Google
Great hot food at breakfast, mediocre hot food at lunch/dinner. Today I had dinner but I’ve had breakfast a few times and I’ve taken their sandwiches to go. If you’re looking for Michigan stuff to give to friends and family, this place has fun options. Much better options than the michigan gimmick stores. Plum market and Zingermann’s are both Michigan owned. This is -not- cheap food, but both places in Ann Arbor (and some other Detroit metro areas) are not cheap- they’re known as specialty deli/bakery/coffee and grocery store. This is the best place if you’re looking for healthy snacks, and they’re much more likely to have gluten free selections, etc. It’s very forward with all the ingredients, macros, and potential dietary concerns (including carbs). It has healthy snacks / fancy /gourmet candy. They have gum, mints, soda, and water (the three I pick up at Hudson News). It also has seating, with plugs and a bar across the back. Coffee shop has a separate checkout than the rest of the food. As for hot food dinner, today, this salmon was not good. That’s on me partially, but considering the main entree for $28 hot food with 2 sides is hard, dry salmon, definitely not great. The sides of cavatappi Mac and cheese were fantastic and I was able to grab a skim milk. This is not the store for everyone, but it fills a niche for an airport otherwise full of chain places.

Google
Wonderful little gem for those who need gluten free or other allergy accommodations on the go at the airport. All the prepared items have little signs indicating what allergies they accommodate, including gluten free. They have a really nice sized yummy gluten free breakfast sandwich that Cole helped me make sure was celiac safe. Went above and beyond to check with the manager, chat about it, and do a couple extra steps to make sure I felt safe with it. (And for a *gluten free* sandwich, it was a good price, too!)

Google
Great, local food option! We had their breakfast burrito 🌯 (which was warmed to perfection) and an outstanding artisan turkey chipotle sandwich. Excellent to have heathy, fresh food options at the airport.

Ana Correa

Google
Great stop at the airport. Food was well made and the coffee a well suited pick-me-up to endure the flight. Special shout out to Ozzie who went out of his way and made sure we were content with our order. It made a great start to our day.

Carol Laske

Google
Food was barely warm, prices on a revolving board that took 3 rotations to see most of it. So, now sure what I was ordering or how much I’m paying. Paid $17.00 for eggs, potatoes and biscuit - no meat- but was charged for a meal with meat!

Google
The cashier there named Morgan J had a disgusting attitude. She was extremely rude and didn’t even acknowledge me. Couldn’t bother to look up at me. She was too busy shopping on amazon on her phone. Head down entire time 😒. Treated white customers somewhat decently but was clearly disrespectful to me, a woman of color. It was blatant discriminatory behavior. And it appears I’m not the only person who’s had a horrible experience with this woman/place based on other reviews. It’s not hard to treat others with respect. Especially if you work in customer service. Truly depressing if you need to be glued to your phone 24/7.

Google
The photo shows ~1/2 of my side of Brussels sprouts uneaten: much as I tried, with good teeth & a strong will, only a goat could have chewed these. The sauce on them was interesting, rather heavy on sugar, which may explain the fruit fly. Fish tacos were acceptable. 3 cheese mac was good.

Shawn Cecelia

Google
Way too expensive, even for airport food. $8.00 for 8 waffle fries!!! And they were kinda cold. Kale Brussels Sprout salad was fine.

Mark L.

Yelp
Stopped in for coffee and a croissant before my flight. The coffee was good. The croissant was meh (sad for Zingerman's ). The baked items are just not fresh enough for the Zingerman's brand in my opinion. This Plum market at the center of the Delta (McNamara) terminal is my go-to for coffee when I am flying Delta out of Detroit. It is not the disaster that is an airport Starbucks. The ladies normally working the coffee/bakery are usually friendly, which is nice in an airport. The market has several areas, one of which is the coffee/bakery. There is a small counter with chargers to sit and work. Everything is priced on the high side, of course.

Josh B.

Yelp
I'm not really a fan of airport food or salads, and became more skeptical when I saw the Zingerman's name used (they're a legendary deli but I don't think their coffee's famous). But the Michigan Salad did the trick; I didn't have time or interest in a full lunch but wanted something given the many hours until my final destination. There were myriad lettuces (Heathers callback). The names tango and batavia might mean more to you than me but it was delightfully iceberg-less. The dried cherries and blue cheese had a fine sweet-and-salty duet.

Yelp
Plum Market is a casual restaurant that has locations in certain states. This particular location is inside the Detroit airport. While my husband and I waited for our flight, we ate lunch here. The line of customers was long, and the employees served us at a moderate pace. Some tables and chairs were available. I picked out the kale-brussels sprouts salad, which I rate as 4 stars, and the vegan bahn mi, which I rate as 1.5 stars and threw away. My husband thought that his ham-cheddar sandwich and his chicken-tenders combo tasted OK, perhaps 3 stars and 4 stars, respectively. I did appreciate that some healthier foods were available. Including these four foods and two bottled beverages, our total bill was $67, which we thought was high for the quality.

Yelp
My favorite place to stop in the DTW airport. There's so much variety here in one spot: a full bar that serves local craft beer; a coffee bar that serves pastries, baked goods, and deli sandwiches; a carving station that serves hot entrees, including vegan choices; and plenty of grab-and-go packaged snacks and drinks. Everyone is always so friendly here. Liz and Hannah behind the bar recognize their regulars and are great conversationalists. But they'll also leave you alone if you just want to sit and not talk. There is plenty of seating to eat, drink, or just hang out. Convenient location in terminal A means you can stop in, grab what you crave, and get to where you need to be before boarding.

Chloe F.

Yelp
After a less than stellar experience at Andiamo's we headed to Plum Market to actually eat and the bartender was 100 times better (efficient, friendly, and not high lol). Unfortunately the breakfast bar has milk or butter in basically everything, but the grab and go items are clearly labeled and can be purchased at the bar and eaten there which is nice. Seating has never been a problem for me there, which is great because it's pretty limited. Not necessarily a 5 star experience, but given the choices in that terminal, it is lol.

Yelp
This "market" is a wildly overpriced (even for an airport) scam. It is strategically placed on a stretch of DTW airport where there is nothing else but fast food for 30+ minutes walking. The space is occupied by sad looking hot food and salad bars, refrigerators of drinks and prepared foods, and a large selection of healthy-ish snacks. Hungry and desperate to find anything of nutritional value at this airport (even the Starbucks did not serve sandwiches), I opted for a Vegan Banh Mi. A difficult sandwich to mess up, I thought. It was $20, and easily the most disgusting thing I have consumed in the past 10 years. The bread was stale and mealy, the tofu bitingly sour, and the lettuce limp and moldy on some parts. Avoid at all costs. If you have to fly via this airport, pack a lunch.

Ann W.

Yelp
Finding good eats while traveling is sometimes a challenge. But not at this airport. I have several go-to spots here, including Plum Market, which sells breakfast pastries (croissants, muffins, scones), sandwiches, and various snacks (chips, granola bars, etc). In the past, if I'm short on gifts, I might even stop here for a 4-pack of brownies for friends I'm en route to visiting. Today, I was looking for breakfast. The scone looked yummy but I remembered they had sandwiches at the opposite counter. I was all set to get one until the biscuits called my name. They were part of the breakfast platter: you select from one of three egg options; sausage or bacon; toast or biscuits, and garlic potatoes. The bacon and flaky biscuits were particularly enjoyable. There was so much food that I didn't need lunch. On another occasion, I had some breakfast pastries. The chocolatine, baked by Zingerman's, was flaky, buttery, and rich. I enjoyed every bite as I waited for my flight. The cranberry orange muffin topped with brown sugar was flavorful. I liked the sweetness of the muffin punctuated with the tart cranberry pieces. The staff here was very kind and friendly. I so appreciated it during the typical stressful airport experience.

Yelp
Not sure if hiding prices for half the things in your deli case is a new marketing strategy, but it alienates customers and makes people not want to order. This should be fixed. Prices for salads and sandwiches in the case were nowhere, not on the digital board or the individual item's tags. When I asked where I could see the prices for these items, I was told some prices are on the board. Not shit, I can see that. They're not the prices for the items I'm asking about.

Raghad ..

Yelp
like an erewhon dupe. the cauliflower was so good, i've never had it cooked that way and no matter how many times i try to make it at home, it doesn't taste the same. the mac and cheese was also good and the shrimp tacos (besides the sauce idk what it was) was also so flavorful. it was $20 so a little expensive but i would so pay it again.

Katherine H.

Yelp
Saved the day when we needed some healthy food!! Thank you for the salmon!! A bit pricey but nice change from nasty fried food

Dana S.

Yelp
I needed to grab a quick meal during a very short layover at DTW and I was really excited to see that the airport has a Plum Market. I went to a Plum Market in the Dallas Fort Worth Airport and I didn't realize it was a national thing. If you want to eat a tasty, healthy, and satisfying meal and don't have the time or patience to do a table service restaurant, this place is a godsend. They have refrigerated sandwiches and salads for grab and go and a hot food counter. The usual packaged snacks are also sold here. Good vegan options. They were out of a few things when I got there (7 pm) but a decent selection still remained. I got a vegan squash and cauliflower curry combo plate with brussels sprouts and corn salad ("Corn O'Brien") as my sides. The sprouts may have been a little undercooked, but I have no other complaints about any of the items. The sprouts made up for the extra crunchiness by being cooked in this delicious tangy and slightly spicy glaze/sauce. It was overall a really good meal that I would've been happy and excited to eat even outside of the airport. The guy serving the hot food seemed impatient with me and other customers, but the cashier was nice. The wait times, from getting in line order to getting the food, and then in the line to pay, were not long. It probably took me less than 5 minutes longer to get hot food from here than it would have to just grab something from the fridge at a newsstand. My meal was $19 (before tax) which is a fair enough price to pay for this sort of food in the airport context.

Christine B.

Yelp
Hands down best airport food and drinks. Easy in and out. Solid wine selection. If you order food at the counter, you can pay for all it together at the bar. I usually grab snacks and gifts on the way out. Also, generally speaking the staff here is more attentive than at other airport restaurants and shops.

Remy G.

Yelp
PROS: - Large variety - Local items featured - Excellent pastries at the Zingerman's counter - Quick service and always bustling - Favorite pastry: Bostock, like an airy to-go French Toast with almonds - Favorite snack: Sour Michi-gummies CONS: - Can be a little pricey, but isn't every airport store?

Nicholas R.

Yelp
The hot food aka tacos and hot sides are sitting out under a heat lamp and were probabbly good when they were hot but when I got the carintas tacos they were luke warm and a disappointment. Brussels sprouts were very hard and lukewarm as well ... I get the airport is pricey but if I'm paying 21 bucks it would probabbly make sense to sit down for a few dollars more and dine somewhere else . The salmon a lady had next to us was good according to her. I'm sure the premade sandwiches are the way to go next time I'm going to bump them up one star because the lady working behind the deli counter was an absolute rock star .. she was multitasking like a pro (said she was was a mom of 5 kids) never seen anyone multitask quite as well as her in a food service environment.

Howard A.

Yelp
Amanda Cotton made a great americano coffee and was very pleasant ! Her boss ,Diane also should receive recognition .

DeMario M.

Yelp
Had a really terrible experience here today. Most of the restaurants in the airport are shut down right now due to a water issue in the City of Romulus. Plum Market is open and selling prepackaged products as well as wine/beer. The bartender was super rude when I tried to order. There were multiple people in the restaurant and another person ordering prior to me. She practically ignored me until another customer spoke up! I had a glass of wine but I didn't even finish it because I felt so uncomfortable.

Michelle M.

Yelp
My daughter wanted a plain sandwich rather than a premade and Ozzie cheerfully accommodated her. We had wonderful service that was fast and friendly.

F C.

Yelp
The woman working the food line was the most rude person I've ever met in food service. She was yelling at customers "WHAT DO YOU WANT" and throwing food around behind the counter. I don't know what was going on with her but she should've stayed at home in bed with her nasty attitude. So rude.

Briante P.

Yelp
I want to give a special shoutout to Tanisha. She is always friendly with beautiful customer service. I look forward to seeing her when I come in for breakfast; total sunshine.

Otis M.

Yelp
I was boarding at A34 which is right next to Plum and went in to grab a bite. My choices were not the best: I went to the cold prepared section on the left side and got a $12 tuna sandwich and a $12 Caesar salad. The tuna had already been in the case for 2 days and had 2 more days to go before the pull date according to the label. The tuna was ok but the greens had gone limp. The salad had soft bread cubes, not croutons, again because of that time in the case. But the solution to this is simple: buy over the counter opposite the cold case, where you can get a fresh hot entree with 2 sides for $20 vs the $24 I paid. And if you have a sweet tooth, check out the Zinger's counter at the opposite end of the store. My meal was 3 stars, but I can see it's possible to have a 5 star meal so I'm splitting the difference.

Century S.

Yelp
Airport food business owners don't care about the review, because people have no choice and they'll still successfully run their business anyway. But I had to review this place because it was a huge disappointment. I simply got a Chipotle chicken wrap. It was dry, chicken tasted disgusting and chewy, everything tasted bland and bad. I asked for extra sauce and they straight up told me they have it but they can't give it. So they handed me a side of ranch instead that had no flavor profile for the expensive bad wrap I got.

Jacquelyn S.

Yelp
Tanisha was great! best service I received in the entire airport. very happy and energetic.

Kurt S.

Yelp
While my mom and I were on a layover at the Detroit airport, I wanted to grab something to eat/drink. I stumbled upon Plum market. I ordered a couple breakfast sandwiches, which weren't that good. The lady getting the sandwiches was really slow and didn't seem like she wanted to be there. They tasted like reheated frozen sandwiches. The smoothies were good; even though I wish they used actual fruit instead of sugar mixes. Overall, a nice little c-store in an airport.

Nick J.

Yelp
Vegan options in the Detroit Airport! Got these from Plum Market. The tacos were fine, but were cold and stale. If they were fresh they would've been delicious. The cauliflower was really well flavored and seasoned. The french fries tasted like french fries. Still really expensive, but I was happy to grab something to eat other than chips before my flight. If it was all fresh and hot it would've been delicious! The different options available were labeled vegan which I greatly appreciate.

Lovester A.

Yelp
Exceptional Service given by Keira! She greeted me upon entering with a smile and assisted me efficiently. Awesome Service and Ambience.

Noah C.

Yelp
It is nice to have a place with vegetarian and vegan options. The food is overpriced above even high airport prices. Not sure if it is due to this place, but this was the last place I used my credit card before my number was stolen and used in fraudulent transactions two days later. Hopefully they haven't been hacked.

Abigail C.

Yelp
What an amazing experience here. Just landed at my layover and thought to give this place a try. Ms. T was such a sweet women. This was my first time here and she took good care of me. After having a taste of the Bang Bang Shrimp I couldn't resist. I had to get it. But my husband and I also tried the Chicken Salad and just had to get it as well. And the Kale Slaw was amazingly good. Definitely give this place a try.

Shevon M.

Yelp
Love this place. They leave no one out... except for carnivores maybe. If you are looking for something g sweet and a quick fix they have all types of everything for everyone. The employees are kind and welcoming. If ever in this airport again I will come back.

Bridget H.

Yelp
I came here for a quick beer during a layover. The service was incredibly slow but the bar tender was friendly. The food at plums market is okay. It's on the healthy side which is great, but it is on the pricier side. It's worth a stop for a beer and a healthy mean if you have a longer layover. This is a busy spot in the Detroit airport. They have a deli to get various items such as tacos or sandwiches. I've had their sandwiches on several occasions during layovers. They come on a hearty bread, but the lettuce is always soggy and slimy.

Tim C.

Yelp
I'm a big fan of Zinger man's and I've always looked forward to visiting Plum Market on my airport sprints between Terminals A and C. This last trip was a bit disappointing. There was something about the cheese, egg, bacon croissant that left me bursting it all morning. Also, when I got to the cashier, the bottle of Synergy Kombucha Mango turned out to be $10. It usually runs around $3.50 in most stores. I realize items cost more at airports, but to not show a price on the shelf, but leave you to find out the price at the cashier isn't a good business practice.

Stephen I.

Yelp
I had the scramble egg combo plate, I loved the potatoes but the eggs which looked fluffy and delicious, but it's lumpy and kinda off tasting needs some work but the toast and bacon were just alright

Annette B.

Yelp
Very convenient spot to pick up some food items and pre-packaged sandwiches. I was very pleased with my purchase here while I had some time to catch my next flight.

Kristin U.

Yelp
Plum Market was a slice of heaven in the airport. I'm gluten and dairy free, so being able to walk into a space with food and snacks I could enjoy in an airport was fantastic! I was there looking for a quick dinner, and had the Kale & Brussels Salad ($6) and a container of All Natural Mary's Grilled Chicken ($6). The salad was absolutely delicious; exactly what I wanted for a light meal pre-9 Hour flight. The chicken was pretty good as well, especially when I added it to the salad. Shout out to the helpful woman behind the counter at the salad / soup / meat bar who told me there was $6 chicken in the fridge behind me instead of letting me get the $12 chicken breast from her counter! That was so helpful. Portions were on the small side for the salad (the chicken was more than enough!) but decent enough for a light meal. I did almost go buy another one for later -- it was that tasty, and I would've bulked up the greens serving more for a real meal. Price point was airport markup average for most things. It wasn't super busy when I was there, and the counter could've gone a bit smoother (didn't seem to be much of a system or line to queue into...), but the fact that this place exists at all makes my life so much easier when traveling through DTW. I'll be back! 4-4.5 stars.

Andrea E.

Yelp
I'm giving 4 stars just for not having to wait in line at Starbucks! Not only a shorter line but a lot more options! Coffee, breakfast, a ton of snacks, and alcohol- all in 1 place!

Dayana V.

Yelp
The food was good but prices are outrageous, which comes to no surprise when dealing with airport food. I order the cauliflower tacos with Gouda Mac n cheese and roasted potatoes. That Mac n cheese was sooooo good I was prepared to spend even more money on a second serving lol.

Chris P.

Yelp
Nice spot for healthy/fresh foods in the McNamara Terminal! Grab and go, you can dine inside and there is also a full bar! I like coming here and just looking around!

Susan W.

Yelp
The Tuna Sandwich was pre made and soggy. I ended up eating half of it and threw the other half away. It was a $10 tuna sandwich! I was surprised because I have not shopped at Plum Market at the airport but I have shopped at their Ann Arbor locations and never had a bad experience. I also ordered a small serving of Honey Sriracha Brussels Sprouts. They were tasty. I would have preferred them a tad more cooked but that's a great way to fix Brussels Sprouts. if I ever decide to try the food there again I will definitely choose a hot sandwich or main course. The staffing was pretty slim. There was no one at the hot food section while I was reviewing the items they offered. A gentleman did step out and take my order. He advised me to pay for it around the corner and then let me know if there was no one there to go across to the other side of the restaurant/store to pay. There was no one at the three registers that were around the corner from the food so I did go across the store to the area where you can either buy snack type goods or goods out of a bakery case and I paid for my lunch there.

Katie A.

Yelp
Zingermans bread. Need I say more? One of the best places to eat in the airport. The sandwiches are premade, but you purchase them and then bring them back to the deli and they will toast them for you. The chicken salad sandwich was excellent. Service is nice here.

Doris M.

Yelp
I was shocked to find a large selection of healthy food. The chicken looked dry but it wasn't. The potatoes and mac and cheese was very tasty.

Royce L.

Yelp
Decent sandwich and coffee place in the airport. They make fresh paninni's and sandwiches as well as coffee, expressions and cappuccino. They also have pre wrapped sandwiches and fruit and a lot of other snacks as well. Beef jerky, nuts, protein bars etc. It can be a healthier option than he fast food.

Niki B.

Yelp
Best stop in the Detroit airport. Owned by a nice Detroit market located in their city, this mini market offers the best-looking baked goods in the airport, fresh fruit and unique snacks that I couldn't find anywhere else. There's even fresh entree items in a small counter too. It's pretty big and there were two separate cash registers - one more for the cafe sire, and one more for the meal side. Everywhere else between these two was filled with snacks. I got a grain muffin, banana and water, but there were tons of fun snacks like trail mixes and granola bars and chips I hadn't seen around!

Selene P.

Yelp
Food looked like was there for hours, got a bacon egg and cheese thinking at least it would be warm and fresher but it was soggy and bacon looked way darker than what it should.

Jesse A.

Yelp
Our flight was delayed and we had to stay at the airport for 9 hours . Not only is this place overly expensive the service was awful. They are so rude like if your not happy don't work there !!!! We asked for potato's ( which tasted horrible) and she said " I heard you" like uhm . Why is that necessary? $45.00 spent on two egg sandwiches and a potatoes . Swear to god everything went in the trash . They did not even clean the seating areas .

Mercedes V.

Yelp
Before saying goodbye to Michigan, I had to stop and check my favorite Plum Market. The food is almost the same as what they serve in Bloomfield Hills and West Bloomfield location. The food presentation invites you to grab a bite. The dining area looks amazing! I like the wooden tables. They offer fresh green salad, vegan, fruit bites and sandwiches. There is also cold pressed juices and of course, hot freshly brewed Zimmerman's Coffee of Ann Arbor. If you want to eat lite, there's fresh croissants and muffins for a small snack. If you are really hungry, there's Plum's signature hot soup, salmon and meat carvings. I feel like I'm still at the grocery, less the canned foods ;-) For the price, it's way higher at the Airport. The bar is top notch. I'm not an alcohol drinker, but the display makes me try a glass of wine before boarding to my flight! Forgot some sees candies and jerkies, don't worry because they sell it here ;-) I'm a bit biased but I give Plum Market a five star rating ;-)

Patrick S.

Yelp
Oh this was bad. This was like awful stale nasty and you could not tell until opened. People reviews are mixed... so maybe stick with what you can visually see. Nothing wrapped. Uhg - so yuuulchy! Have a good day.

Claudia K.

Yelp
I love that this Plum exists in the airport! In the past, if you were stuck at the airport, options were limited to bar food, fast food, or overpriced snacks. Here, you'll be paying those prices, but at least the quality is high, and there's a TON of variety. You can wait in line to order fresh food or deli options. In the morning they had bacon, breakfast burritos and breakfast potatoes. The deli case was already set with salads like curry chicken salad. On the other side of the shop, they had coffee and Zingerman's pastries (yum!). There was also a wide selection of grab-n-go sandwiches and salads. I went in the morning before an early flight, and I got steel cut oats with banana, walnuts and brown sugar. It was $6 -- on the high end for easy breakfast, but on par with what I was expecting to pay in the purgatory that is the airport terminal. I also got a cup of black coffee and a side of breakfast potatoes. The potatoes were pure garlic-butter goodness. The banana slices were a perfectly ripe treat. The coffee was 10x better than McDonald's (which I honestly don't hate). The staff was super friendly! I love that they have a variety of Zingerman's products that would make a great last-minute gift. I'm from Ann Arbor, and a Zingerman's fan, so it's fun to be able to grab some local goodies last minute. I hope the Detroit Airport adds MORE local businesses. Slow's To Go? Eh? Eh?

Karolina K.

Yelp
I guess that is one of the best choices of you consider that this is an airport. Had a breakfast there, scrambled eggs with a nice toasted bread, good thing is that I could replace the meat with organic oatmeal. The zingerman coffee was a disappointment, really I was expecting something better. The employee at the buffet counter less than average, she seemed to be bored and wasn't friendly at all. Definitely overpriced, but I guess that is the way airport food works.

Christina V.

Yelp
Truly - what a blessing! I love this spot inside of the McNamara terminal. When I fly anything but Delta, I'm always sad I won't be able to stop here. I probably spend the most time in the Detroit airport (especially this year), and this was such a great addition to this place. I don't eat fast food and I hate airport snacks, so having Plum Market (one of my favorite stores prior) available on a smaller scale is SO helpful. It is really expensive, but so is everything else at the airport. I wish the prices were more realistic (instead of $4.50 for a Larabar), but I can't look a gift horse in the mouth. I'm thankful for the organic and fresh options, as well as the little Zingerman's window! I love love looooooove Zingerman's coffee and sweets and it's great to have a last chance to snag something before I head back to Atlanta.
