Plum Bistro, One of Seattle’s Most Famous Vegan Restaurants, Just Closed | Eater Seattle

"A component of the broader brand located at Seattle Center, this market was one of several ventures that expanded the restaurant group's reach beyond the flagship dining room." - Harry Cheadle

Absolutely terrible. Rude staff. Manger Named nick walks around the store so fast like he’s on an upper. I have seen him bump into numerous customers. This store needs to get a grip. If I could give 0 stars I would. Whole Foods has earned a new life long customer

I had provided feedback that the bakery section never has much vegan any longer. I asked about the Zingerman's bread and was told they don't have any vegan bread at Zingerman's. I shared they make it and sell it theirselves? They used to have vegan sandwiches and now they sometimes have one vegan wrap, which is not good in my opinion. When they first opened, they seemed like they cared and now it seems like they really don't care any longer. I wrote to their headquarters to give feedback and they just ignored me. if they want to compete, they need to change their attitude about customer care. If you don't care about your customers, they are not going to care about Plum Market and will shop at Whole Foods instead, which is what I do now. It always surprises me when a CEO fails to understand how important it is to be kind and open to customer suggestions as simple as getting in more vegan in a college town.

Very clean store. Available outside/inside seating for any food from their in house kitchen, bakery, or prepared foods dept. Hot soup and a Cold salad bar are also available. Cheese/Deli and Meat/Seafood counter service as well. Pretty sweet rewards system through their app. Great customer service throughout store!

I had an exceptional experience shopping at Plum Market. The moment I walked in, I was greeted with a clean, well-organized space that felt inviting. The selection of high-quality, organic produce was impressive, and I was pleasantly surprised by the extensive range of specialty foods and local products. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, readily available to answer any questions and guide me through my shopping journey. I particularly appreciated the wine selection, curated with care and offering a variety of options to suit different preferences and budgets. Moreover, the checkout process was smooth and efficient, making the entire shopping experience hassle-free. Plum Market has definitely set a high standard for grocery shopping, and it's a place I will happily return to. Five stars all the way!

Google
A beautiful, well organized, well stocked store. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Plums makes a trip to the grocery store an aesthetic experience, particularly in such tumultuous times.

Great selection of prepared foods and excellent salad bar. A little pricey but best option in the area. I wish they would still offer fresh coffee service as I especially enjoy a good cup of coffee with my meal.

Love everything about this store, we have been going here for many years. The selection is outstanding and the quality is even better.

Yelp
There is an old saying in life that goes "You get what you pay for." While it's no secret that the prices at Plum Market definitely above average, the quality of the items here are truly top-notch. It's truly level above the competing Busch's and Holiday Market stores. If you're tired of everyday takeout options that you find at fast food restaurants, then you owe it to yourself to splurge once in a while and enjoy lunch or dinner from the Plum Market. The meat and seafood offerings are prepared to give you a fine dinning experience that you can serve at home or at the office. You can even enjoy their out of this world salad bar, which offers wide array of fruit and vegetables options. The service here is amazing, first-rate, and everyone is well educated and knows how to make some great recommendations. This is especially true of those who work in the wine section. For instance, if you want sake from Japan, they have an amazing selection of options to offer you that can be served cold or warm. Likewise, the staff even makes excellent food recommendations to enhance the sake experience. The atmosphere inside this market is truly amazing, and very clean. My only complaint is that they offer a very limited selection of soy sauce from Kikkoman's. Given the fact that it's Ann Arbor, I would have expected much more in the way of diversity when it comes to the variety of soy sauces from the Asia-Pacific Region. So if you want to impress your date, serve up a delicious meal at a business meeting, or have a special gathering with friends but don't have time to cook it yourself, then this is the place to buy it at. If you love shopping in the suburbs then you will enjoy the great offerings at this Plum Market.

Yelp
This market has a lot of very good ready made food and lovely bakery. I went in and bought a chocolate cheesecake ($6.50) that was thick, rich and delicious, and could have been easily shared between 2 people, which it was. Also bought 2 boxes of freshly made sushi which were also delicious, Icelandic bottled water, a small cup of broccoli and cheese soup, soup crackers ($0.49) and a couple of cans of other drinks each about $2.50 - $2.99. My final bill came out to about $54, which is expensive. So I would say The Plum Market rivals Erewoh supermarket that is more known out on the west coast. Because of its expensive pricing it is not a place I would normally shop with chocolate bars costing $11.99 and 7oz chip bags on sale for about $4.00! It is perfect for freshly made food. Next time I'm in town I will just go out to dinner because you don't save any money at this supermarket, but it is a nice shopping experience. If you have money to waste or are just treating yourself to the experience because you're in town for a day or two, then go to the Plum Market. It is clean and has a nice shopping ambience. Cashier service was friendly. I give it 3 stars because of pricing.

Yelp
I must say I love coming here! They have a good inventory from body products, flowers, sweets, wines to hot and cold foods! A great variety! Unique finds you would not find at an average store. It is great to come and just look and browse, you won't be disappointed! It is on the pricier side but it is high quality product !!

Yelp
Beautiful Produce, All departments are Merchandised like an Art Gallery ~ Floral department is fresh and full! I love the difficult to find Merch like SEE'S Candy and they have Organic Every Category! A++

Yelp
This place is amazing for very rarely found gourmet foods. Unfortunately, the prices are beyond steep. If you are seeking upscale products, this is your spot. I bought store made turkey lasagna. It's my own fault for not checking the price on the bottom. After arriving home, I discovered that I had paid 26$ for 2 pieces!!! Amazing quality foods, but not within the realm Of most shopping experiences.

Yelp
I've been inside a couple times if I need a quick snack and don't have much time to spare. It's a great location filled with amazing upscale food! The service here is very welcoming and the energy seems very peaceful. With this being said, don't be surprised to see an uptick in prices when you roam around the market. It's sort of like a Westborn Market, just with a different name.

Yelp
Quick update to say they now have their own website with delivery and curbside pick up options. There's no charge for pick up, which has been saving us some money on our recent grocery orders. They're fully stocked, the quality is great, and your shopper will text you if they have any issues fulfilling your requests. I was able to ask my shopper for something I couldn't find on their website and she was able to scoop it up for me and add it to my order. Drive up is easy. Just let them know via the button in your confirmation email or call them when you arrive. Pop the trunk and you're on your way! Very grateful for this option!

Yelp
Went in briefly to gather a few groceries during this upswing in pandemic time. All staff were wearing masks and most customers were as well however staff were not as cognizant of the need to step aside to let customers go by. Guess they must believe since they are masked they don't need to allow any distance. So I had to make some longer trip down other isles to get around clusters of staff. The produce is always very fresh the meat looked great. I bought some lovely trout. Prices are high, but we know that about Plum. Scallops are up to $50 a pound. They were lovely looking scallops but I did pass at that price point. There is a great selection of wine however now that Total Wine is in town you can probably get a better deal there and get have a wider selection there. Plum has very knowledgeable staff who have helped They carry the Zingerman's bakehouse products. They have a lovely breads, coffee cakes and cookies. And the cheese selection is off the charts! Really a good place to get items for your charcuterie board. A great place for seafood, veg, bread and cheese. Everything is top quality.

Yelp
Plum Market is what I consider the Gold Standard of safety and cleanliness in the face of the surging number of coronavirus cases throughout our country. It is one of several upscale grocery markets in town that has long been recognized for its focus on fresh and organic. Now, I'm glad to be able to add safety to that list of Plum's noteworthy traits. I stopped in as the store opened this morning while the number of coronavirus cases is spiking in our state. Walking up to the entrance wearing my gloves and mask, I was super pleased to see a store associate disinfecting every grocery cart after use and a group of available carts that had already been disinfected. What a thoughtful and safety-minded touch. Once inside, the store's cleanliness, discipline and organization was immediately apparent. Plum Market has got their act together at this stressful time when customers are looking for exactly this kind of reassurance of safety. Plum also has a small Zingerman's Cafe embedded in the store for coffees and baked goods, an extensive wine department, salad and olive bars, a floral section and their popular Plum Kitchen where many kinds of delicious foods are expertly prepared to take home. Best of all are the outstanding associates who are part of the Plum team. They are universally friendly, caring and most helpful in providing every shopper with an enjoyable experience...even during these stressful times of the pandemic. Plum stands as the Gold Standard - 5 shiny stars.

Yelp
I placed a $100+ order for delivery for someone recovering from surgery. Plum Market went through the motions of accepting the order and charging me for it, but an hour before delivery said that "technical problems" made it impossible for them to deliver it. If I wanted to, they said, I could drive over and pick it up. But of course, if they had looked at the order details they would have realized that I live in Boston and the delivery was for Ann Arbor--so the offer was hollow and ridiculous. They offered no other delivery alternative. So I cancelled. Having been to one of the stores on a recent visit to Ann Arbor, I know its reputation for high cost. (I remember seeing Philadelphia cream cheese for $5.99 when it was 1/3 of that price at a nearby Kroger.). I assumed that, excepting the cream cheese, their high prices would translate into high quality and great service. I was mistaken. I was trying to send a nice gift, assuming that as a high-end store Plum Market would be exactly the right kind of place for it. Ultimately I was disappointed because (1) they let me down, (2) they didn't try and solve the problem, (3) it looks like they have high prices and low quality service. None of these things are good. I won't be going back.

Yelp
Everyone that says Plum Market is expensive is totally right. But they carry high quality produce, fish, meat and their selection of local goods is fantastic. I was so impressed! Even more impressive? Their wine selection and pricing. It seems like they give the wholesale price on wine. From the produce to the wild caught seafood and delicious imported cheeses, Plum is 5-stars in my book.

Charles A.

Yelp
Love this store, the floral designer and the floral department is by far the best in the area. Also love the large selection of Michigan Made products.

Mar A.

Yelp
Always love the food and quality The fruits are so fresh. The vegetables are delicious and they have a big selection of cheese

Yelp
high prices, but the floral department is AMAZING. best flowers that last a long time! i heard quite a bit of the flowers are locally sourced, as well.

Yelp
I'm not sure what was more over-inflated here: the prices or the patrons! I mean $6+ for some damn grapes?! Don't get me started on their prepared foods either. With an average of $10/sandwich and $11/lb for mediocre hot bar items, you're likely to go broke. Same goes for the basics like milk, eggs, and bread. And the people that shop there- gee whiz! I've never seen so many ambitious retirees in one place. I had one ride my coattails as I was unbuckling a toddler, while another honked at me while loading the same toddler into a cart because it was blocking "his" parking spot. Eff this joint. I'll be at Fresh Thyme if you need me.

Yelp
I have to say I wasn't super impressed with this location. At first when I walked in to the the produce was the best looking department so I had high hopes. They had nice looking fruits and vegetables which I thought were way overpriced but you do expect to pay more than a ragu list chain store but still thought it was overpriced. I purchased a few things then went to the meat department and this is where I really had a problem. I thought the meat in the counter looked old but they were charging too dollar still. If I'm going to pay that much for meat I want it fresh so I passed on that. I did find some prepackaged fish (Sole) that was already seasoned and ready for the oven and that was amazing. They had a pretty good variety of different items you don't find at your regular chain stores so that was nice. I would probably go back for a few items that I tried and cannot find elsewhere, the fish being one of them. They also had these blue and brown eggs that were very good. All in all it wasn't a great experience but wasn't awful either.

Margaret H.

Yelp
Excellent meat, seafood and baked goods. Great wine selection and very helpful staff.

Deborah F.

Yelp
Produce selection is excellent and fresh. The freshly-baked breads are lovely. I enjoy browsing, and often get more than I need. Great service! Lovely smaller store.

Yelp
If Whole Foods is dubbed 'Whole Paycheck' then Plum Market is more like 3/4. Despite this, I think growing up exposed to such wonderfully stocked places like this could lull locals into a sense of banality and not realize that the privilege exists. Consider where I currently live in Southern California: Riverside. Aside from being a "sanctuary city" the demographics of the region cannot sustain stores like Plum Market or Whole Foods. Therefore, the nearest locations are in LA and Orange Counties, easily an hours' drive on a good day. This entails bringing a cooler and buying ice to protect your investment. As a former insider turned outsider, I am delighted to be able to browse the store and buy things, albeit not cheap, but more than acceptable when I only had to drive one mile to get it, not a 110 mile round trip. To me it is frivolous to complain about prices when quality is so closely concentrated. What I love? My pictures only tell half the story, but having a Zingerman's outlet is exactly the privilege I referred to above. Where in LA can you get a bagel of equivalent quality? In sixteen - years I have not found any place anywhere close. Maybe LaBrea Bakery sourdoughs you to death, but farm bread? Nowhere I have seen, just pale imitation. The coffee selection alone is my top pick, followed by the cheese shop and bakery. Produce is good for a one-stop shop, and other dairy items are fairly standard national brands although considered healthier. Ultimately, I would be delighted to have a Plum Market nearby in California. I think creature comfort creates complacency and it took moving out of my hometown to obtain fresh eyes and clarity. Pricy? Yes. Necessary? Mostly. Overall, I deem the diverse offerings at Plum Market to be worth the cost. If it becomes too familiar I can see why people nitpick in their reviews, but what would you do to find such quality and variety under one roof if this store, Arbor Farms and Whole Foods didn't exist in Ann Arbor? Think about that.

Yelp
Love the selection of top-quality meats, produce, deli, baked goods. If you drink alcohol the selection of specialty (and local, too) liquor and beer is spectacular. It is (very) expensive to shop at Plum--some people buy basics elsewhere and fewer items at Plum. They have a cut flower shop that stocks more unusual stems, and a See's candies shop inside the store--great for a last-minute host's gift (or self-treat, heheh). The quality is better than Whole Foods and far more consistent. Staff are really nice; not obsequious or fake--but knowledgeable + helpful folks. What I do not like: 1/2 of the patrons. Entitled and pushy (aggressively push past/into you and then selfishly block an aisle yakking on the phone), horrible, spoiled kids in-tow, truly mean people (who likely think they are the soul of kindness). I feel for the staff having deal with these monsters day in/out. COVID has emboldened these rude people, alas.

N A.

Yelp
Most of Plum Market's food is okay, although it's definitely overpriced. Today, however, I met a "Housemade" food that was simply disgusting. I had occasionally looked at their Spanikopita but never tried it until now. It's $16 for two good-sized rectangles, and it certainly **looks** delicious. Unfortunately, not only is it bad spinach pie, it's actually disgusting. I ate half of one the pieces and plan to throw the rest out. Whoever made this apparently has no idea that spinach pie can actually be yummy.

Yelp
I love local mini chains and fancy organic grocery stores and Plum Market its that bill. The people are very nice and actually like working there which is always great to see and support. I saw the rack with reduced bakery items and got excited at being able to get Zingerman's Pies at half off. $20, so I'll only pay $10 I shouted full of excitement and started filling up the cart till the friendly worker said those prices are already half off. Back the $20 Pies went on the shelf and I left Plum Market with $6 Cupcakes that tasted good but can be found better at other Cupcake shops up the street.

Yelp
Fabulous fresh foods. Salad, soup, and olive bars to pick up a quick snack. Try their fresh made lunch or dinner to go just don't come to hungry, it won't be easy to choose what to eat.

Yelp
My god, I went to Plum market yesterday and just bought a few things and then later saw my receipt in an email. My total was just about 60 bucks and I thought that seemed way too high...then I looked. A regular sized container of mushroom soup was 12.99, a chicken shawarma which wasn't even very good was priced at 21.99, more expensive than a better meal at a restaurant served hot. They are ridiculously, outrageously overpriced. I just can't go there anymore.

Larry M.

Yelp
This may be the only store in town that makes Whole Foods look like a bargain. Purchased fresh figs at $6/8 oz that looked great when I bought them, but went moldy the next day. Replaced with much better figs at less than $6 a pound from Whole Foods. Plum has nice stuff at outrageous prices.

Jaime C.

Yelp
Simply one of the best supermarkets in all of Ann Arbor. It is expensive but you can expect quality every time.

Alan W.

Yelp
Best super market of all time! Food is very organized and well kept making everything easy to find. You will find the nicest people in there when it comes to shoppers and employees. Food is fresh and of the best quality. 10/10 would recommend.

Dillon M.

Yelp
Really impressed by the service and assistance from all employees. Was especially appreciative of the employees on the floor that helped me find exactly what I needed. Some of the products they have, you can't get anywhere else! Truly made my shopping experience that much more enjoyable.

Yelp
Nice place. Great floor management. Owners are douche bags. Also. Who runs out of plums at a spot called Plum Market?
google avatar

Yelp
These guys went above and beyond on my request to carry a local made in MI product: Srodek's Pierogis! They agreed to carry them, let me know when they'd be in store - and when they were in! Great job, great service and communication!

Michael F.

Yelp
best grocery store for students. the best staff ever. I LOVE PLUM MARKET! Best prices and the best selection.

Yelp
I CANNOT say enough good things about Plum Market. What an amazing grocery store. YES, it is way too expensive to just do your regular grocery shopping here. That's not really Plum Market's point though. It exists for those smaller shopping trips where you just want to get those high quality items- fresh upscale meats, a huge wine selection, organic snacks, and healthy yet still crazy good prepared foods. Pro tip: Tuesdays and Saturdays are nacho bar days. I only shop here on those days so I can get dinner with my other grocery needs.

Yelp
I keep stopping at Plum Market while driving through Ann Arbor on road trips across michigan. Its like a magnet for me. Huge parking lot and easy access to 14 + 96. I'll take the excuse to have a well-rounded meal rather than that greasy burger from the drive-thru that I'll regret a minute later. Stopping at an organic grocery store is the antidote to fast food. This place really delivers with a hot bar and salad bar, cafe, florist, the works. Want to pick up a gift? There are plenty of chocolates and goodies here. Granted I'm not a local who shops here for groceries. But I will tell you I've had some wonderful quick meals here. Thank you Ann Arbor for having such a gem of a grocery store. It's a small regional chain in Michigan. Better than whole foods in my opinion.

Gerry C.

Yelp
Plum is excellent all around, but their strengths include cured meats, cheeses, liquor/mixers, and produce.
google avatar

Liz W.

Yelp
Overpriced and a tad pretentious but good service and generally terrific goods. I would not make this my primary grocery even if I lived closer but if you shop the sales you will enjoy it here. For what it is it works. Lots of happy cheese, wines, meats, breads and pastries. Things where quality matters. I love the sales after 8 pm, great for people who work late against their will. This place rocks if you pay attention to the circulars, are open to buying on a bit of a whim and have no issue with an occasional splurge. There are deals to be had but there will be something that is too spendy but you will buy anyway. You will not be able to resist. Service is great, people are friendly as a general rule. It definitely a secondary type market for my budget. I would never do all my shopping here. For what it is though, its very nice. Take advantage of the deals sometime and see what else you find. It is worth a whirl.
google avatar

Stephanie R.

Yelp
I love this store. I get my essentials at Target, Aldi, Kroger, but for specific items that I can't find, I go here. I also love the hot/cold food bar area, it helps with last minute lunch, dinner, small gatherings, pot luck ideas.
google avatar

Beth H.

Yelp
I like this place to find off the wall organic stuff, and specialty cheeses, but don't dare touch the produce, or prepared foods. I suggested to have lunch here with my dad, as a healthy alternative to fast food. He bought two pieces of BBQ chicken (leg and thigh) rang up $10. In what screwed up world do two pieces of dark meat justified $10?! They should have a scale out and prices marked so people can get an idea of how much they are getting. He also got 1/2 c of lamb stew in a box, and that was $5.50. Think about how much 1/2 cup is. He just wanted to try it. Looked good. But for that price, it's riduclous! Cup of soup, can of soda, and a dessert. Just for his order, rang up $28+ ! He was not happy and made for an uncomfortable situation, because he can't put it back. they do have a reasonable price on olive oil, but that's the only thing I have found there.
google avatar

Beck E.

Yelp
I've been here several times over the last few years and just don't see what the big deal is. This is really not the grocery store to shop at if you are on a budget, even if you do take advantage of the 10% off coupons that come in the mail. More recently, I came here looking for some medium shell whole wheat pasta and was a little surprised that the whole wheat pasta selection was so small. There were plenty of gluten-free options though, so if you're gluten sensitive, this might be a good place to get your pasta fix. They do seem to have a nice wine/fancy beer selection, but I'm not really into that.
google avatar

Brian S.

Yelp
Yes, it's expensive, but the stuff is top notch. Live the Good Life by getting essentials at Aldi across the street, then treat yo' self here.
google avatar

Angelica N.

Yelp
Super clean and organized store. Food in the market is amazingly displayed, and tastes as good as it looks. Lighting is amazing. The hospitality was pretty good, and I loved the mixture of things that were there. They are a little bit higher priced, compared to your "average joe" store, but it's honestly worth it. There is mostly all natural products, and definitely recommend for vegans and veggetarians.

Yelp
Don't get to the west side often, but when I do, I often manage a stop at Plum Market. True, sometimes it seems like Plum's main function is to make Whole Foods look cheap, but its produce, meat, spice and ingredient section, beer and wine offerings, and prepared foods section justify the extra expenditure. Usually. Plum Market may not have the largest produce selection in town, but I can find many common and not-so-common items there reliably (unlike at Whole Foods or Busch's, where produce tends to be now-you-see-it, now-you-don't)--I have never yet failed to get any greenage that I needed. The beer and wine selection is fantastic (bigger than at many rival stores), and often there are some very good deals on wine. Plum has a wide array of single beers so you can try some of those exotic craft beers before taking the plunge on a six pack. The range of ethnic spices and other ingredients also surpasses many of its rivals, and when I make a trip specifically to Plum, it's for some of those. The bulk bins, unfortunately, pale in comparison to those at WF and Arbor Farms, due to high prices as well as limited selection. As for the prepared foods bar...a bit steep at $8.99/pound but the quality of the food is very good. I usually go for the spicy stuff and the Indian and Thai curries I've eaten there might not have matched those of the best restaurants, but they didn't leave me feeling cheated either. And it must be said--the samples they put out on weekends ROCK! Plum will be opening a store near me later this year and I can't wait, even though my grocery bill is going to rise.

Yelp
The Maple Road Plum Market is my neighborhood market. They have a lot of same things or types of things that Whole Foods offers. It's not perfect but their staff is always friendly and helpful. They're definitely more expensive than other grocers but that's the consequence of being such a small company. I'm not rich by any means but I shop there regularly. If you shop there often you get coupons and perks that drive the cost way down. Literally, below what it would cost at Whole Foods. Plus, they have flash sales on various items during the week that you can get texted to you. The Maple Road location has a great selection of local and regional items and I really enjoy their meat and fish markets. The selection of cheese, wine, and beer is also really good. The wine staff is particularly knowledgeable and helpful. I've been in a number of times and just told them what my dinner plans were and asked them to suggest something to pair. They've always done a great job. And, when I'm not cooking or I need a snack, the hot bar is a good option. Great olives. And samosas, my go-to. I'm always a bit puzzled by the negative reviews for Plum Market based on the cost alone. It has 6 locations. That's it. Whole Foods is definitely going to be cheaper (especially after the Amazon purchase) because they are an international grocer. I agree that some of the exact same things are cheaper at Whole Foods and other large retailers. But, it doesn't take a degree in economics to understand that when you're that large you can absorb more and drive your prices down. Bottom line, if you want it cheaper, you should definitely go somewhere else. Whole Foods is a great option but, if you're on the west side of Ann Arbor and you don't want to drive all over town to get some quality stuff, Plum is great.

Alex K.

Yelp
If I could describe this place in three words it would be: pretentious, overpriced, ridiculous, and a racket. Oh wait, that's four. I could keep going? Plum Market makes Whole Foods look like Save-A-Lot, and most of the stuff on the shelves are things you can find in ANY grocery store. Sure, there are specialty items, but the majority of the store is popular brand name items marked up 50%. A pasta I buy at Target for $2.99/box is... (I hope you're sitting down) $9.99 FOR ONE BOX OF PASTA at Plum Market. It actually saddens me that this place stays in business and people choose to pay 3x the price for things they can find much much much cheaper at Whole Foods. And also, you might expect that the clientele of this establishment to be rude, snobby, and unaware of the peasantry around them. And, my friend, you would be spot on. Be prepared to have rude patrons blatantly stand in the middle of the aisles, shoulder bump you without acknowledgement (because after all, you were breathing THEIR air), and give you a stank face for just simply being within 3 feet of their luxury bag. TLDR: don't shop here. Not worth it. I can't even afford to breathe their air. I gave two stars cause it's clean and the deli guy was super cute and smiled.

This is a magnificent market. Not too big and not too small. Unlike Meijer, I don't feel that I have to run a marathon just to do my grocery shopping. The wine and beer selection rivals many liquor stores in town. You get what you pay for. If you want topline products and want to run with the big dogs, come here. If you want to run with the small dogs, stay home with your Chihuahua! Enjoy!

Yelp
How I love this store! Their prepared foods are outstanding and I especially like their prepared vegetables, turkey meatloaf, and sandwiches. Their produce is first rate. And they carry many Zingerman's bakery items as well. The staff have always been courteous and helpful to me. Yes, it is expensive but I know that I am paying for top of the line quality. My favorite grocery store in Ann Arbor!

Yelp
Plum Market is a convenient grocery store in the westside of Ann Arbor. It has a diverse selection of produce, packaged foods, and prepared foods, and a decent selection of local products and label those products so you know they're from nearby. In general I find people there quite friendly and helpful when looking for something. The biggest drawback to Plum Market is the price tag. It's pricier than Whole Foods with no better quality. If you're on the westside of Ann Arbor and are looking for a specialty grocery store and willing to pay the price, Plum Market is a great option. Otherwise, check out other nearby options, like Arbor Farms or Kroger.

Yelp
giving you ONE star because you manipulated your customers on the 50% off See's candy coupon. NO PLACE on your coupon did it state that the coupon was good on only prepackaged See's candy. you threw that at us when you got us to the store. i specifically came for candy out of the candy case. Know a lady that came from lansing for a pound of one flavor out of the candy case. we should all band together and boycott Plum. See's will provide free shipping at the holidays and can order for a third less money than Plum charges. only reason plum is discounting so much is because all the packages i picked up expired in 30-75 days. SHAME ON YOU!

Yelp
The local Plum Market in Ann Arbor is a real plus for the area. Granted, they are expensive in general, but when they place items on sale, they do a good job..and the items themselves...are always top quality higher-end products. If you are shopping for wine...this is the place. Domestics and imports...there's a huge display and sale priced well. I look for the sales, plenty of opportunities to try new wines, but the old reliables, whether from France, Italy, Spain, etc., are always there within every budget.

Yelp
I made my first trip to Plum Market Saturday to do instacart shopping, all the employees were very helpful and courteous. They all had on gloves and maskes. You guys made my trip wonderful. I made two more trips within a couple hours. Two thumbs up, thankyou so much!!
