PM & Vänner

A beautiful room with modern design with plenty of both natural- and artificial light at a first glance. There were however some impractical and annoying design choices especially in the bathroom. PM & Vänner does however make up for it with pleasant service and decent shared facilities like pool, sauna and a really tiny gym (if the gym isn’t enough they collaborate with a local gym). The staff is very soft spoken and polite, and the included breakfast is one of the better hotel breakfasts I’ve seen.

Having lunch here several times we have never been disappointed. Classy, tasty and good service! Can also recommend when need to go for business lunch when in Växjö.

Nice hotel. Perfect breakfast on roof, with good view . Sauna, gym, two small pools on roof. One is warm, another with ambient temperature. I recommend to try.

Lovely stay with kind and attentive service. We enjoyed both the rooftop restaurant and bistro during our stay, as well as the bakery. Rooms are well designed and equipped but we found the sound proofing to the street a bit poor — on Friday night especially a 1st floor room was very loud with noise from cars, motorcycles, etc on the street.

Go to the restaurant with my friends, the food is so nice. There was a trouble with my order but then they solved it smoothly. They have a wide range of drink menu. I love their desserts, better than other konditori can make. Overall, I will go back this place as long as I am still in Växjö.

The room was comfy. The breakfast was amazing served in a fantastic rooftop room filled with glass and a view of the rooftop pool and city below and beyond. You were right around the corner from the main walking and shopping area. They offer underground parking too.

We had high expectations for our 2-night stay. We were not impressed by the reception area and the staff was not very friendly. ||||We have booked 2 nights in an executive room however, the room looked exactly like the classic room on the web-site and did not have a seating area with 2 chairs as the picture on the website shows. We did not say anything but were a bit disappointed.||||The breakfast was really good and the bar/library area on the top floor was very inviting and cozy.||||We had dinner in both the bistro and the restaurant – see separate review.||||Our stay was fine, but we had expected a bit more.

We really enjoyed our stay at PM Vänner. Very stylish and well maintained rooms. In addition, the breakfast was amazing. The food (and especially the bread) was of superior quality and everything felt fresh and tasty. The pool and sauna was great as well. All in all a perfect stay.

We stopped by this restaurant because it seemed popular based on some Trip Advisor reviews. The restaurant opened at 1130am and it filled up quickly. Hubby ordered the spicy sausage and I got the hamburger with frites. There was a salad buffet with fresh plums which I thoroughly enjoyed - the plums tasted similar to the ones in America but they were shaped and colored differently. I had about 4 in total, they were so refreshing. I didn't love my hamburger and stopped eating it because it was dry, overcooked and not very tasty, so that's another reason why I ate so many plums. We met a very nice gentlemen at the table next to us named Sven Svensson who proceeded to point out the mayor of the city sitting across the restaurant. He also shared some fun facts about Vaxjo which we enjoyed immensely.
