PLAZA DEL TORO

The dining experience here was super wonderful! It was a gorgeous environment with very nice staff. The food was next level delicious!

Good location so-so access. The food was good, not stellar. I know doing big events is challenging, but I would keep that in mind when constructing the menu. The paella rice was over and there was no socarat. Most of the appetizers were good, but some were oily and precarious to eat. The space is loud, too. The cider was excellent as well as the steak and salad. The beans were not great - under. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, but I am not sure we will do it again.

You cannot go wrong with this place! The entire experience from start to finish was beyond my expectations. The Plaza Del Toro team (Katie especially) was a fantastic resource for me planning the event. There kindness and prompt communication was just another selling point in helping us make the right decision. All of the dishes at our event were insanely DELICIOUS and all my guests were beyond stuffed. The vegetarian and vegan options they provided were also fantastic and beautiful. We were so impressed with how efficient the staff was! The bartender and chefs mesmerized our guests with their skills. The cocktails and bar were so fantastic!! They were delicious and complimented the atmosphere perfectly. Every detail of our event will be engrained in our memory forever. They made our dream wedding come true.

Probably the best food I've had in Portland. We had our company party here and everything was perfect - the bar, the appetizers, the main course, the desserts, and the venue itself. They have a really awesome wood fired grill right in the middle where you can watch them cook the food. Highly recommended for events.

My wife and I had our wedding ceremony and reception here in June. For a year up to the wedding, we were in communication with Katie. She was EXCELLENT to worth with and made sure every detail was dialed in. The big day went perfectly smooth, and the food (from Toro Bravo) was amazing. So many of our guest have since raved of how great the food and venue was. Highly recommended!

We had our rehearsal dinner and welcome reception at Plaza del Toro, and don't have enough good things to say. We worked with Katie to plan the event, and she was fabulous and very organized! The space itself is absolutely beautiful, all of our guests really enjoyed it. And the food and drinks are beyond! We did a smaller dinner with the wedding party and immediate family, and then invited the rest of our guests to a larger reception later in the evening with appetizers, desserts and drinks. The food was presented beautifully, and was delicious. The flow of the evening worked out perfectly!

My husband and I had our beautiful wedding reception, with about 120 guests, at PLAZA DEL TORO and It was PERFECT! We chose the MEC menu and every guest we talked to absolutely loved the food and drinks. Besides the dancing, I'm pretty sure the menu was the highlight of our guests' night. Katie, you are a sparkling gem. Thank you for guiding us through every step of the way up to our wedding day, making our whole planning process a breeze...Thank you! Also, a big thank you to Mich and the whole staff for excellent service and making everybody's night comfortable and unforgettable. I can't rave enough about how wonderful our experience was with Plaza Del Toro. My husband and I chose the venue for our wedding reception and couldn't be happier with how it all turned out. The new location is beyond beautiful, the ambiance is perfect for an intimate gathering, the staff was exceedingly courteous and responsive to all of our requests, and Katie (the Director of Affairs) simply couldn't be nicer! Multiple guests told us it was the most beautiful wedding venue they've seen. My husband and I would choose Plaza Del Toro to host our wedding reception again without a single hesitation! Pro tip: get the oyster bar! It was such a hit with our guests! You won't be disappointed!

Service is impeccable! The food is fancy! I'm sure the price tag is extreme!! Went to a wedding reception here recently and thankfully there was a parking lot across the street ( pay to park of course). Look this place is fancy it just wasn't my vibe, 'salad' served was less salad and more cheese, pears and prescutto. Steak was way under cooked that I really couldn't eat it. The mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts were amazing. I would have preferred they asked how I wanted my steak cooked. The wine pairings were fantastic and the drinks were delicious. Their staff is amazing although camera shy when asked by guests to take photos for the bride and grooms memory books (but I get it). Their open kitchen is really cool. Oh and they also served vegetarians meat (even after they asked if they had any special dietary restrictions).

Wow. Our daughter's wedding reception was held here and it was beyond wonderful. The staff was efficient, friendly, helpful, and on top of everything!! The food was beyond this world outstanding. I just can't say enough about how they made it so special. I am so grateful we got to be there!!!

My review and rating speak to the GREAT talents of Katie Grosz, their Director of Events. We were planning an upcoming Rehearsal Dinner at Plaza del Toro when the Pandemic hit. Katie recommended Hunt & Gather who eventually took over the Fabulous space on Glisan Street. We started the planning process once again. Katie is very personable, knowledgeable and overall a dream to work with. We hit it off from our first meeting. I knew we were in good hands and had no doubt our event would be everything we hoped for. But alas, due to Covid "gathering" restrictions, we were not able to host the RD at Hunt & Gather. This venue is perfect in every area. We stopped in during our last visit to Portland to meet the owner/chef, Laura Harlow-Biggs. She's wonderful! I know that if/when we can gather in greater numbers we will definitely choose Hunt & Gather~

Hunt and Gather is our top catering referral in the PNW. Their service and attention to detail far exceed all other groups and their catering services are absolutely exquisite. They literally think of every single detail. Their new event space is simply divine! The wow factor when you walk in sets the mood but it's all of the other thoughtful touches that bring the entire space together. Events at Hunt and Gather is THE place to be for a top notch event. Whether hiring them for outside catering, or utilizing their new venue space, you will not be disappointed!!!!
