The Best Restaurants In & Around Point Pleasant 2025 - Jersey Shore - The Infatuation

"We consider the official Jersey Shore 12-course meal to be a six-pack and half a dozen lobster rolls from Point Lobster Company. They’re served hot with butter, the perfect amount of celery salt, and crispy, seasoned fries. Point Lobster Company opened a Bar & Grill-style tavern a few years ago, but the recently renovated marina-side BYOB restaurant and fish market is where you want to experience this seafood. Since they provide many restaurants in the state with their fresh lobsters, there’s a good chance you’ve had one before, but this is the only place to get their signature roll straight from the source." - michael sinatra

Where To Eat Down The Shore: Atlantic Highlands To Seaside Heights - New York - The Infatuation

"We’d like to consider a six-pack and half dozen lobster rolls from Point Lobster Company the official Jersey Shore 12-course meal. Their signature rolls are served hot with butter, the perfect amount of celery salt, and crispy, seasoned fries. Since this fish market and seafood spot provides many restaurants in the state with their fresh lobsters, there’s a good chance you’ve had one before. And even though Point Lobster opened a sit-down restaurant in town, the best experience is the fish market where you can sit outside in the marina and share your crumbs with the seagulls." - Michael Sinatra

Google
Fast friendly service with great food. We got the swordfish bites, which were cooked perfectly. Blackened Fish and shrimp tacos, which had a great sauce on them. Clam chowder could have been a bit warmer but was still delicious. Great aesthetic and vibe.

Google
I first tried their lobster roll at a recent seafood festival in Belmar, and I was blown away instantly. I had to make sure that I made this place one of my first stops during my little Jersey Shore getaway this past weekend. This place is a seafood market and restaurant. The restaurant part is a bit small with limited seating. They have a good-sized menu and food here is a bit costly, but it is so worth it. I got the lobster roll with fries, and everything was fantastic. The fries alone had great flavor and a real kick to them. The hot lobster roll was just as great as the one I had a week before. The staff here is really nice, the service is quick and the establishment is clean. The only thing is that they don't serve alcohol. I definitely recommend as I rate their lobster roll as the best in the Jersey Shore!

Google
I got 2 lobster rolls for $60. Worst lobster rolls I have ever had. For 30 bucks I would expect somthing gourmet with butter and garnish. The rolls I got had no butter no seasoning and were served on a soggy hotdog bun. The lobster was very chewy as well. They contained bits of shell in them too. I've gotten lobster rolls SO much better for 10 dollars cheaper at other places. I went back for a refund and was reimbursed.

Google
Glass or some hard plastic in the soup. Very disappointed. We had lunch outside it was very nice. We ordered a soup from the fresh market to enjoy on our ride back home. Found what looks like a small chard of glass or possibly hard plastic in the soup. We left about 15 mins ago but this is not okay. If it’s in this batch we wouldn’t want a replacement but we definitely should be issued a refund.

Google
Absolutely amazing! Everything was fresh. The crab rangoon mozzarella sticks are unique and delicious! Definitly recommended!

Google
We had an incredible meal at Point Lobster in Point Pleasant! From start to finish, everything was fantastic. Our waitress, Jalia, made the experience even better! She was warm, friendly, and full of great recommendations. Thanks to her, we tried the Crispy Rice, and wow… it’s an absolute don’t miss! Fresh, flavorful seafood, welcoming atmosphere, and top-notch service. We can’t wait to come back!

Google
This was the best tuna wrap I have ever had. The service was 100% like always! They brought the food right out to the car. They always have a big smile on their faces when you walk through that door. I wasn’t sure what to get and I wish I got the guys name because he helped me figure out what I wanted and definitely recommend me to get the tuna wrap that was a signature time only thing! This is the spot if you want to get great seafood and or come with your family, it’s a lovely experience! 10/10, should have more starts then 5!

Google
recently had dinner here with friends and had a great time. The fish was the freshest we have had in a long time. If your looking for a fancy setting, this isn't it. If your looking for great seafood and BYOB, than definitely come here for lunch or dinner. My one con at this experience was when I clearly ordered a caeser side salad and the fried shrimp dinner with the seasoned fries. Well, I end up getting a caeser salad with friend shrimp in it and a side order of seasoned fries. Combined, I probably ended up paying a buck or 2 more than if it was the way I ordered it. I know it was NOT done deliberately, just that the waitstaff, as nice and friendly as they were, just need to pay a bit more attention to the orders. I will def be back next time I am in the area!

1st the service was point on ! They seated us very quickly! They have a small band playing that contributed to the ambiance a wonderful dinner ! Good and service was Great ! We will be back !

Yelp
I thought about gate keeping this one but it's too good not to share. Great early dinner deal $23 from 2-4pm and byob. What's better than that? Three course meal. Soup or salad entree and dessert. I started with the lobster bisque soup. It was very creamy and had plenty of lobster in it it. Flounder franchise was very good but Flounder was very thin. It was served over rice. Honestly I did not care for the rice it was very starchy and not very flavorful. IMO This dish would be better with side of seasonal vegetables. The chocolate mouse cake was redeeming. lol. Very creamy and delicious. All in all not bad for $22 just think they can improve on the sides offered.

Yelp
Great little place right on the inlet. Parking was way better than some of the other places down the road. We got seated right away and service was prompt. Didn't realize it was BYOB so that was a bit of a bummer, but now we know for next time. The food: some things were spot on, some were a miss. The hits: hush puppies (this southern girl def approves), the lobster bisque (the chunks of lobster were huge with no up charge!), whole lobsters, fresh clams, and shrimp cocktail (although it would be great if they provided extra horseradish) The just oks: the NE clam chowder had great flavor but was on the thin side and the cream was broken, fix that and it would be the best in Point Pleasant. The lobster mac n cheese-huge pieces of lobster were great but that's where it ended. The big miss: the lobster roll. The lobster meat was delish but the roll itself wasn't toasted and the bun became so soggy I couldn't even eat it. It was a potato roll which I love, but it desperately needs toasted. Fix that and it's a winner. Overall we had a great experience, and will definitely return

Yelp
The perfect way to end a beach day!!! The coconut crusted shrimp was sooooo flaky and delicious. The lobster chunks in the bisque and roll were HUGE which I loved. I honestly could've ordered the lobster roll without the salad bc I was already stuffed The wait was short (Sunday ~1:30PM), very clean seating area, and there is a parking lot available :)

Yelp
This has been my go to lobster roll spot in Jersey Shore. The service is always great and the food is always amazing. Their "indoor" seating is the patio which is very comfortable, especially on a hot summer day. Would recommend coming here if you are in Point Pleasant or just craving a lobster roll. I drove 90 minutes for this!
google avatar

Andrew S.

Yelp
Lobster rolls were enjoyed by all. Reasonably priced, good options for all. No bar service. Great picnic style seating near the docks. Would definitely return.
google avatar

Yelp
I found this place from a friend's recommendation. Took the 40 minute ride to try this place out and happy I did. My boys had the lobster rolls and I had the halibut special. Next time I would like to eat it to experience the difference. Looked like small outdoor setting though.
google avatar

Jasmin A.

Yelp
Never been but if your looking for lm fresh lobster, this is your place! It's a BYO and has different varieties of lobster. Kind of wish they had some other variety like Drunken clams or fried clams for a platter vibe. Good portions, definitely left feeling super full. Service was great and attentive, ambiance was clean inside.

Yelp
Walked around on a Friday evening looking for a place for dinner, and Point Lobster had the least amount of wait. We waited for about 30 minutes and were seated in a half empty restaurant, so it was a bit strange. The food and service was fine, and nothing to write home about. My blackened flounder was a bit overly oily, but not overcooked. It came with a huge serving of fries and about a tablespoon of cole slaw. Felt a bit rushed towards the end but they were about to close, so it's understandable. Had a very strange incident after, as a few of us were waiting outside in the parking lot waiting for the rest of the group. We were laughing when an employee came out and dropped the "f" bomb directly at us (we were the only ones in the parking lot) and then walked off.

Yelp
I have gone here several times as the food is so good. I was delighted today to find out that there are "early bird" specials from 3:00-5:00. As we got there just in time, I ordered from that menu with starter, entree and dessert. I got lobster bouquet which was filled with fresh lobster, linguine Alfredo with peas and clams (10 whole ones), then cheesecake for dessert and coffee-- all for $22! I thought it was a deal-- and delicious!! The place was nice and cool inside, although there also was outdoor seating available. Service was quick and polite. One of my favorite places!! And, it's BYOB!

Yelp
Here again for the January on Tuesdays, 2 lobster rolls for $30 deal. You can't beat this anywhere for price and quality. As I said in my Yelp review ten years ago - a proper lobster roll has just two ingredients , lobster and a roll. Everything at Point is fresh and delicious, so just go there and enjoy!
google avatar

Daphne M.

Yelp
My family ate here today and we're definitely satisfied! Our server Sarah was on point and patient with us. The food was amazing! We ordered the crispy chicken tacos, lobster Mac & cheese, calamari (little overcooked), hush puppies (delicious), New England clam chowder (5 STARS), lobster roll, crab cake sandwich and shrimp po boy. We loved the quaint quiet dining area and scenery of the boats docked right outside. This will absolutely be a regular stop for us during our summer shore days!!
google avatar

Cat R.

Yelp
Great spot in Jersey while visiting my husbands family. Lobster was so good and hit the spot. The fries were a bit bland and lacked saltiness and crunch. My husband got the catch of the day in a sandwich and enjoyed! BYOB. Service was great and friendly. Chill vibe near the docks!
google avatar

Steph D.

Yelp
Started off with the Lobster Bisque and the Raw Clams, both delicious options, the lobster bisque was just the right amount of thick, perfect lobster taste throughout with little soft chunks & the add pieces of lobster to the top!! Unexpected but not complaining! The Clams were very fresh and tasty and they provide the perfect cocktail sauce to pair; also very good! The Hot Lobster roll was mouth watering good! The lobster was soft and juicy, buttery in all the right ways! We loved it! The Angry Hot Lobster Roll was good, first time trying a fried lobster roll and I have to say I do prefer a regular Hot Lobster Roll! I asked for the siracha sauce to be on the side, which may alter how you feel if you like siracha sauce! Definitely recommend! Give it a try! Fresh & Delicious! Quick and friendly service and very quiet, especially on the week day evenings - they play light low music for a good chill vibe. Take note of their hours, they close kind of early (6pm), unsure of last seating times but we arrived around 515 and were the last ones sat for the evening to eat in.

Yelp
This was the best Lobster Roll I've had in years. A total of 4 of us ordered it. I had the hot Lobster Roll that was insanely delicious and my friends had the cold and said it was best they'd ever had.
google avatar

Jay O.

Yelp
I've been coming here for many years and I have to say the seafood is always fresh and well prepared. Today I had a lobster roll and fries. The roll was warm with lots of buttered lobster and delicious. The fries were shoestring style and well done. Additionally, basket comes with a pickle and Cole slaw. We were there near lunchtime and seated promptly. Our server was great, knowledgeable and friendly. She made sure everything was as it should be and kept our drinks topped off. The dining area was recently updated and is very nice. It looks out into the parking area and you can also see the boats, lobster traps and some water. We love coming back here when we visit the Jersey Shore.
google avatar

Ari K.

Yelp
The best lobster rolls! Both the hot and cold rolls are so packed with lobster meat. Lobster bisque amazing. Daily specials you can take out from the seafood market. At the holidays they set up an amazing display cute to visit or take photos. Tree made of lobster traps and lite up. Santa and Mrs claus and an old truck.
google avatar

Mark S.

Yelp
This was a real treat for us... Each summer I look at a place way down the Jersey shore to try. Point Lobster is a excellent start. For lunch on a holiday weekend it was almost lobster all the way. :) We sat outside on the covered patio. But I believe they also have an indoor space plus a very large fish market. For starters, she had the hush puppies and I chose a cup of lobster bisque. For our main items, lobster Mac & cheese plus a cold lobster roll with old bay fries. That roll is a little small in size, but stacked with lobster meat and just lemon kissed for flavor. So good. Service by Jake was excellent. Checking up on every so often to make sure that everything was good. Prices are pretty reasonable for lunch. Not much of a view from your outdoor table, just the nearby marina. Pretty good sized parking lot that was filling up rather quickly. Enjoy

Yelp
Always great food, good service and wonderful atmosphere! Wide selection of seafood. A favorite place of ours.
google avatar

Amanda C.

Yelp
I enjoyed a Hot Lobster Roll. This was so delish and full of meat! 10/10!!! Sweet potato fries, coleslaw and a pickle!
google avatar

Jen K.

Yelp
Some of the best blackened scallops I've ever had. Delicious food, great location by the boats and fun, nautical-themed restaurant with efficient service.
google avatar

Nikole F.

Yelp
Food is good, service is slow. We have been a few times and go back for the food but service could be better overall.
google avatar

Annie G.

Yelp
Great spot in Point Pleasant. Be ready to wait if you go on a weekend or around a popular time. We waited about 30 min for a party of 5 and sat inside. Lobsters are reasonably priced. $30 for the lobster dinner with corn, Cole slaw, potatoes. Appetizers were delicious. Hush puppies in particular. It's BYOB!! They have soft drinks and whatnot. The inside area had some flies and it was a bit crowded but otherwise a great place for lobster on the shore.
google avatar

TheDobler ..

Yelp
Everything was great! Super fresh and food came out quick! I ordered 2 entrees and finished It all!
google avatar

Emily S.

Yelp
Overall a decent seafood place. Everything we had tasted super fresh. We had fried scallops, coconut shrimp and old bay fries. The tuna nachos were delicious, and had plenty of tuna on them. The lobster mac & cheese tasted just like Stouffer's or the Wawa mac & cheese with generous chunks of lobster on top. We expected the Mac and cheese to be homemade, that was a little disappointing.
google avatar

Greg A.

Yelp
Fabulous service, hot buttered lobster roll full of large lobster pieces,is outstanding as well as the lobster bisque. Also had the fried shrimp which was also good. Not much ambiance just over looking boat pier.

Riley M.

Yelp
The staff here was so accommodating as we arrived about 1/2 hour before closing - our server, Paulina, was outstanding! We brought wine as BYOB. I had 1/2 dozen oysters to start which were huge and delicious. My wife had the cold lobster roll with Caesar salad she loved it. I had the fresh local scallops which were great! We had nice semi-outdoor seating as it was a little chilly - fun atmosphere
google avatar

Eileen W.

Yelp
Stopped here for lunch on the weekend. We dined at one of the outdoor patios. Homemade manhattan clam chowder was tasty but a little watery. Oysters and clams on the half shell were freshly shucked and icy cold. Everything we ordered was delicious and fresh. Friendly server. Enjoyed it immensely Highly recommend
google avatar

pam s.

Yelp
We arrived at about 4:30 pm on a Friday night. The drinks with their good vodka were a fair price - we both had Belvedere martinis. Service from our bartender (Kenny) was friendly, professional, cordial and prompt. We felt the food prices were over priced but will be back in the future for a cocktail. It's a somewhat big place, hard to tell from outside. It was empty when we first got there, then was crowded and loud by the time we left. It's in nice location in a nice town. Good shopping and Close to train station The bathroom was very clean.

Arleen O.

Yelp
Let me start be saying the place was cute the servers are wonderful could have asked for better service! Went for lunch with my family and most of us ordered a version of a lobster roll I believe there were 3 different ones to choose from. I got the hot lobster roll which was on a potato bun and had butter over the lobster. I must say I was absolutely expecting quality lobsters and I was disappointed Mine was very dry and the meat didnt taste good at all. I was expecting them to have the best tasting lobster being they get them fresh everyday and they get great reviews.
google avatar

Elizabeth C.

Yelp
What a nice way to end a day down the shore. Found this place on Yelp and was very happy with our choice. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and suggested items. The hush puppies were very good and the shrimp were a good size as an appetizer. My boyfriend ordered the warm lobster roll with the suggestion from our serve and he was very happy. He soda noir was the best one he has had. I enjoyed my shrimp tacos. They were fried but lightly which was perfect. The Thai chili sauce on them made it all so good along with the slaw. The outside area is small but big enough at the same time. We will definitely be back next time we are DTS.
google avatar

Stuart B.

Yelp
On the inlet, fresh seafood well prepared. Seafood market with outdoor tables on its patio.

Melinda R.

Yelp
Everything was fresh and excellent. The food was delicious and service quick. We go to sit by the windows that overlooked the pier as the sun went down. Wonderful dinner experience, highly recommended!
google avatar

Monique D.

Yelp
Fresh chunky lobster with melted butter and a soft roll. Add a squirt of lemon and it was gone lickity split! Glad we made the stop for lunch. Staff was friendly, and food came out quick.

Yelp
Don't know about you, but when I am in a lovely beach town like Point Pleasant, I expect to eat in a beachy casual restaurant that serves fresh seafood. This place does fit the bill. They serve your stereotypical lobster rolls, crab cakes, shrimp po boys, etc. The atmosphere is bright and clean. They are also family friendly with an activity sheet and crayons for the kids and a kids menu with a wide variety of choices. The seafood is fresh but I do think it could have been prepared better. The clam chowder was very watered down. The oyster po boy tasted more like batter than oyster to me. The fries were thin and soggy, though I did appreciate the old bay seasoning. I've been back already for the wonderful hospitality, but I'll probably keep poking around the menu a bit to find a go to dish.

Thomas H.

Yelp
Food excellent, service terrible. Had to ask for menus 3 times then food was slow. Some customers were seated after us, they ordered, ate and paid and others sat at that table before we got served. Did not leave a tip, can't remember last time I didn't tip.
google avatar

Luis B.

Yelp
Came here on a lunch stop after a day at the beach. Oysters and lobster rolls were pretty good but the tacos were a little disappointing. Props for good service. BYOB

Kim L.

Yelp
So good! There were 4 of us and we were all very happy with our meals. Loved the atmosphere and the decor! We will definitely be back!

J M.

Yelp
Little flavor. Light on seasoning. Rather pricey. Better to stay home and make it yourself. Cold lobster roll had no flavor or seasoning. For $24, you get one claw and a little less than half a tail from a 1 1/4 lb lobster. Not much. Steamed lobster usually has a slight salty taste but this had none. No celery flavor. Just blah. Calamari was a nice portion but rubbery and once again had no flavor or apparent seasoning. Bush puppies are dry and the honey dip didn't taste like honey. Kind of watered down. I know the dock thing is just a prop but ShopRite is just round the corner in Wall. Have 'em bring some over which I would find ironic because didn't you wholesale to them at one point? Cheese burger was good.
google avatar

Sean H.

Yelp
The best lobster bisque around. Creamy, rich, and flavorful. A massive amount of lobster for a cup sized portion. I also recommend the shrimp po' boy sandwich. Definitely give this spot a go.

Donna S.

Yelp
food was very disappointing! Coconut shrimp was almost at the burnt stage. lobster was overcooked to the point you could not cut it. When we talked to the waitress , she stated that she never had anyone complain about it! nothing was done about it! We still paid full price, two people at our table ordered the same thing and both plates looked exactly the same! very over cooked to the point there was not much flavor! Very disappointed with this birthday dinner that we were celebrating!
google avatar

Rick B.

Yelp
Good food for the money. Fish and chips delish and served HOT! Wife loved the Fish Tacos.
google avatar

James B.

Yelp
I've always liked the food here. Our server, Gavin, provided timely service. Dining area was comfortably warm. Via a suggestion from a friend, I will try the lobster Mac and cheese next time I visit.

Ryan M.

Yelp
My wife and I loved the food and enjoyed being this close to the water. The flounder was great.

Diane R.

Yelp
Ordered shrimp tacos & tossed seasonal mixed greens salad to go. Everything was fresh and delicious!!! Order was ready at time promised! Thank you!

Colette R.

Yelp
Excellent fresh seafood . Highly recommended the lobster roll and lobster bisque soup!!! Amazing!!

Giuseppe L.

Yelp
Great service, reasonably priced, and tons of delicious fresh seafood options. A must if you're in Point Pleasant.

Yelp
Stumbled upon Point Lobster Company during a recent trip to the Jersey Shore when it was unseasonably warm on a Sunday afternoon in early November. When in areas I'm not familiar with, often rely on reviews in making my decision. In this case, reviews were spot on. The menu had a decent selection of items to pick from and most importantly, had a Lobster Roll i was hankering. We ordered the Calamari, Lobster Roll Platter (Lobster simmered in butter, served with fries and coleslaw) and the Coconut Shrimp platter (served with coleslaw and substituted fries with the seasoned bliss potatoes.) A small hiccup was the Calamari was served with the meal. While not listed as an appatizer, I may have assumed it was an appatizer, where on then me menu it is listed as small bites. So I really can't hold this against them accountable in my rating. All in all, service was good, servers were friendly, and the food was tasty. I was very satisfied with my Lobster Roll meal which had a decent serving of Lobster in it. I did enjoy the calamari, but kicked it up a notch with the sauce that cake with the coconut shrimp. When down in Point Pleasant, will definitely stop in again. We lucked out being able to get a table as soon as we walked in. I would imagine during the summer, it may not be so easy

Yelp
A delicious affordable seafood place on the Jersey Shore! We were driving back from LBI and stopped here for a casual late lunch. This place is also a wholesale seafood place. You could see the giant crates where they had the seafood so you know it was fresh! Manhattan clam chowder - creamy, filled with clams and so tasty! Lobster bisque - had lots of lobster in it and was also creamy and delicious. Hush puppies - perfectly bite sized with corn on the inside. Heavenly dipped in the honey butter! Calamari - loved that it was lightly fried so didn't feel heavy. Warm lobster roll - possibly the best one we've ever had! Huge chunks of lobster drenched in butter. Blackened seafood combination - perfectly seasoned. loved how tender the scallops were! We were stuffed from everything we ordered since we had to finish every bite of seafood!
