The Best Korean Fusion Dishes in Metro Atlanta - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"Located in Gwinnett, Poetree is a cute Korean cafe with post-it notes along one wall where you’ll see a mix of patrons, from elders to tattooed, artsy types. Because we’re suckers for tasty Italian and a perfectly fried porkchop, we're in love with their donkatsu dish. As a Korean spin on the Japanese breaded deep fried pork cutlet, this shareable entrée is served with linguini, tossed in a creamy garlic sauce with mussels, head-on shrimp, and clams. It’s good good. Plus, it’s served with banchan, which can be dongchimi kimchi or kkakdugi kimchi. We’re "those people" who add chili flakes to our pasta every time, so ask for the habanero chili powder if you want to spice things up." - lamara davidson

Atmosphere is nice I like the decor design. Food got one star because it’s a basic pasta and sauce but was really shocking is what you get for $18!Literally one shrimp and two empty shrimp heads three mussels and two clams. Clams were the cheapest clams I think you can buy and mussels are cheap anyway so I am really surprised they only supplied three! Service was poor, no greeting just are you ready to order and once the food was brought to me came back when I was about done before asking if I needed anything smh.

Google
The staff sat my boyfriend and I right away. Our entrees came out hot and in good portion sizes. Atmosphere is nice, there is some background noise going on by the way (K-pop). My boyfriend & I could still hear each other pretty well while conversing. Overall, we would definitely visit this restaurant again. 10/10 (:

Phenomenal experience from the service to the food. UFO fried rice with kimchi & spam was delightful especially in combination with the oozy steamy bed of corn cheese. We also enjoyed the donkatsu poetree pasta but thought some portions of the cutlet was a bit tough, nonetheless delicious. Great vibes and decor as well.

Google
Beautiful space and great service! Food was okay, the seafood pasta was good but mostly only pasta, and the beef vegetable bowl (bulgogi) was okay. I would not order the bowl again, it wasn’t bad but I personally believe there’s better things, the kimbap was great!

Google
I’m surprised by the waiter Is only one person working/hosted/serving/taking orders/cleaning etc He does a really good job. First time here and i don’t know if always is like this. I love the food here and the portions

Google
My husband and I loved the atmosphere here , very chill vibes and the food came out pretty quick . Fresh and hot and everything we had was absolutely delicious! Servers were nice too . We will definitely be back and highly recommend!

Google
As a Korean restaurant, it surprisingly offers a variety of specialty dishes—a fusion of Asian and Western cuisine. The food is both distinctive and delicious. Kimbap is my favorite, and the prices are very affordable. The environment is also excellent.

Google
This is a cute restaurant with a nice variety of dishes. I've tried their pastas, kimbap, fried chicken wings, and teokbokki. Everything has tasted great. They have good portion sizes too. The service might be a bit inconsistent sometimes, like my kimbap didn't arrive until the rest of our food was almost all eaten and the iced coffee tasting different between visits

Yelp
I always thought this place was a cafe because of the name and never knew they had dishes like pasta! We tried the donpasta and loved the creamy carbonara with the crispy katsu. Its a great combo and a good portion. The dish was about $20. We also tried the ufo kimchi and spam combo for $15. With the cheese corn. We paid for the 3.99 add on sweet potato cheese ball. The rice was good but I didnt think it stood out as much, especially because the kimchi fried rice is something I make at home too. The sweet potato ball was just okay. I brought home a part of the ufo and it heated up well with all the cheese. Still enjoyable. Dishes range from $15 to 20! Service was friendly and you get a pitcher of water at the table. Id go back for the don pasta!

Yelp
So...here I was again, but this time, not so good. As much as I love this restaurant (I mean how great is this idea of a Tonkatsu Bowl??), things are a bit inconsistent. It's like I LOVE it, then hate it, etc.etc. This time, I tried this Tonkatsu Bowl w/ Tteokbokki (I forgot the name)...and also a side order of Corn Cheese. Well, as much as I anticipated a cute presentation of the Tonkatsu Bowl w/ Tteokbokki (as depicted in their ad), it was an utter mess! Primarily because they overloaded the bowl with a ton of tasteless raddish and onions (WAY too much!!)...not so much of the Tteokbokki In fact, the portion of the Tteokbokki itself was very small...it was mostly these chunky cuts of raddish and onions. ?!?!? They also overloaded the sauce. You could barely see the Tonkatsu Bowl. Basically, the presentation was terrible...a total mess!! The taste was good though...as the Tteokbokki wasn't too spicy, and their Tonkatsu is always good. As for the Corn Cheese, it was WAY too cheesy. I barely could taste the corn...just WAY too much cheese. Again, it was a total miss this time. *SIGH* The service was good...and again, I love this restaurant, and I did NOT want to go below 4 stars...but just look at my dish!! IT was a MESS. If this was any other restaurant, I would have rated 2 stars for what I got...but again, this is not a typical restaurant. Hopefully I can bump the ratings back up next time. I just wish they were more consistent with the foods and the presentation here.

Yelp
This was a tasty and heavy meal! Prepare to take a nap after. The carbonara was creamy and salty. The katsu paired nicely with it. The katsu was very thin, but because it's such a heavy meal I didn't mind it. We also got the basil clams pasta which was also tasty. The basil and clams flavor were light. I'm a big fan of clams, but preferred the carbonara over it.

Yelp
This place always hits, every option I've tried is always delicious. Perfect spot if u have a craving for korean food, pasta, or fried foods. Cozy "cottage in the woods" aesthetic for a cafe

Yelp
I came here on my actual birthday, daring to try something different. I finished a day at the spa and decided to pop in here for a meal. It was pretty much empty but I was grateful for that. The waitress was the sweetest person, bowing every time she delivered anything, menu, drink, food. The food came out pretty quickly, hot and smelling so good. I ordered a Carbonara Pasta in a Donkatsu bowl. It was so much food!!! I thoroughly enjoyed it. If you are in the Suwanee area, be sure to stop by and give them a try! Grade: B

Yelp
The food was decent. I felt like the portion sizes really varied from dish to dish. My boyfriend had the teriyaki pork belly and while it was delicious, it was more of an appetizer than a meal. I had the build your own UFO with the chicken fried rice, egg, and corn cheese. There was very little corn and that's kind of the reason I ordered the dish to begin with. I liked that the servers don't bother you constantly; if you need assistance you push the button. If you are the needy type of customer this isn't the place for you.

Yelp
The restaurant is very cozy and cute, not a lot of seating but it feels very home style and comforting. And the owner was very friendly and patient, serving all the parties. The menu items are unique unique with a lot of cheese and spicy goods sweet potato balls: this is such an amazing dish, especially if you are a cheese lover this will definitely be a must get. It's very similar to an Arancini but the interior is loaded with mushed sweet potato and cheese, which creates a great texture profile of pillowing softness in combination of the gooeyness of the cheese. The flavor is mildly sweet from the sweet potato, but the savory and creaminess of cheese isn't taken away but rather works well synchronized Sweet potato cheese donkatsu: flavoring and texture of the chicken steak stuffing is essentially the same as the sweet potato balls, but the ingredients are encased by a gigantic fried chicken streak. The inside filling is maximized nonetheless of the thinness of the steak. Upon a cut open, the interior sweet potato melted cheese filling oozes out

Yelp
Was searching for cafes and saw some photos and reviews of Poetree. The decor has an old farmhouse aesthetic. I arrived around 5:30pm on a Wednesday and there were only two tables there. It was busier closer to 6:30pm. I was expecting only a coffee house menu but they have a selection of entrees so you can have lunch or dinner here not just a snack. I went with the pork cheese skillet. They have a TV with K-Pop on it, but it isn't too loud. I didn't see a WiFi network and no signs of a password posted in the open. Bring your portable hotspot or read your Kindle or Nook while you wait. While waiting the server brought some radish banchan and some water. The skillet was more than enough for one person. It had pork, cabbage, and onion and a Korean style BBQ sauce on the bottom. The next layer had one side of the skillet covered in mozzarella, the other half with cheddar. The top was covered in nachos. It was a delightful mixture of flavors and textures. It was good for dinner but it's also one of those things you would want late night. My experience here was pleasant and the food was amazing. It's one of those out of the way places that is a treasure if you know where to look.

Yelp
The food was very good and they only had one server for the entire restaurant, not sure what that was all about .

Yelp
I think it really depends on which menu item you get here. I loved their garlic pasta, but I didnt enjoy their other menu items.

Yelp
So upset I haven't been here sooner! I've heard of Poetree since they first opened their doors but I've just never made the initiative to stop by. This day my sisters and I decided to meet up for a quick lunch and chose Poetree since it's very close to one of my sister's place of work. Upon entering we were greeted by an outstanding waitress. She was the only one throughout the place and did an amazing job. Not to forget to add she was extremely polite to everyone that came in, greeting, servicing, taking payments, up to thanking us for coming and to have a good day. All the little bows were on another level. Foods we ordered had us all in awe. The donkatsu is definitely the star. And the donkatsu bowl is genius!! I especially loved how crispy the protein was even as leftovers! My least favorite had to have been the menchi donkatsu which I forgot to take a picture of.. it just wasn't what I was expecting. Overall we had a great lunch with plenty of leftovers and as my little nephew said everything was, "so yummy!"
google avatar

Feng W.

Yelp
Food is absolutely delicious. The portions are enormous and extremely generous with the seasoning and sides. Service was fast, food took almost little to no time coming out, and it is HOT! Poetree can get busy at times and the ambiance felt more akin to a restaurant than a cafe. Overall this place has been my all-time favorites and I would 1,000% recommend anyone-who is in the area-to give Poetree a try! No matter what you order, you cannot go wrong since everything is simply delicious to say the least. However I do personally recommend their katsu, the crispiness of the breading is TO DIE FOR!!!!

Yelp
Great food. I also had katsu but i was filled with the kimpab so I took it to go ! Service was quick. I didnt go when it was busy (Saturday at like 2pm) and it was nice and chill. I went by myself and had a great time. They were playing music.

Yelp
This place has been on my list for a while. Finally we came on a weekday afternoon. Nice decorations and cozy cafe. Food were very good and flavorful, creamy and cheesy. Sweet Potatoes with melted mozzarella cheese , good appetizers to start with. Love the seafood pasta with rich and flavorful creamy sauce with al-dente pasta. Next time I'd love to try their spicy dishes. The UFO beef fried rice looked exactly alike on the menu. Taste very good, you just can't stop eating! The only thing if the cheese can be completely melted would be perfect. Staff was very friendly and attentive. She kept coming back and checking to see if everything is good. Definitely will come back for more.

Yelp
I should go here more often.. Their dishes still taste great after all these years. Their portions are always big too. I love Al the dishes I tried here especially their pasta and donkatsu. Their service is pretty good too. Parking is available. My ratings explained 1 - more like 0...Do not go 2 - below average 3 - Average and would prob go again 4 - Really good but can use a few tweaks 5 - GREAT! I would go tomorrow again!

Yelp
Chicken Donkatsu with Carbonara Pasta was good. Chicken was a little dry and thin. Pasta was good. It was filling. Took half home and ate it later. Good vibe inside. Lots of unique dishes to choose from. Friendly staff. They have bells on the tables to get your servers attention. I would come back but try a different dish.
google avatar

Yelp
Yummy spot for lunch! We ordered the donkatsu and seafood pasta, a very generous portion so we shared between the two of us. Service was great and the cafe is very cute! It feels very homey. I'll definitely be back to try their other dishes!

Yelp
It was pleasant experience to share. The food mainly is fusion style, you could find flavors of Korean, Japanese, Italian and Mexican. The place is not big, about 15-20 tables. The service was courteous. Here is few dishes we ordered and shared: Sweet Potato Fried Balls: it was crispy outside and creamy inside, good design, but tasted little funny, I think chewy sweet rice flour could be better filler; donkatsu + pasta: this is their signature plate, the dish is originated from Japan, with twisted Italian pasta, truly a fusion food, it combines both flavor very well, pork part was crispy and chewy, it's also good with pasta sauce; spicy chicken skillet: it was another great fusion food, based on Mexican beef tacos, with a lot of onions and replaced tomato paste with Kimchi soup; UFO: again it tasted good, but not too much to write about, personally i think the fried rice was too soft and sticky, I prefer to bite grains of rice.

Yelp
When I told my friend I never been here, she was in utter shock and after having their food, I'm also in utter shock. LOL This restaurant offers different style donkatsu, pastas, and Korean food. We had the Donkatsu with carbonara pasta and tuna kimbap. The Donkatsu topped with the pasta was sooooo delicious. The kimbap was so tasty and was not dry. I'm already craving this place as I write this review. Enjoy :) - Instagram: Travelfoodie_ishy

Yelp
The service was okay and the food isn't bad. I tried this place multiple times and it's just not my go to. I truly wanted to like this place, but I just didn't. I would still recommend you try it. The ambiance was very nice though.

Yelp
My best friend and I came for a dinner date. We love trying new restaurants and came across Poetree Cafe. It wasn't to far from us, we were driving from the flowery branch area. It is a cute small restaurant, cute decorations all over. I ordered some pasta with a nice cream and bacon bits on top, my friend ordered a seafood noodle, both were full of flavor and absolutely delicious. We got some fried dumplings and a sweet potato ball filled with cheese and a cream to dip it in. It was also very tasty. Overall the waitress was so patient with us since it was our first time and explained everything perfect for us. I felt bad that she was running around by herself and it was a busy Friday night. She was super kind and sweet to us. We also got a side of cheese corn! My fav!! 10/10

Yelp
Can't stop recommending this place to friends and family. It's a casual place for a quick meal. I've tried most of the things in the menu and everything has been good. The portions and flavors are always consistent. I recommend the donkatsu pasta, ufo, sweet potato cheese balls, and the tuna gimbap! Huge respect for the servers who are always friendly and quick despite working on their own.

Yelp
One of the coziest cafes I've been to in Georgia, Poetree is a great hangout/study spot. Alongside this, it has a wide variety of food on the menu, mostly Korean foods. Even when busy, food tends to come out quickly and maintain high quality and large portion sizes. As of recent, prices have even gone down. The normal kimbap was refreshing and high quality, but was also extremely affordable. Definitely a must order if you come to Poetree. The carbonara also came with a Tonkatsu cutlet which was massive. The portions at Poetree aren't to be underestimated, in fact it's the largest I've encountered at Korean cafes. Quality wise, the pasta was average in my opinion, but nonetheless delicious and very cheesy. I would've preferred more bacon bits, but overall it was a solid dish. Warning, if you order it be prepared to take home leftovers or share with another person. The Tonkatsu was very thin and extremely crunchy. Alone, the flavor is average and exactly what you'd expect, but I preferred to dip it in the Carbonara sauce or the Tonkatsu sauce it came with. Honestly, I don't think I'd order the Tonkatsu again as it didn't stand out much for me. Overall, a very solid cafe which I'd recommend anyone to go to for amazing food and the ambiance. Will definitely be going back to try more dishes.

Yelp
We went here for my 10year olds birthday as he wanted kimbap and donkatsu. First time there and we loved really enjoyed their donkatsu and fried sweet potato balls. The kimbap were good, but we had better. We have nut allergies and we were ok after eating here.
google avatar

Yelp
I love this authentic and cozy Korean restaurant. It feels like I'm eating inside a secret tree house. The food is very comforting. My favorite is the seafood white noodle soup called Jjampong Cream Dukboki. It's gotta kick to it and the flavor is out of this world. I even tried it to go and it was still good because they separate the noodle and broth for you. You just have to assemble it together. They also have kimbap and it was very affordable. The amount of food you get for the price you pay is so worth it.
google avatar

Henry L.

Yelp
One word: Wow! At first I was skeptical about having Korean with Italian food, but this place is amazing! All the dishes were delicious and the prices were reasonable. My favorite out of these dishes were the big fried cheese balls. They were yummy and reminded me of the state fair in NC. I will definitely need to come back for this. The noodles combined with the tonkatsu was something! Food: great Staff: nice Atmosphere: relaxing I recommend coming here if you haven't already! I will be back when I visit ATL.

Yelp
Wonderful Korean spot in Suwanee,GA! I loved my fried rice stone bowl. A very cozy and quaint atmosphere with quick service for lunch. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Yelp
super cute little place with amazing food. we also got korean corn cheese which was pretty good.

Yelp
One of the best spots in Lawrenceville hands-down. Food is always amazing. Service is excellent and the vibe inside is all you can ask for.

Yelp
A cozy, quaint place with hearty and filling food! Nice ambiance and cute lighting + decorations, great place for a date. Staff is quite friendly. Pricing is reasonable although a little on the $ side for what you are getting. I got the donpas (donkatsu + pasta) with chicken katsu and basil pasta. Pasta was creamy and cooked to perfection, and katsu is perfectly and large kn portion size. However, both lacked a little flavor. The kimchi tried rice is delicious as well with the same issue - a little bland (we were not given spice options, but you can ask for gochujang to up the spice!) The cubed radish kimchi was also a little mild, not as sour and crunchy as I have had at other places. The seafood pasta and fried rice are both very delicious and I really recommend them! The pasta is heavy on shrimp flavor but still generous with other shellfish. Overall, awesome place. I would recommend to anyone that is newly trying Korean cuisine and wants to start with popular Korean-western options! If I could give a more accurate rating, I'd give it an 8.5/10!

Yelp
Hallelujah I've been set free! My Korean food chains have been broken lol. It's been a long time coming, but Poetree has literally changed my entire outlook on Korean Cuisine. To understand my struggle and my eventual breakthrough, I present my backstory. See I have a little cousin that although is Caribbean born, all but identifies as Korean. She cooks Korean, studies the culture, listens to the music, watches the shows, and teaches herself the language. On a recent trip to H mart(huge Korean supermarket), the employees all complimented her on her Korean pronunciation. Yes, she's in deep. She also loves to tag along on my travels, thus we end up going to countless Korean restaurants around the country. Being a good sport, I usually muster through...although never really enjoying it....until this day. Just one look at the front entrance and I can already see this is going to be special. Poetree is reminiscent of walking into a mountainside cabin, a beautiful setting with unique touches. And speaking of unique, the menu is unlike any Korean menu I've seen. Stone bowls, kimbab, and noodles are a few of the options. But I had absolutely no idea that Italian pasta was a thing in Korea. Carbonara pasta ON TOP of donkatsu? This is truly a revelation. I came for the Korean fried chicken, and sure it was delicious, but something else won me over entirely. I present to you kimchi fried rice, with spam, sitting on a bed of cheese and corn. Yes, it sounds rather strange and even intimidating. As a matter of fact, I don't like kimchi in the slightest bit. Somehow, to my delight, it all works. The kimchi, spam, cheese and corn...Not a single ingredient over-powers the other. Days later, even the reheated version was spectacular. Every single thing we ordered was amazing, but with that being said, this dish is everything! I sit here trying to find a single flaw. From the dishes(which I had plenty of on this single trip, don't judge!), to the portion sizes, the quality, the prices, and even the lovely wait staff. I've got nothing. Poetree, you've won my heart.....

Yelp
Came here craving pasta so I decided to get their pasta with Poetree sauce with the tonkatsu. The pasta was well cooked and the tonkatsu was very large and very flat. The meet was cooked well and is honestly best eaten right when it comes out of the kitchen. My friends got the carbonara sauce and fried rice and I got to try some of it and they were also delicious. Next time I come here, I'll definitely try their UFO fried rice.

Yelp
It's been a minute since we've been back here but definitely did not disappoint! Menchi donkatsu- super crunchy and fresh, not oily either! Sauce had a good tangy kick to it. Teriyaki pork belly- always one of our favorites here. We went here today for July 4th lunch and it was fairly busy with one one waitress who was also bussing tables. Although she seemed super busy and overwhelmed I appreciate that she tried to do the best she could to make sure everyone there was taken care of!
google avatar

Jen L.

Yelp
We came around ~7 pm on a Friday night! They were super busy but also seemed slightly understaffed. There was one waitress taking all the orders and she had to seemingly bring out and bus all the tables by herself as well. Would definitely be sensitive to that for any potential delays in service but the restaurant may want to consider adding one or two waiters, especially during busy times! We ordered the donpatsa (donkatsu bowl with basil cream pasta) and the UFO bowl with beef fried rice. As expected, both were pretty heavy but rich in flavor. The basil cream sauce was very creamy and the pasta perfectly al dente. The donkatsu was a little small, and we expected it to be more "bowl like" but it was a little flat. It was super thin and very breaded. Definitely a heavy meal. The beef fried rice was really good! It had solid pieces of carrots and green beans, which I really enjoyed, and melty cheese on top. The egg and corn "wing" was a little thin, so didn't have the fluffiness I was expecting. Overall, Poetree is a pretty cozy restaurant with plenty of Asian fusion comfort food. Would recommend giving it a try.

Yelp
Poetree has a really cute, treehouse-like atmosphere when you walk in. I ordered the Teriyaki Style Pork Belly, which came on a huge plate adorned with lettuce and onions, as well as a side of rice. The pork belly was really nicely cooked and was definitely a gigantic portion for $15. The teriyaki made it a little sweet but nicely made, like you would expect at KBBQ or something similar. Overall, very nice ambiance and great food with huge portions for good prices. You also definitely have to try their donkatsus, which are also gigantic!

Yelp
I have been wanting Donkatsu and Pasta from Poetree for ages and FINALLY made the trip up to Suwanee on a whim. I finally got to order the Donpas and I wasn't disappointed. I've been to Poetree a couple times now, and recently, I came "during COVID" and didn't feel uncomfortable dining indoors - it wasn't seem very busy and we were properly social distanced. The Donpas is a ton of food and perfect for bulking season or carbo-loading... Or just wanting to eat fried cutlet and pasta. Because why not. I've gotta come back and try their other pasta and cutlet combinations because I'm pretty sure I got the same dish twice. Even so, it's worth the drive up 85 to Suwanee! I can't resist red sauce so I always order the Poetree Pasta sauce, which is a typical red sauce but hits so good with the Donkatsu. We have also tried the sweet potato donkatsu to switch things up and it was cheesy and tasty (made for a perfect cheese pull) but was a little boring in flavor compared to the Donkatsu BOWL filled with pasta. Overall, a must try if you're in the area, at least to try that infamous Donpas one time.

Yelp
I've gone to Poetree consistently for at least the past 6 years and it's usually a hit or miss with service but the past few times have unfortunately been all misses. FOOD: Chicken Fried Rice UFO with egg and corn cheese ($13.21) - The fried rice included a good portion of chicken, along with carrots, onions, and green onions. Somehow even with all these ingredients, the taste overall was really really bland. Not salty, not sweet, but just cheesy and oily. SERVICE: There was one server working and one person cooking the food so I had to wait ~10 minutes just to be seated even when there were lots of empty tables since they hadn't been cleared or cleaned yet. Service was incredibly slow and they were really backed up in orders. When we eventually got our water, the cups were dirty and had stuff in it but we couldn't even flag down the server because he was too busy.

Yelp
Their food is unique and very tasty. I usually go with the shrimp Alfredo or the beef(ribeye) fried rice. Service is great as well, always friendly whether I dine in or get it to go

Yelp
Great food and portions at Poetree Cafe. This spot is tucked away so I'm so glad a friend recommended for us to try it out. The menu has some great korean and korean fusion options. We went with the donkatsu carbonara which was super creamy and went great with the thin and crispy chicken which I do wish had a bit more flavor itself. We also got the chicken wings - half soy garlic and spicy garlic and they were awesome. Small and perfectly fried without being too heavy. The spicy garlic definitely pack a punch but are awesome followed by the pickled radish that is brought to the table. These two were definitely good to split to get a mix of the creamy and milder flavors along side the crispy and spicy wings. The atmosphere and space is decorated super cute and homey, however because we came in later in the day and during what I assume to be a staff shortage the surrounding tables still had all the dirty dishes on it. Overall great food and quick service so I will absolutely return for more of the menu when I'm in the area. The noodles and cheese skillets are on my list next.

Yelp
December 2022. Yoo google fam - Atlanta is lit and so is the food. Recs are the bottom. Poetree is located at the end of a small shopping strip and has a cozy and warm aesthetic to it. My group and I ordered three dishes: a spicy pork nacho dish, ufo bowl, and a shrimp pasta. Okay, I know the pork nacho dish sounds weird - but hear me out, it's a concoction of thin slices of pork, onions, cheese, nacho chips and some other things that I have no clue... but lemme tell you - that shii was so good. If you like nachos, you'll be sure to like this... The shrimp pasta was good too! Nothing too special aside it being a pasta but it was worth. Very big portion sizes. Last was the UFO bowl, a plate of fried rice with a sauce of your choice, as also got a piece of donkatsu as an add on, however, unfortunately this one didn't standout too much for me. It just felt kind of plain, but it was okay, not sure if I'd get it again. Service was good and attentive. There's a call bell in case if you need something from the staff!! Highly recommend this place to you all!! Give it a try! ALSO - happy new years yelpstafam! Recommendations: - Spicy Pork Nachos - Shrimp Pasta

Yelp
Their basil pasta is my favorite! Also the tuna kimbop is great. I love the atmosphere and the layout of the place.

Yelp
I've eaten a variety of different foods here and honestly they are all pretty good. I especially love their pastas- it's more of a fusion style with Korean cuisine and I think it tastes pretty solid. However, I was disappointed by the quality of their tonkatsu. It's literally as thin as paper and you can barely taste the meat, it basically tastes like cardboard. I would personally advise against getting the katsu.

Yelp
Cozy spot and yummy food! I really enjoyed the donkatsu pasta... you DEFINITELY get your moneys worth, the dish was huge! They did seem a bit busy and there looked like there was only one server on the floor trying his best to help all the tables

Yelp
Perfect style and taste. If you are looking for a modern-day Korean-style restaurant that has a diverse menu, then this spot is great! Also, it's also perfect for going on dates like in a K-Drama. _________________________________________________________ PARKING | [When arriving at the location, the store is small and the parking lot is small as well. It's in a very, hard to find, shopping spot where there is literally only a limited amount of parking with 5 stores connected to each other. So best, if you are in a group, is to ride in one or fewer cars.] _________________________________________________________ EXTERIOR & INTERIOR | [You won't be able to see the exterior of the building until you pull into the downhill parking lot of the storefronts, which then you will see the sign for the restaurant. When you walk inside, you are welcomed with a nice, energetic "Hello" from the staff. You will see a very cute design setup with a very cafe vibe feel of the store with furnish being a lot of wood. The store is literally designed in a very cute way and how you see cute restaurants in Korea nowadays. And if you are into K-Drama, it almost gives that feel that you are living in a K-Drama right now!] _________________________________________________________ IS IT CLEAN? | [For the most part, they do keep things clean around the tables and area.] _________________________________________________________ FOOD & DRINKS | [The food was immaculate! For the taste, combination, and preparation of the dishes, you will not be disappointed. We ordered 3 things off the menu: Spice Pesco Pasta, Oyster Jjampong, and fried squid. Each dish was fresh and was put to care like the food really matter to them. The spice pesco pasta had an amazing taste and spice level where neither was overpowering and had a great amount of seafood. The only correction I would have is to overcook the shrimp because while some people like shrimp a little firm, it is better when its a little softer when it just melts in your mouth, and when you bight through it, it's like biting through butter which is smooth and soft. The Oyster Jjampong was great. The soup was my favorite part of the dish and everything else was amazing as well. They put in a generous amount of oysters and the noodles were perfect. Then the fried squid was soft and nice. I would prefer more crunchy and less batter, but if you think about it, you can compensate for the extra fluff by dipping it into the sauces of the dishes that you order and enjoy a flavorful blast!] _________________________________________________________ SERVICE ‍‍| [The service was well on point. The staff was welcoming and helpful while you are dinning in with them. They make sure to have your dishes on time and was doing a great job to make sure you were taken care of.] _________________________________________________________ OVERALL | [If you are wanting to experience a little bit of Korea as a dating experience or experience the dining of Korea itself, then this is your place right here. They literally have everything setup to give you that full experience as you would in Korea. I just wish they would be in a much bigger or open space where more people can see them because they should be recognized more than where they are right now!]

Yelp
Poetree is a staple Korean fushion place in Georgia. The carbonara pasta is so so delicious! Creamy and rich. The ufo is a great dish to share with friends. It a large portion size and includes your choice of sauce, fried rice and topping (like donkatsu for an extra cost). It's a very filling dish. One limitation of Poetree is the quality of the donkatsu. They give you a lot, but it isn't the best quality. Its thinner and less tasty compared to other donkatsu dishes I've had in Georgia. It's perfectly good to get as a side dish- but I wouldn't recommend getting it as your main. Overall I'd definitely recommend coming to Poetree if you love rich, decadent and filling food!
