Nice beach and probably closest location to watch rocket launch, in which was impressive. However they charge $25 to enter, although lasts for 7 days think they could offer a cheaper day rate but heard the governor wants these high fees. Considering they offer no showers to rinse and limited toilets, thought it was a rip off. Aside from this the beach is nice and saw a large turtle pop his head up. at the time of visit early July, lots of parking lots (they have 13, were closed) so went to end which is clothing optional but this spills over to lot 12. No a problem as no one hassles you just mainly old and occasionally young men basically enjoying a dip or fishing in the nude. Stayed here for a few hours as the beach is wider here and more spacious than like earlier parking lots like 2-3. Did move down there during rocket launch which was impressive. Found that beach more crowded and rougher sea overall. But generally very clean beach just could do with offering showers to rinse for the 25$ fee. Or for those visiting briefly consider a daily fee less than that. There is no lifeguards and the sea can be rough with rip tides so be careful. Higher rating is for the rocket launch proximity

We went on a cloudy, stormy Saturday when there was no launch scheduled. There was no ranger at the gate, and a sign said to simply continue to the park, so I guess it was free for us. We parked in lot 1, which was nearly empty. The beach was lovely. The sand was a bit more coarse than I am used to, and the beach more steep, so the water got deep fast. The overcast skies were perfect and the temperature of the air and the water were amazing. The waves were fun for all our kids, but we had to stay close to the littlest ones because the steepness made it so that some waves got deep faster than they were anticipating, and more than once knocked them over. The facilities were basically non-existent...pit toilets in an unmaintained shed. If we had been required to pay the $25 fee, I would have been more upset about this. The boardwalk over the dunes were decent. HOWEVER...the no-see-ums, or the biting gnats were absolutely unbearable. There were annoying mosquitoes on the parking lot side of the dunes, but the biting gnats on the water side of the dunes were absolutely horrible. We weren't bothered by them while in the water, but we had hoped to have a picnic lunch, and that quickly became impossible. If we had been required to pay, this would have been a 1 or 2 star review.

Nestled at the very southern tip of the Canaveral National Seashore and butt's right up against the Kennedy Space Center property....it's likely the closest and best spot to witness a launch. Although I would venture to say the most crowded. Easy ramp access to the beach with parking and facilities. You do pay to get on the property as it is a national seashore park. It is worth it to take the drive thru trip (FREE) through the Merritt Island wildlife refuge.

This is a gorgeous beach in a beautiful natural setting. There plenty of parking. This place is ideal for a long day at the beach. The entire area is natural and undeveloped. Very relaxing. However, be prepared for the $25 per vehicle entry fee.

My favorite Beach ❤️ 13 magical beaches with parking. On weekdays and in the afternoon, they are usually deserted. The last beach is traditionally a clothing-optional spot—perhaps that’s why there’s an observatory nearby. :) 🚀 A great place to watch rocket launches. You can purchase an annual pass or pay for entry each time. At the entrance, colorful flags indicate wave conditions and the presence of dangerous marine life.

The beach is pretty, and the possibility of seeing rocks is a plus. However, the proximity to the Mosquito Lagoon was especially bothersome to me because, of course, the amount of mosquitos there. The lack of showers was also a con.
