Google
Hands down the best vegan food I've had in Seattle! I'm so deeply sad to hear the business has closed. I had been trying to order food for the past couple weeks and when I called there was no answer and then I saw in the reviews someone else had mentioned they're permanently closed. I can't believe such an amazing restaurant like this would close! I wish I could have had one last meal here to support. Thank you so much for all the delicious food you've made and for hosting my husband and my rehearsal dinner. I'm so happy we were able to make memories there before they shut their doors. Thank you to the incredible staff for always making me laugh because I ordered lunch here every time I was in Seattle for work. Please please please bring your amazing food and drinks back into the spotlight soon! Or open a business down in Tacoma, we would love to have you!!

Elizabeth Vaughan

Google
I have been to Seattle 7 times in the past year and plum chopped and plum bistro are hands down the only delicious vegan options. I'm devastated for the owner that the bistro is permanently closed. I can't believe it has happened with how amazing the food is. I hope she can find a way to make a come back! Many blessings to her!

Taco Belle

Google
No. Ordered the breakfast sandwich at $11, was charged $13.24. current local Seattle tax is 10.35. I've already dealt enough with this mess at Plum Bistro with their absurd fees and $15 check splitting fee. Also the bagel was super tough, the sandwich barely had protein, the bulk of it was all the spinach he shoved in it. Not. Worth. It. Not going back here. Also Check your receipts!!

Google
The well aren't you fancy is so good! There are a bunch of flavors and a bit of spice. The nut cheese is so flavorful and amazing. It is a very unique flavor I haven't found anywhere else. The other salads I've tried are good but not unique if you just want something healthy and fresh! They also have desserts. The cookies are quite good but very soft if you're into soft cookies.

Hillary Zhang

Google
Online price is misleading. To get the most basic pre-built bowl, is $18 after tax and minimum offered tip. And get this: no protein 😂 Imagine paying $18 for a bowl of leaves. You’re better off getting quick “healthy” meal at a poke place or really anywhere else. Waited (only standing) over 12 minutes for my order. This is NOT a “quick” place. I don’t normally leave reviews but want to warn others out there.

Anastasia Wolf

Google
The salads are pretty disappointing. I’ve been back a few times, and each time I always leave feeling dissatisfied. The salads aren’t “bad” per se, but they certainly aren’t $12-$15+tip salads. The salads are mostly lettuce and skimp heavily on the interesting and flavorful ingredients. For a place that serves exclusively salads I really hoped it would be better.

Brett Melton

Google
Place use to be awesome and I would have rated it 5 stars from two years ago to a couple of months ago. New staff that misses ingredients, uses less ingredients that don't even fill the bowl anymore. To top that off, prices have increased where you spend $12 before tip for a small salad. Just not worth it anymore. I miss how it use to be.

Brad Buchanan

Google
Update January 2019: In the last several months they've gotten a lot better with consistent operating hours _and_ faster counter service! I've basically got no complaints left, so adding a star to this review. (One last wish: Having both flour and spinach wraps available all the time!) Original review June 2018: Delicious if you can catch them open! But they are closed at least half the time we show up, regardless of what their hours say. Favorite item so far: "Red blooded vegan" as a wrap.

Yelp
Popped in to grab two salads. Salads were good but after tax n tip, they came out to be around $17 each. We got the: Take Me on Tour (Kale, romaine, baked tempeh, non-dairy parmesan, fried chickpeas, and grape tomatoes with Caesar dressing) and the Well Aren't You Fancy: (Spinach, arugula, quinoa, figs, pecans, port wine nut cheese, and blackberries with balsamic vinaigrette). The salads were both good, I really liked the Well Aren't You Fancy, the candied pecans were amazing. However, there were no figs in my salad and I got blueberries instead of blackberries. The dairy free cheese was super good too.

Yelp
5-stars for the food (by admittedly subpar Seattle standards) 2-stars for pricing transparency. For a $14 takeaway wrap, I'm looking at $1.40 in a mandatory "service fee" that apparently doesn't offset or reduce the expectation of a tip (which starts at about $2 using the defaults on their payment tablet). And throw in tax. So a fast casual takeaway wrap now starts at about $20? Seriously, please either: 1. Raise your prices and eliminate the "service fee" 2. Make it clear that you don't need to tip / tips are optional 3. Lower your tip expectations if you're also pulling in a service fee. Right now, it's just super awkward.

Yelp
Great fast food of salads and sandwiches. Delicious options. You can even build your own salad. Clean. Good service

Yelp
We ordered Plum Chopped through delivery. Overall it was a pretty solid salad - not mindblowing by any means, but a decent food experience as a whole.

Yelp
Great to have vegan fast concept. Yummy cookies at cash register. Many salads made on the spot. My salad was a 3. Avocado was smashed at bottom. Didn't taste the vegan bacon sadly. The container was well packed. Lots included. Red onion could have been more thinly chopped. Overall this salad was not fabulous. Yet love the concept

Yelp
Affordable. DELICIOUS. Friendly staff. Went for lunch with wife and sat outside. Was great.

Yelp
Great salads! A little spendy, but eating anywhere out now is. I definitely will come back when I'm in the neighborhood a nice healthy treat!

Yelp
I am now on a salad kick and Plum Chopped was first on my list of places to try in Capitol Hill. After living in Houston for almost 2 years Salata was my go-to for salads. I have been trying to look for a place similar to it here in Seattle and Plum Bistro is the closest thing I have found so far. It's a tiny, hole in the wall, no indoor seating kiosk that has AMAZING vegan food. Luckily for me it's only a couple blocks away from work so I have no excuse not to stick to my new salad kick. I ordered the black goddess and it was delicious. I'm excited to try every single thing on the menu this month!

Wendy B.

Yelp
Ordered world traveler salad. Asked for a wrap, was handed a bowl. Had spinach instead of romaine. Had no tempeh. Chicken peas were raw instead of fried. Had no parm. Had some dressing but it wasn't Caesar. Wasn't any good but most importantly didn't resemble what I ordered off the menu.

Yelp
We LOVE Plum Chopped! We have been picking up salads for ourselves & friends for years - My fave is Well Aren't You Fancy? - fruit, vegan cheese & nuts on hearty greens. So many great salads - all abundant & delicious! The NEW news is their amazing vegan sandwiches - We've tried four varieties so far. The FAVES - the Portabello Gyro (great flavor, texture & the sauce is omg) and the Braised Ginger Tofu Banh Mi (spicy & herby on nice fresh roll). The Tuna Salad made of chickpeas was yum and basic in the best way possible - a classic. The Curry in a Hurry was pretty good but the curry sauce wasn't a homerun for me. THE CREW at Plum Chopped is top notch, fast & friendly. The restaurant is spotless & modern. Wish they were open weekends.

so many of my favorite ingredients best option 4vegans if i could marry this menu i would

Yelp
Love this place. Delicious, nutritious, filling and fast, with friendly service. Portion sizes are delightfully huge, which is particularly evident while strewn across the sidewalk (learn from my mistakes and take care with the to-go bag)

Yelp
I use to really love their salads. Their ingredients were fresh and tasty. My favorite was their Memphis salad and I would add nut cheese, tempeh, and pumpkin seeds. It would be amazing. Unfortunately their quality didn't last. I got the Memphis last week, and they forgot to add the beans and mushrooms and barely added dressing. Then I tried Chopped again this week, and I bought the Goddess salad. It was so revolting that I couldn't finish it. The person who made it didn't stir the dressing and ladled gobs of oil. It was so greasy that I threw out my $16 dollar salad. This place has gone downhill. Do not plan to go back.

Yelp
Very friendly service! I had placed an order through Caviar since I had some leftover account credits. It said that the order should be ready for pickup in about 10-15 minutes, and that it should be ready at 1:17 the latest. You can see what process stage your order is at through the app. It was 1:16 and it was still showing that the restaurant received my order, but it didn't say that it was "being prepared". I reached out to Caviar, to which they called the restaurant for me. I guess that they were having technical errors, but they'll start working on my order right away. That was a bit of a bummer since I was in a rush, but it wasn't that big of a deal. When I got there, there were only two people ahead of me. The girl who was assembling the bowls seemed really friendly, and she was engaging in conversation with the customer she was currently helping. She walked away to ring him up, and another gentleman came up to assist the customer in front of me. As he was preparing the bowls, the customer walked away to take a look at their Kombucha section. I wasn't sure if I had to wait in line since my bowl was already prepared. My friend is allergic to dairy, so I double checked and had asked the gentleman making the bowls if Plum Chopped is vegan. He kindly responded yes with a smile, and didn't make me feel as if I was asking a stupid question. I then asked if I had to wait in line since I had a mobile order, to which he was kind enough to check in on it for me. He grabbed a bag on top of the counter, he confirmed that the order was actually mine, and he then proceeded to hand it over to me. He was all smiles when assisting me, and he made the experience an enjoyable one!

Yelp
Over the years, I've been to Plum Bistro a few times and Quickie Too most recently. When I heard about the opening on social media, I totally had to check out it. The space is small, as if it's designed only for take out with a salad bar and a pay station; maybe even call it a hole-in-wall only instead of going towards the back, it runs lengthwise along the sidewalk. They may have plans to upgrade this space (I thought I read about this somewhere but forgot) but not sure of the timeline on that coolness. It is also pretty bare [for now]; there's no decor or clear signage, yet. It's a full service salad bar; the salad menu is a variety of unique spins on "regional-themed/inspired" cuisines. You can watch them do the magic and request amount of dressing applied; I usually say light on the Caesar cuz that can seem a bit too rich for my taste; as opposed to something lighter. So far, I think I've tried 1/3 of the menu. Once you order, you can pay at any time. The concept feels good as a good-to-go just-in-time-for-that-meeting so of place for now. Service is pleasant, chill and friendly. I actually caught my first sighting of Makini, the owner, as well. She seems like a great person to meet based on that and her social media postings. If you've been to Plum Bistro, parking is similar. Hours are fairly limited; they're at least open M-F 11a-4p.

Yelp
Capitol Hill has desperately needed a salad bar and Plum Chop't just might be it! They have a list of suggested salad combos or you can make your own. It looks like they also have breakfast from 7am - 11am, though right now their hours are only weekdays until 4pm. I'm excited for this place to get up to speed so I can go on the weekends and weeknights as well! Just a heads up - there are no places to sit so it's only to go salads.
google avatar

Yelp
BEST SALADS IN THE PNW! Maybe the West Coast but I wouldn't know since I live in mom's basement lol jk ;) . Anyways, not sure why some rated so low (I assume they must like bloody red meat in their salads LMAO. Plebs). Ingredients are fresh. Dressing is flavorful. Mixture of dry and wet is perfectly balanced and chopped! Most salad places either chop your shit to smithereens (did I ask for a smoothie or salad??) or give you big ass pieces of lettuce. Another thing I love about these salads is that it's filling!
google avatar

Erin J.

Yelp
Delish. So fresh and flavorful. No boring veg food here, I think anyone even meat eaters will appreciate the amazing flavors of this food. I only wish there was a location on the Eastside.
google avatar

Stefanie M.

Yelp
Awesome place for wonderful vegan salads! Always a pleasure to come back...till today! Everyone making/prepping salads a+!!super helpful ! The young pompous ass at the register was..just that! On top of being a complete jerk about explaining how the ordering process goes, he purposely lied and laughed. He rang me up incorrectly and did NOT bother to correct a simple mistake by saying " we dont have walnuts...but we do have pecans/amonds/pepitas" instead I had to go back and request the pecans because I was rung up for it and that's what I wanted as a sub. Instead of offering a bag and utensils while I paid -I went back 3x from salad bar to register -i now needed to go back over and get the bags and utensils. That's not how you treat any customer...especially those that do NOT visit you every-day or only visit when in town, that's also how you loose customers!

Yelp
Your salad will cost about $10, and it will be worth every penny. Capitol Hill has lots of places to grab pizza, ice cream, sushi, burgers, or tacos. The salad options, however, are hit and miss. Here is where Chopped shines! Plum Bistro has always been one of the best vegan options in the area, and the salad-focused extension makes for a fantastic quick lunch. There is no seating - not that there would be any room for it anyways - so all food is to-go. You can build your own or choose one of the options from the menu. The Black Goddess is my most recent go-to. The ingredients are always top notch quality! I've never had wilted greens or a mealy tomato in the mix. I'm not vegan myself, but I've never had any complaints about their dressings or nut cheese. It's all delicious! You can also specify how much dressing you want (heavy, medium, light), and I usually find "light" to be perfect for my tastes. Gratuity is automatically added to your order, so there's no pressure to tip on top of that. But if you hate automatic gratuity, you should probably just steer clear of Seattle in general ;-) So if you want a healthy salad option for lunch, give Chopped a go!

Yelp
This is the 2nd Plum location, where the chef/owner pours her imagination into creating vegan cuisine. She has fun with food, and it shows! I am grateful, not being a vegan myself, for a place both my partner and I can really enjoy eating out! This family rooted business defined smart eating before it was in vogue. PS Any salad can be turned into a wrap! = 'Heaven.'
google avatar

Ian F.

Yelp
I'm honestly not a salad guy but I started coming here initially because I felt like it was something good I needed to do for myself instead of just eating garbage all the time. I keep coming back because every time I try something new my brain does a double take. Is this salad really this good? I now come here not just because salad's are good for me but because I actively crave them.
google avatar

Jessica N.

Yelp
Like the concept for lunch. Fast and easy way to pick up a bite on the healthier side. Ingredients tasted fresh. Had tons of fresh avocado. Salad was drenched in dressing and made the lettuce soggy and too sweet. Next time I'll ask for light on the dressing and see if that kicks up the rating.
google avatar

Brian H.

Yelp
After trying Plum Chop't a couple times I conclude it's just so-so. I like the bistro next door much better. The salads are healthy but too blah. The last one I tried had little flavor and the tomatoes were green and sour. I also disagree with the auto 15% gratuity for take away. The girl that served me was of little help and had an attitude.
google avatar

Dennis R.

Yelp
Best vegan salad and wrap around great customer service and friendly love this place drive up from tacoma once a week
google avatar

I. H.

Yelp
Well first of all, given that its connected to well touted vegan restaurant, I had anticipated that this would be a little more elevated experience than the typical assembly line salad place. It was actually a lesser experience. No good design thought has gone into the menu board to make ordering easy. And the folks behind the counter weren't making much of an effort to communicate the brand or the choices. The worst part though...The tofu for the salads has a really bizarre flavor that's pretty unpalatable, at least to my palate. It almost tastes like there's too much spice on it which has the effect of making it taste contaminated. I'm not generally that picky, but this really was yucky tasting to me. The rest of the salad ingredients, edamame, pepitas, romaine peppers was pretty fresh and good though.
google avatar

Kiley B.

Yelp
This place is such an underrated gem. The salads are delicious, inventive and very affordable. There is no where else on the hill you can get a healthy meal for $10. I love that you can pick one of their salads or build your own, and any option can be made into a wrap.
google avatar

Jenae T.

Yelp
Two stars, one for tasty food and one for affordability. My roommate and I decided to try this place out since it's in our neck of the woods. The whole process was awkward, and there's zero customer service. Fast forward a few hours and we're both sick. It's day two and we're both still feeling it. In reading the reviews it seems this place has a history of unwashed produce. Thanks for the e coli, probably won't be back until this issue is resolved. You've been chopped!
google avatar

Chance G.

Yelp
I'd like to give this place five stars because yeah their salads are in fact awesome; but the fact of the matter is I always end up getting behind a caviar or food delivery service that ends up making something that should be a quick experience take 10-20 minutes longer and there's nowhere to wait.
google avatar

Heath A.

Yelp
This place is bloody spectacular. Been here twice now. I'm not even a salad person and I could probably eat them every single day. Honestly, where are you going to find a salad for 10 bucks thats better than these? I've not had one

Keira C.

Yelp
I've eaten maybe ten "Red Blooded Vegan" salads over the last few years... it's a great tasty and healthy option for lunch! They make them fresh on the spot and they're pretty hearty (not just a couple of loose lettuce leaves) with plenty of toppings. That being said, I've had a few bad customer service experiences here, with various servers forgetting ingredients in it or being rude.
google avatar

Lana C.

Yelp
Glad to see delivery thru Caviar. Salad was delish, though I would order more often if there were healthier dressing options with less oil. I added spicy pecans to mine expecting a few on top, and the salad was about half pecans, so I would skip that next time. Can't be good for Plum's bottom line, and definitely not good for my waistline. Will order again without the pecans.
google avatar

Shamim S.

Yelp
This place gets 1 star (should be more like zero stars). When you're paying a good amount of money for salad that claims to be "organic"- you expect to at least trust the establishment and hope that they are mindful of how they prepare their food. Well, this place clearly does not value it's customers or the way they handle food. I ordered a salad, when I went to eat it, I found DIRT caked on the kale pieces and even a A BUG. WTF? LEARN HOW TO WASH YOUR PRODUCE IF YOU'RE PLANNING ON SELLING YOUR FOOD TO THE PUBLIC. I've frequented this place many times, and I'm sick to my stomach now that I'm wondering what kind of nasty stuff I've ingested from them. I mean, I wouldn't have thought to have to inspect my food every time. I'm never coming back to this place and I'll warn all of my Cap Hill neighbors to do the same. Besides, I've always like JuiceBox better anyway. I'll stick with them.
google avatar

Mallory B.

Yelp
I've gone here several times since it opened. It's conveniently located near my office and and I keep going back because it's the closest healthy lunch option. But out of the 7 times I've been there and ordered the exact same salad, 4 of them have had the wrong ingredients. I don't understand how this is possible because if the employee couldn't remember what was in it, the menu is right above their head...
google avatar

Mike M.

Yelp
Took for freakin everrrrrrr to get one salad with only 1 person in line in front of me ......lame
google avatar

Haley R.

Yelp
Love this place! The salads are delicious and most of all unique! You won't get bored if you are trying to keep it healthy for lunch.
google avatar

Anna T.

Yelp
Salads are pretty good, even for meat eaters. Breakfast burritos are really good. Only downside: Servers can be testy/moody if you catch them on a bad day.

Joey B.

Yelp
I wish they would get their hours sorted out, but it's been this way since they opened. I've attempted to go there 3 times this week, relying on the hours posted online and also on the door. Closed all three times. It's to the point I can't even consider the place an option any more since chances are they'll be closed. The salads are good, but good luck finding them open for business.
google avatar

Mark H.

Yelp
This place is awesome for a take and go lunch - very healthy and fresh salads packed with flavor, and the soups of the day have been super good! This is my new go to spot on the hill for a healthy and filling bite!
google avatar

Katie C.

Yelp
Glad to have a salad place nearby, and the menu of salad topping combos are creative. I tried one with nut cheese and other toppings - and the nut cheese was delicious! But I felt like the ratio of toppings to greens was way too low and was still hungry after finishing the salad. I understand quality ingredients can drive up the price, but salads at other places tend to pack a bit more in my opinion. I wanted to build my own, but the base price is already $9 and some of the toppings I wanted were going to add up. I am willing to give this place another try, but don't think it will be my new regular spot.
google avatar

Chanel M.

Yelp
Very filling salads. I got the Mama Africa salad and it was delicious. I couldn't finish it in one sitting which was great because I had leftovers. I didn't realize that vegan could be filling bc I'm not vegan.
google avatar

Deb R.

Yelp
So happy to have a much needed affordable salad spot in the neighborhood! I'm a meat eater but am very satisfied with these vegan only options. Had the World Travel, so good I had it again 2 days later. Looking forward to trying them all. Everything tastes so fresh and made with love.

Amanda D.

Yelp
I've eaten at Plum Bistro before and it is amazing but, this was my first time getting a salad from Plum Chopped. Yes, please!!! It was SO good. The portion size was perfect and the delicious vegan ranch was tossed in, which I love. I got the Red Blooded and it was exactly what I was hoping for. The nut cheese bites were so flavorful and those crunchy croutons were perfectly crunchy. There were a ton of the cherry tomatoes and the pepperoncini peppers gave the perfect flavor combination. I would absolutely recommend Plum Chopped if you're looking for a yummy salad.

Marco P.

Yelp
We had 2 salads to go that were delicious because of the care of the person who did it. I really appreciate when somebody puts so much care into into anything they do. He was super friendly and really made sure it was tossed well.

Tute f.

Yelp
No breakfast items --was very disappointed. Had come across their website and specifically went to the cafe drawn but the vegan breakfast menu listed on website and yelp, only to learn there is no breakfast available. The "all day" breakfast items that are advertised online are not available during the weekends. Furthermore, instead of the 10or so breakfast items listed and advertised on their menu in store and on their website, they only make one item during the week day, the breakfast burrito which is available only if one is lucky (they only make 10 burritos a day according to the server). Please don't mislead people with inaccurate info on website and list items on the menu at the store itself; they weren't even available! There was no apology given either. We ended up getting salads which was not what we had driven specifically to the cafe for.

Brynn L.

Yelp
First time today. I walked in just after opening, and 3 different staff members just looked at me confused. 2 walked back into what I think was the kitchen. The other said Hello, but still not standing behind counter or food area, so with no one offering to take my order I finally just asked for one of the breakfast sandwiches. He said they only had the Texas burrito currently available, no explanation.

Caitlin F.

Yelp
Best salad EVER. I am so sad that Seattle doesn't have Sweet Green, but this definitely makes up for it! I always get the Red Blooded Vegan with EXTRA nut cheese. Yes, it sounds odd, but the nut cheese is AMAZING. I love Plum Chopped and wish there were more locations!

Laura D.

Yelp
Delicious, satisfying, and more reasonably priced than you'd expect. I'm the menu is spot on. If I could afford it, I'd eat it every day.

Meg J.

Yelp
I enjoy chopped. They are the only chopped salad joint in Capitol Hill from what I can tell. I just wish they would chop their kale finer. It seems like most of the kale leaves are about the circumference of my head! I get the Red Blooded Vegan - great salad.
