The 22 Best Restaurants in Marrakech, Morocco | Eater

"Light and airy, Plus61 bills itself as a casual Australian restaurant, but the program is firmly rooted in Morocco, incorporating as much local produce as possible. Recent hits on the rotating menu have included a roast sirloin sandwich with eggplant relish, roasted onions, and chile, and a roasted cauliflower salad with almonds, minty chickpeas, and pomegranates. Meanwhile, the full bar offers unique cocktails (and mocktails) that change seasonally alongside the food menu. [$$]" - Amanda Ponzio-Mouttaki

We stopped by Plus61 for a quick bite during our vacation. Even though we weren’t ordering a full meal, there was no pressure to get more, and never once did we feel rushed or judged for keeping it light. The food was amazing, and each dish was thoughtfully explained when served. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable, and the staff is friendly, yet professional.

Came to Plus61 because of a friend recommended. It was a much-needed break from all the Tajines we've been having during our travel in Morocco, something fresh and non-local. The ambiance is cozy and relaxed, and since we always go for early dinner, it's not too crowded which is perfect. We had the fish of the day (sea bream) and chicken schnitzel, both well cooked and flavorful and we paired it with local red wine. nice combo! Plus, the staff speak good English, which made everything smooth and easy. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a cozy, non-Moroccan dinner spot in Marrakesh!

Tucked away in the heart of Marrakech’s Gueliz district, Plus61 is without a doubt one of the best restaurants in the city—an elegant, modern oasis where Australian flair meets Moroccan soul. From the moment you step inside, the atmosphere is relaxed yet refined, with sun-drenched interiors, warm service, and a focus on seasonal ingredients that shine on every plate. The menu is fresh, inventive, and beautifully balanced. Think wood-fired vegetables with bold spices, perfectly grilled meats, and seafood dishes that burst with flavor. Every bite feels thoughtful—crafted with care and plated with quiet confidence. The wine list is equally impressive, featuring natural and biodynamic options that complement the food perfectly. Whether you’re a foodie seeking a standout meal or simply craving a stylish, serene escape from the bustle of the medina, Plus61 is an absolute must-visit. It’s not just a great restaurant by Marrakech standards—it’s world-class, full stop.

Very pleasant and fresh meal. Good to break things up when you’re in marrakesh trying local cuisine. A very modern take on modern dining. Not super fine dining where portions are small and you leave hungry. but nice enough to appreciate great tasting food and great service. If you’ve ever gone out for food in Australia, then expect similar vibes here. Would definitely recommend.

Just wow. Of all the dishes we had I am obsessed with the tuna tartare on top of stracciatela. The fish was great as a main, and the baked cheesecake was incredible (we literally repeated the dish to get some more spoonfuls each). The fried olives were fine but i wouldn’t order them again. The mushroom gyozas were also “fine”. But sincerely, this was a great restaurant and overall we were all really pleased. Amazing service , great vibes and incredible food

Drinks, specials, service, food and atmosphere absolutely 10/10. A must visit if you’re in Marrakech, and we will definitely be back and telling all our friends. Loved the evening specials - food and drinks. Highly recommend the grilled octopus starter and roasted cauliflower! Good veggie options too.

Had a superlative dinner experience at +61. Excellent food, attentive and fun service, great buzz around the place. Thoroughly deserves its place in the MENA 50 Best. The tuna tartare with stracciatella was phenomenal, as was the fish crudo. The schnitzel could have been seasoned a little more, but the whole experience was fantastic. Recommend!
