Despite the lack of people, the area was perfect for taking some pictures. It would be nice if there was a hidden sound system in the whole area to put some music to perk up the place.

The plaza feeling is no longer felt. It's quite empty, actually. It's unfortunate to see that many shops are closing and or empty. It's a great place to sit down, enjoy a coffee and admire the scenery, or simply take a walk and snap photos.

Lutthanee Sattharatanatri

Google
The store offers a wide variety of products to choose from. There is a spacious and secure parking area with security personnel conducting regular checks.

First time here and enjoyed it. Lots of shopping with good prices. I loved being around the Hispanic people. They actually had a concert while there. Definitely a must visit if you’re in the area.

Adrian Omorio

Google
Outdoor shopping center styled like a Mexican plaza. Colorful tile work and fountains make it photogenic. Good mix of restaurants and small shops. Weekends sometimes have live music. Lively but still relaxed

I've been coming here for the past 10 years, their tortas are great (milanesa and carnitas) and their mamey Agua fresca is a personal favorite.

Karen Tapia

Google
I’ve been coming to this place since I was a teenager and I’ve seen it change throughout the years with new places coming and going. Most of the changes have happened in the recent months with so many stores going out of business and so many empty lots for rent. Just recently the carousel left. It’s just very sad because this place hold a soft place in my heart. It is full of Mexican history behind its architecture and art pieces but at the same time has a very humble and real feel to a marketa in Mexico . Just wished it wasn’t slowly fading away due to inflation and all these new politics.

Google
Amazing shopping places. Many different vendors and options for food. The market area. Has some authentic products and produce. I like the jello right when you enter from the south side.

Yelp
Bonito lugar, me recuerda la plaza del centro de Leon, Gto. Aqui se puede comer tradicional comida Mexicana

Yelp
8/30/23 This place is HUGE!Plaza Mexico This is our first time here & Hubby's been meaning to check it out. There's so many shops & it'll probably take about a half a day just to visit the first floor. It's in the middle of the week & I'm pretty sure it gets packed on the weekends. We found parking right in front of El Gallo Giro. There's a bakery, a fish market inside the venue and a boatload of snack, dulcelarias-we felt like kids let loose at a candy store. There's a pharmacy, bookstore, jewelry shops, lingerie, shoes, pet store, cellular accessories, boots & cowboy hats, dry cleaners, even a massage place. I was looking at my phone to add photos on Yrlp & when I looked up a lady accosted ne & out of nowhere I got roped into getting a massage! LoL. She said "One minute, no charge, let me show you" and then before I could say anything else, I agreed to a 42 minute massage for $42. I must admit, it's probably the best impromptu massages I've ever had-no lie!! Leo was really adept at finding the problem knots & I felt like a new person once I was done. The massage itself is a 5/5 but given no privacy & the staff talking among themselves in their language-no bueno. But if it's just a massage you want w/o the frills-Leo's got your back-literally:)) I passed by some many small snack shops with some items I've never seen before. I was afforded a taste of some stir fried crickets with garlic n chile flavor--not bad. Hubby was not a fan. I needed to replace my phone case, got one for $12. Done. Hubby bought his piggies (see photo) and he says it's as close as his childhood memory kind of pan dulce. We have to go back & our cumadre (our Goddaughter's mom) wants to go with us then. Lots more places to explore!!

Yelp
Valentino Jewelry removed gold from my ring to make it smaller 2 sizes but kept my gold and a few weeks later my ring broke. They would not fix it for free or a discounted price. Please don't shop or take jewelry there to be fixed. Continue your business with the jewelry stores that have been there and that you have history with.

Yelp
Plaza Mexico is the place to be for all. They have a lot of different stores with different value. Some shops and restaurants are reasonable and others are a bit overpriced. They have pretty good service all around. The selection of stores and restaurants is insane. My gym is walking distance for me. I walk my dog early morning and he loves it. This place has different events and attractions. They decorate the place beautifully during most holidays. Come walk around bring the family and enjoy a bit of our heritage. I love it!!!

Tequana D.

Yelp
When you go here you are asking for problems, new purchase with defects that they make you pay for instead of being responsible
google avatar

Yelp
I went here one day by myself just to see what was inside and they have pretty good shoe places along with some cute little clothing. Overall a good place to walk around and get out the house. Parking is cool. Very creative idea.

Yelp
Very very interesting place and a must stop if you're in the Lynwood area and have never been. It's basically a big indoor/outdoor plaza with plenty of flea market style shopping a places to eat. It almost feels like you are in Mexico at times. Free parking.

Yelp
I took my parents and sister for lunch, we all loved it!! Food was delicious the ambiance was very happy!!! Music playing clowns performing and a lot of shops for shopping! Definitely coming back!!

Jessica M.

Yelp
food was bad horrible service and poor quality food. they did not want to attend me or help me as a paying customer! they gave us the wrong food and spoke in spanish to coworkers talking about how they shouldn't serve us. never going again don't recommend!

Suki Y.

Yelp
It's a good establishment the food, the people the way it feels being there is absolutely amazing

Yelp
Everybody and their mommas be here, if you're Hispanic and from LA you probably come and do your eyebrows here, grab a churro and/ or catch a random concert. Honestly what doesn't go down here. They have a super good and diverse eating area. Yiu can find stuff hot only from different departments in Mexico but even some Peruvian cuisine. I go to pinky's eyebrows there for yearsssss. I also get some cute outfits on the second floor and don't fail to visit the Q or cozy fox. There's a lingerie store first floor that always comes in clutch for rave or festival attire 10/10.

Mario L.

Yelp
The market and plaza are nice to walk around in. The whole plaza needs a makeover. Parking is hard to find.

Jey R.

Yelp
Very bad place now I used to go on almost daily basis but lately customers been scared away by this towing company that been towing cars away for no reason People just unloading they family members of picking them up parking on loading zone for a few mins And towing truck taking the cars like if they were just stalking the people !! Then the office management not knowing supposedly anything!! To this no numbers to contact the number office or management!! This needs too stop

Genesis C.

Yelp
Alex and Emily had great customer service and the food was bomb . Mango juice fire also Recommend coming here

Judah O.

Yelp
Too the people that keep saying that the security guards are calling to tow your cars. That's a false statement. The security guards don't have anything to do with the cars being tow.

Yelp
Found only one stand inside their "indoor swap meet" that had the Mexican dishes ware I wanted. Sad and nothing open. Maybe cause I went on a week day. I dunno, just wasn't what I expected.
google avatar

Beatriz C.

Yelp
Don't get me wrong this place had tons and I mean tons of merchandise and food. But the merchandise was waaaaaaaaaay too expensive for the same product and same quality you can find It cheaper at a flea market or just going to the real deal Mexico. For example the funky pops cheapest I found was $35, while you can find those at the flea market or better yet a convention for $20. Or a nice set of 4 cups and a water pitcher with a hand painted floral design for a whopping of $87, while in Mexico they'd charge you for $40.
google avatar

Rachel H.

Yelp
I'm going to keep this short and sweet plaza is mellow there's an abundance of everything here clothing wise to makeup to food to other random things it's like a big swap meet mall with tons of local vendors that all have something you need! Overall I had fun here bought a few things and went exploring so don't pass the Plaza by as it really does have something for everyone!
google avatar

Carll F.

Yelp
Great shopping center, plenty of parking the main building is remodeled to look like an old Mexican city Church or ranch building on the inside is a large swap meet two floors in the back is a Spanish style market. This location has almost everything you need a laundry, furniture store, kicking crab, gym, cable, health care, food 4 less, Rite aid, check cashing many fast food and every other weekend this location has parties and festivals for the community. Even if you dont need to buy anything come to hang out walk around ride the merry-go-round
google avatar

Arie R.

Yelp
This place is so fun! It's all indoors which is awesome because then you don't have to worry about the weather. Lots of clothing stores, anime stores, food stores, and a ton of bakeries. It's overall really fun to just walk around and explore. There's also a pet store that sometimes has puppies... Except the puppies are kept in a fish tank so it's actually pretty sad. There is some outdoor shopping as well and restaurants right around the area. Overall a good time, highly recommend! Oh and parking is easy. Big big lot, I've been here 3 times so far without any trouble.

Yelp
It has been so long since last visiting Plaza Mexico I was a child when I last came here. I'm going to start with parking ! It's extremely time consuming to find parking but eventually you'll find it. It's still really beautiful but my experience wasn't what I expected , to start off it's better to pay in cash , they even ask if you have cash instead of card , so I went to look for a ATM which was inside the shopping area where they have food , snacks and even animals like pet birds and fish. Once I found it it was not working , so I just walked around the inner part of Plaza Mexico , a little warning it's extremely crowded and people do dump into you there. I walked around shopping stores and found a ATM in there , so I took some money out , me and my sister decided on going on the carousel (even though we are clearly over the age of 20) haha but still purchased tickets which are $4 a person and also only accepted cash. Upon waiting I tried handing my ticket to the woman who receives them and she was really rude , just her demeanor was off putting , either way me and my sister still got on and it was nice , didn't last too long but still a nice experience. I will say the carousel seems to be a little older and creeks a bit even when little kids walk on it. After that, we decided to head back inside for smoothies before going home, even though the line wasn't long at all it took so long to move up a person that we decided to just head home there were 4 people working but only one taking orders and making the orders. It's really nice when you lay eyes on the place with nice music and even people dancing outside but the wait times and cash only impacted my experience a bit. Will try coming back another time to see if it's better.

Yelp
Wow! I heard of this place once but I never had the chance to visit it. During the weekends, parking may be hard. Luckily, my friend and I were able to find parking once we got there. This place has some good spots to take pictures at. It will make you feel like you're at a different country. The prices are good too! So many cute stuff, that it becomes tempting to buy it all. They have some restaurants and vendors selling (candy, clothes, customized jewelry).
google avatar

Barbara V.

Yelp
It's was great lots of awesome vendors and it makes you feel like you are at the plazas in Mexico it's great
google avatar

Yelp
It's been a while since I felt like this about a store but this specific store still has that human touch by getting greeted by employees very helpful staff , but special mentions to the manager Marlene Padilla, xochitl Gonzalez and Angel reza thank you all you were very nice.
google avatar

Carrie C.

Yelp
A cute place to visit! Parking was a little hard to find, I came during the pandemic and many of the shops were moved outside. My friend took me and it reminded me of a Olvera Street mixed with a swap meet. We love the little pet shop and small food stands. My friend bought two adorable bunnies. I'd like to go back soon!
google avatar

Yelp
Came here to visit Center Jalisco, there was only two people there so the wait wasn't long. In and out in 10 minutes. Plenty of parking!

My kids enjoy getting on the carousel, Everytime I'm ordering food or just simply taking a walk , there is not one time they miss it. Great place to visit. Went in today to kicking crab with my daughters and they had a blast. While the food was being prepared :)

Yelp
I've been here about 3 times with this past Sunday being the first time we went early enough to take time to look around without being rushed. It's definitely nice plaza with stores both inside and outside as well as restaurants and dessert places to eat at. There are numerous stores that sell clothes, shoes, and knick knacks as well as vendors that sell various candies and treats. We saw shops that sold Japanese/Asian toys and bags as well as a store that sold pet supplies and pets. They also have a small indoor arcade and there are a lot of seating available around the various eateries. There is a big open space in the plaza that is sometimes used for performances and events that occur here and there. Parking can be tedious depending what time you come, but at least it's free!
google avatar

Laura G.

Yelp
I like coming to plaza Mexico for the variety of affordable and fashionable shoes ! They have a lot of cute stuff! I also like going to the fashion stores here. They have a few restaurants, which I haven't tried, but I feel like it is a cool spot to go with family !

Yelp
FASHION Q REVIEW IN THE PLAZA MEXICO LOCATION..... My sister-in-law and I wanted to purchase earrings in the store Fashion Q at the location of Plaza Mexico. When we entered the store we began looking for the earrings section we ended up finding it, it was at the register, so we began looking at the earrings and holding them up to one another's ear to see if they looked right on each other. We then notice a lady behind the register looking at us just watching us and it was the type of watching you do when you think someone's going to steal something so I ask her after seeing her watching us for a while I say "you know you don't have to watch us" and she says she's watching everyone when my sister-in-law and I definitely felt uncomfortable as if we couldn't shop freely and comfortably in this store. So we continue to look at the earrings and then I decide to go look at a vest displayed nearby, and then when I return to my sister-in-law the lady starts watching even more and I then respond saying "why are you watching us?" she then says "well yea I have to watch you because you can't take the earrings over there" pointing in the direction where I came from looking at the vest, (no signs posted saying this at all) but I didn't even have earrings with me at all when I went to look at the vest! At this point my sister-in-law was standing in line and we ended up leaving because of the way she treated us. This place is so despicable! I have never been racially profiled ever! I hated it I felt confined and restricted and powerless it's not right and so We ended up going to another store across the way and I was still so upset by the incident I began venting to the cashier in that store called something 'Love' I forgot the exact name I'm sorry, but anyway I began venting to the cashier because in this store we were able to look freely not being racially profiled at all and so while talking to the cashier she said that she used to work there (at Fashion Q) and that same lady would have them follow people around who she suspected would be stealing! I was so disgusted at this point I could not believe my ears! We then purchased the earrings from her store and I went back to Fashion Q to talk to that lady again to let her know how I felt and how poor her customer service was and to notify her of her horrible reputation. If I could give NO STARS as a rating I definitely would! She kept telling us to go and to leave the store. You don't know what someone's intentions are and to be wrongfully judged, racially profiled isn't right at all! This is a picture of the woman who did it to us! Thanks for reading.

Yelp
Plaza mexico was great, it made me feel like l was in mexico, it has a lot of latin products and also great food, l would definitely recommend this place it had a lot of stuff and a lot of things to watch.

Yelp
I would say this shopping center is the most dynamic and traditional shopping center in the California. Inside the market place there are so many variety of stores for shopping and food court and open concept produce stores has many delicious foods and desserts. Also plaza is so big, it is a nice excercise just to walk around the whole plaza checking out all the different stores and service they have. Highly recommend!!
google avatar

Alexander S.

Yelp
If you dont want to take a drive across the border, I suggest you take a drive to Plaza Mexico. This is an indoor swaptmee and that offers a little bit of Mexico. The plaza contains many different stores with variety of merchandise. Not only can you come and shop but you can stay to enjoy lunch, dinner or pastries. This place has changed from when I was a kid to now. With more store, restaurants and even shows on the weekends. I recommend this place to anyone and everyone who simply wants to be out with the family for a good time. I give this place 4 stars only because parking sucks on the weekends. I hope you all enjoy

Yelp
Everythin you need at d most affordable prices Gotta stay in the place whenever im in the area

Yesenia G.

Yelp
Plaza Mexico really does look like the mexican plazas. There are many shops and boutiques outside. Also they have a mercado inside, there you can find any type of traditional candy or goods from Mexico. They also have clothing, accessories and a variety of other merchandise it's kind of like an indoor swapmeet. There are many restaurants both inside and outside of the mercado. They have a carousel for the kids and sell traditional mexican toys. La huasteca is at this location, nice restaurant but it is pricey for the portions they sell. The Kicking crab is also at this location and you can never go wrong, the food is great and so is the service. Nice place, it's a good option there's many things to see or just have a nice evening walk. Parking is free, but it does get full when they have events... especially when they have concerts. You can keep tabs on the events if you follow Plaza Mexico on ig.

Rosalia B.

Yelp
I was recommended Shoes4less by a friend. They had a variety of shoes at a good price. Children and adults. We will be returning to make more purchases.

Lesly g.

Yelp
People that come here to complain in the comment's clearly aren't from the area or raised here. Plaza Mexico does tend to get packed at times and parking is a struggle. We all know that. Regardless the ambient here is family oriented. Its like a flea market and we all speak spanish here. Usually only black and brown people in this neighborhood. Its all love between us. Great place to walk around and check out what vendors offer. Been here many times as a child and as an adult. Families sit in the square on nice days and drink coffees and eat churros. Love to see it. Nice lil Mexican environment. Love it always.

Yelp
I've had the pleasure of visiting this Mexico inspired plaza for many, many years. The architecture and monuments located outside are simply breath taking. This little piece of the motherland is located in the city of Lynwood and its gained a lot of media popularity through out the years. It's frequented by both locals and tourist from all walks of life. The inside of the plaza is two story's full of little shops from clothes, shoes, jewelry, a nail shop, an upstairs food court, and a downstairs section dedicated to the sell of delicious Mexican snacks such as: raspados, tostilocos, and pan dulce. The outside of the plaza, my favorite section by the way, is where the most visited shops and eateries are located. I love shopping at G-Stage and Fashion Ave. There is also the delicious La Huasteca Restaurant. What is not to love about a restaurant with an awesome live Mariachi and mouth watering food? The plaza has recently welcomed The Kickin' Crab to their family which has become a big hot spot here. The environment is family friendly. You can bring your kids to ride the beautiful two story carousel for $3 per person per ride. There's frozen yogurt, ice cream shops, a Chuck E. Cheese, and the plaza tends to host a lot of radio and television events regularly. Please, stay away from the back of the plaza which is located alongside Long Beach Blvd. You'll be bombarded by panhandlers left and right with little to no security available. It's crowded but that does not guarantee safety. I recently had a bad experience regarding this issue. Finding parking during the week is not a problem especially if you visit during the morning hours. Parking on Saturdays and Sunday's can tend to be a bit hectic but you're almost always guaranteed to find a spot.

Antwyone L.

Yelp
Always been the shit i been goin here since the old days... Lil ghetto but its home if you from watts compton or lynnwood
google avatar

Cassandra Q.

Yelp
Sunday afternoons are always the best for Plaza Mexico! There's always something going on, it's either live music or older folks dancing, it's never not dull. The plaza it's self has a little mini historical Aztec statues which are amazing and there's little boutiques and restaurants one can enjoy. They have like a little Mercado inside like they have them in Mexico and I would definitely recommend trying out a liquidado from inside they are bomb. Plaza Mexico is a cute place to just walk around.
google avatar

Eddie A.

Yelp
Everything is great here from all the stores and offerings. I will however recommend not to come on a weekend, extremely crowded and hard to maneuver around. Also long lines everywhere you go to grab a bite or drink. Parking all around, makes easy to access. They do have parking located there, but if you don't mind walking less than 30 steps, there's a parking lot across the street from the chevron gas station, only $10 for all day parking.
google avatar

Larry F.

Yelp
I have never seen anything like Plaza Mexico market. It is acres of every type of vendor imaginable and it's all indoors. They sell fish, meat, fruit and vegetables, chile's, portrait studio, pastry, lingerie, shoes, iced cream, adult clothes, kids clothes, jewelry, cosmetics, car parts, shoe repair and jackets. I have never seen anything like this. The prices are very reasonable too. Some shops are only open on the weekend but most are open every day. Parking is very easy during the week, not the weekend. Today was our first time coming here and we plan to be regulars.
google avatar

Noemi A.

Yelp
Theres a whole lot to do and a lot of places to eat. Places to shop and shows to watch ( sometimes). Finding a good parking spot is a bit hard. I like the teriyaki spot on the 2nd floor outside. It's pretty good. The crazy roll is soooooo bomb!
google avatar

Zeyda H.

Yelp
I love plaza Mexico but in all honesty sometimes is just feels like an expensive swap meet. The parking lot is always over crowded especially when there are special events going on. If you can go and want to visit it is nice but if you can't you're not really missing too much. The events that are hosted there can be cool but make sure to get there walking because you won't find parking.
