Pleta de Mar, Luxury Hotel by Nature

The name of this hotel really sums up the place--a perfect blend of luxury and nature. The setting, the architecture and the food were all incredible, making this was one of our best hotel experiences ever, and we have done quite of bit of travel. |We choose a premium suite and were glad we splurged as we had an incredible view of lapping waves through a grove of olive trees. The vistas from the restaurant and the pools were gorgeous as well. Everything is left a bit natural as opposed to the also lovely sister hotel next door with loads of perfectly cut grass. We enjoyed swimming there as well and looking at an even more expansive bluff view of the ocean. So many pools to choose from, all heated and filled with salt water!|The food was outstanding, both the a la carte dinners and the lavish, high end breakfast buffet which you could supplement with cooked menu items. The staff were all helpful an friendly.|The gym was a bit silly-- sort of a sad assembly of weights and a few machines outside, with quite a few bugs. But honestly it did not detract from a perfect stay.

We stayed here for the start of our honeymoon and it was fantastic. We have never been to such a picturesque hotel before. Everything was more beautiful than we had imagined, or seen in pictures. Everyone there was welcoming and very helpful. We purchased the half board which we could have done without but it was nice not to worry about the price of the entrees we ordered each night.

An adult’s only resort with great Villas in an amazing environment surrounded by gardens very well cared for. I fall in love with the lavandas. Amazing breakfast offer with everything we can need or desire in a very cared presentation. Even the Matcha was special and so well prepared! 2 pools in the right setting. Only the beach was too rocky but if not it would have been paradise. A place to rest with company. Very nice and helpful staff.

It’s all been said. This place is BRILLIANT. Possibly one of the best places we have ever stayed. All the accommodation looks good though you may not want to be too near the main pool or at the top of the resort. |The breakfast is amazing, the dinner very good. Also worthy of mention is the sea pool. They could do more with the lovely little beach though it is off the property. You have the option of using the facilities and the excellent restaurant of the sister hotel Can Simoneta, 100 metres away. |But the last word must go to the service - at both resorts. Always helpful, always smiling. Thank you. We will return.

Unfortunately, our experience was *extremely* disappointing. We booked this hotel for a 4-night honeymoon stay, hoping for something memorable, but left feeling let down. Although the staff were informed it was our honeymoon, no effort was made to acknowledge the occasion, and their behavior came across as indifferent and unwelcoming. While the property is beautiful and the breakfast was excellent, the poor service overshadowed these positives. I would never return, they are several other hotels that offer superior hospitality and better-trained staff.

Could not recommend this hotel more (I almost don't want to because I want to keep it a secret for myself!!). Everything was absolutely perfect from the moment we arrived, to even the odd requests such as "does the kitchen happen to have some bread" (at 10 pm at night before a big bike ride the next morning). The rooms are beautiful. We didn't have an ocean view but didn't feel like we missed out because as you walk around the property, you can see the ocean from most places. We truly valued the privacy and quiet relaxation the hotel provided. The three infinity pools were absolutely wonderful. As far as food is concerned, make sure you take advantage of the half board. The breakfast is amazing. In fact, we'd cycle in the very early hours of the morning just so we could get back in time for breakfast! If you want to eat off property, a car is definitely a must. It's a bit harder as there are only a few places truly close by. Our last evening, we walked over to Can Simoneta and had an absolutely wonderful meal. So glad we could share their facility! The restaurant onsite at Pleta de Mar is a bit pricey for dinner and for me, did not have as many options as I'd like. I think there was one or two things on the menu that I wanted and once I had the steak, I didn't feel like I needed to go back for another dinner. They do serve an interesting and delicious selection of food at the bar right next door so that was great. In any case, I wouldn't hesitate to stay again. It was just wonderful!

Perfect... It was just so very perfect from beginning to end. The combo of having two hotels with spectacular pools and views and food was just....well .... perfect. I've spent so much time at so many high end hotels that always have some fatal flaw. This had none. Book it!
