This is like an old time diner! Amazing service. Coffee on deck ready to fill your cup! Food was good! Fantastic. I love breakfast food and they did not disappoint. They have a lunch menu too with all different types of food. The Benedict Florentine was BOMB! All flavor cooked how I like it. My boyfriend had eggs bacon and hashbrowns. THE BACON THO! it was thick and long and they served I think 6 (haha). Overall it was good. Service and food on point.

This is one of the best breakfast spots around. Definitely one of my favorites. Food and service were very good! I would recommend this place.

Google
This spot has that rare, old-school family breakfast spot vibe that’s just awesome. The people are incredibly welcoming, and the food absolutely delicious. It’s the perfect place to bring your friends and family and share a great meal. Prepare to leave with left overs.

We have been coming to the Plum for as many years as it's been open and b4 when it was the Colliery. We are so happy they reopened. I gave one less star on food bc I love, love pancakes but the buttermilk version needed a bit more flavor like a touch of vanilla. They have several versions so I will try one of the others. The menu is great with so much variety and something for everyone. The staff are so friendly and attentive and it's gr8 to see the same faces as b4 the closing. Sitting outside in the summer is the best. Plum Delicious is clean, well run, neighborhood friendly, and a place to come and enjoy food, friends and family. Welcome back open, we missed you.

Great breakfast all day. Bug portions are attentive wait staff.

Google
Affordable American fare. They have a senior menu as well. They did a good job with everything, not disappointed. The bacon I got was soooo good! Let them know if you don't like your bacon as crispy as it's shown in the pic, I like my bacon crispy- the flavor of the fat was outta this world. Overall a decent down-home place. Could work on their interior though, add some character. Service was warm and friendly.

I'm back Seattle and as hungry as ever. So I stopped in and grabbed a bite at Plum Delicious, and I have to say it was a great breakfast idea. First, anywhere you have that morning crowd of those in their "Golden Years," you definitely have to stop in. They can't just go eating anything, and what is prepared is done with care. The service is extra nice and always comes with a smile, just like in this visit. It's also a great family spot too. Our server was a little forgetful, but hey, I'm the pot calling the kettle black. She was great when it counted, and our order was right. What else do you really need. So if you're ever in the Renton area and you have a hankering for some early morning cakes and coffee, head up to the highlands and stop on in.

Yelp
You can tell this place is family owned and we loved the vibe walking in. We were greeted by a very bubbly & friendly man.. he seemed like the owner. Very charismatic and knew the regulars. It was only 9:30am but my husband was craving a burger. He was able to order that and this burger was so thick and perfectly grilled! He said it was one of the best burgers he had. My daughter's kids meal was huge and at such a great price. The customer service was top notch and they made sure your coffee was always filled. We can't wait to come back! I just took a star off because the restaurant definitely looks outdated and can use a renovation on booths and decor. Other than that, highly recommend!

Yelp
Felt like some breakfast and ran into this place. It's kinda hidden off the street. There's a lot of people inside and plenty of seating. Kids making all this noise is driving the old people crazy. I ordered the PD Large Breakfast Combo. Pancakes bacon sausage hash browns ham and orange juice. Blueberry Pancakes were tough around the edges....I like the pancakes fluffy but they were good...bacon sausage ham were good as well as the hash browns. Orange juice was ok...basic stuff. If you in the area swing by and check it out.

Yelp
They food is amazing n the people are kind and generous i love to go eat there I don't like to order food n go pick up it's cold but i love to go in and eat

Steve K.

Yelp
This is always a reliable good breakfast spot. The steak and eggs were cooked perfectly as ordered. The portions for the hash browns were huge along with two pieces of toast. The service was good and the restaurant has a cozy feel.

Yelp
I'm not sure how long Plumb D has been here, but I'm almost positive I ate here before I was reviewing restaurants. I know I also ate here when it was The Colliery. With that in mind, I decided to give this place another try as I'm certain my last breakfast here was not positive. I'm going to assume this is new ownership because the place appears to have new life breathed into it. I had the Farmers Omelet. It wasn't as advertised, but it was good. I think pictures ad description said potato chunks, or diced potatoes. This was hashbrowns, which was find by me. Ironically, I was going to request hashbrowns, but didn't want to be a pain. The omelet was cooked to perfection, the browns were crisp and the eggs had no brown. My only issue was the temp, it was warm, but not hot. The best technique is to cook the omelet about 75%, then put it under a broiler. That not only makes the eggs fluffy, but raises the eternal temp which makes it hot, and the cheese stringy. The gravy also could have been hotter to help. It was good, could have been better, but also could have been much worse. Technique is what sets restaurants apart. This place has A+ potential, but they are in the B category in my opinion. It was also cold in the restaurant. It's never a good sign when you don't have heat. We were unable to take off off jackets do to the cold interior temp.

Yelp
This food is pretty solid. A car drove into the building last year so they were closed for awhile but once they reopened, they were packed! Things have settled now where they have a steady clientele busy during brunch hours and they provide pretty large meals - definitely enough to take home for some leftovers. My dad visited and loved this place when we went. He keeps saying he wished he lived closer to come here which was cute. Like an old style diner, someone will wander around with a coffee pot asking if you want coffee. There's also copious amounts of spices and sauces for you to give your breakfast an extra umph. Every time I go, I usually order a normal omelette or a sandwich. I'm not too daring but there's a lot of different diner offerings and Mexican food.

Wennie H.

Yelp
I have driven past this restaurant probably over 100+ times and never stopped because I thought I wouldn't like it. On a whim, we popped inside and it felt like we were in someone's grandparents house. The resturant was lively and there were tons of folks seated and getting seated. Definitely a local spot. I ordered the carrot cake pancakes and they were drizzled with cream cheese icing and topped with crushed walnuts. There were chunks of pineapple, raisins and carrot shreds, I really enjoyed it. It wasn't too sweet and had a good amount of spice. I did get a side of syrup, in case. I asked the waitress if they were big and the example she gave me didn't seem like it, so I ordered two, they are huge but not "hefty" they were pretty light in my opinion. My partner got the Denver omelette and it was pretty standard. Overall, nice experience.

Yelp
I've passed this restaurant for several years and finally decided to stop for breakfast. I hate trying new places but surprisingly this place didn't disappoint. It was delicious and their portions are huge super and the prices aren't bad either. The customer service is superior. I felt welcome and the waiter kept coming around and pouring coffee & water, which I liked. It was busy but our orders were brought out fast. I do recommend this place.

Seth J.

Yelp
Nice little family style deli! Me and my wife come here pretty often. They serve breakfast and lunch and are only open until like 3:30pm I believe. I have got a lot of different orders here and like them all. They have great breakfast and lunch. The service is awesome if you get "Mom". She is super sweet. Most staff is great. I onetime came on the weekend and got a younger guy and sat on outdoor patio area and just got terrrrrrrrrrrible service. Walked out that day after sitting there 20 minutes. That was ONLY bad experience. Been here like 20 times. I love this place! Thank yee

Olivia T.

Yelp
pretty good, no complaints. casual breakfast dining, the customer service is great, friendly and kind staff.

Alex C.

Yelp
Good food, however they've forgotten the Au ju with the French Dip while ordering to go twice now.

Mecca F.

Yelp
We stumbled onto this place so me and my son decided to try it out. No wait for seating. Staff was busy running around serving tables that it took over 30 minutes for our food was delivered after we ordered. I wasn't happy about that. The food was good and yes the bacon was real. Menu prices are reasonable. Clean restrooms!!

Milissa P.

Yelp
Love this place great food , fun people and wow large portions. Bring your appetite!!

Brenda F.

Yelp
We had visited plum delicious one time and was so impressed we came back a second time expecting the same experience. The second time we had eggs Benedict and it was smothered in an unfamiliar sauce. The eggs, sauce, and bread were cold. The hash brown were cold and soggy. Truly, garbage. The place at the time was morning and on a weekday. There were very few people in the restaurant. Why would a real cook serve food like that. Major disappointment fir sure.

A. Leona H.

Yelp
Plum Delicious really hits the spot for breakfast when you don't feel like cooking. They are friendly and the restaurant has a good amount of seating. The food is hearty and is a good amount. There is a good selection on the menu. Chicken fried steak is good and they have delicious bacon.

Gabriel M.

Yelp
It's October and it's 71°, so I wanted to pick a place to sit outside with my dog and these guys have a great patio. If you haven't been there and all the chairs are rocking chairs which makes it even better. The waitress brought out water for my dog as well as a snack without me even asking she also took care of me and I appreciate it. The service was great. The sandwich I couldn't stick in my mouth it was so big we had the club and we also had the Reuben with french fries, tartar sauce, ranch with Tabasco Perfect

Deanna T.

Yelp
On mother's day I ate one of the best bacon cheese burgers I've had in my life! And the fries were insanely good too. It's my mom's favorite restaurant and I understand why. Every time we go, it's good, and as someone with sensory sensitivity consistency is valued.

Andee P.

Yelp
This diner is a little old and worn but the portions of food they serve are huge and the food is delicious!! Old fashion diner food is the absolute best and we've been here several time and I'd go there again!! Also, the coffee is delicious!

Candis P.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem for a nice resonantly price breakfast, good lunch choices, including burgers that our hand formed, cooked to ur liking, so big, hard to take a bite.. my fav, Swiss cheese. & mushrooms. Soup & sandwich combos, Reuben's, French dip, old fashion chicken fried steaks, fried liver, steaks. Definitely something for everyone! Casual dining, including kids, n the servers are friendly, helpful, constantly checking on your needs. Hours are limited, closes by 3pm. Believe me, when a car crashed into Plum Delicious 2 years prior, it was missed by the regular patrons, and those who enjoy the food. Oh, don't miss the eggs Benedict. I had never been there, but my friend says that's her moms favorite weekly go to. After my first meal, I've been there often. Sometimes I need to just get away by myself, and what better to do than Try out plum Delicious dishes.

Jim H.

Yelp
Just forgot to mention that I love Ashley she is an amazing waitress, a cutie and a sweetheart

Melanie V.

Yelp
This restaurant is not what it used to be. We were not greeted when we walked in right away. Our food took over 40 minutes to come out (there was only 2 of us). The sausage were dehydrated and steak was small portioned. Unfortunately, we won't be coming back...

KT E.

Yelp
this is a local gem for brunch. Folks are always friendly, the menus wallet-friendly and, true to their name, straight up delicious. Plus, they got a patio where your fur friends are welcome too. What's not to love?

Connie W.

Yelp
Great people! Great food! Makes for a wonderful experience. Thanks go to Gary (the owner). He has created a very homey atmosphere.

Charleen K.

Yelp
I had the BEST patty melt ever. I had lunch while my husband had breakfast. He had chicken fried steak and eggs. Both were wonderful. I had to take half with me. Perfect visit. Servers were so nice and very active. We plan to go as often as we can.

Becca S.

Yelp
Absolutely a great breakfast spot. A solid menu to choose from, filling portions and fantastic service! I have moved away from Renton but make a point to still take my visitors to PD for breakfast when having company from out of town. I love the homey vibe. Call it "dated" or "ran down", I think it's great character. Like enjoying a family meal at your grandparents house. A good cozy feeling to get your hangover breakfast or start the day started before going on adventures.

Wayne B.

Yelp
Nice value for the food. Definitely a family atmosphere restaurant. The service was impeccable.

Jeremiah K.

Yelp
Alicia has the best customer service! Food and dessert was 10/10 no complaints. I got the southwest burger medium with French onion soup. My other half got the sirloin steak and mushroom with green-beans and rice. Also shared a Cobb salad and it was all awesome. For dessert we shared the turtle cheesecake. All around this is a great little gem in Renton

Michele G.

Yelp
First time here and we were not disappointed! The food was delicious. We ordered the California Turkey sandwich, Mushroom Burger and Jumbo Shrimp dinner. Everything was so good. We also ordered the New York Cheesecake for dessert also good. The service was extremely tans and very friendly! Alicia was wonderful! We will be back the next time in town.

Annabel W.

Yelp
Food is delish, everyone is really kind and attentive. It's a random little place in a parking lot, but it has that cozy diner feel inside.

Sarah R.

Yelp
We got delivery this morning and ordered a kielbasa and eggs as well as the Mexi skillet. The skillet was ok, but the Kielbasa and eggs was laughable. For approximately $16 we got only half a kielbasa and two eggs. We won't be ordering from here again.

Angel G.

Yelp
One of the most amazing experiences one can have at a homestyle diner. When I say everything was ON POINT I mean it! From the incredible food to the remarkable customer service. It was my father in laws birthday and this place was recommended. His mom passed away and ironically our waitress had the same name as her, Alicia. It was a sweet reminder of her presence on his special day. Our waitress Alicia was one of the best waitresses all of us have ever had. She was animated, friendly, & polite, with amazing customer service skills and great confidence. She went above and beyond to make sure all of our orders were correct and she checked on us frequently. If I could have tipped her $10,000 I would have! And that's a minimum compared to how amazing she was. & the food. Oh my goodness the food was delicioussssss. Everyone ordered breakfast and I ordered and turkey burger with bacon cheddar potato soup. The bacon ALONE is worth coming back for. Everyone's food was on point. This was my partners commentary "The breakfast was really good. We had the PD breakfast which was large enough to split for two people. It had the best bacon that I've ever had in my life. It was the perfect thickness, had a good amount of fat but also good amount of meat to it. The eggs I got scrambled with cheese were really light and fluffy. The potatoes were a little on the dry side but paired with the other food it was really good. The pancake was huge and fluffy. The restaurant was willing to accommodate us and split the large breakfast between two people which was really nice. We also both got mimosas which only cost five dollars. They were little cups which were super adorable and it was also super affordable. The hot chocolate they serve at this place is probably the best I've ever made including the ones that I make at home. Personally it was a good thickness and richness without being overly sweet and it was served with whip cream cream. They also accommodated us by making a high chair for our 5 month old & surprised my father with a cupcake and a song." Needless to say we'll be back soon!

Festivefunkylife M.

Yelp
Their food quantity and quality both was just okay not that great. The lady who took our order was so rude that we felt se was punishing us for something. Plates were not cleaned before serving.

Len W.

Yelp
Our go to for home cooked food! Always great ! Whether you have breakfast, lunch or dinner I highly recommend! And no I'm not an employee or related ! Len Wright

Sarah C.

Yelp
My husband and youngest daughter came for breakfast and were pleasantly greeted and seated. My husband ordered coffee and I ordered a Bloody Mary. Husband said the coffee was really good, and the staff were on top of keeping his mug filled. The Bloody Mary was excellent, definitely will return for one. Food we ordered: Chicken Fried Steak, Eggs Benedict and the kids Silver Dollar pancakes. All were good, generous portions. We ordered a to go meal for my older daughter who had stayed home but wanted us to bring her something. We ordered 1 pancake, 1 egg and 2 sausage and it came out to something like $13, which I thought was kind of pricey. The sausages were unfortunately burnt so she couldn't eat those, but the pancakes were delicious and the eggs were cooked perfect. All in all good food, EXCELLENT service and loved the music

James C.

Yelp
It's an old family style restaurant. Friendly staff, good food for good value, dated and interesting decor

Danyelle M.

Yelp
We eat out a lot and decided to give Plum Delicious a try. Best decision ever! This place was amazing!! Our server Elizabeth was the best server we have had in YEARS. She was incredible. The food was some of the best food I have had in years. This is our new favorite place. Real food and genuine service. I had no idea places like this still existed. The restaurant has a small-town feel to it, which is a nice change from the cookie-cutter corporate stores.

Alvin L.

Yelp
A restaurant that we have been driving past for a few years but decided to finally stop by for brunch on Saturday morning. Parking lot was pretty backed but it was due to the neighboring stores. Restaurant was busy but not operating at full capacity. The menu was 6 pages or so and had a variety like you would expect for a dinner. I ordered the motherload omelette (bacon, ham, sausage, peppers, onions, mushrooms and cheese) with a healthy portion of hash (crispy to perfection). I was impressed with the portion and the food was great. I truly enjoyed it and glad we dropped by. My wife ordered the Florentine Benedict and seemed to enjoy her food as well. Looking for a spot for brunch in the Renton highlands - give PD a try. The service was good but could have been better. The restaurant was super busy by the time we were finished eating but it took another 8-10 mins for them to process our credit card - so we stayed longer than we would have liked. Overall - would come back.

Jessica B.

Yelp
I have been here a few times always for breakfast. Each time has been great! Always good service, not a very long wait even on a Sunday morning. Would recommend to anyone who wants a great low-key atmosphere and a great breakfast! -1 star for the women's restroom. It was pretty nasty in there. Could definitely use better cleaning and upkeep.

Janelle D.

Yelp
This place is the best to come for breakfast! I was recommended by my cousin that loves to come here with his family and the service is great too! Kinda looked like an old diner but the old diners have the best food! You got your breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu. And I'm glad they have an all day breakfast menu! The portions are worth it! My usual is the biscuit and gravy with scrambled eggs. Or the French toast. That's the best two to order if you wanna eat on a empty stomach and you want it to last you the day. Also the service is awesome! They come around and make sure your cup of coffee and water is full! They're very sweet people too! Very great job! I love coming to this place that treats their employees like family.

Ahyesha R.

Yelp
Overpriced basic food. Can get the same at Dennys cheaper. There was absolutely nothing special about this place.

Thuy N.

Yelp
It was our first time in this establishment last Sunday. I have to admit that this is a pretty good breakfast joint in Renton. It's located next to the Goodwill and Saars. Plenty of parking spaces available. The portions is pretty generous and tasty. My family really enjoyed it. My bf had the breakfast burrito and it was humungous. The kids enjoyed their thick bacon, ham and French toast. The only thing that I would change (coming from a first timer) is that I hoped the front staff would acknowledge incoming customers. There were numerous of staffs, going back and forth, but a simple, "we will be right with you" would be sufficient. We didn't know if there's a sign-in sheet for the wait, or if we should be seated in the area and just wait it out. (BTW, there was a sign-in sheet on the counter but it was waiting for one of the staff member to manage it. Maybe a front area for the customer to sign-in themselves would be ideal.) Overall, I'm glad we found this place, as we will be coming back more often. It's definitely a hidden gem in Renton.

Jim B.

Yelp
This is our favorite breakfast place in Renton. Ambiance is neighborhood bar and grill esque where they seem like they've been expecting you and know you. The coffee comes right out and my wife always gets the hot tea setup that offers every variety of tea in a giants basket. The food portions are huge and for me, the litmus breakfast test for any restaurant is how good their Eggs Benedict is. It passed the test with flying colors and they even have the granddaddy of them all, the Corned Beef Hash Eggs Benedict. Mic drop. I'm giving this a 5 stars as our favorite breakfast place as I've never been there for dinner so keep that in mind.

Stacy O.

Yelp
First time here since Covid hit so I figured it's a good time to do an updated review. Came for lunch with 3 girlfriends and was so happy to see that the food and the service are still top notch IMHO. I love breakfast for lunch(or dinner) but rarely trouble to make it at home. So I ordered the Mother Load omelet. It had so much good stuff in it! And their hash browns are really good. Crispy but still fluffy. Two of our party had a sort of biscuits and gravy on scrambled eggs. Both said the gravy was very tasty. We were all full and satisfied. The service was great, too. Attentive and friendly. Each person we interacted with was welcoming. It's really nice to find a place where the people who work there seem to enjoy their job and take care of their customers. Love this place!!

Scott M.

Yelp
Nice family restaurant. Good food with friendly service. A bit of an older restaurant- but that means people like it.

Carin S.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite restaurants, but I have to say the last two visits have been very unsatisfying. We're still self-quarantined. We work from home. We're not quite ready to start eating out yet, but we do get a lot of takeout. I'm not sure if they have a new chef, but tonight, I really regreted spending $45 on crap food. First, once I get home, I discovered my honey didn't get her soup; they gave us two salads. She was so looking forward to her soup; salads are not her thing. Then she takes a bite of her Grandma's Meatloaf. She ate maybe three bites and says she can't finish it. It tasted old. I ordered the sirloin steak with mushroom. Supposed to be with a garlic sauce. I tasted no garlic. And while cooked perfectly medium rare, the steak was flavorless. Same thing happened last time; ordered the "thinly sliced" London Broil, and it was big ole hunky chunks with no flavor. And at least last time, my fixings for the baked potato came separately in little containers; this time, it was all thrown together in one of those small Styrofoam boxes, so it was a mess. This taught me to stick with their breakfasts and sandwiches. Which I had to make for each of us, since dinner was a bust. It all went into the dumpster. Very unpleasant dinner experience.

Brenda B.

Yelp
The best waiters, waitresses! Best food! Consistent! I was sad when another car busted in their rear. I hope all is good and can't wait to come back in!

Roger L.

Yelp
Friendly staff, great food, owner is very personal and often stops to chat and make sure everything is ok with your meal. We're never disappointed

Diane L.

Yelp
This place is a neighborhood gem The friendly staff is like family. We are a big fan of Carmen Gary, the owner, is always on hand to greet his neighbors. Delicious and extensive breakfast menu. The meatloaf sandwich is one of my faves

Monica M.

Yelp
I love this place for breakfast. The portions are huge. Two people could share an omelet. Fast service to get you seat but not fast on the rest of the sevice. Everyone is always very nice but for some reason today the drink and food service was slow and inconsistent. We ordered mimosa which are an easy alcoholic drink ut they took 20 minutes to get there. I had to ask twice. They came after the food was delivered. The food was good and large portions but not exactly what I had asked for. Not sure if they were short staffed or overwhelmed because the place was busy. Restroom are deteriorating a d dirty. The place restaurant is old and run down. Even though it's old I do recommend for great breakfast. The omelets are huge and the carrot cake pancakes are delish!
