Just a huge shout out to the plumsteadville inn! I had my sisters 60th birthday party there on Saturday. Food and drinks were amazing Jess was our server and she was absolutely amazing!! Alway there to help! And Kiera who helped me plan the party was great!! Thank you all for making this day super specials for her!! And Making it so easy for me!

Charming and friendly! Loved the 1750s historical look of the Inn and restaurant. Staff was extremely warm and inviting. The food was delicious. I will definitely return for their plum pretzels and pecan pie cocktail alone!

We just spent 2 nights here this weekend in 2 suites for 2 couples. We all raved about this place all the way home back to upstate NY. From the food, to the accomodations, to the wonderful personal attention from all the staff! Jason was exceptional to be so accommodating since we showed up on the early side. He was a busy guy but always pleasant with all of us! We so appreciate his hospitality. The Saturday night dinner and music in the tavern was super! The best was Sunday Brunch with Santa, we had no reservation and sat at the bar .It was the biggest buffet I had ever seen! Prime Rib, to omelette station, chocolate fountain and everything in between! The staff was so friendly, they even remembered us from The 1st evening we were there! Loved this place rating 10++ we will be back for sure😍😍

Great experience overall. Spent the day at Peddler’s Village & New Hope. Checked into a very cozy room upstairs. Staff were super friendly and explained the history of the place. We did not have a reservation to eat in the restaurant but they were able to get us a table. Great food, excellent service, and good music. Only thing that I would comment on is the noise upstairs but that was mentioned when we booked. It was just a long day. We will be back!!!

Busy bar restaurant in a neat historic inn. Decent selection of beers, good appetizers and a variety of dinner choices.... & huge desserts. Attentive servers but they got to be too attentive and were working hard to get us out the door to turnover the table. Stay away on a Friday.

We just hosted a Surprise 50th Birthday party for our friend at The Plumsteadville Inn, and it was wonderful. The food was delicious, the overnight rooms were clean and spacious, the banquet room was amazing, and the customer service was exceptional. Jess, Bri and Gia were awesome. All 3 ladies were helpful, kind, and super knowledgeable and accommodating. I highly recommend this establishment for all your party, dining, and lodging needs.

If I were to rate this inn with the warm hospitable welcoming of Deni, I would give it a 10plus. On the other hand, Jason would receive a ZERO. He was abrupt, rude and annoyed at any question or inconvenience related to a problem. |The room itself was okay, although I did see debris on the sheets - were they changed? It was extremely noisy both nights of my stay. Dragging of chairs and tables to reset the conference room was a bit much after a long travel day and wanting quiet rest. |I saw other older reviews complained about the shower being hard to adjust and went from hot to ice cold. This problem was never fixed. |The restaurant was very good. Do try Deni’s amazing pretzels! The restaurant and events are definitely priorities over the guest rooms. I would not stay here again!

My wife and I recently moved to the area and have already become regulars at The Plumstead Inn. We’ve dined in twice and ordered takeout at least five times, including today. Our go-to order is the pretzels with cheese sauce—honestly, they’re like a bigger, better version of Auntie Anne’s pretzels—and the Southwest Flatbread, which never disappoints. The food is consistently amazing, but what really stands out is the service. Our hostess today was so sweet and professional. We had a $15 off takeout coupon from a welcome mailer, but she wasn’t able to apply it this time. She tried her best to make it work, and we appreciated her effort—no hard feelings at all, we’ll just save it for next time! The Plumstead Inn is a gem, and we can’t wait to keep coming back with friends and family. Highly recommend.

We booked our daughter's baby shower at Plumsteadville Inn and I'm delighted to say it surpassed our expectations in every way! When we arrived early to set up a few things, everything was in place and impeccably arranged - tables set, a gift table ready, special chair for the mom-to-be, cake table and one more table ready for our extras. (Even a basket near the mom chair ready for wrapping paper trash.) For the first half hour we had ordered a pitcher of mimosas to be ready and it was, set up with glasses & orange slices. The guests enjoyed that, draining it to the bottom. The buffet lunch was delicious, gaining approval from everyone including the great-grandma who attended. There was plenty of food for everyone, about 30 people in attendance: Caesar salad, chicken marsala, pasta with red sauce, green beans, roasted potatoes, soft drinks - all chosen from their catering menu, which had other delicious options as well. Afterwards plates of lovely cookies and cannolis with coffee and teas, brought to each table. I will make special mention of the wait staff - absolutely wonderful! One head waitress in charge (Linda) was top-notch, and others would rotate in clearing plates, filling glasses and always so very pleasant. I can't say enough great things about how accommodating they were. We had ordered a cake from a local bakery, which some restaurants won't allow but Plumsteadville was fine with it. When I asked Linda how to serve it, she said just tell me when you're ready and I'll take it out, cut it up and bring the individual plates in and serve it - which she did - made it so easy, I could sit and enjoy our guests. Near the end of the 3-hour event the waitresses even brought in take-home-containers so we and our guests could leave with some of the delicious still-hot buffet food, and desserts. We were in the Garden room, which has lots of big windows looking out on a nice patio and garden area, and is very tastefully appointed and near to the restrooms. I've eaten lunch and dinner many times at the Plumsteadville Inn and have never been disappointed, and now I can happily recommend them for first-rate service and food for their special events in the Garden room as well.

I visited for a Private event (wedding party) for my friend on Saturday. There was another event (bridal shower) at the first floor. There are a couple of separate event halls so it was very private and nice. The staffs were kind and friendly, but the bartender was super slow even though the open bar charges per hour. Hope there was another bartender because the total number of guests was over 100. All food was very good. The catering food was warm and fresh, it was refilled quickly, and had plenty of leftovers. We got chicken parmigiana, pork chop with mushroom and gravy, salmon, and steamed veggies and caeser salad. And bread and butter. The event went well overall, I recommend this place for a event venue.

My mom and I had an exceptional experience from start to finish. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the Street Corn Flat Bread, which was the best flat bread I've ever tasted. The flavors were perfectly balanced, with a delightful mix of sweet corn, tangy sauce, and a crispy crust that made each bite unforgettable. The mozzarella egg rolls were another standout. They were delicious and, unlike many other places, it was clear they used real mozzarella. The rich, creamy cheese was a delightful contrast to the crunchy exterior, making these egg rolls an absolute treat. The salmon was cooked to perfection, though I found there were too many onion strings on top, which slightly overwhelmed the dish. Nonetheless, the fish itself was flavorful and tender. The watermelon margarita was one of the freshest margaritas I've ever had. It had a vibrant, natural taste that was simply outstanding, making it a perfect complement to the meal. Our waitress, Brianna, was extremely pleasant and kind. She did her job very well, ensuring that our dining experience was smooth and enjoyable. Her attentive service added a personal touch that made our visit even more memorable. This was my first time here, and I can't wait to come back. The combination of delicious food, refreshing drinks, and exceptional service made it a wonderful dining experience.

What is going on? We love this historic Inn. The ambiance should be astounding. But, it is thwarted by an attempt to appeal to a nonexistent demographic. We brought our 90 year old dear friend and landlord here for dinner. She loves crab cakes. I chose the homemade chicken pot pie. My wife, a vegetarian struggled. Crab cakes: generous, but too much of something, upset her stomach. She threw out the take home portion. Chicken pot pie? Cracker Barrel is better. Crab fritters, very bad dough texture and flavor. Horrific. Grilled salmon, really not that bad. But, you can probably do better. Service? A very lovely experienced server asked to cover too many tables. Management is clearly the problem at this lovely, historic location.

The three of us stopped in for lunch after the soccer game on our way home. We ordered two lobster rolls and one smokehouse burger with boom-boom shrimp as an appetizer. Jenna D was our knowledgable waitress, but don't her ma'am! The lobster rolls were ok (we are comparing them to the Hotel Bethleum's lobster rolls) perhaps with a little too much mayonnaise. The burger was fine, however, as with many restaurants the hamburger bun gave up and ultimately was cast aside.

Only our 2nd time at the Plumsteadville Inn, but the experience was poor at best. I don't usually detail bad reviews, but for the benefit of their management, I'll explain my poor experience. We were on our way to an event and wanted a light meal. My wife's scallops salad was a losing gamble on a Monday. Scallops were not fresh, and the garnish was pretty much just cucumber skins. I had the grilled Chicken Cesar Salad and the chicken was very dry and loaded with the flavor of dehydrated garlic which usually stays long after the meal. It's a great looking place, but they need to pay more attention in the kitchen.

I've been to the Plumsteadville Inn on a few different occasions for baby showers, Sunday brunch, etc but just recently got the chance to have dinner there. First off, the restaurant has a bunch of different sections so if you want to have an event, such as a shower or a corporate lunch, there are rooms you can rent out. They have a room in the front, a bar area in the middle, and the restaurant is in the back. One shower I attended was in the front room, the other in the back. All the events I've been to there have been lovely, and the food, drinks, and service have been excellent. The building itself is very historical, and therefore the atmosphere is that of old world charm and colonial-era elegance. The building is beautiful, large, and well maintained on the outside, and cozy on the inside with alot of wood paneling. They do offer bed & breakfast style guest rooms as well for travelers. We started out with one of the appetizers on special, the fried mac and cheese bites, and split the Plum Salad. The mac and cheese bites were served with marinara and quite what you would expect with a mac and cheese bite, nothing less nothing more. The salad is dressed with a white honey balsamic vinaigrette which is very delicious and just the right amount of sweet and tangy! For dinner we both got entrees that were on special. I got the mahi-mahi topped with lump crabmeat served with a plum reduction sauce, a baked potato, and broccoli, while my mom ordered the Porterhouse Pork. The fish was high quality and very juicy, and the sauce complimented the flakey texture perfectly. The pork had hints of smokiness and was cooked to a perfect, tender medium. We polished off dinner with a piece of the pecan pie and a dessert on special, the Cinnabon bread pudding. Both were so decadent and delicious we sadly couldn't finish! Our waitress, Julia, was lovely. She was very friendly and always popped in to check on us at just the right time. Santa was visiting the night we had dinner, so she ensured to come by and ask us if we wanted to take a picture with him before he left, which of course we did. Whilst we got caught up chatting with Santa, our food came out and Julia let us know so that it wouldn't get cold. She also made my birthday dinner extra special by putting a candle in my pecan pie! Lastly, the Plumsteadville Inn's pricing is very good value for the money. The portions are large, and they have tavern favorites ranging from $16 to $30, and then the most expensive entree is around $45. I would definitely recommend the Plumsteadville Inn both for an event or simply for lunch or dinner. The service and food has been exemplary no matter what the occasion and the setting is beautiful. I highly recommend!

The Inn is nicely run by Matt George. We stayed at the Inn this past Saturday. The staff is very friendly. They help with your luggage and won't even accept a tip. The rooms are clean. Private do it yourself parking. On the main floor, lunch, dinner & Sunday brunch are served. Beautiful display of buffet. Possibly the best in the area. One doesn't have to stay there to eat at the Inn. Sunday Brunch is $24pp. If you stay at the Inn it's $19pp. Rooms are reasonable rates. There are no elevators, so the physically challenged would have to opt the 1st floor. Also on the 3rd floor our bathroom did not have an electrical outlet. Kinda inconvenient.

Been here many times. All is good. Always had a good sandwich or meal. Menu has many selections. The bar area is where we usually sit because there is a lot going on. Many beers on tap. Drink specials to try. Plenty of parking. Very busy Inn almost every day especially 4 and after. People are pleasant. Service is good. Prices are reasonable compared to other restaurants we visit. Take credit cards. Highly recommend!

Went on a Friday night and the atmosphere was fun! The bar was busy and had a single performer doing live music. There was delicious featured drinks, and everyone at the bar was friendly. Dinner was in a separate room where we couldn't hear the music but our waiter was very nice. Apps we good, dinner was great and dessert was even better. Will definitely be back! We'd love to see the patio seating in the summer.

So the Inn was officially opened in 1751 so there are some not perfect items about the building... but it doesn't matter! The rooms were comfortable and clean. Took awhile for the shower to warmup, I didn't care. Places great and the bar/restaurant was really happening Friday and Saturday night with live music. If I head back to Pennsylvania I'll be staying there.

Been living in the area for 2 years and always wanted to try this place. While driving in a massive flash storm we pulled in for cover and stayed to eat! Beautiful and charming building, plenty of parking and friendly people at the front. I saw so many great dishes I would like to come back to try but that night I wanted something lighter so I went with the beet salad special and added shrimp for some protein. I loved the house dressing, it was a tangy lime citrus, nice and light. My only complaint was that I wished things would of been cut up but it's nice to see how much is on the plate and it was generous servings. Hubby had the chicken salad pita and of course I had to take a bite. It was delicious. I really loved the homemade chips -- hmm I wonder if I could of gotten a bag to go?!? Perfectly crisp and not greasy. Apparently their special desserts are either bread pudding or cheese cake and the flavors change often - which can be dangerous for us because we love both and enjoy trying different flavors! The cheesecake was so creamy! Service was with a smile - we will definitely be back to try more - it's a nice relaxed setting, from the outside I always thought it was a more fancy establishment

First time At Plumsteadville inn celebrating my sisters birthday. We sat at the bar Janelle greeted us and made us DELICIOUS cocktails. She was a pleasure to talk to. She answered our questions made suggestions and we placed an order of crab fritters. We continued to enjoy our cocktails while we waited for our appetizers. The runner brought our app and before we could pick up our forks, Jason approached us said that he thought they were cooked a little too dark and wanted to get us a new order. I have never had kind of service. Never has anyone recognized that the food came out less than 100% and had it immediately corrected. Thank you Jason for recognizing that the food was not perfect and correcting it. Thank you to Janelle for being so nice. Made my sisters birthday Very special.

10/10 on the food, parking, service and prices at the Plumsteadville Inn. I popped in for lunch with a friend on Saturday. When we walked in, there was a private event taking place but I would've never known that based on how much parking was available. The hostess asked if we had a reservation. We didn't, but were seated immediately. I can't recall the name of our server, but he was fantastic. I appreciated the fact that he kept coming over to refill our waters as it was a warm day. We started out with a side of onion petals and they were superb. Way more than enough for two people. For my entree, I ordered the portobello sandwich. I've had different variations of a portobello sammy, but nothing that can compare to this one. The garlic aioli did not miss the mark. The sandwich itself was flavorful and the bun was soft. Simply the best. It came with a side of chips, which I also thoroughly enjoyed. I was dying for a refreshing dessert - the key lime pie was the winner. It hit the spot. Creamy and decadent, however, I wish it had more lime flavor. The crust was buttery and flaky. If you're looking for a low key spot to have lunch or brunch, I highly recommend the Plumsteadville Inn!

3-26-23 The brunch buffet ... I think this is the best buffet in the area period. It is definitely a tremendous value as well as a 4 star restaurant buffet experience.They have so many options but the stars were : shrimp and grits, pick and peel shrimp, smoked salmon, quiche, eggs Benedict, carved prime rib and carved ham and the omelette station. And obviously the deserts are worth saving room , i barely did. The cheesecake was off the charts , super creamy which is how I like it. Reminded me of the Old Original Bookbinders in Philadelphia. Definitely make reservations well in advance!

Carol was an attentive bartender! She knew exactly what i needed before I even asked for it! Love coming here, it has become a staple.

Amazing ambience, friendly and attentive service by Alex. The food was awesome!!! First we enjoyed the lettuce wraps and teriyaki chicken, then my lady had the shrimp and grits and I enjoyed the bone in prime pork chop. We finished off with a few bites of the carrot cake which we took home to enjoy later on. All in all I give this venue 5 stars as we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and it was definitely money well spent! Alex our waitress was very friendly and attentive and really topped off our experience, they are lucky to have her...we will DEFINITELY be back

House made chicken dip with chips. app had the consistency of cream corn with zero flavor besides the 1/2 layer of cheddar cheese Bartender asked me about the app and I was honest One drink One below average appetizer $32 Prob won't be going back anytime soon

One of our favorite restaurants. We really enjoyed our dinner tonight. As always the service was fantastic. My husband had the shrimp kabobs and I had the Clams with linguini. Both were excellent as were the wedge salad and Boom Boom shrimp. If you want a great food experience I would definitely go to the Plumsteadville Inn!

This is my favorite restaurant. Everything is delicious and the service is great. My husband says it's one the best places for a steak.

Color me happy. Went for father's day brunch and was thrilled. Wife and I walked in the entrance and was pleasantly greeted by the front desk. The smiles continued throughout our brunch experience. We were seated in a large booth by the bar area, which I had requested. I like a large table at buffets so I do not feel cramped while enjoying the fare. The service was superb. Our server was attentive and always close by. Not once did we have to ask for plates to be removed from our table. Any employee that walked past would just ask, "Would you like me to clear these plates". The food selection was top notch. Everything from shrimp cocktail, whitefish salad and smoked salmon, to eggs benedict. There is an omelette station and a beef and turkey carving station. The dessert area was wonderful. Lots of homemade pastries and a chocolate fountain. The cannoli were magnificent. The price was well worth it. We have gone to other local buffet brunches and spent much more for a lesser experience. I tip my hat to The Plumsteadville Inn and all of the staff.

Excellent service. The restaurant was accommodating to my dietary restrictions and made a dish off the menu for me. High recommend it

I had a surprise birthday party there last night for my lovely wife and it was an amazing evening and everyone loved the party. Matt and Katie, the event coordinators were such a pleasure to work with and their attention to detail was outstanding. The food was fantastic and the bar service was excellent. I am pretty particular about food and service and they were really very good with both. I've gone to dinner there on many occasions and knew that the food was very good and d the atmosphere is really great. I was pleasantly surprised by how well they handled my affair I highly recommend their banquet facility and staff and quality.

Great food, service in a beautifully decorated dining area with high ceilings and hard wood trim. I would recommend this place for lunch or dinner; business or private. Food is excellent as well. I give 4 stars because it ain't the Ritz; just a friendly neighborhood restaurant.

The food here is decent but nothing special. The restaurant itself has a cool tavern vibe and is very big. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the items on the menu were much cheaper than I would have expected. I got the chicken marsala for my meal which was just alright but overall pretty bland. I would not order that again but I tried some of the veggie cheesesteak which was a lot better than my dish. The lava cake really hit the spot though for dessert! This is a decent spot if you're looking for American comfort food in Doylestown.

Dined here 10/5 we arrived at 4:30 pm ask if we could sit outside they accompanied us beautiful area . We were the only people outdoors waited 15 minutes for someone to take our order , Jason showed up took our drink order when he returned with our drinks he said I'll give you a few minutes to look at the menu another 10 minutes upon arrival I looked at the specials was interested in the Delmonico Bison special , waiter (manager) Jason ok what do you want. I ask about the specials which he read in a huff. I'm sorry we bothered you Jason , I ordered the Bison very Good at some point we had different staff attending to our needs everything was great except for JASON

Good food, fair prices and a beautiful old building. The Plumbsteadville Inn staff are friendly and helpful. The Sunday brunch is simply not to be missed. This isn't some shabby sneeze-guard, bland breakfast buffet. Omlettes, pancakes and delicious eggs and pastries aplenty and a very reasonable price. I've been here for dinner as well, and this place never disappoints. Definitely worth the trip.

After tonight I learned a valuable lesson: Always follow fellow Yelper, and friend Gerald's impeccably accurate, and oh so well written reviews as a guide on where to go; and in this case, where NOT to go. We had high hopes for the Plumsteadville Inn, as it's been on our list for a while. However, after flushing $175 down the drain, it fell extremely flat. From the check in process, to the very end, it was all pretty bad. Service goes a looong way, and if our waitress were at least accommodating, and more apologetic, regarding our luke warm entrees, we wouldn't have been less disappointed. 3 out of 5 entrees were sitting in the back just dying for what must've been a while. Our entrees certainly had the potential to be good; we were left feeling shafted after having to shell out a nice hunk money for cold food. Albeit, the waitress, offered to do "something;" but by the time she came back to check on us, it was just too late. I'm not into sending half eaten dishes back to the kitchen to get nuked. What's the point, really? The part that really burned, was she never showed her face to our table after that. She must've walked her unapologetic self past us at least 4 times. We didn't even get addressed, approached, or looked at ever again. As if it was our fault that we got cold meals or something. I could see if we were rude to her, but as a former waitress, and restauranteur I would never, ever be rude to anyone who works in the service industry, especially on a busy Saturday night. Stuff happens and I'm always so lax about it; tonight was just really bizarre as well as unacceptable. I truly never felt "uncomfortable" in a restaurant before. So...yeah, I can't comment on how dessert was because we were never offered. We were going to order, as they looked appetizing; I guess we'll never know. I started walking out and I guess the manager got the picture that we wanted to leave since our table had nothing left on it after other staff members cleared the remnants of our dinner. Still unaddressed and unattended, I was hoping the lack of her presence perhaps meant it was free? Alas that was just a wishful, passing thought. Not only was it not free, (which I wouldn't expect) there was not even an offer of discount, nor a complementary dessert, nor even a stinking after dinner mint. Only a big old check with a side of disappointment, with the assurance that we won't be back. Note to the waitress: Kindness goes a long way. I know you didn't intend to make our food cold; some things may have been out of your control. Though being apologetic and trying to remedy the situation and salvage our evening out with some empathy over blatantly ignoring us would've stung much less. But hey, on a positive note, my cold fish was tasty!

Website says you're open - you aren't. Wasted gas. Should have guessed by how easy it was to park.

5 stars for food but 3 for the overworked bartender - DeeAnne - who tried her best. There were 2 huge parties on a busy Saturday lunch so we sat in a booth in the bar area instead of the sunny garden room (perfect for parties). My dad's ribs and my pork schnitzel were just terrific. DeeAnne is a lovely lady, too but she had to make drink orders, tend bar AND serve about 5 tables. Just too much. Meanwhile, if you come during a quieter time, the Plumsteadville inn is just so nice. We love it here. Don't miss the crab cakes. Out of this world!

Food is really delicious and nice atmosphere. Very cozy old building. We've had a few work things there over the years.

Sat at the bar Saturday night. Slooooow service. Inattentive bartender(s) and did not look understaffed. Asked for a Yuengling- they didn't have it- even in bottles. Geez. Ordered appetizer- chicken teriyaki wrap- came out COOL/Tepid. Entree hot-just ok. Had better. Desert- carrot cake- SUCKED. Bill was ~ $102 - that kind of money spent better elsewhere.

The food is delicious and they have many good choices. The customer service is great they help with spills, meal that got messed up anything

This place is the real deal. I have had many meals here and not a single bad experience. The food is consistently quality and the menu provides a good variety. If you are fortunate enough to be there on prime rib night, you will not be disappointed. However, the star of the show is consistently the staff. Every single employee from the host to the manager is incredibly friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. The remarkably large staff works together as a cohesive unit to ensure a truly extraordinary dining experience.

I love this place. It never disappoints. No matter if you go for lunch or dinner or just drinks and appetizers it's always delicious. Warm and cozy atmosphere. Service is incredible and friendly. The food always prepared as requested. Give it a try!

12 of us went for dinner. Only 2 were please. Will not go back. The chicken pot pie that 4 had was all complained by how think it was, to much starch. The veal was a complaint the pasta had no flavor and the veal was tough. I had the lettuce wraps and all I could taste was salt. Glad the peeps up there have a restaurant to go to. If I lived up there with nothing else to go to I guess I would deal.

Service is always great, food is so good- best chicken parm, EVER. The pretzel appetizers are also unbeatable.

You'll be hard pressed to find a staff that cares more about your experience than those at this incredible historic Inn. The bar and restaurant downstairs is treasured by local residents for good reason, great food, excellent service and accommodating, involved management. The involved part can't be oversold. You could film a training video here for how other hotel managers should be doing their job.

A group of my friends and I met at the Plumsteadville Inn last night. We had a good time. The place was packed for a Monday night but this is the Christmas season. We had a variety of sandwiches and salads. I had a delicious drink of Bourbon and ginger ale with a lemon twist. My prime rib sandwich was packed with thin slices of prime rib. Caesar salad was superb. Tomato bisque soup was delicious. My one friend had the crab cake sandwich and commented there was plenty of crab meat. Another friend had Wiener schnitzel and ate every bit of it. The wives had soup and salads with a couple of their specialty drinks. Our waitress was very busy but took good care of us. As expected in the tavern area, the noise was well noisy. People enjoying their night out. I would say it is a little pricey but not out of line with other places we have eaten at of this standard. Plenty of parking. I would recommend a reservation. Eat well and enjoy.

Ate here twice, was disappointed both times, the food is greasy and nothing special. The service is not bad but also nothing special and the menu is boring.

Great place for dinner or lunch. But they also do such a fantastic job on small events. I had my daughters baby shower here back in February and it was just beautiful! Staff was great and the food was fantastic!

Never disappointed in seated location, service, or food choices. Patio seating, garden room overlooking patio and gardens, main dining room near fireplace, bar seating-so many great options! Extensive menu with yummy daily specials, including special desserts!

We have had lunch here several times I've the past 2 months. Each time we were pleased with good food, drinks, service and cleanliness. It's becoming our go to place for a great lunch!

The Culinary Adventures of Tom Coghlan, FB I've been working in Plumsteadville, PA... For lunch, I found The Plumsteadville Inn. The Plumsteadville inn has been around since 1751 and has a rich and interesting history. While seated at the bar, I noticed it was bustling with lunch patrons... "Must be something good going on here," I thought. So on my way home I was thinking about what to cook for dinner, when I decided would try The Plumstead instead of cooking ! I found a seat at the bar and was reintroduced to my server Deanne, who I had previously met at lunch... "Stella ?" Deanne asked. "Yes please, and can I see a menu ?" After reviewing the menu I was certain of two things. 1, I was going to order The Clams Casino. 2, I wanted to try something different ! The Candied Bacon & Avocado Salad. I couldn't decide on an entrée, so I asked Deanne what her favorite was... The Prime Pork Chop is what she suggested. "OK Prime Pork Chop it is !" "How would you like that cooked ?" "Well done, please." "The chef recommends medium." Deanne advised.... "If that's what the chef suggests, then that is what I want !" The Clams Casino came out first. A half dozen of them, garnished with a slice of lemon. 6 Little Neck Clams chopped with Diced Peppers, Onions and Bacon... After squeezing all the lemon on the Clams, I enjoyed the first one. DELICIOUS ! I especially liked the fact that they chopped the Clam with the Peppers Onion and Bacon. Nothing too chewy here, just pure flavor. I them moved on to my Salad. It was a Spinach Salad with Candied Bacon pieces, Goat Cheese (Feta), Red Onion, Roasted Red Peppers, topped with half of a sliced Avocado and a Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing that I suspect was emulsified with Olive Oil... What a delightful surprise ! The ingredients worked well together... Very well ! Then The Pork Chop ! WOW ! Just wow ! It was served with fresh Broccoli and house made Mashed Potatoes that I suspect were made with Heavy Cream, like my own.. The Pork Chop was very tasty ! It got better with every bite ! By the time I finished it, I concluded, it may well have been the best Pork Chop I've ever had ! It was in the sauce that it was cooked in, and while only being cooked to medium, it still had enough char on the outside to satisfy my taste buds ! Good call, Deanne ! Thanks ! And The Stella's' flowed. It was an AMAZING experience. One which I hope to explore again. We were to celebrate a friend's 80th birthday. She likes it there like a lot of folks who have memories of eating there. The lunch menu is limited. I opted for pastrami sandwich (Rueben they called it) It was a cold sandwich. Never heard of cold pastrami or Rueben "cold" , very disappointing. I would never go there if it was not for our friends birthday. I am not young but am selective for good cooking. The do not have Jäegermeister pork schnitzel sandwich anymore, a shame. Hope the bring it back.

I made an online reservation for a room through their website. Less than a week before arrival, I was called by a member of their staff to be told that they were having a wedding on my arrival date and that my room could no longer be made available. To paraphrase Jerry Seinfeld, "So you know how to take the reservation; but you don't know to hold the reservation. And that's really the most important part! Anyone can just take reservations." With respect to bookings, the Plumsteadville Inn seems to operate a lot like an airline. Bottom line, I wouldn't trust their online reservations. Is it fair to give a one-star review to an inn that I never actually visited? Philosophically, providing no room when you've promised one seems worse than providing a substandard room. So I say yes...
