Hotel Pleta de Mar, near Capdepera, Eastern Mallorca - Explore & Book

"Nature and architecture are in sweet harmony at Pleta de Mar, a beautiful adults-only hotel designed by famed local architect Antoni Esteva. Olive and pine trees surround its 30 luxurious suites; infinity pools and canopied chill-out zones are fringed by fragrant wildflower gardens. Located near the seaside village Canyamel on Mallorca's mellow northeast coast, the focus here is on privacy and peace in exclusive surroundings (the hotel has access to a small, rocky private beach). We especially like the idea of rain showers outside every room. Design fans will love the innovative sliding glass walls in the Foc restaurant, while foodies will be thrilled by the sublime Mediterranean cuisine. Although there are plenty of golf courses and beaches within a short drive, Pleta de Mar is really a place to stay put. You'll find plenty of hidden corners to read and relax – but not so tucked-away that one of the cordial staff can’t bring you a cold G&T. Both honeymooners and couples will appreciate the child-free tranquility. We couldn't get enough of the calm, classy vibe that has cemented Pleta de Mar as a star of the Mallorquin hotel scene. Highs All you need for a romantic, relaxing holiday; you could happily hole up here for a week 2 gorgeous infinity pools - one facing the ocean, the other set in wildflower gardens - plus a heated plunge pool by the spa The spacious suites have soothing interiors filled with muted creams and exposed beams The excellent Foc restaurant has an impressive Mediterranean menu, as does sister property Can Simoneta's restaurant - located 200 metres away! The extensive gardens surrounding the hotel are truly gorgeous, further adding to the sense of privacy Lows The hotel's private beach (Albardans) is more of a rocky outcrop, not always suitable for swimming; but you can walk through their sister hotel to a sandy beach It's very quiet – you’ll have to travel for lively nightlife Drinks and other extras are pricey" - Sophie Potter

Pleta de Mar luxury hotel by nature (Mallorca, Balearic Islands) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"On the island of Mallorca, Pleta de Mar, Luxury Hotel by Nature is about as far away as you can get from the capital city of Palma. And pretty much everything else — this boutique hotel is surrounded by nothing but green fields and the sea. The owners have thought of everything, from freshly squeezed juices served beside a trio of saltwater pools to local wines served beneath the shade of olive trees. A Mediterranean-inspired spa and a traditional Mallorcan eatery, with some dishes prepared over an open fire, round out Pleta de Mar’s refined offerings." - Tablet Hotels

An adult’s only resort with great Villas in an amazing environment surrounded by gardens very well cared for. I fall in love with the lavandas. Amazing breakfast offer with everything we can need or desire in a very cared presentation. Even the Matcha was special and so well prepared! 2 pools in the right setting. Only the beach was too rocky but if not it would have been paradise. A place to rest with company. Very nice and helpful staff.

It’s all been said. This place is BRILLIANT. Possibly one of the best places we have ever stayed. All the accommodation looks good though you may not want to be too near the main pool or at the top of the resort. |The breakfast is amazing, the dinner very good. Also worthy of mention is the sea pool. They could do more with the lovely little beach though it is off the property. You have the option of using the facilities and the excellent restaurant of the sister hotel Can Simoneta, 100 metres away. |But the last word must go to the service - at both resorts. Always helpful, always smiling. Thank you. We will return.

Unfortunately, our experience was *extremely* disappointing. We booked this hotel for a 4-night honeymoon stay, hoping for something memorable, but left feeling let down. Although the staff were informed it was our honeymoon, no effort was made to acknowledge the occasion, and their behavior came across as indifferent and unwelcoming. While the property is beautiful and the breakfast was excellent, the poor service overshadowed these positives. I would never return, they are several other hotels that offer superior hospitality and better-trained staff.

We recently stayed at this hotel in Mallorca and overall had a fantastic experience. The setting is absolutely beautiful—peaceful and relaxing, with plenty of loungers always available by the pool.||Our room was excellent: spacious, stylish, with a very comfortable bed and a large, well-functioning bathroom. Housekeeping did a great job of keeping everything spotless throughout our stay. One small improvement would be for turn-down service to replace used cups and glasses, as well as replenish tea bags, which wasn’t always done.||Service was generally good, although not always the most personable. A notable exception was Tony—“Bellboy Tony” as he calls himself—who was the friendliest and most welcoming member of the team. He really added a personal touch that stood out.||Room service was also prompt and tasty, and we appreciated the overall cleanliness and organization throughout the hotel. We would absolutely stay here again on a return trip to Mallorca.||That said, there were a few minor areas for improvement:||Vegetarian food options were quite limited.||One day, a parasol fell over and the pipe narrowly missed my head—some better wind-proofing would help avoid any accidents.||TV options were limited, with few English-language movie channels and no option to screen-cast or use Netflix.||The yoga mats in the gym were damp and dirty, possibly from being left exposed to rain—better storage and maintenance would go a long way.|WiFi was patchy at times and could definitely be stronger.||None of these issues impacted our enjoyment of the trip, but they are worth noting. Overall, a great hotel in a lovely location, and we’re already looking forward to coming back.

First the good: beautiful location, great food, amazing staff, lovely rooms, comfy beds, nice bathroom, wonderful outdoor shower.||Sadly, there are a few things that really let this place down so if you’re looking to stay, beware. ||If you book a room which is described as having a ‘sea view’, prepare for disappointment. Yes, we could vaguely make out the sea through all the trees, but it’s at best a misleading description (we were in C05 - other rooms may be better). ||We were told that access to the ‘beach’ was at the bottom of the hill, through a gate that leads out of the property and down a private path. Not the case at all. We tried to access what they call a beach, but the path is overgrown, clearly infrequently used (if ever) and this beach is a rocky cove with no facilities at all.||The very friendly staff member that showed us around on our arrival ferried us in an electric vehicle and showed us what he described as our ‘private’ dedicated sun bed. Once you get your bearings and realise exactly where this is located, you feel it must be a joke. It’s about as far from our room as it’s possible to go without leaving the property (and nowhere near any facilities). ||The property is spread out on the side of a steep hill so if you’re near the bottom, you’ve quite an uphill hike to the restaurant which in 31° plus temperatures can be challenging. Conversely, if you’re near the top, the hike down to the ‘infinity pool’ is a slog and when you get there, you’ll only find six beds which are invariably all full. ||Which brings me to my biggest gripe: At these prices, it’s not unreasonable to expect that there will at least be enough sun beds for all the guests. We Brits visit places like Mallorca for this very reason. On two afternoons, we ended up confined to the terrace outside our room (miles from the pool) as all the beds around both pools were occupied. Yes, there are very attractive seating areas, but not suitable if you want to sit in the sun a take a cooling dip.||It’s a shame that this review sounds so negative as we did enjoy our stay and the staff really are amazing. If they could fix the addressable problems, some of the other niggles would not seem as big a deal.

Could not recommend this hotel more (I almost don't want to because I want to keep it a secret for myself!!). Everything was absolutely perfect from the moment we arrived, to even the odd requests such as "does the kitchen happen to have some bread" (at 10 pm at night before a big bike ride the next morning). The rooms are beautiful. We didn't have an ocean view but didn't feel like we missed out because as you walk around the property, you can see the ocean from most places. We truly valued the privacy and quiet relaxation the hotel provided. The three infinity pools were absolutely wonderful. As far as food is concerned, make sure you take advantage of the half board. The breakfast is amazing. In fact, we'd cycle in the very early hours of the morning just so we could get back in time for breakfast! If you want to eat off property, a car is definitely a must. It's a bit harder as there are only a few places truly close by. Our last evening, we walked over to Can Simoneta and had an absolutely wonderful meal. So glad we could share their facility! The restaurant onsite at Pleta de Mar is a bit pricey for dinner and for me, did not have as many options as I'd like. I think there was one or two things on the menu that I wanted and once I had the steak, I didn't feel like I needed to go back for another dinner. They do serve an interesting and delicious selection of food at the bar right next door so that was great. In any case, I wouldn't hesitate to stay again. It was just wonderful!

Perfect... It was just so very perfect from beginning to end. The combo of having two hotels with spectacular pools and views and food was just....well .... perfect. I've spent so much time at so many high end hotels that always have some fatal flaw. This had none. Book it!

A Hidden Gem of Tranquility in Canyamel Tucked away on the quiet northeast coast of Mallorca, this luxurious retreat redefines the meaning of exclusivity and elegance. From the moment you arrive, the world slows down, and you step into pure serenity. Modern yet timeless, and surrounded by stunning nature, the property offers spacious suites with private terraces that feel like your own secluded sanctuary. Privacy is clearly a priority here—staff are attentive yet discreet, and every detail is handled with care. The in-house restaurant is absolutely incredible—every dish is a celebration of local produce and crafted with pure artistry. This is the perfect place for anyone who values beauty, calm, and top-tier service without the crowds--a true personal hideaway.
