As a note, even though I've been to Thailand, I didn't actually eat Pad Thai there, and I was quite a bits younger, so I wouldn't have remembered anyways. This place is supposed to be closer in flavour and execution to real Thai pad thai than all those takeout joints in New York. This is also under the Pok Pok Thai food group, and this place used to be Baohaus. This is truly the best Pad Thai I've had in New York. The food is not that sticky, overly sweet stuff you usually get elsewhere. There's a level of freshness and citrus that doesn't really exist anywhere else. It's difficult to explain but it just tastes next level. The price is indeed a bit more expensive though, at about 11 dollars.

Pandanus Water? More like panda anus water. Actually more like water used to rinse the rice with from what it taste like it. The Ike's Wings are great when you get eight. Comes with a side salad that has tangy fish sauce all over it. You could get a side of rice if fishy salad is not your thing. Coconut rice is tasty and good way to take the heat off if the spicy version is too hot for you. Also the pork chop sandwich... there is a bone in it! And I don't know why they don't call it a Pok Chop Sandwich?

This place used to be Pok Pok Wings. It is now Pok Pok Phat Thai, since Sept 2012. It'll probably be something else as they rotate through the Pok Pok menu. Tiny space, seats 10-15 on bar stools and the physical size of the kitchen limits the menu. I'd love to live in the 'hood just to experience all the variety. Pad Thai, 5 versions, optionally wrapped in a thin omlette. Plus a special and another dish with the wide noddles, everything cooked to perfection with a myriad of little tastes. They ruined Thai food in the US for me.

Now serving pad Thai, and an excellent value. The vegan option is served relatively bland but the condiments on the table fix that. A big plus is that you don't have to endure the sneers of hosts with more student loan debt than a small country, instead you get to tuck into your dish within 5 min.

Delicious authentic pad thai. Just had a fantastic sampling at GoogaMooga and can't wait to visit. The flavors were spot on. We were given the option to customize the last little bit of tastiness with sugar, red pepper flakes and fish sauce.

I like this place because it is true to the native thai cuisine. I am still amazed at how many none authentic aka over sugared thai there is in New York City. I can't really recommend one dish over another because they are all great. This place just started to deliver which is great because it isn't in the most convenient location. They also have a restaurant in cobble hill which has a full range of thai dishes and not just the street food.

I am a complete wing fanatic and Pok Pok is where I go when I need a fast fix. Always perfectly sticky, sweet and spicy the place is on point, and well worth waiting for. Spring for the coconut rice which will soothe your burning mouth after a bite of super spicy papaya salad.

Very interesting twist on the regular pad thai...dried baby shirmp! Finally had a taste of their phat thai at The Great Googamooga festival in Brooklyn. One of the first stall I tried and it's definitely worth it. Now I just have to figure out how to eat at 20 other places without getting full or throwing up.
