The 21 Best Restaurants In Chinatown - London - The Infatuation

"At this tight-knit Korean BBQ spot on Wardour Street, Kaytranada pumps from the speakers and LA galbi sizzles from every chrome table’s grills. Pochawa Grill is inspired by pojangmachas in South Korea—stalls where you can eat, drink, and slur words with friends late into the night—and it’s a fun interpretation. The banchan and BBQ platters are prepared and presented to a high standard, and the only sound more constant than the bass is that of ice-cold bottles of Cass being cracked." - jake missing, heidi lauth beasley, rianne shlebak, sinead cranna

The Most Fun Dinner Spots In London - London - The Infatuation

"Everyone knows that a little bit (but not a lot) of interactive cooking equals fun at a restaurant. Pochawa Grill also knows that bright pink neons and pumping K-pop ramps that up to the next level. This tight-knit Korean BBQ spot in Chinatown isn’t built for wallflowers. It’s inspired by pojangmachas in South Korea—stalls where you can eat, drink, and slur words with friends until the early hours. Even though it closes at 11pm, good times are still had here by groups small and large. Meat sizzles on tabletop grills and everything, from rib-eye to the LA galbi, is well prepared and presented." - Jake Oliver, Daisy Meager, Sinead Cranna, Rianne Shlebak

We love korean food and so were very excited to try this pocha. It definitely lived up to expectations! Though the food was a little pricey, the quality and quantity were definitely worth it. We ordered tteokbokki, soy garlic fried chicken and the signature combo. Everything was tasty and fresh so not a single word was spoken between us because we were too busy eating 🤣.

I’ve never had Korean BBQ this good! I genuinely loved every dish I ordered, and the chicken gizzard completely stole my stomach (in the tastiest way 😅). The kimchi rice was just as impressive, and the Korean fried chicken was incredible! The portion sizes offered great value for money, and the atmosphere and décor made me feel like I’d stepped straight into Korea. I definitely recommend visiting Pochawa, not just for the delicious food, but for the authentic South Korean experience.

I came on Tuesday, with my friends & it was almost 10:20 & didnt realise they close at 11 TT but they still let us in & the food was so good. Service was even better. A guy with specs guided us through the menu & food and he was really good at it. Will definitely visit again<3 thanku for letting us eat in!!

Google
Reservations are not required in principle, tables are released quickly. It is true that you only have an hour and a half. The service is fast, but it always feels like you are being chased, so the whole meal was a bit stressful. The food and preparation were excellent, delicious. The meat was well marinated. The price is a bit higher. To eat well, it costs about 40P per person without drinks.

Absolutely appalling experience during what was supposed to be a nice family dinner. We spotted live bugs crawling in the lettuce served for our BBQ. The worst part is, we only noticed after we'd already eaten some. I feel sick to my stomach thinking about it, and I'm incredibly worried about my kids. When we showed the waiter, the reaction was basically nothing. No apology, no concern, just took the plate away. The complete lack of care or urgency was almost as bad as finding the bugs themselves. Paying over £70 for this is just adding insult to injury. We expected a basic level of hygiene and customer care. This place failed on both counts. Do not recommend if you care about what you're eating.

Really good !!! First time for a Korean Bbq and I can say we had an amazing experience! Great food, nice atmosphere, staff so friendly, showed us how everything worked and what we needed to do. All was so yummy ! Loved it we will go again. Would recommend it 👌

Google
It’s tasty and quite an authentic experience for Korean BBQ. Meat is good, only the pork belly is too thin, if it can be cut thicker that would be better. We queued for about half an hour on Friday evening. I would say it worths the wait and will definitely want to go back.

Google
I found the food to be very tasty. We went for a bbq set menu and it was a lot of food. This included pork belly and different types of beef. Korean BBQ is always tasty so this is no different. The place itself is quite trendy, loud music, and a nice vibe. Overall I had a good experience.
