Detroit’s Best Restaurants for a Delicious Lunch - Eater Detroit

"The Plum Market outpost inside the Henry Ford Pistons Performance Center has a vast variety of dining options with its impressive hot and cold food bar, where customers can build their own salads, pick out ready-made entrees like chicken pot pies, sandwiches, and sushi, and grab a quick beverage. There’s also a location downtown." - Serena Maria Daniels

Plum Market Opens in New Center With a Salad Bar and Cafe - Eater Detroit

"Plum Market is now soft open in New Center as it awaits a delayed liquor license. The second Detroit outpost of the metro area grocery chain is located at the base of the Henry Ford Detroit Pistons Performance Center at 670 Amsterdam St. This micro location spans 5,000-square-feet and features a salad bar, a Zingerman’s cafe, and other options for a fast lunch. There’s also a slightly more paired down selection of grocery and household items." - Brenna Houck

This location is a Plum Market Kitchen, not the larger Plum Market which is a grocery store. Every day is a new menu with hot food items and a salad bar. They also have pizza some days and premade sandwiches. The food is always excellent and made in house in their kitchen. They also offer a large selection of drinks and snacks and Piston's gear.

How is it even remotely beneficial to a community that already struggles with grocery store access to have such limited hours? Appalling.

This location is 💣💣💣! Been workin in midtown for nearly 10 years as an educator where long hours are spent at home preparing for instruction - so much so that you forget to cook a lunch for the next day (many times due to fatigue). And then Plum Market comes along with AMAZING quality food and a fair price and I've -- well, I've not stopped coming!!

Gorgeous Plum Market! I shop spend my money at Plum often (particularly in prepared foods), and this one is among the prettiest. It is around a developing neighborhood and will surely be one of the mainstays of the burgeoning area As a Pistons fan, the Championship Trophies (replicas?) Are an awesome touch to be just outside the entrance. Glad to see Plum expanding!

This is a much needed market in what would otherwise be considered a "grocery desert". It has numerous healthy options complimentary to an active lifestyle. Plum Market also has an extensive selection of alcoholic delights for those who want more international options for their gatherings and such. The floral department is impressive and sure to please people, especially those interested in leafier plants. While I understand that this is meant to be a "quick stop shop" I would have liked to have a larger fresh fruit/vegetable section...maybe to take some of the spaced hogged by the sparkling waters. Right now, if I were to buy vegetables they would be those prepared ones from the hot bar(I will admit, the string beans are delicious). Otherwise, thank you and welcome to New Center!

I'd like to say welcome to the neighborhood but, it seems this store didn't actually plan on being part of the New Center community. Maybe its a write off?? Not sure why it needs the aisles of wine & booze instead of fruits & vegetables....or that now they changed their hours for their hot food selections? After questioning the manager, it seems they are happy with supporting the people from the offices upstairs. M-F 12-2pm This is very disappointing but, a little funny because they obviously did NOT do their homework. (Its almost insulting to have them here)

Plum Markets are great gourmet/upscale stores. The demographics for the Pistons center is the thriving business community, not residents. I would guess that business hours will be revisted once a traffic pattern is established.

I live in the neighborhood and went there today to get some food. I was very annoyed to find out they are closed on weekends. How does it benefit the community to be closed on weekends? I work during the hours they are open during the week and I do my grocery shopping on the weekends. Completely pointless and I feel lied to.
