Playa Bowls

We ordered three bowls: a mango berry, electric mermaid, and tide. Every bowl was delicious, made with fresh and tasty ingredients. Customer service was great as well. My guests definitely said they’d return.

Playa Bowls has quickly become my favorite chain, and the Ellicott City location is one I find myself coming back to again and again. I’ve been to other locations before and always enjoyed their fresh, vibrant offerings—but there’s something about this spot that keeps me coming back. The Pacific Playa Bowl is my all-time favorite. It’s the perfect blend of refreshing, sweet, and satisfying—whether I’m grabbing a quick breakfast, a post-workout pick-me-up, or a healthy treat during the day. The ingredients are always fresh, and the flavors are consistently on point. The staff here are friendly and efficient, and the space is clean and welcoming. It’s clear they care about quality and customer experience. I highly recommend this location if you're in the area or just looking for your next healthy obsession!

Each bowl not only tastes fresh but is also crafted to look as appealing as possible, always using fresh ingredients. The variety of flavor combinations is impressive, and no matter what you choose, you’re in for a delicious treat. Fresh ingredients and they don't shy away from quantity. Service was great and very friendly, can't praise them enough of the cleanliness inside.

Very convenient location. There’s plenty of parking even though it’s next to other restaurants and businesses. The staff are always helpful with questions about the product. We were thrilled when the location opened. Close to our house. Service is always very good the location is clean. We love the quality of their bowls and there’s plenty of flavors to choose from. My favorite is the mango berry bowl.

Best Açaí bowl I’ve ever had! We were in the area for a soccer tournament, so our first time! Literally amazing… and the choices…I could come back every day! Such a great amount for your money too!!! Thanks!

I’m obsessed with this place! The freshness and flavor of their green juices is seriously unmatched — so crisp, clean, and delicious. Their açaí bowls are amazing too, super refreshing and packed with flavor. The staff is always incredibly friendly and helpful, which makes the whole experience even better. I stumbled across this spot a couple of weeks ago, and let’s just say… they’re definitely going to be seeing a lot more of me! 😄

I LOVE playa bowls and have had it many times at several different locations. However, I’ve had smoothie bowls twice from the Ellicott City location and both times the bowl has been super sour, like the bananas are unripe. It’s disappointing when I know how good the bowls can be. I wish they would value quality and stick to using ripe fruit.

They have a huge selection of delicious acai bowls along with other flavorful fruit bowls. I especially enjoy the power bowl which includes protein powder, peanut butter, bananas, acai and a host of other nice ingredients. The staff are usually polite and it doesn't take long for the order to be ready. The store typically tends to be well maintained with someone cleaning something no matter what time I come. I enjoy the tastes although I dont always enjoy the prices.

I swear, I start off every year eating healthy. But I am proud to say that this year, I have remained consistent! Breakfast is normally a meal I skip on the weekends, but I am trying to stop that trend. In steps Playa Bowls! My husband and I visited on a Saturday morning, as soon as they opened their doors. The music was jumping, the staff was welcoming and every last thing on the menu sounded amazing. I ordered the oatmeal bowl which had strawberry, banana and nutella (I removed the coconut flakes), while my husband had one of the green bowls. My oatmeal bowl was very good, so filling. My husband also enjoyed his green bowl, he was actually raving about it all day!

Cool vibes and friendly staff. This is my second visit and won't be my last. I got the Mucho Mango bowl and it was delicious. I don't recall the look at this bowl I got but it was equally good. I'll definitely be coming back.

The BEST acai bowl in the area HANDS DOWN! I got to try their acai bowl and it was the best I have had in a while. Flavorful, sweet and perfect texture-wise. We have Toastique right next to our house, but I would drive the extra 15 minute to Playa Bowls if I need to satisfy my acai cravings. LOVE that we have this option.

Overall- super sweet and yummy, cute summer vibes, with fast and kind service Took my little one here on a special date and we split a bowl. It was over $14, which to me felt expensive, but it was a lot of food. I wish they had smaller and cheaper options. I did like that they let us get two different bases. I preferred the green base but my son preferred the açaí. The granola was very sweet. Overall it was fun and refreshing.

Fantastic bowl! Probably one the best I've had! I should have taken a pic because it was beautiful. Ellicott city location for the win! They were busy but still got me out with an Açaí bowl in like 10mins.

This is my first time ordering playa bowls since I've heard so much about it. My fiancé ordered a playa coconut power bowl that was DELICIOUS and creamy! I had a banana/cinnamon/figs/walnuts oatmeal bowl that was good, but pretty standard. I would solely come for the coconut bowls, it was very filling and refreshing.

I've tried a lot of açaí bowls and these are the absolute best. They just opened and the owner was so incredibly nice. Seemed like they did a great job training staff too-- very friendly. I usually get the tropical bowl and add Nutella. Try it and thank me later! It's pretty much perfection. The store has a fun tropical theme which makes you feel like you traveled to some far away tropical island! So glad they are close to home!

I am very disapointed in the service. When I first started going here I really enjoyed it, but my last couple of visits have been a one star experience. I waited 30 minutes for my order until I had to go up and ask for it to realize they had forgot to make it. My most recent experience was by far the worst, the second I walked in the employees rolled their eyes at me and gave me dirty looks, this was not a one time thing. My bowl was also completely frozen, and the fruit was rotten!!! I hope you teach your employees to be nicer to the customers.

Put in a mobile order. Arrived 25mins later and they said they think someone picked up my order, or I don't think we got your order. Then they check and realize that my order was in almost 30mins ago while they were making their own snacks and chatting and eating behind the cashier. They then started making it, said it'll take 2 mins, no apologies or thank you for the extra wait or anything. What is this place? A hangout for young employees? So unprofessional. If you place a mobile order with them, call them too in order to remind these employees to check for incoming mobile orders.

Customer service was ass , the two girls were so worried about continuing their conversation and didn't engage with the customer ( me ) especially because it was my first time here. The smoothie was good:)) So, maybe I'll try a different location that actually wants to work here and help their customers!

Love this place. I know they are newly open but as takeout options are usually unhealthy and fried this is my new go too. Bowls are a bit pricy but you get what you are paying for. My only complaint is sometimes the wait is quite long. The staff is very friendly and the food is delicious. If you are looking for a healthier option this is great!

Very little fruit and way too much agave. It was definitely not worth the money spent

I went to a the grand opening in Ellicott city but I did not want to send so much money for an açaí bowl so I got the cheapest thing on the menu which was $11. The service was OK and everyone was nice but the only thing I did not enjoy was the prices because I think that $13 is a little too much to spend for a bowl.Another thing is the food was pretty good compared to most of the açaí bowls I've had before and I would recommend it for picky eaters. My daughter is a really picky eater and she loved it!

I know they are newly open. But no one seems to know what's going on. Lots of running around looking busy but nothing appears to be happening with any purpose. PS long wait. They made it right by upgrading my order. Changed star rating.

oh my goodness finalllllly!! i love playa bowls i'm so happy there's one near me now because i usually had to wait until I visit delaware or towson!
