"Elevate your macaroni and cheese goals with the truffle mac and cheese at the Playhouse Deck Restaurant and Bar, located at the Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope. This generously sized entree features cavatappi pasta and sharp cheese sauce baked with bread crumbs on top — you can even add a protein to the macaroni and cheese for an even more filling result." - Kristen Kwiatkowski

Had an amazing meal with my ladies at Playhouse in New Hope, and it was such a treat! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and great service. The ambiance was cozy and stylish, making it the perfect spot for a relaxed yet special brunch. The food was fantastic, but I have to say, the drinks were absolutely delicious—they really knew how to mix up a good cocktail! The staff made sure we had everything we needed, and the overall vibe was so welcoming. After our meal, we got to stroll around New Hope, which added a nice touch to the day. If you're looking for a great place to eat in a charming town, Playhouse in New Hope is a must-visit! Can't wait to return!

Perfect and delicious lunch out with a million-dollar river view for Father's Day. Nice selection of items: Lots of appetizers, burgers, tacos, chicken, salads, specials, soup of the day, other vegan and more! Moderately priced (we were there for a special celebration), every sale benefits the Bucks County Playhouse. Looks like a good selection of mixed drinks, wine and beer. Pix of current menu attached. Can 100% recommend the roasted cauliflower bites, baked ricotta, burgers, scallops, fried eggplant and halloumi cheese over greens, and the greens and grains salad (spinach base) with plain fried warm chicken fingers on top. Large portions except for scallops. Attentive service, relaxed casual atmosphere, clean restrooms. Wonderful selection of desserts: we loved the special dessert warm whiskey butter bread and Gelato and the espresso affogato with chocolate covered espresso beans.

Omg!!! When you go, ask for Ryan!! We went for lunch on a rainy Saturday and our server Ryan was the bomb dot com!! He was absolutely hilarious and entertaining! He really made our first time at this wonderful water view establishment an absolutely amazing experience! I had the salmon Caesar salad with olives, and that’s where the hilarity began! My BFF had the goddess sandwich with fries. Both looked delicious. Coffee chip gelato topped off the meal! Please try this restaurant and ask for Ryan!

We love new hope and make it a point to eat here when we go. The view and setting is really beautiful right by the Delaware River There are lights at night and enough seating around, the outdoor bar also is open when it’s nice out

Google
Perfect in every way. The food, the view, the staff all made for a super lunch on a sunny day. Brussel crunch salad, wow. Cheese steak panini? Woah! Again, great location, super people.

First time is this area and everything was just amazing! Heard about this place so had to check it out. Let’s just say the food was outstanding. Very flavorful and tasty. The views at night are just incredible. Definitely have to go back and try different dishes, the staff was very attentive and helpful. Definitely recommend going! FYI- drinks are very good!

The Playhouse Deck is probably my husband’s and my favorite place in New Hope. The staff from food runners, to bartenders, to management is amazing, with a special shout out to Max. Max is such a good bartender, they remember our regular order and are always game if I want to try one of the rotating specialty cocktails or they’ll recommend something to try by asking for some likes and dislikes. They’re also so fun to talk to and one of the reasons we started going to Playhouse Deck regularly when we’re out in town. We mostly sit at the bar and seeing the team work together when it’s packed pre or post show or during intermission is nice—you can tell they have each other’s backs while also ensuring they’re taking care of bar patrons and show patrons. We would love to see Playhouse Deck open later in the evenings for after dinner drinks and even some dancing?!

Google
Beautiful view and friendly service (our waitress was Amy - nice and professional). Drinks were on point with healthy selections of beer, wine, and cocktails. My favorite was the apple cider mimosa, but the foods wasn’t matching our previous dining experience here. We had a plate of hummus for apps, kale salad, friend chicken, burger and pork cutlet. Hummus and burger were delicious. Fried chicken had yummy breading but was dry like cardboard. Pork cutlet was hammered thin and overcooked as well. The only thing that was cooked perfectly on the plate was the actual French fries. I hope they make correction on their dishes soon to ensure consistency through the whole menu, otherwise we won’t be back.

Yelp
We were there for an autumn afternoon lunch. The restaurant was clean, busy and reasonably well staffed. The food was delicious and the value was good. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for casual dining in New Hope without having to spend a fortune. We'll be back.

Yelp
Restaurant interior is modern and clean. If the weather is nice, highly recommend getting a table outside since the view of the river is fantastic, especially in the fall. The food, unfortunately, is not good. Ordered the Chicken Caesar Pita ($19) and Broadway Burger ($23) and both were dry and flavorless. Best tasting thing was probably the side of fries that came with the burger and that's not saying much. High cost for mediocre quality. Worst part about this place is the valet parking. $30 for a disorganized and packed lot. The two attendants seemed more preoccupied with checking cars in rather than helping people leave. One of them wasn't even in uniform and was especially rude and unprofessional. I would definitely street park or even park in Lambertville and walk across the bridge instead of dealing with the valet.

Yelp
Located at the Playhouse, the Deck has a beautiful view of New Jersey across the Delaware. The windows go up in the summer to catch the breeze.. They have a special menu that is tied to what they're currently presenting at the Playhouse. We had the Tiramisu. Both the Scallops and the Miso Salmon were delicious. Service was competent, though a little slow to start. We will return, especially when we attend a play!

Morganne M.

Yelp
Very cute spot with lots of outdoor seating and great food and drinks. The service was very good as well. I got the eggplant burrata which was fantastic. Everyone received huge portions that most couldn't even finish, the eggplant burrata and the cheesesteak panini were both essentially two portions. Everyone enjoyed their food and their cocktails.

Yelp
Visited this place on a lovely Saturday afternoon. We grabbed a table outside on the "deck" as opposed to the "high top" tables that were offered. We were so glad we were able to be seated at a standard table. The deck was booming with people walking by and a nearby wedding that was taking place at Stella's. We ordered pretzel bites for an appetizer, a regular summer beer, mixed drink and I went with the southern chicken entree that came with wedges, cold slaw, and a biscuit. My partner had burger with a side salad. The app arrived shortly after drinks. It was your standard order of pretzel bites. I like the cheese that we paid $1.50 extra for. I chose to eat that over the mustard. Our entrees arrived. I absolutely loved the seasoned potato wedges. The biscuit was just okay. The chicken could have been juicer. It was a little on the dry side, but edible and seasoned. My partner said his burger was good. He loved his side salad. We opted to skip dessert and instead had dessert drinks. I went with a chocolate martini and he had another beer. All in all, this was a solid dinner option for the area. We would revisit again if/when we are nearby.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere with a beautiful view of the water, but the food is so-so. The service is good too

Yelp
A lovely place to eat before the show! Make a reservation. The location is fantastic! If the weather is beautiful, they have outdoor seating. The inside feels like a modern pub - industrial. Picture of past productions at the playhouse fill the walls. The food is great. The roasted organic chicken was moist and seasoned. The chicken tender box was fresh (though the waiter forgot the dipping sauces and eventually we got them). The steak and cheese panini was fine - it needed a bit more A1 sauce. The cheese board for the table could be skipped. The penne pasta portion is big but good so beware. The drinks are great! Any of the cocktails are delicious. The service could use some work. Lots of dropped glasses and didn't see our waiter much but not his fault. The staff could be bigger! All in all a great spot before the show. Recommend getting there at 5 or 5:15pm for a 7:30 show.

Shannon S.

Yelp
Service was quick and friendly. Sandwiches were fresh and tasty. The fries on the side were crispy and seasoned well. The drink was surprisingly tasty and crisp.

Amity W.

Yelp
Came here after work with my friend and had a great time! The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. There is outdoor and indoor seating. The best way to access The Deck (when it's nice out) is to go to the water's edge behind the entrance of The Playhouse and take a right, there is signage and metal black stairs that lead up to the restaurant. Otherwise, you can also enter from inside with an elevator at the back. We ordered the Burrata and Antipasto Board to share. I ordered the Stolen Princess cocktail. The cocktail was well made with a mixture of sweet and citrus flavors! The Burrata was the perfect texture and temperature. The melon that came with it was sweet but not overpoweringly so, which went great with the balsamic glaze drizzled on top and paired with the crunchy crostini. Similarly, the Antipasto Board had a great variety of items, the meat was seasoned well and sliced very thin, which I prefer. Good amount of cheese pairings and the herbed ricotta spread was very tasty and a surprise favorite of mine! Would certainly come back again, especially around sunset!

Yelp
We came here closing night of Tick Tick Boom for dinner and a show. Every time I tried to call to make a reservation, the system said "deck phone not available". We originally sat at the bar, but a cancellation allowed us to get a table. It was nice of them to seat us after the trouble trying to make a reservation. The drinks are really good, but the table service is very slow. We had given ourselves plenty of time before the show, they knew we were there for the show, and our dinner cut it close. Other tables were getting served before us when they were sat after us. The food is so-so. The drinks are great. Unfortunately I don't think we'll be back for dinner, but we might have drinks again before the next show. Hope this place can pick up the pace - a lot of competition in New Hope. Such a great view too, wish we had a better experience.

Yelp
Food, Service, Ambiance..... all excellent! First of all when my boyfriend and I walked in we were greeted by Amanda and Erica with a warm welcome! We were then seated and enjoyed the over the top service and attention by Alex, Amy, Christa, and Nicole... they all made us feel sooo welcome! Josh and Alex also stopped by the table to say hello. WHAT A FABULOUS START TO DINNER! I enjoyed the salmon and my boyfriend had the crab cakes... both entrees delicious. We combined our salad appetizers with the entrees to make for a culinary feast. We didn't have room for dessert. I just can't say enough about the Deck.... you have to try it for yourself! The food was delicious but it's the amazing Deck team who make for a memorable night! Even though the dining room was packed.... We were treated so nice... you would have thought we were the only guests in the room!

Yelp
The perfect rating for this place was official within literally 30 seconds of walking up to the bar - the bartender took my ID, frowned at the picture/date of birth, and called me Old Babyface. It makes me sound adorable and tough all at once. And as an added bonus? The drink was fantastic. My top tier chums and I came here for a drink this past Saturday in the late afternoon, probably around 4pm. They have an interesting setup here. The bar/restaurant is attached to the Bucks County Playhouse (which has hosted such luminaries as recently departed BFF Angela Lansbury), but the entrance - unless there was a much more obvious one that we overlooked - is in the back, and requires either an elevator ride up to the second floor where the bar is, or a walk up a longish deck staircase. What's very cool about this though is that once you get your drink, you're permitted to go back outside and just hang out in the chairs on the walkway overlooking the Delaware River. I'm not clear on where the jurisdictional line is where you're officially no longer under the purview of The Deck, but they're taking a leap of faith with their clientele (though I guess in the worst case scenario where a customer violates their trust, they're only out a glass). It was a little awkward to carry my full cocktail glass down the flight of stairs, but I thought it was a reasonable price to pay to hang out in the river chairs. I decided to go with the Stolen Princess, featuring peach puree and one of my favorite cocktail chums elderflower liquor. Delicious. Not only is the bartender an exquisite judge of youth, but her mixology skills were right on point. Everything was perfectly blended, with no one ingredient overwhelming the senses. If it wasn't a day of debauchery with other stops in my future, I absolutely would have had another. The sugar rim was also scrumptious. It's hard to say whether the cocktail or the environment was the biggest selling point, but as you can see from the attached, we also had the honor of viewing a pooch on a jet ski in the water, as well as many friendly people and canine chums on dry land nearby. A perfect experience.

Yelp
Decent restaurant for the area. Valet parking here is a whopping $30, which I thought was kind of ridiculous for the area. We drove further down the block for some metered parking that was $10 for 2 hours. The restaurant was pretty empty for a Friday night, but the live band was playing some nice jazzy tunes. Our group of 4 had no problems getting a table, and service was quick and attentive. The food was decent, but nothing special. The appetizer was good. Definitely shareable. The salmon and asparagus was also decent but I really felt like I could make this at home. Maybe lacking some salt and seasonings. My favorite was actually the pasta I ordered, which was warm and comforting. Overall, everything was good but not great. Not a bad spot for the area, but nothing groundbreaking either.

David N.

Yelp
Good service, nice setting (this last time sat outdoors) and so convenient for playhouse. Valet parking supports the theater and makes the night very easy in a bustling town avoid the fried eggplant dish.

Tracy C.

Yelp
I don't know how the food is as the hostess service was not up to a par and it's all the hostess station to blame. Before I got on the elevator, I notice there were seats outside that people were sitting and EATING so when I get to the hostess post as there was 3 ladies there and I give them my name and they couldn't find it and I pull up the reservation notice that I picked the wrong day so I asked is there anything available- the only thing we have is the bar seats now (noticing that I actually am disabled and in a cane) then I said well is there away you can accommodate us we can wait we are only 4. I'm going to have to look for a manager again no one at the hostess port was busy or handling anymore customers as this gentleman walks by and she says Sean here is the situation and I got a tone we can not accommodate you at all as this is opening night. Very rude but all good so the only thing I say to your business teach your staff to be more respectful and don't look down at your customers as we are the one that pay for your facility to be open and have a job in these hard times as now I will recommend your surrounded restaurants the business.

Gregory W.

Yelp
So I decided to have a drink after a play. Ordered a drink from the bar. Walked out on a lovely deck overlooking the river with friends. There was seating with a sign saying to see hostess if you want to sit down. We stood having our drinks with just 2 other people sitting down. We were told no standing on the deck. I asked where's that sign. I asked for the manager but was told they weren't around. Talk about asinine rules. No wonder the place was empty and the restaurant gets bad reviews. . Oh yes the restrooms were filthy dirty with a sanitary napkin on the floor. Stay away!

jennifer t.

Yelp
First time here. We arrived, we sat, our waitress Brie greeted us as she was counting money, and seemed frazzled. Within minutes we heard her apologize to almost all of the tables around us. I ordered the Thyme to Party cocktail- it was terrible. I am not one to send anything back but I couldn't even choke it down. Not sure if the ratios of items in the drink were off or if it just had too much alcohol.... Either way it wasn't good. I ordered the Greek salad with salmon on it. First bite... the salmon had the skin left on it. I know you can eat salmon skin but I personally do not want that on my salad. Someone who brought our food took the side plates that were there upon the food's arrival, so then I had nowhere to put the skin or the pepperoncini stems. The food was good though. Just an ok experience overall. I'm sure it's beautiful in the nicer weather by the water.

Yelp
Enjoyed a drink while waiting for Playhouse to open! Beautiful view of the river! Nice bar with good service!

Pat R.

Yelp
We enjoyed a tasty lunch for four on a quiet sunny winter day recently. Our service was very warm, efficient and hit all the right notes. Some high points: our greeting from the host and follow up as we waited for a table; bar service as we waited; the table service with our meal ; all were professional and really had a warm vibe. The food was also very good; we had a variety of lunch options : salmon with salad; burgers and another salmon entree option. In addition we enjoyed the cheese board with house made roasted garlic honey. For the drinkers- the cocktails were all yummy with some fun options. The piece de resistance was the view of the river on a beautiful afternoon. All in all/ great option while in New Hope!

Mark G.

Yelp
Stopped in for a cocktail and meal prior to a show, Spamilton. We sat at the bar and ordered a tequila cosmo and a vesper. They were both well prepared and tasty. The place is basically a pub with tables and high tops overlooking the River. Very nice views even though it is night time now. It would be lovely during warmer seasons. A delightful person from the theater came by to check us in for the play, checked our vax status and ID's. All good. We ordered a roasted burrata salad to split. The salad was very tasty but came at warp speed and could not possibly have been just made. We both liked it though. I thought the burrata itself was not as creamy as I like. The Barman was very good. Attentive and solicitous. It was now about 7pm and the place was filling up. For our mains we got mini beef Wellington and an eggplant Boulangere. We thought the beef Wellington was wonderful. The eggplant was very crispy and also tasty but we could not find any béchamel in there. We asked and were informed it was between the eggplant slices. Oh well. It was ok but not the best eggplant I ever had. On to the play! Mark & Nancy.

Yelp
First visit to New Hope PA, the area was bustling. Stopped to have lunch at The Deck, put are name on the list and was told 45 minutes. Went to the bar and waited 45 minutes asked when our table would be ready they said another 45 minutes . The staff at reception were rude , when we finally got a table it all went well. The 1 star is for the front desk and not intended for wait staff or food.

Carrie S.

Yelp
We found this place walking down the street. We were seated immediately on a Friday night. Unfortunately it was too cold and windy to sit outside. Must be beautiful during the summer by the water. The service was great. He was new and was learning as he went. No issues with that at all! You could tell he needed more training from management on the menu. Not his fault! He had a great personality and will do well!!! I'm not sure why I chose the 3 stars. The food was great. Decent drink selections. I just don't think it was worth the price. Especially for burgers, etc. I guess it fits with the area?!? I had the spinach salad and added the salmon. Huge piece of salmon. Great crust on it. The "6 minute eggs" were awesome. The rest of my table ordered burgers and the steak sandwich. No complaints. The only odd thing is that one person wanted fried onions on their burger instead of raw and the server said they couldn't do it. Strange since the steak sandwich comes with fried onions. We also had the Buffalo chicken appetizer. Very tasty.

Keith S.

Yelp
Excellent! Food was tasty (had the steak panini). The fries were great, but not enough. Service was fast, friendly and professional. Nice view of the river.

Roy B.

Yelp
We were in New Hope over the holiday break and wanted to get a quick bite before we headed out on a train ride. Using our trusty Yelp app, we found The Deck and thought we would try it out. Glad we stopped in because although the menu is not extensive, the items available are of really good quality and the service on our trip was very good. Laura was our server and she was attentive and friendly- checking on us frequently. Meatball Sandwich was the star of the show- made with wild boar, the flavor was fantastic- moist and in-depth flavors. Chicken wings were very good as well. A specialty drink menu led Mrs. me to order a blackberry sour. She really enjoyed it while I had a Bloody Mary and it was just ok. Great views over the water and I'm sure it will always be a hit when the warmer weather comes. For sure we would come back.

Jan D.

Yelp
Drinks started with Jack n coke, Gingember cocktail and Jalapeño Business cocktail. All were delicious with the new $15 normal. Tried the cauliflower wings appetizer and the flavor and texture were terrific. Hot and perfectly roasted. Our entrees were salmon which was hot and perfectly done with al-dente sugarsnap peas and carrots in ginger sauce toss. Healthy and delicious. My hubs had a caprese panini which he loved but thinks Covid has robbed him of basil flavor still. I tried it and the basil was fresh and forward. Our server, Silvia ,was knowledgeable and had every detail we asked about. Attentive without being overwhelming, she made our meal great. Ask for a Silvia table.

Diane B.

Yelp
I got a text message the day before asking me to confirm our reservation which I did. We got down early so sat outside and enjoyed the river views. We then went to go inside and found the door and elevator locked. I found out from another theater goer that the there was a water heater issue. I get that things break but a sign saying restaurant closed for a private party was not the way to go. A simple sign saying restaurant closed for repairs would have made more sense. My main problem was the restaurant had the capability to confirm a reservation via text why couldn't it send out a text restaurant will be closed.

Belinda H.

Yelp
Wandered around town for the afternoon and wanted a light dinner. This place has great views, a pleasant vibe inside, cute bar area, and good food. We came on a winter Saturday and the town was still busy. Parked a few blocks away, but it's a cute walk. Restaurant is on the second floor in the back (has an elevator or stairs). In the summer this would be really awesome since the windows roll open. I had the Brussels crunch salad with shrimp, which was great! Brussels were warm and pecans were toasty. Loved it! Husband had the salmon with salsa, potatoes, green beans. Nicely cooked. Loved the salsa and potatoes. Would definitely come back again.

Sherri S.

Yelp
Lunch and show on a weekday with a group of 35 ladies. Evita was the show. Our lunch was pre-paid and we had a choice of salmon, chicken or rigatoni. Anyone who ordered the salmon raved. I mean it was over the top delicious. Still thinking about it bc it was that scrumptious. However those who ordered the chicken had a complete opposite experience...tough, over cooked and could not eat it. They were all very disappointed. Most just left it on their plate. Service was right on and excellent. Valet parking in their lot...$30!! Omg...crazy price!!! We used Kiosk two blocks away for $11 total. I hope people park elsewhere however the lot was packed!! Overall, it was an enjoyable afternoon.

Brian M.

Yelp
I wanted to rate them higher, the waitress was nice, the restaurant has a nice atmosphere and great views of the Delaware River. Service and decor is a 4 and that's a gift. The restaurant and bathrooms are very clean. The food was a 3 at best. I had the Veggie Burger which is plant based and tasted like a real hamburger. It comes with coleslaw and herb fries. The bun had a char flavor which helped. The burger itself was a little bland. We also had the lobster roll which was disappointing? Fishy flavor and was bland, not much for $23. It also comes with the fries which were good. This restaurant is packed on the weekend and I'm not sure why with the taste of the food. This is a nice place to have a drink although you can do much better at other restaurants around New Hope and Lambertville NJ just over the bridge at the Delaware River. I would expect management to improve the level of food to match the reputation of Bucks County Play.

Paul A.

Yelp
My wife and I came here on a Sunday afternoon on the recommendation of a local. That makes this all the more disappointing. There was a wait for seating, ok understandable and it was a nice day to sit by the river but once we were buzzed that our table was ready things went down hill fast. There was no uniform idea for masks. Of three people on the service table one had a mask, one didn't and one had it on her chin. There were no signs so you had no idea how they were handling things. I'm fully covered but I found the lack of direction unsettling. The seat we were lead to had a very nice view. The girl dropped us off and disappeared. There were no place settings. There were no menu's. A digital icon was on the table top but when my wife scanned it nothing came up. we had already been waiting half an hour before conducted into a half empty room then apparently abandoned by the staff to our fate. Were we expected to fish out the window for our meal? There had been no offer of 'someone will be with you shortly.' No menus, no flatware, no sign of service. Nothin'. After waiting for a little bit we got up and walked out. No one seemed to noticed, or care. New Hope is a town full of wonderful places to eat. We went of one of them and see no point in going back here. If the staff doesn't learn the lessons of making a guest feel welcome, I suspect a great many people may do this same thing in the future.

Margie A.

Yelp
A lovely gem yucked behind the Bucks County Playhouse. A gorgeous view of the Delaware River with a menu with something for everyone. Our burgers were delicious and cooked to perfection. The staff was friendly and helpful. One of the things which I liked is this restaurant helps support the theater! I would definitely return!

Jeffrey S.

Yelp
This used to be a really fun place to come and stop. I don't know what y'all did but you put a sign out front stating "new chef, new menu". Nothing on the menu is appetizing. Nothing on the menu is appealing. Who wants to go to lunch and get an $18 plate of hummus? Put sandwiches. Put something back on the menu that people want, not this Over priced, unappealing, and honestly overly fake and fancy menu. We hate doing this, but when we saw the menu we got up and we left. We used to love it here. We won't be coming back.

David C.

Yelp
Went here for a family event. Beautiful spot and attentive staff. The prices however were crazy. The food was subpar no one in my group liked the food all that much.

Elaine B.

Yelp
Delicious scallop dish with generous portion five beautifully seared scallops, parsnip purée, roasted carrots, parsnips and Brussel sprouts! Service was excellent and cool atmosphere. Excellent!

Jeffrey K.

Yelp
I've been to the deck a few times over a year ago, but have never been impressed. I decided to give it another shot. I was totally shocked how good every dish was. Not just good, very good. After raving about the food, I was informed they had a new chef. The Deck went from a place I've forgotten, to one of the better restaurants in the area. We'll definitely be back very soon.

Elizabeth G.

Yelp
We usually come here for drinks when we're in the area. Can never complain! There's always something new and interesting to try, and their on tap options don't disappoint. The staff is very attentive and they've taken great measures given the current circumstances.

Ross B.

Yelp
Mackenzie made this dinner great. After walking out of another place... we came here for some local fare. Great burgers, cheese board and Brussel sprouts - and drinks. But our server, a recent collage grad took great care of us. Made a good meal better and what we had counted out a as bad night - into a memorable one. Thanks Deck and Mackenzie!

Michele Mimi L.

Yelp
Food was amazing. Steak potatoes and soup Service a little slow, but we were seeing the show right there so it was no big deal

Amanda N.

Yelp
Greatest burger I've had in a long time. The views on the patio are beautiful. The food was delicious and portions were generous. We shared 2 meals for 3 adults. The waitress was great. I had a very nice lunch here with my family. Great little spot on the river.

Kelly M.

Yelp
Amazing lunch overlooking the water! Salads were so fresh and shrimp, abundant. Highly recommend.

Diane S.

Yelp
I attended a birthday party at the Deck. First, the bar staff was rude and trying to get a drink was impossible (not due to it being too busy). The only attentiive staff was the young barback and he couldn't serve drinks. The appetizers were ok but not worth the money. The venue was pretty but that is all it has going for it. Go somewhere else.

Yelp
We went to the Deck last night, four adults and two children. Here's the good part, the appetizers were good. Not exceptional but good. One of the diners had a fish which he said was exceptional. However, for the price you are better off to go elsewhere. The menu is lacking terribly. There are so few entrees and if you have any diet restrictions at all forget about going there. The place looks more like a pub but the menu does not reflect it. The service was the worst we have experienced in a long time. We had to ask for water on three occasions, when we asked if we could add a chicken to the salad he said no. We asked him to check since fired chicken was on the menu, we just wanted grilled chicken. NO. This tells me they fry up the chicken well in advance of serving it. We were never asked to replenish drink orders. To add insult to injury they added a 20% tip onto the bill. He told us they do that for large parties. Four adults to children ages 3 & 5??? There are so many choices you need to look elsewhere. If they want to survive they need to improve the menu and the service. It was so much better before, perhaps when they closed for the "redo" they should have remained so.

Yelp
Unfortunately, this place was more a miss than a hit. Positives - the staff was friendly, and the view of the river was nice. However, the food was a miss for us. The cheese board was pathetic - 3 cheeses, melba toast, and a honey that was mixed with "something". It was smoky, spicy, sweet - it just didnt work for us with the cheeses. But no other jams, fruits, nuts - nothing. The rigatoni bolognese was HORRIBLY over salted. Then had pecarino romano on top of that!! I cook with that cheese all the time - if you're using that as a topping or even IN the bolognese - it IS the salt!! May as well have just ate spoonfuls of salt - there is no way a chef in back is taste testing their food for QC. Unfortunately I have to go on record here as to say this was the worst bolognese I have ever had. The fried chicken was OK - but lets face it - it's simply fried chicken. Nothing special. Sorry Playhouse Deck - I had high hopes for you coming in, but it fell flat.

Yelp
Food was great, drinks were better, service was excellent. I had the burger and fries, huge portion. My husband had the steak and it was phenomenal. Service was great. The Chef/Manager was very attentive. At most restaurants that feels fake and annoying, but this guy was very friendly and genuine. I have 2 complaints- the high tops are way too small for 2 adults to eat dinner at. It was very awkward. Also, the table was about an inch off balance. I'm talking spill your drink while you cut your food off balance. I literally had to hold the table still while my husband was cutting his steak. The view of the river is beautiful.

Yelp
I've actually been dying to try this place since I work ~1000ft from this place and I have dozens of customers daily asking for recommendations on where to eat in New Hope. Plus it's a beautiful location and right on the water. The price isn't bad for New Hope, probably averages like $16 per meal. I got the smokehouse burger and it collapsed midway, so I finished with a fork and knife. Everyone in my party agreed the slaw that came with everything (we all got burgers) was inedible. It was so spicy, and I love spicy food. Chips were good. Our server Alex was really nice! However it was a breezy and colder night and all the doors were up on the windows. (There's small garage doors that come down to close the windows? Can't explain) And we were informed they can't lower just one for our table. If they lower one they have to lower all of them, and they denied our request. It must've been like 50 degrees in there. I'm definitely going to have to try the restaurant again before I recommend it.

Yelp
This is not my place for food be because we come before a show at the BCPH. Good drinks and perfect prep for a play.

Yelp
We stopped by here last week for an early dinner. The waitress was great. The view was great. The food... well not so great. So great place for a drink and a great river view, but I would suggest eating before you go.

Yelp
Great day to be in New Hope!! Met Alex at the entrance, very friendly, welcoming, and he was wearing his Dino socks! There was a 15-20 minute waiting time for outdoor seating, he suggested that we wait at the upstairs bar great drinks! Especially, Summer Negori drink

Yelp
We've been waiting in line about 30 min and then a hostess said she would find a table soon, it took another 30 min, we asked her how much time should we wait, she said another 30 min. She messed up with tables and someone came to help her.. ridiculous wasting of time on Saturday :(
