"Besides hosting concerts, art exhibitions, and live performances, this ex-storage space turned squat cultural institution on the Canal Saint-Martin is also home to one of the area's best bars. On busy days, the local art and hipster crowd spills out onto the banks of the canal with beers and affordable cocktails from noon until...whenever."

Lovely, artsy place along the Canal Saint Martin, great to have drinks. They often have events and when I visited there was a small artist market.

Google
Very nice and hidden hang out place with the benefits of the calm of the Canal Saint-Martin. There is often shows and concerts with a bar that offers plenty of drinks and foods that change regarding the menu. ⚠️ Beware : Google Maps indicates the entry on street level but its wrong -> you got to walk by the canal to be able to enter the place !

We were there for Emmaus kilosale. Place was lovely, especially the location that’s just by the Canal. We tried some beers: IPA, japanese and german one. I think IPA is the best. I haven’t been to another event here but planning to do so :)

Good place for a drink and some music

Cool canalside spot for a drink. Big outdoor terrace, lively but not too crowded, live DJ, liked the deco of the dance floor.

Great place. This building is 100 years old and has had many lives. Old Point P and since 2009, a place to eat and drink, with a stage nearby. Very particular and rare. Worth the visit.

A cool place! It was being repainted on the insides when I went there with a friend.. But the outdoor area is anyway nicer, you can also grab your drinks and sit by the water. So the setting is definitely great for days with good weather. The place is big so it's also a great option for big groups However, the prices are a bit high for what is offered and basically we had to figure out that there was no table service and we should go to the bar and order the drinks. There were no signs or anything

A very cool location especially the surrounding with the channel is beautiful and there is a metro station nearby. A great place to explore interesting people, the parisian underground and cultural events. We went to see Faux Real and had a very special evening. Don’t be too critical regarding the used look of the venue and enjoy the unique atmosphere in there!!! :)

Yelp
This is a review of Point Ephemere just as a bar/cafe. Point Ephemere is also an important rock club - a major player on the French music scene. Judging how good the bands are and how good this is as a place to listen to live music is a job for other reviewers and not me. Music clubs however don't make their money off of admission tickets to live shows. They make their money selling drinks and food. So the club stays open all day and the nights where no acts are scheduled to keep that all important drink money coming in. All signs are that from an economic standpoint, Point Ephemere is in good shape. The place is packed with young people and they are drinking up a storm. * * * Point Ephemere is located in the old Usine Ephemere. It is basically in an abandoned factory. Batman villains build headquarters in abandoned warehouses. Rock clubs locate in abandoned factories. It is on the Canal Saint Martin. The Canal Saint Martin used to be poor, industrial and down-at-heel. It is now yuppifying and cute with urban redevelopment occurring on all sides. Significantly, the canal attracts vast hordes of young people who hang out all day on the side of the canal, picnicking and having fun. The picnickers drop off somewhat by the time you get to Point Ephemere - But Point Ephemere caters to this college age clientele. The bar inside has lots of drinking space - some semi-outdoor facing the canal, and some just inside. It intentionally cultivates a look of Seattle style grunge. The rooms facing the canal have thick plastic sheets for windows and that is an intentional artistic choice. Bathrooms are ... well ... The drink menu runs towards college age rotgut. The main beer that everyone was having (including me) was Grolsch. Grolsch is get-you-drunk swill. Prices are DEFINITELY on the low side which is one of positives that pulls people through the door. * * * As a hangout and a drinking place, I was very much less than impressed. But you know .. All of that can become irrelevant if the band of your dreams is playing in the next room. In Austin, where I live, the Hotel Vegas is a dryrot infested slum. But they have enough room for four bands at a time. At least one of them is going to be really solid. So never judge a rock club by the quality of the real estate. Judging a drinking place by the quality of the real estate? Go for it.

Yelp
This place was a bit hard to find. Don't go by the Yelp map (it's waaay off). The address is correct though, so just look it up on Google Maps. It took us an additional 15 mins to walk to from where Yelp map pinned the location. But it was so worth it. You're RIGHT by the canal. Pretty much all locals. Young hip crowd, but not overly hip. Friendly waiters/waitresses who can speak English. Food was alright, huge portions, and the cheeseburger was pretty good. You're not really here for the food anyways, it's the whole laid-back atmosphere, the outdoor dining, the awesome location, the graffiti all around, and music drifting from a dancefloor DJed by a mustached hipster, that makes this place an unforgettable experience.

Yelp
We all know how this place rocks as a music venue and hipster café, but I just have to sing Point Ephémère's praises as a paradise for wheel-obsessed toddlers. I brought my firetruck loving child down to the Quai to catch some fireman action as the station is right next door. Since it was pouring we didn't linger long out front but headed straight into PE instead. Seated at a table in the large exhibition area surrounded by cozy poofs and some serious ping pong playing, we had a front row view of major movement all around the Quai. From the subway trains passing along the elevated tracks and the street cleaning crew across the canal to the fire trucks coming and going it was exactly the type of diversion a three year old boy (as thus his mama) craves on a rainy Sunday afternoon. Next time, we'll stay a bit longer and dine on the fabulous Camion qui Fume burgers that were being served up from the food truck next door.

Yelp
This is a good lunch place. I only went here for lunch a few times and not in the evenings for shows. The place is simple and delivers what is says, a beer, club sandwich or such and then you can sit outside/covered and enjoy your stuff near the canal.

Yelp
We live right by here and LOVE it! Great music venue, cheap drinks, cool crowd, and thai food. All right on the canal! Literally does not get any better than this.
