. Management needs to step in here asap.

I don’t ever leave reviews but I am today because these people are RUDE. Whoever worked the 5:00 shift today needs training on customer service. I have celiacs and can’t have gluten. They ignored my questions walked away while I was talking and did not take my concerns seriously. They just wanted me to use the self service kiosk to avoid interaction however a kiosk can’t answer my questions. I will not be returning here and will keep in mind when coming to this airport to bring all my own food. Absolutely ridiculous, highly recommend getting some better employees as these ones don’t reflect the business well. I have never been treated this way at a building. Do better.

Sad. This was probably the worst customer service I ever received. 4 ladies working. Not one smile or courteous comment from any of them. They acted like all of their customers were disturbing their day. I asked about a substitution and instead of a polite response, I received a monotone “we don’t do substitutions.” Ok. I agreed to pay the additional cost to leave one ingredient out and add one in its place. The replacement ingredient was blueberries. I literally got TWO blueberries and one of them was shriveled. I would have gone back to have it addressed but we had to get to our plane. $16.69 and it wasn’t even right. As I waited to receive my order, I watched and not one smile or “you’re welcome” was given to another customer. Pitiful. It isn’t hard to be polite. I will not be returning to Playa Bowls when we travel.

Sweeter than other playa bowl locations. Prices on the menu are also not accurate and are $1 more at the register. was charged $15.25+tax but menu says $14.25. Waited awhile for the bowl so just took the L on the $1. Just a heads up ~

Agree with other reviewers, product is not the same as other locations, the base is premade, and was extremely icy and I couldn’t eat it. Location is understaffed and orders take a long time. It was around noon and they were out of the green base and I had to get the pitaya which was too sweet and had a slushy consistency
