My first time here I didn't realize it's located inside the whole foods grocery store but they're fish fillet sandwiches are so good that I devoured it before capturing a picture of it. I was pleased when the manager to me they have 2 other locations in Rockville and Columbia when I was telling him that I'm fairly new to the area and am lookin for a good vegan restaurant. I was in the Silver Spring area today and googled this restaurant, which was worth the rush hour traffic that I drove to get there. Although the customer service was not great in the beginning, they made up for it with the 2 sandwiches that I bought, one the fish fillet and the other mushroom steakhouse burger. The appearance of the steak burger looked the same as another customer posted, which was very greasy but heavily stuffed with onions and mushrooms. I would definitely recommend this place and eat here again. PLT Burger makes some "smack yo mama" good burgers.

Quick walk on my lunch break, my order was ready when I got there!!! Got the steakhouse burger, flavors are bomb as whaaat 🙌🏾💞 Everything tasted amaaaziiiiing!! 10/10

My new favorite fast food place! This is a non-meat eaters paradise. I'll never miss meat with how realistic and flavorful the spicy chicken sandwich was. The fries were crisp and juicy. I also liked the chicken nuggets but were a little overpriced. Tried the bacon burger after hearing people liked it but I thought it was a sloppy mess. Still, Can't wait to come back again to try more!

I am not a huge fan of vegan food but I am trying to eat more vegan in 2024. I wish I knew about PLNT Burger sooner. I tried their Spicy Grilled Chik’n Cutlet Sandwich and it was delicious. I don’t feel like it was spicy but I also have a higher tolerance for spicy foods. I’ve been thinking about it since I tried it. You really cannot tell it’s not chicken, and I like that. The flavor on it is also really good with the garden herb mayo. The cutlet is MushroomRoot. I also tried their pumpkin spice shake and I love that it is made with oat milk. If you like pumpkin, I think you’ll really enjoy it. I like that they’re located in a lot of Whole Foods locations in the DMV but wish there were more stand alone locations because I don’t live near a Whole Foods. I will definitely come back though.

The burger was a mess and the quality was ok. It fell apart when I picked it up. I’m sure there are better pant based restaurants.

Me being a long time Vegan I enjoyed my experience at Plnt Burger. Great service and food. I encourage everyone who haven’t tried them, give them a chance

Google
I ❤️ PLNT Burger! My go-to is a PLNT Cheeseburger w/ sweet potato fries. One of the best burgers I ever had was this one with bacon, cheese, onions, and spicy sauce. Yum!

At the whole foods in silver spring. Delicious crab cake sandwich with excellent texture. Not overly salty which is often an issue with takeout fast food. My order was ready when I arrived.

Yelp
great service. after ordering my meal I decided to eat outside and Mother Nature blew away my sweet potato fries - but the current staff at the silver spring md location were very understanding and competent with replacing my lost fries thank u

Yelp
The burgers are so yummy. I always get extra sauce it's the best. Customer service is always A+. He always makes my food with a smile. Thank you. I will be back.

Yelp
the food at Plant Burger is delicious! always a hit and never a miss! Im vegetarian and eat plant based dos and it can be a challenge finding convenient plant based food. While there are options at other places I need more choices than fries and a salad. Plant burger offers interesting alternatives. Plant based fast food. It's such a treat

Laura Chase D.

Yelp
My family loves Plnt Burger! I knew I'd found a winner when my husband declared that he'd rather eat Plnt Burger than Five Guys! You converted a farm boy raised on wild game, fresh meat, and more meat. Way to go! Today we both got the limited time Big Plnt and we really really really hope it stays on the menu! We like the Silver Spring location because of the free parking. I spoke with the manager (so kind, friendly, and knowledgeable) while placing my order today and he showed me the QR code on the counter to sign up for a rewards account. I got a free burger just for signing up! He told me they have lots of rewards incentives and I think that's great, especially with the current state of food cost. He also mentioned that they have meals for kids! I didn't see that pictured on the menu so I would encourage PLNT Burger to hang up visuals of the kids offerings. (I bet I can help them find a great photographer! )

Derrick P.

Yelp
I don't like the herbs on the fries. I get the spice instead. I also like the fish sandwich the most.

Yelp
Well, I finally tried PLNT Burger. Won't do that again. Honestly, it's not that it was bad...it just wasn't great. And there are so many good places to go in DTSS, why go to one that isn't? This is a kiosk inside Whole Foods, and on my way to Cava, I detoured and ended up here. The cashier was helpful and my order came out quickly, which was nice. The mandarin cardamom drink was like a tasty, hopefully semi-healthy Tang (anybody remember Tang?!?!). So the burger was kind of...meh. It lacked spice, flavor, and flair. It was just a sort of mushy patty of unidentifiable plant-based material. The bun was tasty, and the sauce was quite yummy, and the lettuce and tomato were very fresh (I mean, it is situated inside a grocery store - one would hope!) The sweet potato fries were the clear winner here. Crispy, crunchy, cooked perfectly. Weird green sauce I still can't identify! Also, pretty freakin expensive. So even though the fries were great, I'll probably stick to my regular options in DTSS from now on.

Esha P.

Yelp
I got the Spicy Chikn burger and fries. The service was quick and the cashier was very friendly. Regarding the food: the Spicy Chikn burger I got no pickles and substituted the garden herb Mayo for chipotle Mayo at no extra cost. I got the fries with spicy dust (really the best seasoned fries I've ever had this way). The only down side and the reason I'd give it 4 stars over 5 was because of the size of the burger. Feels smaller than previously and for what it cost (10.99) definitely may think twice before coming back

Krishna P.

Yelp
This is my first time trying PLNT burger and it is surprisingly very good. The place is tucked INSIDE Wholefoods. So note that. I got a meal with The cheese burger. That includes a small fries and a small drink. I chose Strawberry rhubarb. The burger is tasty, crispy and felt light. It came with 2 sauces: the green sauces is creamier and the red sauce is sweeter. I liked the red. The drink didn't have a lot of sugar (good thing) and tasted more naturally sweet. A huge plus on that. I also liked they didn't add ice. The staff was quick, service was courteous. Cost: 11.75 for my meal. Not too bad. However, The place is noisy, not much room to sit and eat. So I ll have to reduce a star for that. I'll definitely recommend it to vegetarians. And doesn't hurt for an occasional deviance for a regular.

Yelp
My fiancé and I first tried them on August 8, 2019 for a pre-release at my synagogue Ohev Sholom, whose Rabbi Herzfeld certified this now popular and growing vegan burger joint as Kosher. We were very impressed and have had it there and from their original Silver Spring location several times. We were glad that a neighborhood with a ton of restaurants now has its fully vegetarian, vegan, and kosher option. With their own in-app coupons and Groupon deals, you can always save money. They are always slowly expanding the menu and the latest additions are the Baja Burger and the Egg Sammy. The meat is Beyond and dairy and egg products all taste real or even better than that. Their Chili Bowl is also great and it seems that the recipe comes from or is at least inspired by Virginia Ali, the vegetarian co-founder of Ben's Chili Bowl who is a friend of our belated best man. Our favorite side dish are the Bloomies. In just under two years they have expanded to 6 location across the DMV and another 2 in the Philly area. Last time we went the staff says they are going to soon cover the East Coast seaboard from Boston to Miami. If you are a herbivore or omnivore you will love this. And if a carnivore, I dare you to try it as well.

Yelp
I wanted a veggie burger so bad and quick search led me to PLNT Burger. I'm glad I read that it was inside of Whole Foods if not we would have been circling around for a while. The reviews were really good and so many folks recommended the new patty melt so I went with that, fries and a cookies & cream milkshake. The staff were incredibly nice which is why I'm giving 3 stars. The food was NOT good. My patty fell apart which made it a mushy mess and was so difficult to eat. I'm so shocked that so many people were raving about it in their reviews but again, I've visited places that have perfected veggie burgers. Also, to note, the meat is Beyond meat and I strongly prefer impossible burgers.

Kyle S.

Yelp
If you're vegan, this is the spot for you! Located inside of whole foods, you can get some pretty good burgers and fries -- all vegan! It's always nice to go to a place that caters to everyone in your party and not feel like people are compromising. I'm not vegan, so I'm subtracting a star as the food did not agree with my meat-eating stomach the next day :( but it was good!

Libby F.

Yelp
I'm going to be one of those people that says, "I can't believe I've never been here before until now!" I live 1.5 miles away in Silver Spring and as a pescatarian, I don't know why I've waited so long to check this place out. Maybe it's the horrifically, always crowded parking lot out back? Well, with COVID still rearing its ugly head, parking seems to be a bit easier now. I had no wait to order, and because I checked out Yelp reviews ahead of time, I knew what I wanted to order. I started with the much praised Mushroom BBQ Bacon Burger. It was really good, the hype was real. Mushroom "bacon"? yes, please. Now, I'm not a red meat eater so I can't make claims as to how it taste compared to cow meat. It was really tasty. The crispy herb fries were just that, even upon my return home. A nice change from thin, regular fries. I also ordered the Spicy Chik N' Funguy because, well... more mushrooms. A quote from the source: Crispy fried oyster mushroom stems, house made hot sauce, pepperjack cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle, garden herb mayo! Sound delicious?! Almost. A bit too spicy for me. Joy B. would not approve. I will stick with the burger next time. I also purchased a Whisked! chocolate chip cookie for my teatime later. It's 100% vegan and Kosher certified. It was just okay. For the $2.50 price tag I'd rather get a chocolate chip cookie from Chik-fil-A, or an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie from Potbelly's. Both are delicious! However, theirs is a good option for vegans.

Stuart F.

Yelp
I got the burger and crispy chicken sandwich at same time and both were delicious. They tasted great even after being transported via UberEats. I'll be back to try more of the menu. Reminds me a bit of HipCityVeg, a place I also like. But the real reason I am writing this review is the cookie. I was expecting a normal cookie. What I loved about the PLNT Burger cookie was it basically tasted like cookie dough. For me, that was a pleasant surprise, and I'll definitely be ordering the chocolate chip cookie again.

Hat C.

Yelp
Great food, friendly service, and reasonable prices. Really hope this place stays affordable. All the new items they've been adding are great. I also love the shakes.

nikole s.

Yelp
Food is okay. Service another story. I don't think this location keeps track of your reward points when you give them your phone number

Kelly P.

Yelp
If you want vegan junk food, THIS IS THE PLACE. I have been vegan for 8 years and PLNT burger has the best burger I've ever had in that time. Greasy, fatty, salty, perfect texture ... it's just like old times. I also HIGHLY Recommend the oat milk shakes ... so delicious. Oh and definitely try the sausage egg biscuit -- it's so rare to find vegan breakfast this good!!! I'd skip their chili or chili fries/dog... something about it just tastes off to me. I'm also not crazy about the lemonades. It's kind of expensive for what you get, but it is always a delicious meal. My meat-eating friends can't tell the difference!

Ana P.

Yelp
My husband and I have been wanting to try PLNT Burger for ages and were happy we went. My husband got recommendations from the kind staff member working and we ended up ordering the PLNT Mushroom Bacon Burger meal and at $11.99, it's pricy, but satisfying! I also got the Mandarin Turmeric Cardamom drink and the mandarin was the flavor I actually tasted (thank goodness it was not the turmeric!). I also shared an order of the Bloomies with my husband and that was delicious! Each onion "petal" was delicately coated and spiced perfectly.

Jethro B.

Yelp
This was near my hotel, so I decided to give it a try. I enjoyed the vegan chocolate shake, and the fries. However, the vegan cheeseburger compared unfavorably with an Impossible burger in both taste and texture (it fell apart). Nice staff.

Aarti B.

Yelp
Great vegan concept and well executed! PLNT is tucked inside of Whole Foods and can be hard a bit hard to find near the bakery section. Worth the maze! The crispy Fun-guy Chik'n Sandwich is delicious! Glad I spotted an appetizing photo of the Chik'n sandwich and went for it! The sandwich was bursting with flavor from the crispy oyster mushrooms resembling chicken tenders and fixings of pickles, herbed mayo, and green leaf lettuce. The simple sandwich was quite tasty! The crispy herbed potato wedge fries were tasty and nice complement to the sandwich with a smoky aioli sauce. The Strawberry Rhubarb juice with apple cider vinegar is refreshing and not too sweet! Note there's a Plenty meal combo deal with some of the Plant burgers, not with the Fun-guy Chik'n Sandwich - $12.50 for a sandwich, large drink, and fries. After I ordered, I saw it! Excited to come back for another round of the crispy Fun-guy Chik'n Sandwich, herbed fries, and refreshing juice!

John A.

Yelp
Ordered through DoorDash and received food that was missing the buns. Literally so shocked and disappointed. Smh. Wtf.

Celena S.

Yelp
Not vegan in the slightest but wanted to try this place for another food option. It's pretty good. The sweet potato fries are the real star, as others have commented. Expected more crispness from the potato strings on the steakhouse burger. They probably do the regular style burgers/cheeseburgers the best.

Cat C.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite restaurants! I live down the street, and my food is delivered hot and custom to my requests. The mushroom bacon burger is my favorite, but I love the nuggets as well. The crispy herb fries are always crispy, and the sweet potato fries are seasoned to perfection. I recommend ordering through their app for the convenience and the rewards! Bon appetite for vegan carnivores and everyone in-between!

Casey Lyn B.

Yelp
Still trying out Vegan food to broaden my horizons in the food world. I have tried weird-tasting Vegan food, and this place is not one of 'em. Fyi, this place is located in the Whole Foods in Silver Spring. We went during COVID times, had a long line, but we didn't wait that long. We ordered the PLNT Burger and PLNT Cheeseburger with sweet potato fries. The burger was awesome. It seemed like a "regular/non-Vegan" burger! I would suggest to any of the Vegans out there, or for the people that have not tried Vegan before. Would I come here again? Yes, when the COVID has simmered down.

Hiral D.

Yelp
The burgers here are tasty, but it's the fries that would keep me coming back for more! The patties are all the same - beyond burger patties, but the ingredients differentiate the taste and flavor. It's hard to imagine it's the same patty because they do a good job customizing each option. The meal is very filling - we got two burgers and one order of sweet potato fries and we were struggling to finish our meal. The sauces are pretty awesome too, each is unique so why not try them all? If you add some additional ingredients like jalapenos, or avocado, it's $1-$2 extra so it can add up, but the cost is otherwise pretty good! Staff is also nice - they are enthusiastic and regularly give out samples whether it's at noon or nine pm!

Mark C.

Yelp
Accepts both cash and credit card. Located inside the Whole Foods grocery store. Located towards the coffee bar and sushi bar. Normally shop at Whole Foods to get my groceries. Decided to give PLNT burger a try. We decided to just try their plant based Cheeseburger. Comes with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and onions. The cheese was nice and melted on the patty. The burger tasted very fresh and felt like a less greasy version of the five guys burger. It's really good and all ingredients tasted good. In terms of pricing, it's a bit pricey. However, seems like it's a trend for most vegan food. They also have a variety of sauces for dipping as they serve herb fries and sweet potato fries. I tried the sweet potato fries and they tasted alright. Not sure if this is the responsibility of the PLNT burger or Whole Foods, but the tables next to the food shop was a bit dirty. Didn't seem that the tables were properly cleaned during the day. It was tough to find a spot to sit at especially during the weekday.

Yelp
So glad I finally tried plnt burger, it was delicious! I have been gradually transitioning to a vegan/vegetarian lifestyle and cutting out meat and diary. With plant-based options like PLNT burger becoming available, eating out has never been simpler. Delicious, juicy burgers, thick cut fries, and chilli (all made with beyond meat). Wow! I ordered a mushroom burger and a plnt cheeseburger with chilli and fries. We also got some ketchup and sauce on the side. I was shocked to see that the ketchup was not the usual packet, full of synthetic sugar. It was a non-GMO brand full of rich tomato taste. The burgers were hearty and full of vegetables (e.g., lettuce, tomato, pickles). Cheese was really yummy too. Not sure if the cheese is vegan. Either way, I liked it. Mushroom burger was full of that meaty mushroom taste. Really great with a smoky bbq flavor. Drinks were good too. Surprisingly, enjoyed the mandarin cardamom juice more than the strawberry rhubarb. Plnt burger is the future of veg* fast food for sure.

Renee R.

Yelp
Luv the food especially the fries. I was served at a Whole Foods store and I could shop while I waited for my order. The drinks are too small tho'. I always order take out when I'm in the store. The ladies at the counter are very friendly and helpful. Will order every time I go there Ambience is like shopping at a grocery store -- busy, busy busy.

Jane L.

Yelp
Finally made it up to PLNT Burger and it was just ok. I was excited to try their veggie burger and it was good but the eating area just makes everything unappealing. It's not clean, there are fruit flies (in winter), and it's poorly lit. The burger itself was tasty with a slightly mushy texture. I don't know, maybe it was hyped up too much in my Instagram feed. It's good for a veggie burger. There were also lots of homeless people which happens at most other Whole Foods locations in the area.

Lisa L.

Yelp
This was my first visit to this location. The employee who took my order was polite and pleasant. I ordered the Crispy Chic N' Funguy sandwich which is on sale for the entire month of April for $3.95 ($7.50 regular price). It includes lettuce and pickles. I thought this would be similar to a chicken sandwich with the use of fried mushrooms. Unfortunately, the large mushrooms were really tough to chew and had to be cut into smaller pieces. I would not recommend this sandwich unless you have a strong jaw. Stick to the burgers instead - those are chewable and enjoyable!

Luther Y.

Yelp
This is by far the best unhealthy healthy food I've had in a long time!!! The burgers are the best non-meat I've eaten and if you attempt to compare them to Beyond or Impossible burgers, it's comparable to eating a McDonald's burger to eating a Kobe cut of ribeye!

Rachel C.

Yelp
I have been pescatarian for almost five years now. It's been amazing. I really do miss a good burger though, this place satisfies that craving. So delicious! I haven't found a better burger yet.

Charles M.

Yelp
I am such a big fan of this place. I tell everyone I know about how great the food is and I order it whenever I go to Whole Foods which it happens to be inside of right now. I think this is a great location for Plnt burger and a smart move on behalf of chef spike and his investors and team who do a phenomenal job. I went to the yelp event and I have been patronizing throughout the covid-19 because they have a great buy one give one campaign to help essential personnel. The chicken sandwich is delicious and out of this world. I love the crispy fries and the fact that it's kinda healthy makes me feel guilt free. I'm not a vegan, but it makes me feel like a vegan once in a while. I love the food and I hear that they just opened one in the Whole Foods I'm Columbia Mall which is only about 15 minutes from me so I will have to try that one next!

Katherine L.

Yelp
Love that they now have an App - just downloaded it! Great for making ordering (during a pandemic) easier and bonus- getting rewarded!

Amy S.

Yelp
We tried PLNT Burger while we were at the Silver Spring Jazz Festival. I really enjoyed my spicy chik'n sandwich and sweet potato fries and my bf loved his chik'n nuggets. Quick service and convenient location. Thanks PLNT Burger for offering non-meat options in Silver Spring!

Alex G.

Yelp
So I do consume animal proudcts. But I think everyone should try the sides, the drinks, the sauces, and the mushroom sandwich here. The sweet pototo fries are the best I ever had as they are lite and go great with the maple mustard. The regular fries are also good and the side salad is tasty. The sauces are so good, I wish they sold them seperately. The drinks can be on the sweet side, but I recommend using them for cocktail mixers(pro-tip!). Lastly the Chik sandwhich, I may eat meat but I will keep coming back for this guy. What I love its made from a vegge I know, the flavoring is great and its better for you than Chic fila. You dont feel gross afterwards. The other sandwhiches were not as tasty and I questioned the ingredigents. Even if you eat meat, I recommend coming here. Sign up using their app and get free fries. And right now as of July 2020 they have a groupon! So get it while you can.

Yelp
Who knew meatless burger can taste so meaty? Downtown Silver Spring, Maryland, is now home to a brand new vegan burger place, PLNT Burger, located inside Whole Foods. At first, we didn't realize this is a vegan restaurant -- even though the name should've clued us in. We are cute this way. All the burgers looked and smelled so juicy! DBL PLNT Burger (5/5 NOMs) Just look at this beauty. If we didn't know any better, we'd think it was the real thing. It's got the real burger look, smell, and taste. So juicy, so meaty, so delicious. We are size queens in all things so we had to order the double burger. Just because we were eating meatless doesn't mean we didn't want a thick piece of meat in our mouth. Plus, the two patties were topped with Vegan American cheese by FOLLOW YOUR Heart, The cheese had a strong flavor and texture that tasted a bit like craft cheese. You can buy this cheese right at the Whole Foods Market the burger place is located in. The meaty goodness comes with some standard burger toppings like tomato, lettuce and pickles. There wasn't a moment that made us pause and say "Oh that tastes fake." Every bite brought us happy nomster joys and we couldn't wait to take another bite. Halfway through eating, we started to slow down, realizing this was one very filling burger that we might have trouble finishing. PLNT Mushroom Bacon BBQ Burger (5/5 NOMs) If double the meaty goodness is too much, then the PLNT Mushroom Bacon is for you. This burger has all the great things that come with a double burger. A single patty and cheese, minus the veggies. Who needs more veggies when we already eating our meat veggies? We don't really miss them since all the veggie toppings get overpowered by the Beyond Meat in the DBL Burger. It comes topped with deep-fried onion bloomies that make this one amazing burger. The BBQ sauce adds a nice light, sweet flavor that compliments the Beyond Meat patty. Price-wise, the burger is $8.25. which is a great price and the same as any other nearby burger joints. Tasty Sides (5/5 NOMs) It's not a burger joint without some fries! This burger joint offers excellent Herbed Fries and Sweet Potato Fries (Small $3, Large $4). You can also order bloomies, which is a deep-fried onion cut to resemble a flower. We ordered all three and regretted nothing about that decision. Since we were eating a plant-based burger, it's totally healthy. Right? There are a number of great dipping sauces available for you, ranging from savory to sweet. Chocolate Vegan Shake (5/5 NOMs) This milkshake brings all the vegan boys to the yard! This was our first time trying a chocolate milkshake with oat milk and it was amazing. We are definitely a fan. It barely tasted any different from a regular milkshake. Cost-wise, it's not much different from other burger joints with $6 for small and $7 for large. Again, we are size queen and always go for large. Chocolate Strawberry Swirl (5/5 NOMs) While not new to the menu, the vegan ice cream is a must-order nomnom. Last time we tried their amazing Chocolate Milk Shake, so this time we wanted to try the swirl. There a few flavors to pick from, but Strawberry Chocolate mix is our favorite. Of course, you just can't forget to add some rainbow sprinkles on top!

Yelp
Just tried PLNT Burger for the first time and I will say that it was an interesting experience for me. As the name suggests, it is all plant based everything on their menu is plant-based which I thought was fantastic. I was able to snag a deal on Groupon for $15 which allowed me to sample a few of the items on their menu. Plant burger is located inside of the whole foods on Wayne Avenue which is kind of a hassle if you guys ever been to that parking lot but worth it if you have a Groupon or if you're already going shopping at Whole Foods. I'm typically a five guys kind a girl but I decided to do something different And expand my horizons this time. I ordered the bacon mushroom plant burger which was a very heavily loaded burger with mushrooms carmelized onions and the works. Also ordered a side of the sweet potato fries and a salad. The mushroom burger was very flavorful messy like I like it but definitely tasted more like a bean burger than an actual beef Patty. I suppose for a plant-based burger it tasted OK but I have had veggie burgers in the past and I think that the texture of this burger was just a little too soft for me. I'm more of a hard tofu kind of girl. The sweet potato fries were immaculate though! Crispy, crunchy, and well seasoned. the salad was also well dressed, delicious and healthy although I added avocado to mine. It's definitely worth a try! I love the environmental impact that the company is trying to make and I have honestly been trying to make more conscious health decisions so although it does not taste exactly like a burger it's close enough especially considering the tremendous environmental and health benefits you get from going plant-based even if only once in a while. 4 stars for me

Yelp
Driving through Silver Spring, I had a craving for a burger and someone suggested stopping by PLNT Burger. First thing to know - PLNT Burger is inside the Silver Spring Whole Foods, so you gotta go inside to get the grub. It's a tiny little stand but they serve up some tasty meals. I got the PLNT burger with sweet potato fries and a berry patch beverage. Not bad at all. I will admit that I'm skeptical of imitation beef, but the PLNT burger with lettuce and tomato on a warm bun could go head to head with any other. The sweet potato fries were cut flat and thin so they were nice and crispy and sweet, maybe a bit over seasoned, but we still ate every single one. The berry patch drink was a less-sugary version of non-carbonated grape soda, a nice way to wash the burger down without going into a diabetic coma. I encourage everyone to try PLNT Burger - the food is tasty and vegan, which is a difficult combination to get.

Yelp
The "chicken" sandwich is really good! Haven't tried the others but they charge an extra $1 for a single slice of tomato, the sandwich is pretty bland so get some extra sauce

Yelp
My boyfriend and I have been moving towards a plant-based diet and we were excited to try this place after hearing about it at a Yelp event. We were more excited after hearing that the owner, Spike Mendelsohn, was on the 4th season of Top Chef and also owned another local, famous burger joint, Good Stuff Eatery. Since restaurants are still closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic quarantine, we called ahead to order. We ordered the PLNT Cheeseburger, the double PLNT burger, the strawberry shake, the sweet potato fries, the crispy herbed fries, and the plnt chopped salad. (No judgement please, we were HUNGRY). Everything was a hit... you really couldn't even tell it wasn't an actual meat based burgers. As others have said, the fries are BOMB. They are sooo crispy and still nice and potato-y. I wouldn't say the herbed fries were super herby, but we grabbed 4 different sauces (herb, thai chili, mustard-sauce, and bloomy sauce) which were all very flavorful. The strawberry shake was sooo good, I think I actually prefer this over a milk-based shake. The only issues I had were that the burgers were a little more on the well-done side. Comparing to the photos I've seen of the burgers, the burgers we got were a little more crisp and dry so I'd like to go back and try them again. The pickles and sauces on the burgers were so good and I couldn't even tell that the cheese wasn't real cheese. Overall, it's awesome to see a place like PLNT burger making food for people like me who enjoy a good hamburger, but don't want the animal product associated with one. I can't wait to come back and give the burgers another try when I don't have to get it as take out, and to also try the hot dogs!

Yelp
Dear PLNT Burger: please open a location in Northern Virginia!! In my last visit, I got a double patty cheeseburger and the mushroom bacon cheeseburger. Both were awesome, with high quality vegan ingredients like beyond burgers and Follow Your Heart cheese. My true favorite of this meal however was the fries. I got both the regular and sweet potato fries with all the different (plant based) sauces/condiments. They all tasted fantastic. My bill of two burgers and two fries came to around $27 (this was seriously a mukbang y'all). If these vegan businesses continue to grow steadily with the demand, they will be dominating the food scene in no time. I will definitely be back and will try the oat milk based soft serves next time!

Yelp
PLNT Burger is amazing! There no need to continue reading, if you're thinking about going... go! Run! I was first introduced to PLNT Burger through a Yelp Event. I am a firm believer that those events really matter. I was able to find a new restaurant and now I'm a repeat customer. It's located inside Whole Foods, which can be a little confusing at first. Head to the back and you'll find it around other restaurants. Unfortunately they don't have their own seating and it can be hard to come by. We went with the regular burger and a cheese burger. The seasoned fries and a chocolate milk shake. It's a little expensive when you consider you can get two patties of Beyond Meat for $5 (which I do weekly) but it never tastes as good as when I come to PLNT Burger. The food is amazing and staff are super friendly. I will say that the ice cream/shake process is poorly timed. We finished our meals before the shakes arrived even after reminded employees twice. Otherwise it was a great visit and I would recommend it.

Yelp
The burger was 3 stars. The fries and sauces were 3 stars. The oat milk shake was 5 stars. The employees were 5 stars. The burger: a beyond burger and vegan cheese with regular burger toppings. What I like is you finally get a vegan burger with the same options of a regular burger joint. I don't understand the "bacon" thing, but I'm not a fan of trying to make a vegan product taste like meat. The fries: taste like regular fries, even with the herbs. Not worth paying extra for unless you go with sweet potato. Sauces: meh Oat milk shake: Oh my gosh. I don't know what they put in the froyo, but this is my favorite vegan shake place now. Employees: upbeat, helpful to us first timers

Yelp
I ordered the cheeseburger (without tomatoes)TO-GO for dinner hours later. If you're reading this and it's January 2020, go now to try it out since it's half priced on all cheeseburgers. When I brought it home, I put it in the fridge for a few hours and microwaved it. The first bite was up to par with other great Beyond Burgers I've had - crispy, firm, and juicy. It tasted like a summer bbq in the wintertime.

Yelp
Years ago, before I stopped eating meat, my favorite burger shop was Good Stuff in Capitol Hill. They had the juiciest burgers, the crispiest fries, fun dipping sauces, and the best shake in town. When I found out Chef Spike was opening a vegan burger shop within walking distance of my work, I could not wait to stop by. The service was super friendly. Everyone there was helpful every step of the way and knew the answer to every question. I ordered the BBQ bacon cheeseburger, which came with bloomies (fried onion petals) and grilled mushroom "bacon". The burger was delicious and dripping with flavor. Even the cheese was stretchy. I enjoyed the dipping sauces too, especially the bloomies sauce. The fries were just OK, but I think I was comparing them to the godly provincial fries at Good Stuff. The mushroom "bacon" wasn't really bacon-like at all, but still a good topping. My friend got one of the oat milk shakes, which was surprisingly creamy and reminded me a bit of a Wendy's frosty. All in all, it was a great lunch. You can't go wrong with a good Beyond Burger! Will definitely return.

Yelp
I feel very guilty for what I'm about to say as I'm a huge stan for Burgerfi's Vegefi Burger, but...PLNT Burger has the best plant-based burgers I've ever tried! I've tried the regular cheeseburger, the double cheeseburger, and the BBQ bacon burger, and they are all absolutely delicious! PLNT Burger is located inside of the Whole Foods in Downtown Silver Spring. They use beyond meat patties and Follow Your Heart cheese which, in my opinion, has a better taste and texture than Daiya cheese. I really appreciate that PLNT burger has decided to make their foods dairy-free, soy-free and gluten-free (they use potato buns); as someone who's lactose intolerant and sensitive to gluten, it's very hard to find veggie-friendly burgers that are both tasty and won't upset my stomach later; but PLNT Burger has definitely done it! I believe the also fry their fries in coconut oil, as I do taste a bit of coconutiness when eating them. It's a very subtle taste though, so I wouldn't write it off if you're someone who doesn't enjoy coconut. I've also sampled their oatmilk soft serve and it's rich in flavor and very creamy in texture. Their bloomies are also very delicious and fun to eat! They're exactly like the bloomin' onions at outback but tiny versions! They got great with the bloomin' sauce they offer, which has a nice flavorful kick to it. I also highly recommend trying their "honey mustard" which is delicious to dip your fries in, as well as their sweet & sour sauce which is more like a sweet & sour mayo. If you're plant-based or just appreciate/want to try plan-based food, I highly recommend trying PLNT Burger.

Yelp
Ummm Ok... @plntburger it is!! I actually was sliding through Silver Spring, on my way to another spot, when I ran up on this spot! So I decided to stop in at 833 Wayne Ave., Silver Spring Maryland (inside the Whole Foods) to give this place a shot. Im glad I did!! It's quaint, efficient, and nestled near the back of this supermarket. This spot is all vegan, but when you bite into one of their sandwiches, you wouldn't know it. They have a very simple pictured menu that includes Plnt burgers, double Plnt burgers, a mushroom bbq burger, classic sausage dogs, a spicy Chik' N sandwich, regular fries, and sweet potato fries (see the pictures for the menu prices). I got the new off menu item their Smokehouse burger which includes crispy onions, grilled Plnt burger, cheese, and grilled mushrooms!! This burger was awesome y'all!! Their food is made to order, so it was fresh, piping hot, and simply delicious. I'm going back!! I also tried their Maple Mustard, and sweet chili sauces (which I dipped my sweet potato fries in). "Smack smack" says my palate!! Them joints were everything!! I can't wait to try the others. I also had their organic Strawberry Rhubarb drink...truly refreshing!! I'm going back!! They also have deserts soft serve oat ice cream, shakes, and cookies. Customer service was attentive and they exuded patience, parking was so so, you can choose the closer metered parking or park in the grocery stores lot. Overall...I'm going back!! That's it. **This establishment is Covid compliant** #foodie #dmvfoodie #bigschlimsreviews #plntburger #goodeats #vegan #vegetarian #funfood #tasty #healthierchoices #silverspringmd #sweetpotatofries #strawberryrhubarb #cheapeats #goodcustomerservice #notfastfood #butfastfood

Yelp
Finally got a chance to checkout PLNT burger this past weekend. It's located inside the Whole Foods in their cafe section. For anyone confused, the space isn't just PLNT burger, it's a Whole Foods cafe space. I ordered the cheeseburger with sweet potato fries. I have actually never had a meatless burger, so I was a little skeptical. However, I really enjoyed my burger. The size was good, the cheese tasted pretty authentic and the sauce it came with was delicious. My only critique is, the burger patty does NOT taste like real meat. I see some saying it tastes like real meat, I'm sorry but that's a lie. It very clearly doesn't. But, that doesn't make it any less tasty. The patty itself doesn't have any real taste. It takes on the flavors of the toppings, which isn't a bad thing. You can taste that grilled flavor, but again it doesn't really have its own actual distinct flavor. And again, doesn't taste like a beef patty. My friend and i really wanted to know what the patty taste liked so we made sure to take pieces of the patty out to try on its own (just an FYI). However, the patty with the toppings and sauce gives it an overall burger like taste. It's a group effort. The sweet potatoes were also good, and I tried all the condiment sauces available. I like the sweet chili sauce most. Overall, The burger was enjoyable, and I'd say is a great meat alternative, especially if you're not looking for an exact meat taste. Just don't go expecting to get a genuine meat burger taste and enjoy it for what it is. One last tidbit, I saw some complaining about seating etc. the space isn't just PLNT Burger. It's Whole Foods overall cafe space, so PLNT burger isnt responsible for the clean up, etc. It's pretty obvious that it isn't their own space and limited seating is expected as it's WholeFoods overall space.
