Such a beautiful spot with amazing vibes! The decor is gorgeous, the music was on point, and the service made the whole experience feel elevated but still fun. We started with a couple cocktails (the Dragon Berry Sidecar and Strawberry Lemon Drop—both SO good), and then had the Caesar and Cobb salads which were super fresh and flavorful. For mains, we tried the petite filet and the sweet chili glazed salmon—and let me just say, I don’t usually love salmon but this one completely changed my mind. It was perfectly cooked and not fishy at all. Everything came out beautifully plated and the atmosphere just tied it all together. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to!

When my husband and I arrived, we were under the impression that the restaurant was closed because it was dark inside, and there was no one to greet us at the door upon our arrival. Once inside, we stood at the front for a good while before anyone came over to greet and seat us. The female who eventually came over, asked if we had a reservation; which we did. However Im unsure why it would have made a difference because the restaurant only had two other patrons inside and remained empty up until we were about to leave. Once seated, so many different staff interacted with my husband and I that we didn't know who would be servicing our table. I ordered the salmon, which is supposed to come with 2 sides. However we were told they had neither and my salmon would be served with broccoli. My husband ordered the steak, macaroni and mashed potatoes... only to be told they didn't have any mashed potatoes. When the food came out we were quite disappointed with the lack there of. In all honesty, we go out to eat on a consistent basis and I must say that I've never received such a small portion of food as I did at Playa. I was done with my salmon in a few bites. Both the salmon and broccoli were salty. After dinnner I don't typically order desert, but because my dinner portion was so small, we requested a dessert menu. We were then told that the only option was plain cheesecake. We tried to make the best of it, as it was my husbands birthday and didn't want to ruin the night. However, I truly feel like there is more emphasis placed on the aesthetics of the restaurant than it is on service and the food quality. Lastly, after paying the bill and arriving home I realized that I was never credited the $50 that I was initially charged to make the dinner reservation. This entire experience was an epic fail. Definitely won't be taking the 45 plus minute drive back to Miami for a second take. Update: I was credited my $50 after the fact. We may reconsider revisiting and giving Playa a second try ❤️🙏🏽

I had the jerk chicken pasta, baked mac & cheese, and those calamari rings—and let me tell you, every bite was a home run. The jerk pasta had the perfect balance of spice and creaminess, the mac & cheese was rich and bubbly comfort food, and the calamari rings were golden-crispy with just the right kick. And seriously, the plating was stunning—each dish looked as good as it tasted. The vibe was very chill, nice ambience to it. My table’s waiter John was very well mannered and carried out our orders to a T. Absolute, above and beyond service.

Ordered 2 baked mac and cheese with steak and lamb chops. Asked for both to be medium and they came out well done and flavorless. Mac and cheese were okay. Steak said it came with the bone which was a lie. The wait time was an hour plus. The music was loud it was impossible to communicate. The restaurant was dirty but they played good music. 224 dollars for everything I feel robbed.

I don’t even know where to start and I do not understand how this place has a 4.2 ratings. The only good thing about this place was the service, everyone was super nice from the host and bouncer, to the waitress. The food was HORRIBLE! you expect fine dining from the menu and especially the pricing, the atmosphere was horrible, the music was very loud even though it was a Wednesday and it was pretty much empty, we had hair in the fried rice, the shrimps that were shown on the menu were jumbo shrimp and I’m not even sure what we received is called shrimps, most of the items on the menu were not available, there was oil on the bottom of the mac and cheese, and the wings were super sour and dry despite the sauce. I wouldn’t recommend this place for the life of me, there are way better options in Miami Beach or even on Lincoln Rd.

I heard great things about this place so I came for dinner. Absolutely terrible experience. The menu was very pricey but I went prepared for that and I don’t mind expensive. I love paying the price for a great culinary experience, but the food was just awful. I got the lamb chops, I asked for medium and it came well done and on top of the toughness it was extremely bland, absolutely no flavor. I had a side of mashed potatoes with that which was just as bland and flavorless. My wife got the lobster mac and cheese which was dry and the lobster was overcooked and not edible. She also had the spicy maple bourbon wings and all she got was the wings. There was no spice, no maple and no bourbon. Bland and tasteless just like everything else. Now let’s talk about the service-as you’d expect—terrible! Our waitress never came to our table to check on us for over an hour. I wanted another drink and had to wait 1 hr 15 mins to get another one. When she finally checked on us I expressed my dissatisfaction with the food and made it clear I wasn’t fishing for a discounted meal and just wanted to make it known that the food is terrible. She said she would let the chef know. The bill came and nothing was taken off. I did say this wasn’t the goal but damn paying $330 for food we didn’t eat or enjoy is a bit wild. Not even an apology was given. The ambience was great so we tried to make the best of it by singing along to the great music. They have the vibe on 10 so maybe they should just stick to being a club/lounge and leave the food alone.

I came on monday 11/17/2025 for my birthday & it was terrible. Everything we tried to order wasn’t available, this included the jerk chicken pasta, steak egg rolls, beef ramen soup, chicken, and i believe a couple of other things. We ended up leaving to find a new restaurant. What’s even crazier is that I initially wanted to make a reservation since it was supposed to be a bigger party and I was told i would’ve had to make a $500 deposit, imagine making a $500 deposit and this restaurant didn’t even have any food when we came. ridiculous!

This restaurant is poorly managed, terrible service and work with no sense of urgency. We waited more than 1 hour for food, they kept asking if we’d like drinks to distract us from the fact that the food is not prepared in a timely manner. Our food finally came out and we were offered shots as compensation to distract us from the terrible service! Management wasn’t willing to do anything to solve these issues, instead they gave the chef remove our plates without asking! This is honestly very disappointing considering their reputation online. Please do not book any reservations for special occasions, plan for errors if you are going to eat here!
