Their service is top notch! Went here a couple of times and they saw me with baby in the car as I called in for to go order. Luis came out to drop off my order to me and came back out to do the credit card payment. It was 5 star curbside service without me having to ask. It was very nice of them and delightfully surprised. I came here for dining with my husband as well the first time around with a gift certificate from our new community welcome package so decided to give this place a try. Service was wonderful while dining. Big portions. I like their Spanish rice and fish tacos. They serve chips and salsa. Awesome that they have tacos Tuesdays from 3-5p. Menu on their website! Adequate parking.

We stumbled upon this restaurant because we were unfamiliar with the area and the reviews were good. The food was very good, portions are on the heavier side, they have a tequila flight- I was so temped to try it. They had inside and outside seating available. The service was ok and overall would come back - I recommend you try it out.

Authentic flavors, friendly and attentive staff combined with generous portions make this a great place dine. Worth the drive if you're not a local. Second visit was great with wonderful flavors and friendly service.

I had a 2 item combo, carnitas tacos...beans were delicious, carnitas was a little dry, but good. My daughter had a tostada with shrimp that she said was great...she gave it a 5. Service was good and the atmosphere was pleasant.

Went on Monday afternoon and it was pretty empty. Got seated right away and servers were quick to get our drink order in. For food we took a while to decice because they offer a variety of specialty plates. I got a carnitas torta, which was good. My husband got their bestseller aguachiles, he loved them because they were spicy. My mom got a shrimp cocktail which she also liked because they put more shrimp than most places do.

Service was fantastic and attentive. Plenty of parking. Casual dining. Spot on entrees. Their seafood entree lacked a bit of flavor that leaves one wanting more from. They offer chips and salsa in the beginning. I wish they have more of the verde salsa and pico de gallo though.

The food is so bland and not seasoned. Seriously we ordered a carne asada burrito combo with a Birria Taco. I have never had anything from a taqueria that had no seasoning at all - so so bland. My wife took a bite of the burrito and said - it looks like a burrito but it tastes like nothing. She was correct - just flavorless. Nothing has even a hint of spice. I tried the salsa hoping that might have some flavor it was like tomato water. Very disappointing !

I love this place! Pull up a seat at the bar, order a delicious margarita and enjoy! This is my go to spot in Petaluma, everyone is friendly and the food is great!

My wife's favorite enchiladas are from Plaza Tequila! I love their quesabirrias and their tacos, particularly the asada and lengua ones. They also make tasty margaritas and fresh agua frescas.

If you are looking for good tacos this is not the place go to el Roy's, the worst one is the Al pastor the meat was horrible, their sea food is decent staff very dismissive.

Drinks were alright, I am sure a happy Hour would probably be fun here however their food left room for improvement. My husband ordered a burrito with carne asada and carnitas...the meat was visibly burnt. They replaced the burrito. However, the server was not apologetic and had zero reaction. My combo plate of two tacos with rice ans beans was bland. 150 dollars later I was not satisfied with our experience.

First time here, been wanting to stop here very time I past by while in Petaluma. Service was exceptional! Manuel was great! Food was tasty and big tall glasses of beer, Mexican cokes, TV's too and I would like to sit at the bar next visit and watch a game

I'm a big fan of Plaza Tequila! I love the Pollo de Crema plate, the Chile Colorado is really savory too. Did you know they have a Mexican Pizza? You gotta try that as an appetizer or meal it's super tasty . Best of all the staff is really cool and helpful, Carmen a waitress, and Luis the General Manager make my experience here, tops.

great service. good prices. a bit noisy at times because the kitchen is open. we come here usually for happy hour which has specials and discounted drinks. i usually get several tacos or nachos or or. always flavorful. last night for dinner, o ordered a carnitas super burrito. well, it was large and enough carnitas but not a slice of onion, no sauce inside , the beans and rice beige in appearance and taste. a burrito for a senior assisted living dinner. it was served with a watery sauce spooned on top with a teaspoonful of guacamole and of sour cream, so tiny of portions to be unnoticeable. i took it home, javing only an inch of it. fried up some onions and peppers, through all in a bowl with shredded cheese and closest sauce i could grab. much better. super, even. not cafeteria fare. will order tacos or nachos or or, they need to step up their game on arroz con frijoles in flavor AND appearance.

Worst fajitas you will ever eat. Salsa is super thin. Beer is hot. Go somewhere else.

Been here three times now and every time been impressed with their customer service. Food is excellent and prices are reasonable. This place reminded me of a restaurant I went to in Los Cabos. Wide variety of Mexican food and drinks, I had the Molcajete it was so many flavor in one dish with corn tortillas, the shell tostada added unique look to the guacamole not to mention the flavor. Definitely do try the Molcajete and is enough to feed two people. The michelada was really good and refreshing. First time having this drink there. Rally good. For Desert I had the Flan, it was delicious not too sweet but just enough to satisfy my sweet tooth. The blue berries and strawberries gave a unique look and and twist to the traditional Flan. Do stop by this restaurant when in Petaluma. Five stars for this restaurant.

This place is a hidden gem. Although I did not try the food the drink were on point. I definitely will be back to try the food. Waitress was amazing super friendly. Came here after Yelp event for tortilla real (was very disappointed) and I must say the service we got here was 100 percent better made our trip to Petaluma worth it.

We rate this a GO based on one visit. Read on to see why only 3 stars. We stopped in as part of Yelp's Discover Petaluma event. We were not super hunger sh we just had the tacos. The resturant is unpretentious but clean and comfortable with a roofed in patio. The staff was wonderful. We had a grilled chicken and fish taco. Both were very good. And spicy, more than expected. The chicken actually tasted like grilled chicken (unlike many taco places), and there was plenty of it. Plenty of parking. Why 3 stars? Plastic straws. Every little bit helps and every little bit hurts. It's 2022. Time to move on!

I recently stopped by to pick up a plain bean burrito. it was just okay. $13.00 I gave her $15 and she took it all without asking me if I wanted my change! I guess she thought she deserved a tip! Never returning.

The first time I had the privilege of eating at this place, but got there on international taco day, the tacos were very bland at best, and the chips were rubbery and non Edible. Ended up going to get better tacos at Jack In The Box to fulfill our 1st international taco day experience together

I stop here on my long commute home for happy hour 3-5pm and get 2 fresh hh margs and 2 delicious street tacos for a good deal. Food is fresh, delicious, and a smiling server too. Very pleasant place to take a break from traffic. Traditional Mexican music piped in at perfect volume. Ambience is an A!

First time experiencing Plaza Tequila Taqueria was a hit. Staff is very welcoming and friendly. I ordered the asada super burrito and my friend had the pastor super burrito. Both were very good, generous portions and overall it was a good experience. The restaurant was clean with a comfortable atmosphere, I'm excited to try more of the menu

I placed my order on DoorDash for a chile verde burrito and unfortunately got the wrong food. When I called DoorDash they said that's the restaurant's problem. So I immediately called the restaurant and explained my situation and they went above and beyond...the manager delivered me the burrito in less than 30 minutes! And the burrito was DELICIOUS! Great customer service and yummy food...makes a happy, repeat customer!

We stopped here for a quick lunch while on a trip going north on the 101. The food and service was EXCELLENT! I had 3 tacos a La Carte, a carne asada, a fish, and a shrimp. The asada was o good, flavorful with a smoky crisp to it. The fish was grilled and very good. The shrimp was not the best I've had but was good also. The star of the lunch was the Chile verde burrito that my husband ordered. It was SO GOOD! The green sauce was incredibly flavorful. The meat was so tender that it melts in your mouth. The portions for all of the food were very well-portioned, lots of food. Emmanuel was our server and he was attentive and kind and efficient. We will be back next time we're in Petaluma!

This was a good place to grab a healthy lunch. I was able to order a grilled fish plate and it tasted good. We had a super friendly server and we got a free flan to go (when you show that you checked-in on Yelp) to enjoy for dessert later. I am happy to find places to eat out at that can provide healthy versions of their dishes!

One of the most wonderful things on this planet is Mole Poblano. A sauce that takes a craft deal of time and effort to make and it's famous for having cocoa as one of its ingredients. In the East Bay there are a couple places to find it but I had yet to find a place to get my mole fix in the North Bay. So i opened my Yelp app and searched for Mole. Now there are several types of mole in the world but I was looking for the king of all moles, Mole Poblano. While the menus mention mole many times I have arrived only to find out it's a red mole, which is still good bit a completely different thing from what I was looking for. So I looked at pictures of the food and saw that this place does in fact serve mole Poblano. I got the shredded chicken mole burrito and it was great. However this mole is the sweetest mole I have ever tasted. If you don't like your mole sweet you'll hate this. I always made mine on the sweet side but this was sweeter than I would have made it for myself. Nevertheless, of you've never tried mole before I strongly recommend your come here and try it.

I had the best chili Verde plate delivered! Fresh and hot all special requests honored. I have enough food for 2 full meals and enough to make some nachos! Petaluma food taxi is the best!

We ordered the mole burrito, shredded chicken and whole beans, and the chicken mole plate. Both meals were excellent. The blood orange margarita was also good. All in all a great restaurant experience. The only reason I'm not giving this place a 5 star is because of the chips and salsa, they are not made in house, tasted more store bought, and the salsa was so hot I couldn't eat it.

I go to Petaluma once a week and have lunch with some friends. They pick the restaurant and I let them know what I want. They go pick it up and we eat at their house. I have finally found the perfect cheese enchilada with red sauce. The refried beans and the rice were also very good. I didn't care for the chips, they could do better. The salsa was ok, I've had worse.

Went there for lunch yesterday. We were the only ones in the restaurant when we arrived not a good sign when it was lunch time. After a few minutes a few other came in. Got descent reviews so thought we would try it but now I know why it was empty. Only 2 of us. Ordered the mole steak burrito and the chicken burrito. The waitress brought out chips and salsa with warm bean dip right away. Chips and salsa were good but the waitress acted like she didn't care about anything. The mole burrito was very large. The mole was very sweet and was mostly filled with rice and beans and the steak was not fresh. Tastes like it was cooked the other day because it was tough. The chicken burrito was made with shredded chicken and was made well. Lots of seating since no one seems to go there and plenty of parking. The small Mexican restaurant across the street that has no parking lot seems much busier because they were using this restaurant parking lot to park and then walk across the street to pick up their food. This place has a good location, good parking, and a wide menu selection, if they made a little more effort with the food and service I think they would do much better.

Very tasty ceviche....refreshing salad with combo plate! Carnitas crispy! Regular burrito was huge! You must ask for habenero chilli its soooo good! Sooo spicy! Be careful! And we had entertainment there were guys drinking at the bar singing! It was very entertaining!

Two experiences with this place. One time I went with my family and it was with the taco Tuesday specials. Ordered tacos and the employee said that the special is only when you buy drinks. The drinks were more than the tacos. The second experience was when I went for lunch. Wrote on the tab that I had left a cash tip on the receipt and that is why I had put $0. The employee ended up putting a tip of $4. Haven't gone since.

A bit worn- very old school Mexican diner. Tacos were fresh and tasty, dark beer cold served with lime. We ordered the combination plate which comes with tasty Mexican cole slaw and hot beans and rice - we had the Chile Relenos- good melted cheese filling with nice fresh peppers, but outside coating not quite right, and served not quite hot. Still need to try happy hour and other items from the very large menu selection.

Service was excellent! I love when the chips are warm. I had a nice lunch of a birria taco( comes w/ cheese...yum!) And I had a chicken enchilada. It was good. There can was a small portion of a SUPER hot and tasty salsa on my plate. It really woke me up! Nice garnish of radish and pickled red onion. And I got a delicious flan with berries when I checked in on Yelp. I w/ be back!

[4.6/5] In town for a night and found this place and looked like some legitimate Mexican food unlike a lot of the spot that are in SF. We were welcomed to some chips which arrived warm (which was a huuuuge plus) as well as really good salsa. The salsa was actually flavorful as well as keeping that kick. Was not super spicy but had the perfect balance. Any person that thinks it's too spicy definitely cannot handle any sort of spice fyi. But I ordered the regular burrito and a quesabirra taco. My GF ordered a chorizo, carne asada, and lengua tacos. I tried all the meats my self and wow the asada was exactly how it should be. Actually tasted a bit smoky and has an actual beef texture while still being tender. Chorizo was also perfectly cooked and had a great taste, Perfectly seasoned. This was my first time trying Lengua as I never could get my head around it but, I tried it and wow tender and tasted great. As for my burrito, I wasn't expecting it to come the way it did with salsa on top. In all honestly I find it harder to eat this way but still just went at it. The carnitas were only okay, and definitely not their specialty it seemed but still better than most. The quesobirra was CRAZY. So damn good with the consome. Perfectly crispy and the birra was tender and full of taste. I would absolutely come back and try out the rest of the menu. It seems like this spot is super well known in the area as it should.

On a recent trip to Petaluma, my family was craving Mexican food so we decided to give Plaza Tequila a try. Needless to say, we were all impressed with the food, service, and overall vibe of this Taqueria. The prices were very fair and the portions were more than generous. I had Chile Verde burrito and my partner had an el pastor salad. Both dishes were superb and actually memorable. The Chile Verde was superb with Pork that melted in your mouth. The Pastor was some of the best either of us have ever had. I also want to give a shout-out to the staff. They were warm, welcoming, and very attentive to our needs. It's rare that we find restaurants like this and we hope they have many more years of success. We will definitely be stopping by again when we venture next to Petaluma.

First time at Plaza Tequila Taqueria in Petaluma. We ate on the patio b which is partially screened in. It was cool and inviting on an August afternoon. My friend had the grilled chicken taco which he said was tasty with plenty of chicken. I had the fish taco which had plenty of tender white fish and just spicy enough. Tortilla Chips brought to the table were actually warm. Service was fast, pleasant, and efficient. Good for families, friends, or even a date. A nice find.

Every time we come here food and service are amazing ! Nice atmosphere, great outdoor covered patio with fans. Food is reasonably priced and always consistent !
