Pluckers Wing Bar

Amie greeted us with an incredible smile, serious patience, and a great attitude right from the start! The restaurant itself was extremely hot due to an issue with the heat not turning off. We were told only corporate could control it and that someone was set to come out, but we visited around 9:30 pm and the issue had apparently been going on all day. Several patrons were visibly uncomfortable, there were comments being made, and the staff were clearly overheated as well. It was unfortunate to see both customers and employees dealing with that for an entire day. We ran into a few food issues as well. Sauces we ordered on the side were put directly on the wings, and one of our wing orders came out cold. Amie immediately caught the sauce issue as she dropped the food off, before I even had a chance to notice, and offered to have both mine and my husband’s meals remade to match our original request. When we mentioned the cold wings, she also offered to remake that dish without hesitation. She even offered to bring over a manager, but she was so proactive and on top of everything that it truly wasn’t necessary. Despite multiple issues, Amie handled everything flawlessly and still managed to leave our entire table of four completely satisfied. I’ve never had so many things go wrong while also having such an excellent server experience. The food is amazing, the sauces are fun, it’s a great place to watch sports, and the brownie is killer. Ask for Amie when you come in, you won’t be sorry.

I went into this restaurant thinking it wasn't going to be very good. But they surprised me. The food was mostly excellent. The service was a little bit slow but not too bad. The atmosphere was a little TOO loud for my taste and the TVs are a bit much. Overall though, it was very ok.

Harley was the best server! She recommended the holy macaroni and it was absolutely fire!!! Delicious! The sauce with it was so so good. Had so much fun with trivia night, on the Wednesday we went.

My spouse loves coming here for the wings, which is the only reason we keep giving this place another chance. Unfortunately, the service is consistently terrible. Every time we visit, the staff is standing around chatting while tables stay dirty and guests get ignored. We’ve had to flag down servers just to ask for refills or mention our wings were cold, and more often than not, we’re left waiting. Even when a manager checks in, nothing really improves. It honestly feels like it gets worse each time we come. If you do decide to eat here, I’d recommend sitting at the bar — that seems to be the only area with somewhat decent service.

Try the 512 IPA, 10 wings on bone with duo sauce. Mocktail pineapple I delish. Make sure say hi to the almighty barrister Ryleigh and manager Jerry. Good vibe at this joint.

Food was delicious, served hot and in a timely manner. Our server, Roman, was spectacular! He took care of our big party with a smile and a great attitude. Thank you for a great visit. :) ​

Lance H is the best server we’ve had give that guy a promotion and raise asap! We’ve been coming to pluckers for 5 years and he is the only one that has given us info about pluckers app and how to save some cash on our dinners! Thank you lance for your hospitality see you another time!

Great experience every time we go. Best wings ever. The spicy garlic Parmesan and gochujang sauces are my go to. The new dirty sodas are better than sonic. Our server, Cassidy, gave great service she deserves a raise. Will come back as always.

Went here for some cold ones to watch a game yesterday and it was surprisingly not packed this time which was great. we chose to sit at the bar and we had a nice ice cold Jüngling, a nice ice cold love Street and ended our evening with two mega margaritas. The atmosphere was great and the bartender was super sweet. We enjoyed our little conversation we had with her. Too bad I had to lose a brand new earring that I wear for the first time, however, our date was nothing less than amazing.

The wings were a bit dry and the waffle fries were a bit soggy. I liked the fried mac and cheese even though it was a bit oily. The inside felt clean and the service was fast. There were a lot of TV's playing various games but it was just a bit loud.

best wings in San Antonio and the servers were great. Very attentive to our empty beer mugs. Will definitely come back.

Super great place to get wings, drinks and watch the games. Beer menu is pretty decent. Great drinks with alcohol. Sevice was really good, we had a large party and they were very accommodating to our party. It's a great place to watch the game. Plenty of TVs around. Staff super friendly and always cleaning up after a table. Bathrooms are clean. Plenty of seating, indoors and outdoors. No smoking 15 feet from the doors. So, if you want to smoke a cigar, you need to smoke in the parking lot. Not my favorite thing to do, but if you find a good spot, you can probably still see the games. Food came quickly, hot and fresh. We had the 15 wing combo. Good size wings.

The Dr. Pepper chicken is always amazing to try. Couple that with some frachos as an appetizer and a toxic tea with some Tito's and you can cheer on your favorite team in style! I have tried their boring burger, and it's not boring, their lemon pepper, spicy ranch and Asian zing wings, and chicken tenders. NEVER disappointed!

I love pluckers ! I love wings! This was the only picture I took of what I got because everything was so delicious I didn't think before diving in to eat it!!! Their mango habanero wings are by far THE BEST FLAVOR! Their boneless wings are HUGE and their bone in are good size ! I've been here a lot of time but this time I went with a huge group of people (around 21 people) and the staff WAS SO NICE AND SWEET! I know how it can be annoying for big groups to go to restaurants but they did not seem to be bothered. Their manager came to check in and she was joking and making us feel welcome! The 2 servers we got were so kind too! Over all their food and staff is always 10/10!!

After you have Pluckers Jumbo Wings, I don't think you will ever want to have wings anywhere else. I have only had the lemon pepper ones. They are so good that I just do not want to try another seasoning or sauce. The boneless wings are HUGE!! Sometimes I get the salad with the apple cider dressing. So, so good! Other times I may get the tater tots or fries. Their food is consistently good. I will say it is easier for us to get into the Selma location vs the San Marcos location but I think that is because San Marcos is a college town. They have trivia nights that seem pretty popular.

We came to celebrate my son's 16th birthday and the service and food were great! We ordered a 50 piece wing platter, appetizers and a few baskets of fries. Everything came out hot and as we ordered. Bryan was our waiter and was very accommodating to our large group and checked on us frequently! We sat outside and were able to have the TVs programmed to the game of our choice.

This is my go to pluckers location. Lately I have had to wait 15-20 min for a soul to come to the table and take our drink order. This has happened on multiple occasions whether the business is busy or not. I just went today and waited 20 minutes and left. I'm so disappointed in their service.

Always great service and food. The Pluckers Nachos are a must have. The wings are our go-to as well. Flavorful.

I like eating here because the meal portions are big and the service is good. Their chicken strips are almost the same size as a whole chicken breast. The sauces are great and actually taste like they're described on the menu. I tried out the hot buffalo thinking it was going to be exaggerated like in other places but the sauce was hot as described. It was delicious! The restaurant has several televisions mounted on the wall and if you're there on a Sat or Sun you're definitely going to be able to watch several games at once.

My go to place when I want to watch the game and grub on some wings. The wings are hot and the beer is cold. Need I say more.

Very kind waiter food was very good and fresh. I had 3 coupons in my app, from my understanding it says I'm able to use them all at once . But was told I can only use 2. Which was weird. But other than that it was okay.

Short but sweet. Was hungry in Selma and got off the freeway and Lo and behold there was a pluckers on the right. It was kismet because WE LOVE PLUCKERS! After an initial hiccup where no one knew who our server was, the food was great. Service was fast and best of all was that the restaurant was clean which I can't say about all the locations. I may be too old because I was thinking it was TOO LOUD but whatever. Wings, man... wings.

Great first time experience at pluckers! My hubby is a chicken wing connoisseur and was recommended this place by a coworker. I love wings myself but I'm definitely not a hard core critic lol. For appetizer I picked the fried pickles. Just a warning for any other pickle lovers like myself, these are pickle spears not chips fyi. I personally prefer pickle chips but the menu didn't specify! For our wing order we each got 10 wings, all flats! I got 5 dry rub chili lime flavor and vampire killer sauce. Both were very delicious and flavorful! I loved that the sauce wasn't an overwhelming amount. It was a perfect coat of sauce. My husband got the Manganero sauce and the Jamango jerk. I tried one of each of those as well and loved them! Definitely returning to try some/all of the other flavors! Orders come with waffle fries which I love! If you're not a wing lover or are craving something else, their menu has PLENTY of other options! They have salads, burgers, sandwiches and more! I love the interior design and decor! Very sport bar vibe with tv's everywhere! They have both indoor and outdoor seating areas! Service was wonderful! Our server, Jonathan was very prompt and attentive! I just went here last month we a huge party and they were amazing! They were able to accommodate 20 of us on a Sunday night last minute. I truly love the wings they give you so much food m, it's definitely worth the price. This will be my go to place for now on.

Guys at work recommended trying this place as I am new to San Antonio, and I am glad they did. The wings were great, a lot of good flavors and many other things on the menu. The wings were good size and were cooked perfectly. I really enjoyed the jerk ones, and the mango habanero. This place offers wet and dry rub so you have a good variety of choices. The service was excellent, always coming around and on it with timing. The place itself was aesthetically pleasing. Set up like a lot of other American restaurants, lots of tvs around and decor on the walls. It's safe to say I found my spot for wings!

Food is always good here (depending on what you get). Wings are good especially when you get them extra wet! Holy Mac is so good! Ambiance is always great for sports. Service is kinda hit or miss on certain days and times but nonetheless it's still good service.

This used to my go-to place for wings, beer, and football. Now, the place has gone downhill substantially. The only bartender who knows her regulars and knows how to efficiently and effectively run a bar is Kristen. Unfortunately, the bar is often staffed by very new employees and very new managers who got promoted just because they showed up to work. Unlike before, when the football games being shown on the restaurant's many televisions were planned out with military precision, they now are just kind of broadcasting whatever the newly appointed manager feels like dealing with at the time. Do yourself a solid favor and spend your money somewhere else. You'll find me from now on at the Home of the Original Buffalo Wing.

Pluckers Selma always comes through!! The food is always delicious and the staff very attentive and try their best to make sure you have a great experience all the time! My go to wings are the maple chipotle and Dr. pepper sauces! Definitely try them!

Location/Parking: It is located off the I-35 in Selma. There are a lot of parking in the parking lot. Waitlist/Reservations: Place your name on the waitlist on Yelp! I called to see if they were open and how long the wait is and the hostess shared that there's a 30 minute wait. She recommended to go on Yelp to be on their waitlist. It saved me time and when it was time, I got both a call and message on Yelp that my table was ready. Once I checked in with the hostess, we were seated immediately. Ambiance: It is busy and loud especially on the weekends when there are televisions playing sports and local sports groups and families coming in to dine. Seating: They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. You can sit at the bar, booth, tables and tall bar style tables. Food/Drinks: We ordered the fried cheese, nachos, wing combos with waffle fries and side macaroni and cheese. We enjoyed the fried and nachos. The fried cheese was huge despite it being 4 pieces. The nachos had bbq chicken and bbq sauces all over it. I thought that was a nice touch to a simple nacho. I didn't care for the Parmesan Garlic wings but my husband enjoyed the Vampire Garlic wings. I recommend the Strawberry Lemonade. It is priced unless $4 and it is served in a large glass cup. Cost: It can be pricey depending on what you ordered. A family of 4 spend over $77 for two appetizers, two wing combos, side Mac and Cheese, a drink and an alcoholic drink. Overall, it is a good wing bar to try especially to sample the different flavors of wings. However, it can be pricey so expect to spend a bit. It is also loud and busy. The service was great despite the weekend lunch rush.

I usually have good things to say however our server was disastrous!! It took about 15 minutes before we were greeted after being sat. We placed our drink order and appetizer order as we waited for our additional parties. We never received our appetizer even after questioning the status of our order. After an hour we finally told the waitress to cancel our order. She did so without question or an apology. Her responses and lack of were incredibly rude. She also over tipped herself and changed the amount of the tip we felt she earned. Not sure we would return

Great and homemade chips. Price increased but lunch prices are okay. Service was OK. They had just opened and were still setting up during our service time.

Visited Selma location, and we were seated quickly. Our waitress was very attentive as well as efficient. She made recommendations, and our appetizers were served hot, fresh, and in a short time frame. That Bleu cheese, though! I only like Bleu cheese from 2 places, and this is tops on my list. Chunks of blue cheese and just the right consistency for dipping your wings and celery into. Our drinks were kept full and our waitress checked in frequently as we had an incorrect wing flavor but she corrected it before we brought it to her attention! She definitely was on the ball. We got 5 extra wings because of that error. The wings were not overcooked and came out piping hot as well. Definitely one of the best visits to this wing joint in a few months. It's worth the drive if you want to try out the blue cheese, the flavor will have you smacking your lips. Watching the games was also great because we were seated in the area with the ginormous tv's. Wow !!!! Our first time at this location (any location other than Austin ) and again WOW . First me and my nephew were greeted with smiles, and such a friendly staff. Every single staff member we encountered truly looked happy . overall very welcoming. Food .... SAME food service came out fresh and hot and in great time no wait at all . Brain the waiter checked on us very frequently, and I didn't not feel rushed at all, which I love ! He was the perfect waiter . Another big shout out has to be to the manager Felicia. I saw her greeting many tables. She was very responsive with her staff. Overall, this visit just would not have been better ! *^* let me add the restroom was extremely clean

Had dinner with my family over the weekend. We got seated right away. pluckers has by far the best wings, service food and atmosphere!

Awful, just awful. The bar top was filthy. The bartender was in way over her head with no one coming in to help her. No prioritization of work. One couple was sending their food back. I tried to order a beer but I wasn't confident it was going to show up anytime soon. I decided to bail before I found out how bad it really was.

Wings were pretty good though the service was mediocre. Come hungry on wing day but also prepare to open your pocketbook. AYCE wings are $32 a person, so you'll want to probably be hungry enough for at least a few reorders to make it worth your while. The first plate comes with 20 wings off the bat, so by your third reorder (5 per) you will eclipse the $1/wing threshold. With that said, wings are pretty meaty and they have a ton of flavors. Like, so many that they categorize it because the list is extensive. Maybe over 20? I neglected to count, but that's probably right. Generally the flavors are good, the spicy parm, the Asian ones, the bbq - all pretty good. One we didn't like was the Dr. Pepper. It wasn't terrible but it was just pretty bland. Oh and it appears they fry their wings in lard, which makes all the difference. Don't come here on a diet, honestly. Hey, for real though I'd take Pluckers over BDubs or Wingstop any day. I can't truly hold the service sucking against them, BDubs service is typically worse.

Chad is an awesome server. Hazil is so kind and polite. They really care about your food tasting good. They also really care about our entire table having a good time.

Overall place looks super cool and every staff member was very friendly. Boneless wing basket could use some work. My friends really enjoyed their bone-in wings. The waffle fries were very dry and lacked flavor. But I truly enjoyed the Holy Macaroni!!

Took a long time to get initial service, waited at least 20 minutes for beers, order was wrong, food was meh, multiple crickets crawling on the table. Manager said "sorry, exterminator will come out at some point" terrible experience, won't be back. All of the TV's were great, able to watch a variety of things.

We have come to Pluckers numerous times but it seems like the quality of the food and service has gone down. Always loud and plenty of tv's with your sports going on is a guarantee but is it worth it! We will pass on this place in the future.

Really clean place with attentive staff! I can't say I was disappointed with anything. They did a great job with the place. Food was good and came out fast and hot. Service was great and they had a trainee following our server learning as much as she possibly could. The restaurant and restroom were clean overall so we were very satisfied! All blocks were checked! Great job, Pluckers! Now if only ALL Pluckers in Austin could be that clean!

Pluckers is always on point. Staff is always on their game. Servers quick and courteous, to the cooks in the back doing their thing!! Never disappointed.
