"You’ll find taco offerings galore at Poco’s in Doylestown with options including crunchy beef tacos, pork carnitas, and black bean soft tacos, all topped with diced onions, lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese. For something a bit different, try the fried chicken street corn tacos which are served on soft corn or flour tortillas — your choice — and topped with bacon bits, lime sour cream, and cotija cheese." - Kristen Kwiatkowski

Stopped by for a comedy show and arrived early for a bite to eat. We should have remembered the last time we ate here or we may have just showed up for the show instead. Compared to other Mexican restaurants, the portions are small, taste ok, and are priced high. I ordered a nacho entree that only had a few chips that were covered with cheese. Really sad considering I ate more free table chips than what I paid for… Next time I may just eat the free chips and not make a $15 donation for a few with cheese on top. Also be aware that the nacho entree description on the menu is very deceptive. It makes you believe that the entree includes all that is listed in the description. You can add the items listed in the description for an extra fee. Edit - The nacho descriptions under the other options made mention of other ingredients such as onions and jalapenos. Those do not come with the entree unless you pay an extra charge.

Poco’s in Doylestown is a local staple that never disappoints! Whether you’re at the bar, in high-top seating, or in the main dining area, the atmosphere is always fun and welcoming. I usually go for the bar seating or a high-top, and I can’t recommend their margaritas enough! The regular on-the-rocks margarita is a classic, but the frozen ones with different flavor options are always amazing too. One of my favorite parts is that they start you off with chips and salsa, which makes deciding on food a bit easier. Recently, I tried their sweet potato fries as an appetizer, and they were incredible. All the food here has been consistently great. Poco’s is definitely a must-visit if you’re in Doylestown!

What a fun place. Came here and had a great time. Food was eclectic, yummy and had a different spin on Mexican food. Yes, they have the staples but also a whole bunch of other fun dishes. The service rocks too. Katie our server did a magnificent job at making us feel at home and recommending food. Great happy hour specials- ALL BOOZE and appetizers are 1/2 off from 4-6 PM ... M-F. Great creative drinks too! Fun, fun fun!!!! The crowd is friendly and welcoming too. Family Friendly place too! So what’s not to like? Great place, great food and great service. An all around WIN!!! Go spend your $$$ at this place. Def worth it.

Love coming to this place. Huge portions, friendly staff, and yummy drinks! Always have had a fabulous meal here over the years. Highly recommend the burritos they are gigantic and delicious! And of course, their margaritas are always on point.

Katie, Owen, Michelle, Emily, and Cindy were absolutely delightful. Probably the cleanest restaurant I have ever been in. Looking forward to the comedy cabaret on the second floor during my next visit.

Google
First time here and let me tell you this place is awesome! It looks a tad dated, but that’s a good thing because it’s warm and cozy inside. The chips on the table were great and they refill the samosa often. The marg tasted great. I had fajitas, and it was plenty of food for me. I like the duel bar as well, and will come back to check it out next time.

Google
Our waitress was amazing and our main dishes decent. The side dish of rice and refried beans was the worst I have tasted. The chips and salsa that are served before your meal are really great. Oddly they served really good picante salsa but set out a jar of chunkier salsa that tasted like Pace Salsa that was getting old.

Yelp
Four of us went to Poco's to catch up on life. We have all been to Poco's numerous times. I had a cup of corn-potato chowder which came out nice and hot. I like my soup hot. This was very good soup. I ordered a sloppy Jose which passed but nothing I would speak negative about. Others eating all had fish taco's and told me they rated them 7 out of 10 due to being dry with minimum taste. I have been reading reviews of Poco's finding them all over the place being critical, complimentary or just another place to eat. We drank margaritas and I had Modelo Dark. The bar area and dining area have plenty of room. They offer comedy shows. Check out their calendar of events. I have never been to Poco's when there was no crowd; this was no different. Would I rate it having great Mexican food...no I would not but it is not bad either. Waitress was good. We got our food and drinks delivered with a friendly smile. $$ 1/2 on the money scale. Plenty of parking. You can hear your friends talk in Poco's. Noise level is acceptable. I am sure we will return and certainly have another delicious raspberry Margarita.

Yelp
Absolutely the worst Mexican food I've ever had. the food (big Scotty) was a dry soulless burrito that whose meat tasted like it was seasoned with a generic packet of Mexican seasoning with obviously low quality ingredients across the board. Other meals in our party of 5 had similar disappointing experience that ranged from the salsa tasing like ketchup to the fish tacos having a bizarre tasting white sauce. It's a bar and comedy club doing a half assed overpriced restaurant business. A great candidate for the Bar Makeover episode. You'll be happier with Taco Bell than this place for food.

Eileen P.

Yelp
We had our holiday party there and went upstairs to the comedy club, which is great. The service is great. The people are great and I'm very happy with how the party turned out..

Caryn P.

Yelp
Friendly service and lively atmosphere the moment you walk in. Food is mid - drinks are strong. Nice for a quick inexpensive meal and great for an evening of fun to then hit up the comedy show upstairs after.

Dani M.

Yelp
We had a nice, relaxing meal at Poco's before heading upstairs to see the comedy show. I had the Barbacoa quesadilla, which was unremarkable. My husband had the Mexican lasagna, which he thought was fantastic! I can attest to that since I had a couple bites and wished I'd ordered that as well! We also enjoyed a few raspberry flavored margaritas and lemon drop martinis - they were made well. Our server, however, was quite slow considering it was not a busy night at all. Overall it was an enjoyable evening and we will definitely return again in the future.

Yelp
We've been coming here for years, but unfortunately it seems like the quality has been steadily declining. We got seated rather quickly on a busy Friday night, and put in our drink order. Two of the drinks we asked for sugar on the rim -- they came with no sugar -- whatever, not a huge deal. Then we all tasted them...our group all looked at each other with the same thoughts... no alcohol!! Usually with margaritas, you can taste the tequila. I got the Cadillac margarita, which tasted like a sour mix you'd find at the grocery store without a hint of alcohol. The other people in our party got I believe it was an Island margarita, which just tasted like juice. I brought this up with our waitress, who was super friendly, and she assured there was alcohol in them. There very well could have been *some* alcohol in them, but it had to be a fraction of a standard pour. At the end of the day, a margarita is made up of 3 things: tequila, orange liquor, and lime juice. If I'm unable to taste any alcohol in a drink with those contents, then that's a bad drink. Our waitress came back with 1oz pours of tequila that we then put in ourselves, which we appreciated. Still, unhappy with the original pour and I truly believe using the pre-mix in a $13 margarita is just not good practice. Then, the food came out. Their enchiladas were good, my burrito was eh. Luke warm tortilla, bland taste, store-bought guac...for $18 I'm better off going to Chipotle where at least it'll taste better and be 1.5x the size. When we go to Pocos, we aren't expecting authentic Mexican -- and we're totally fine with that -- we'll go to Las Fridas if we want something more authentic-- but we do expect at least some quality. It's disappointing because we've been coming here for so long, but with this quality I don't see it making much more sense to keep returning.

Francois M.

Yelp
I should've known when I walked into this establishment and there wasn't one hot sauce, chilli sauce or Tabasco sauce in sight! It was a warning sign that this establishment wasn't an authentic "Mexican" restaurant! The food was a light portioned, cold, bland and unauthentic as it gets! I will not be returning!

Yelp
Very Disappointing! After reading all the 4-5 star reviews, I thought my wife and I had finally found a real treasure 30 miles from our home; unfortunately, nothing further from the truth. Let's start with the server. She was extremely attentive, helpful with the menu, and provided great service! Thank you... Let's move on to the drinks. Ordered Classic Margaritas on the rocks with salt. I have to admit I was wondering if they had any alcohol in them but suffice it to say, for $10.75 each, even $2.00 worth of Tequila in the glass would have been a huge improvement. Now for the main course, steak fajitas with all the fixings. The only thing I'm going to say here is everything from the guacamole, sautéed onions/green peppers, and Spanish rice to the skirt steak was horrendously under-seasoned; very little if any taste. Finally, leaving this review on a high note, the fried pickle spears with yogurt, and dill dipping sauce; are outstanding and we highly recommend them.

Yelp
On August 15 we had an awesome dining experience. The food was good, as usual, but the customer service outstanding. We had a party of 7 with 3 children which included a very tired 2 year old. He didn't want the high chair but our quick thinking server brought a booster chair. She was attentive and kept checking that we and the 2 year old were ok. What could have been a train wreck turned into a nice family dinner! Keep it up!

Neeta D.

Yelp
This was my first restaurant visit of the year this pandemic, and was special for different reasons. Got lucky in getting a corner seat away from the other customers... the social distancing was anyway maintained. Mainly relished the Buffalo garlic chicken wings...the sauce was yum n I would have been happier if more sauce was added on the wings. We also enjoyed the fish n shrimp tacos along with a decent dessert.

Yelp
EMILY WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING - served us the best MargaRITAAAA! we were out of towners and friends brought us here for a good time. Felt like we really escaped away to a little piece of MEXICO !

Jennifer J.

Yelp
We don't plan on coming back. The hostess was very sweet, and our server was great, and that's where it ends. Appetizer came out only warm with guac that tasted like it was from a store. Hot salsa, which bought out a bit of the spice but didn't really save the dish overall. Mains were pretty terrible, but edible. If chain restaurants can serve fajitas on a hot grill, why can't Pocos? The tortillas were horrible, cold and not pliable. Rice tasted like tomato sauce. Toppings were so sad, didn't touch them. Lettuce was dried out, so sad. Hubs chimichanga was all beans and so small. He had an upset stomach shortly after. The atmosphere is nice at Poco's, and it's a shame the food didn't live up to any expectations. Go alil further to Rey Aztecas. You'll thank me. Sorry, Poco's.

Yelp
Ate here today for the second time. Mexican food is my favorite but this place isn't for me. Very American. Super nice staff though and my wife said her frozen raspberry margarita was great.

NY Navy Girl S.

Yelp
My Husband and I crave their sautéed Shrimp Tacos with soft Flour Tortillas with Lime Sour Cream. Best I've ever had. He also loves their Fried Pickles and Guacamole. Another of my favorites is Pork Carnitas. And of course the Margaritas. They make their own Mixers which is very important to us. Tara C is such a wonderful Server and takes great care of our family. We love her! Love the bar set up, too. It's uniquely set in the middle of both rooms. Poco's never disappoints!

Angela J.

Yelp
Mediocre Mexican ... there are definitely better options in the area. The comedy club used to make for a nice evening out but I haven't been there in years.

Joe T.

Yelp
Avoid. Bad expeierince with bartender and her Boyfrind who also works at the restaurant but stuck around to drink after his shift. bartender and boyfriend were offended when we suggested their friend looked like someone we knew and they stated acting very disrespectful and condescending. Boyfriend/employee called another customer a bitch after she left.

Tony M.

Yelp
We came here for dinner and a show and had a blast. I'll definitely be back for the fish tacos.

Yelp
What a rip off! I ordered take out and when I got home 20 minutes later some of the items were missing. I called and the woman argued with me that she packed the bag herself and there was nothing missing. I asked if I get a bag of chips with the meal and she said no, but she'll throw one in there. I asked for NO sour cream, I am allergic to sour cream and there were blobs all over my chimichanga. I was charged $8.75 for a bag of chips I never got. The food tasted ok, not great. I've been going there for 20 years! What a change! The woman was so rude! Never go there! What a rip off!

Minji S.

Yelp
There are two doors to this place, which I didn't know about until later. I went into the that door (which I found later isn't the main entrance) because there was an arrow pointing to it saying open "8 days a week". I went in and stood there confused for good 10 minutes and in those moments I made eye contact with 2 staff members who did nothing. I mean I guess they were busy? Two customers noticed me standing there and motioned me to sit at the bar area next to me. I asked them if I could just sit and they were like yeah. I figured it was free seating at this point then. One of the staff gave food menus to the customers beside me and since I was ignored for the last 10 minutes, I thought this was good chance as any to get some attention from the staff and asked for the food menu. She asked if I was doing takeout which I thought was weird because I was fully sitting. I said no and she said ok and took the orders of the customers beside me. During that time, I decided it was going to take forever for her to pay attention to me to get the food I wanted and better to actually get takeout. When the staff was done taking the order of the customer beside me, I said, "Actually, I would rather just do takeout..." and before I could finish that sentence, the staff snapped at me and "can you just wait" and left. She came back five minutes later and she said, "Did you want to do takeout?" and I said, "Yeah, I would just like to get...." and she stopped me mid-sentence again and said, "Can you actually go to the host stand?" and I said "where?" She pointed to the general direction and told me to go there with my menu (that the customer beside me gave me, not even her). So I went. I looked around and eventually found the host stand and this was when I realized where the actual entrance was. Another lady was there and I was like "Oh, is this where the entrance is? I went through the other door." I was going to tell her about how I went through the wrong door and how it was confusing, but then she stopped me and said "Yes, this is the entrance and this is the host stand (while motioning to the stand). I'm glad you made your way here," which in her tone I found condescending like yes this is the entrance, aren't you dumb. (This is my first time at this restaurant). I ordered my takeout and left but all I could think about is maybe I should have just left sooner and went elsewhere. Was the food really worth all that just because I went through the wrong door? And can the staff please let me finish my sentences. This could all been just avoided if someone said, "Hey you are the wrong door can you please go to the actual entrance to be seated."

Thomas C.

Yelp
Hi Michelle, I added onto my last review if you don't mind reading it, and like I said we will be back.

Howard G.

Yelp
Grilled Chicken Taco Salad was awesome. Burritos are giant & tasteful. Fresh ingredients. Service was prompt & friendly. Margaritas are delicious.

Brit K.

Yelp
Gahh I wish the food was a little better! It used to be magical but is lacking lately... mary Lou sauce is still the best. T he drinks and bartender however are amazing. At least they still give out sunglasses for the kids. Ahhh childhood nostalgia

Tony P.

Yelp
This is my first negative review...ever. I was so appalled by the owner/manager, Wayne, and his treatment of the customers that I felt obligated to write a review. I've never experienced someone working at a restaurant who was so rude to customers without regret. The food is terrible, the drinks cost too much and the place is a dump....AVOID! Let's be clear about the circumstances here. It was 9 mins before happy hour was ending, there were 7 open tables in the bar area, and your response was that if I didn't like the rules, why don't you buy the place. Classy stuff, just like your reply. Yelp is a place not to cry, just a place for people to share their experiences. This experience was particularly disappointing, which is why I felt a review was warranted.

Dave L.

Yelp
Poco's serves Tex-Mex cuisine. I heard that on certain nights, comedians perform (either there or next door) and (better yet) are actually funny - haven't had a chance to check this out. Regardless, Poco's has an unambiguously festive decor of faux palm trees and holiday lights that might make you laugh. Of the several times I've been there, only once did I encounter a rude host staffer. Service (Tara, and others) has thankfully always been helpful. For kicks, I ordered a hot dog, and it was good - can't beat sauteed onions! Also have had their BBQ, ribs[1], chicken fingers, and appetizer sampler, which are all standard fare. Good news: their menu won't dent your wallet. [1] head to Mesquito Grille for outstanding ribs - and wings

William M.

Yelp
It's very nice on the inside and the food is good but the wings were ok and the nachos were amazing. Everything is very Mexican it's super nice including the bathroom.

Zanna H.

Yelp
Is the food edible? Yes. Is it good? No. Everything feels like it is prepackaged. The salsa on the table is a dead ringer for Tostitos. I ordered their chimichanga and it was sub-par even compared to chain Mexican places. Despite being fried it was limp, bland and they forgot to include the rice and other side items except the beans which were put inside it for some reason. The scoop of guacamole on top was brown upon delivery to our table which was the second closest to the kitchen. Service was hit an miss with out actual server being very young and inexperienced so the other staff were jumping in to help but that meant things were forgotten or missed so we had to ask for refills and things several times. The older male manager (or maybe owner - not sure) stood at the host stand taking hits off his vape indoors so that is the atmosphere you are getting. I have no problem with a casual atmosphere but there is still a standard. When the staff smokes inside it sends the message that it permitted for the patrons to do the same, vape or other.

Tracy S.

Yelp
Bartenders are nice, but I wouldn't eat or drink anything here, unless it comes in a package or a can.

Amanda M.

Yelp
This is some of the worst Mexican food I've ever had. To start it off, the chips were pretty stale and the house spice salsa tasted like a ketchup-y cocktail sauce with no kick. We ordered the guacamole appetizer, and I could have sworn it's that Wholly Guacamole you buy in a grocery store that tastes ok, but in no way represents real guacamole. Even the presentation of it made it look like it had been squeezed out of a tube. For entrees, I got veggie fajitas. The veggies were a totally random assortment of diced veggies, some normal pepper strips, and cabbage. Not at all what I would have expected to receive. And they were incredibly bland, other than the high salt content. Even loaded onto a tortilla with sour cream and salsa, there still was very little flavor. There were no spices that even remotely resembled Mexican food. The service was average. What really brings this place down is the price. $15.50 for a plate of flavorless diced veggies! To sum it up: flavorless food and expensive prices

Cassidy R.

Yelp
I want to preface this by saying I made I'm a college student in my 20s. I don't review things on the internet. I work in customer service and I know how exhausting it is to serve people all day. I especially try to be actively nonjudgmental towards people who work in the industry. I had low expectations to begin with. That said, my experience at Pocos was so bad that I made a Yelp account, and am now spending my Thursday night writing about it. I went to Pocos once 10 years ago when I first moved to town. The location right on 611 makes it feel like it should be a staple of Doylestown, but in 10 years I never heard anyone mention it, let alone recommend it. I knew one girl who worked there years ago and hated it. Other than that, no word. Overheard a customer at my work today talking about half-off Margaritas on Thursday's and decided sure let's go! Upon arriving in the filled parking lot I realized half-priced Thursday's are a THING. We were initially planning on getting food and drinks at the bar but it was pretty crowded we figured with four people a normal table would be better. I asked the man working at the front if we could get a table for four. He appeared to have the authority of the owner or the manager. His attitude was extremely hostile right off the bat. He near-shouted at me, "if you're not going to all be getting FOOD AND DRINKS, you better go to the bar". The bar wasn't even an option because it was crowded. He was very dismissive and condescending. His attitude was very much "get these twenty-somethings out of my face and go black out on the other side." Mind you, the bar is relatively busy, but it's a cold rainy weekday in December. I have been to MUCH busier restaurants any night of the week that maintain integrity in their process.I explained to him that I wanted a TABLE to EAT FOOD, and not without giving us a hard time for our friend who had not yet arrived, he took our names down. I wasn't even actually sure that he was giving us a table because his attitude was completely dismissive and his response to me asking to take a name down was just an eye roll. This guys attitude would be more appropriate in a Manhattan four star restaurant than an irrelevant Doylestown dump. I was getting pretty pissed off by his attitude but was like, okay, he's just a sassy old dude having a bad night... Perhaps I'm taking this too personally. As I'm having this thought, I watch him shamelessly talk to one of the women on the staff in such a nasty way that it makes me physically uncomfortable. This is what crossed the line from "this guy is rude" to "other people need to know how horrible this experience is". After 15 minutes or so we get a table. Our waitress confirms we are of age and gets our orders, then awkwardly has to to come back because her manager (obviously the same guy) insisted that he double check our IDs. He took our cards for at least 10 minutes which was very strange but honestly the least problematic occurrence of the night. Good thing our waitress was a total sweetheart which helped the vibe. I would only go back to Pocos if I was deeply confused or in a depressive state and desperately trying to get f***rd up on half-priced margaritas. Food is fine. Drinks are fine. The weird container you serve salsa out of is very unappealing. It's not an enjoyable experience. If you do decide to go, make sure to go for the side salad. (pictured)

Yelp
The definition of insanity is: Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results! Tonight we decided, at the last moment, to give Pocos another try. Having been out downtown and heading home we thought 'what the hell, give Pocos another chance, maybe they have made great strives to improve their operation'. So we stopped in, restaurant was empty and the bar had only a couple of patrons. Knowing that they had tvs we thought we could watch the Steelers game and have some drinks and apps to finish our Sunday out. Well, they did put the game on but no sound, when we asked for the sound to be turned on, the bartender told us that it was a rule that only he Eagles game and Monday night football had sound, no other football game, per the owner. This place continues to tell me, it is the owners rules, period!!! Customers, go F*&^ Yourself!!!! Well we can definitely tell you, we plan on taking your advice, will take pleasure watching you and your business die and become a distant memory. We will do everything in our power to tell others of our experiences, and if we can influence people to seek better establishments and spending their money elsewhere, we will do so! Our only sorrow, spending our hard earned money at a thankless, inhospitable and pathetic business trying to be a restaurant. Our sincere apologizes to the staff,we know you are only trying to make a living. We recommend you look elsewhere before it is too late......

Brian B.

Yelp
UPDATE: to clarify, this review was written several weeks after the incident, and it most certainly did happen, Michelle. The individual was an older man with white hair and glasses and I distinctly remember him giving us a snarky attitude for not having every single person there ready to go at the same time to the extent where we decided not to go. And to further clarify, just because you're busy or have been in business for years doesn't mean your food is good or your colloquial reviews are satisfactory. I never leave reviews on yelp so the fact that I went out of my way to write this one review should be a testament to the truth of this incident occurring.

Liz K.

Yelp
kaitlyn was great server. yummy drinks, good comedy. caesar wrap was ehh. the Mexican food looked really good and the energy in the establishment was nice.

Jack H.

Yelp
I have been to Poco's twice and I would say I was disappointed both times. The food is bland as many have pointed out in other reviews. They have strange rules about every single person in your party being present before being seated, but that's kind of unfair if 90% of your party is there and one person is running late. The staff aren't very welcoming although the servers are wonderful and extremely attentive. If you really want to go here, I would stick with the drinks and the free chips and Costco salsa. For real food, I suggest Mesquito Grille for awesome wings and amazing margaritas (especially made by Nick).

Carl V.

Yelp
Went to Peco's before the Comedy show with some friends. Our waiter was very attentive, I would say our service was excellent. However, the food was not so good. My wife got the grilled fish tacos which she said was good. I ordered the beef fajitas. The beef in my fajitas was so tough, my jaw was sore from chewing. My son ordered the New York strip steak which had no flavor. The steak literally had no taste. Over all I would say it was the worst meal I have ever had.

Jeanette G.

Yelp
We are from California traveling through and stopped here for dinner. The food was great and the Margaritas were wonderful. Service from Zack was also great. They also serve wine from the Valle de Guadalupe located in Northern Baja California. If you are looking for great Mexican food and drinks I would recommend that you come to Poco's

April H.

Yelp
Poco's has been around a long time and I have been there a few times over the years. This is a casual restaurant and bar with a comedy club upstairs. The bar room has a large 2-sided bar with dining tables on both sides of the bar, plus there is a separate dining room. There is a large selection of draft beer and cocktails. I had the house margarita and the hubs had Dos Equis on tap. The marg was made with Cuervo and triple sec, had the right amount of tang and wasn't overly sweet. We sat in the back room by the bar with a large group of friends on a Sunday night. There are hooks on the walls for bags and jackets, which is helpful in the winter since the seating in that room is all high top tables and stools. The walls are made up of windows that are actually roll up doors to allow for an indoor/outdoor effect during nice weather. The service was good. We had a very helpful waiter, who knew the menu and was able to make recommendations. We were served complimentary chips with 2 types of salsa. One was a milder chunky salsa and the other was a zestier pureed style salsa. We ordered guacamole for the chips. The guac was good, but not the best I've ever had. For dinner, I opted for a daily special of shrimp stuffed avocado. It was a halved avocado stuffed with chopped grilled shrimp and pico de gallo, served over a bed of romaine with a creamy house made dill dressing. This was one of the best salads I have had in a while! It was very fresh, flavorful, and had the right amount of spiciness. The hubs had the Korean pulled pork tacos, also from the daily special menu. His was a generous portion of 3 soft tacos filled with pork and topped with slaw, avocado and cheese. He said they were very tasty.

Yelp
Usually really enjoy coming here. But this evening they let us down a lot. Waited over 40 minutes for food that included soup, and appetizer and 2 simple entrees. Even mentioned politely that we were on a slightly tight time schedule. After 40 minutes told them it would have to be to go and waited another 15 minutes. Check overcharged us on drinks and when we got the food home the order wasn't right. This was on a Wednesday evening so it wasn't even very busy. Our server was fairly good mannered but never offered the customary chips and salsa and was not attentive to our long wait. All this for almost $100. Just not acceptable.

Yelp
What do you get when you cross a bad American restaurant with a bad Mexican restaurant? You get a really bad Mexican American restaurant. I tried this place at 5:30pm on October 15, 2018. I had chips and salsa, the 9-Layer Dip and a house margarita on the rocks. The margarita was strong, but that's pretty much the only good thing I can say about this place. The mild 'salsa' tasted like it was straight up canned tomato purée with no spices. The 9-Layer Dip was ridiculously bad. It was a plate heaped high with shredded iceberg lettuce, diced tomatoes, Jalapeño rings and nothing else that I could see. When I dug way down into my 9-Layer Dip, I found a few beans, a little bit of sour cream, a bit of shredded, tasteless cheese and about 8 little pieces of a diced onions. This was the most bland, unappetizing thing I've been served at a restaurant in years. It's like this place buys everything in pre-made bags in a grocery store and just dumps them on a restaurant plate when you order. They can't even be bothered to sprinkle on a few spices. The people at the bar look happy, so for that reason only, I gave Poco's two stars instead of one. I gave them the benefit of the doubt on the off chance that their bartenders and cocktails are good. But their food is definitely sub-par if my dinner was any indication.

Yelp
Going for the Bar experience is acceptable, but for "dinner", still a big No. As of 7-2017

Yelp
My fiance and I went back to Poco's last night and it was a much better experience! I didn't contact the manager about our most recent visit, before or during, so if you're reading this, kuddos to the staff and food! I ordered the skinny margarita again, it was strong and flavorful. I also tried the "freshly squeezed margarita" which is just the alcohol and lime juice...similar to the skinny margarita but without the club soda. It was also strong and flavorful. My fiance ordered a regular margarita and had to stop after one so he could drive home ok, and he enjoyed his strong margarita (I tried a sip as well, delicious). Did I say STRONG enough? That's how we like it, and Poco's delivered! The chicken fajitas were delicious. Usually I don't like fajitas unless served in a sizzling skillet, but this entree exceeded expectations. The red peppers and onions were cooked thoroughly and seasoned well, just like the chicken. I praise any restaurant that is generous with red peppers in fajitas as they cost more than other peppers, and a lot of places will only serve a couple of red slices with a ton of green peppers. My plate was full of red peppers and onions, perfect! The chicken was plentiful as well, my fiance helped finish mine after he devoured his steak fajitas. The beans and rice were tasty. The salsas and guacamole were fresh and delicious this time! We are picky with guac and thoroughly enjoyed it with our fajitas. I don't like guac with a strong lime flavor, and Poco's made it well! I can't say "fresh" enough...that's the best word to describe the food. The only downside is that I asked for water first with our margarita order and never received it, then our waiter was busy with other tables as well, so it was difficult to catch him to ask again. Water needs to be automatically delivered with the chips and salsa as you need it for the chips alone, but especially with margaritas added! We visited right when happy hour was ending, so it was busy in the back bar area. We will definitely make this one of our regular spots for a fun, casual, dining out experience, especially when craving Mexican food. I like that the back bar area has a classy feel, but you are perfectly comfortable wearing yoga pants and a sweatshirt there. :) The wait staff is always nice too. Happy hour is from 4pm-6pm during the week with half off drinks and appetizers, so need to try that next!

Yelp
Stopped by for a comedy show and had some food downstairs while waiting. The service was great as well as the food. I was initially not impressed by the portion of food in comparison to other taco joints by was impressed with their quality. Would stop by again for a night of great food and entertainment all under one roof.

Yelp
So I've never had poco's in person before but because of Covid I saw them on DoorDash soo we decided to order & It was absolutely the best decision ever! Every time we order it's soo good! They even wrote on my burrito which was HUGE! Bigger than my hand that's for sure. It was delicious and surprisingly still warm even though it was cold out. My boyfriend had gotten the chimichangas and he loved It every time! Their Queso is 100% not store bought. It's legit queso and it's made with real cheese and salsa , we get mushrooms in ours and it's delicious! We also always get the chili! It's perfect and has a good kick to it. I love it. This place is 10/10 food wise. I can't speak for the inside of the place since I've never been but our food has always been great and I will continue to order and support this business! I promise I will visit inside the place soon! We order from here probably once a week or once every two weeks! Highly recommend if you're craving Mexican food!

Yelp
Had a very pleasant experience at Poco's amid all the craziness of COVID, Lexi and Katie took excellent care of us. Will definitely be back here more often!

Yelp
The drinks are pretty good if you're a fan of margaritas. The food is freshly prepared and waiting staff is very friendly make you feel right at home.

Yelp
I love Poco's. Maybe it's not authentic Mexican food but Tex-Mex can be equally as good. Plus they have some American additions (Burgers, Wings, Cheesesteak Eggrolls, and FRIED PICKLES) on the menu. I highly recommend the Pickle Pickle. It's my favorite fried pickle appetizer in the area. I find myself comparing other pickles to this. It's only 4 spears so you can definitely eat an order yourself. It comes with a yogurt dill sauce that is drinkable. It's a very fun and friendly atmosphere. The service is fast! FYI - Half Priced Margaritas on Thursdays!

Yelp
The burrito at Poco's is more akin to something you'd get in your grade school cafeteria rather than something that you would see at a restaurant for adults. It is mushy and incoherent. The side salad it comes with is hilariously low effort. Both mild and "super spicy" salsas taste of tomato paste and laziness. All throughout my lunch, I closed my eyes and prayed that I would be magically transported to Chipotle. I found that, like a million times before, even the wish that's wished the hardest will often go unanswered. No, I'm not comparing this to "traditional Mexican" in the hopes that it stands up. I'm simply comparing this to "any other lunch option." It makes me sad to think this way because I know that they read these reviews and care about their business but seriously, you guys need to step up your game. Lunch dollar competition in Doylestown isn't too fierce. A little cilantro or salsa that tastes better than the Tostitos jars is a step in the right direction.

Yelp
I'm not a fan of everything they have and have had several bad meals. However I do like their quesadillas, nachos, chicken enchilada, Pocochilada and potato skins. The chips and salsa is ok but the chips seem to always be fresh and not stale. I made the mistake of ordering the fajitas once and won't do it again. I'm from Texas and love Tex-mex but do not understand when fajitas are not served on a cast iron skillet. Even Chilis gets their fajitas right. I also don't like that you have to pay extra for beans and rice I think that's just a staple with every Mexican dish and should be included. Another thing is their fountain drinks are not good. They use a off brand for cokes and sprite etc and it's just bad. Ending on a positive the service has been overall good for the most part and out of the Mexican in Doylestown I'll go here unless I want to drive to Chilis or Taco Bell.

Yelp
The blandest food I have ever eaten. I ordered their version of a Cobb salad and added chipotle chicken. The salad came chopped with maybe one half of a sliced egg and chicken that was so tasteless I thought it was boiled in water and left to dry on a countertop. The only reason I gave them 2 stars was because the service was great and the drinks were decent. My takeaway, just come for drinks.

Yelp
Pocos or should I say "joke os" This place makes my moms boiled hotdogs look good. If I didn't know any better I thought I was in the hood. I'm not gonna lie the music was on point. Playing rap songs while sipping tequila really helped my joints. When I first bit into my taco my expression was priceless. It reminded me of the time when I thought I was homeless. Would I go back? 100%. How could you go wrong when you play rap songs like that. Some may say the food was mediocre. However, I here they do comedy night with some pretty good jokesters. On this note, order a shot of don Julio and relax. Your gonna need it after being disappointed paying that food tax. Yours truly, Dave and Jess (Jess wrote this) Anonymous
