Google
Overall a solid 4 star bowl. Loved the sauces (ponzu, spicy house and spicy mayo). One of my takeout lunches ended up a little soggy, like the liquids from the toppings weren’t drained out of the scoop and were on the bottom of the bowl. I love poke so was glad to have found this spot, just isn’t a 5 star bowl. There’s a shelf for picking up online orders. Depending on who is working you may need to show confirmation email of your online order before taking your food.

Really fresh fish. Gluten aware. I loved it and located right by the Keller for a quick bite before a show

Google
this is such a solid spot for the price and fast service! I have been here two times now and the staff has been super kind and efficient. as for the food, I personally think its great! you get to build your own bowl and put so many different toppings, for no extra cost. In my bowl I put tuna, salmon, white rice, seaweed salad, cucumber, jalapeno, cilantro, edamame, imitation crab, crispy garlic, spicy mayo, chili sauce, wasabi, masago, and furikake for just $13.95. that's pretty awesome if you ask me!

My husband found this gem while on jury duty, and we came back to enjoy it together. It seems to be "my thing" to post photos of my food after I've already enjoyed some of it 😋. Nice quiet lunch with music on in the background. Great variety of Signature Bowls with the option to Build Your Own as well. Sunset Bowl Pictured.

Loved the fresh taste of the salmon and albacore! I’m visiting from San Diego and this is better than many spots over there.

I always appreciate the friendly service I get at PokéBar. The owner, Lana, and Kai always provide exceptional service and a kind smile. They are the reasons I’m a regular ☺️

Google
Super delish & healthy. With my extra add ons and tip my total was $27.

Google
I would love this in my town. A poke subway!!!! Food 5/5 ⭐ Service 4/5 ⭐ not sure if if was bad or good, it was just service Atmosphere 3/5 ⭐ it was strange because it was mostly empty and the music kept stopping mid song and starting another. Bonus star for ample phone charging stations and outlets on tables.

Yelp
Just ordered a large bowl. All the onions are so bitter I had to throw this away. Worst poke bowl I think I ever had in my life.

Yelp
Definitely Worth It Customer Service Rocked Was Fabulously Delicious Clean Atmosphere

Yelp
Order your poke at the bar and then find your seat and eat. I ordered the larger fish, which comes with 3 proteins. I thought for the price you pay, which is sub $15, it was a good bang for your buck. The quantity was decent because you get to pick a lot of the toppings. Solid spot for your poke desires. Plenty of seating indoors for large or small parties. Quick service since it's a pick your topping as you go.

Yelp
Starting to explore around me. This is not far from my job. It was a nice day and I wanted something not heavy. Had a poke bowl and sat in the sun. Had tuna with all the toppings I could get A avocado and egg cost extra. So good. Fresh. Perfect for what I wanted No pictures unfortunately.

Yelp
The worst poke I ever had, she used too much sauce, and she was a little sassy. When she scooped up the fish she also touched it with her bare fingers, yuck!

Alex S.

Yelp
There are way better poke restaurants (fish-San is the best out of all the poke restaurants), they actually give you a good portion of fish and things you order) (I ordered 3 protein options and with the added extra order of salmon and got like nothing Wasabi is watery Not my cup of tea I feel horrible after eating and threw up If there was a negative star rating I would not hesitate to give a -5star

Yelp
Love their fire crackers bowl, friendly staffs, nice environment and fresh food. Can't wait to go back!!!

Yelp
Poke Bar management keeps your TIPS.They do not go to the workers, who are mostly college age students. Their reason is because they pay $1 over min wage, they can keep their TIPS. If you choose to TIP let it be known it does not go to your server!

Yelp
Delicious food, fresh and tasty. Great customer service, friendly staff. Wonderful location. Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Friendly, quick service for lunch. Substantial portions, nice sauces (tamari for gf folks). Came here a few times when I had jury duty. If you want a quick, clean protein with healthy greens, this is your place downtown.

Yelp
Ordered poke bowls to be delivered for my son's birthday lunch and unfortunately the only positive thing about the lunch was the quickness of the delivery. We ordered 4 bowls - 3 out of the 4 bowls were missing items or had incorrect items. I ordered a small bowl; the brown rice was suuper al dente and had no seasoning or vinegar at all, the spicy tuna was ok, the salmon was extremely fishy, and my "side" of krab salad consisted of a few sad strands of dry krab. My son ordered a large bowl with salmon and octopus, received scallops instead of salmon. Nothing really tasted good at all. For $13-$15 a pop I would recommend a sushi burrito for a better value

Yelp
I work in the area and I'm excited when i arrive early to work to grab my favorite meal before i head in. This is my second bad experience here The first i arrived 20 minutes before closing and they said they threw out almost everything already and had no rice to make me a bowl. Today i arrived 35 minutes early and they made my bowl and when it came time to pay they said they wouldnt be able to take cash because they already counted the till and dont want to recount it...... why is it being counted 35 minutes before closing? i forgot my wallet and all i had was exact amount but because they were to lazy to recount their till they would rather throw away my food... this is ridiculous i know they dint care but that is the last time i will be going into this establishment.

Yelp
Today was the grand opening of Poke Bar. I was kinda excited for this place to open since I work nearby and there aren't too many options for food that doesn't come from a national chain. The line was about 25 people deep but it did move relatively slower compared to other poke places in town. This is understandable of course given it was their first day. Poke Bar is giving 30% off your total order in their first week which was a nice surprise. Regular sized bowls were $10.95 and larger sized bowls were $12.95. I went to build my own bowl and wanted a base of spring mix without rice. The employee seemed to be confused by this despite me pointing it out to the menu a few times. I gave up trying to get spring mix after asking him for it 3 times and just opted for brown rice instead. The proteins mostly looked decent. The Tuna appeared to have been treated to prevent oxidation, which kinda left me a bit disappointed considering this is a poke bowl restaurant, which should have had better ahi. Scallops, Albacore, Salmon, Octopus all looked decent (Ahi and Spicy Tuna didn't look that great to me). Everything tasted as expected...the food was good but I wouldn't say it was better than other poke bowl places in town...in fact maybe a half step below. All in all Poke Bar is a decent neighborhood poke spot...and not a destination one where you should go out of your way to eat.

Yelp
I've come to this place about 5 times I'd say. I think this place has the potential to be at least 4 stars but they just manage to mess up something somehow. I don't recommend using Apple Pay. We had a dilemma where we were charged twice and tried to figure that out over a month to get reimbursed. My experience tonight was great though! I just wish she didn't drench my rice in the sauce. They for sure had tobiko not masago, not complaining I like tobiko but they should definitely make it known. I actually think the food is great. I think they could season the rice maybe, but it's not bad. The fish has always been fresh for me too. It's also a bit on the pricier side for what you get.

Yelp
We walked over from our nearby hotel for some Poke and really enjoyed it. Contrary to what another reviewer said, this is indeed a national chain. We always try to eat local but we wanted some late night Poke and this was too convenient to pass up. The guy working behind the counter was very friendly and he helped us through the steps of building our bowl. They offer tons of ingredients and everything was very fresh. The prices seemed reasonable for Poke, which is traditional pretty pricey, as expected. The portions were decent enough to fill us up but we weren't really starving. Overall, great quick stop for Poke that I would recommend.

Yelp
I ordered a poke salad from uber eats from them I normally dont leave bad reviews. But I would like to leave the comment their spicy tuna is geniuenly too spicy to be edible. I'm mexican I've been eating spicy food my entire life and I know asian spicy is different but this is literally not even enjoyable. I had to take the tuna out of the salad and it was practically impossible to not have a bite and not feel heart burn. So I honestly couldn't eat the salad. Waste of food and money :( I'm not sure if it was just a bad batch or something but maybe have a warning if its literally this spicy? Maybe i just lost my tolerance? Idk I didnt want to give a bad review and not give them the benefit of the doubt but it was honestly not edible.

Daniel H.

Yelp
Portions too small. Food was ok but i want to be full if i spend $14.50. Rice could use a little seasoning and the crab crab could have mayo mixed inside to make crab salad like sushi instead of just imitation crab alone. Service was pretty good though

Yelp
Just visited Poké Bar while staying downtown. The food was very good, service was very quick, and the cost was quite reasonable compared to other Poke places I have been to elsewhere in the country.
google avatar

Yelp
Tasteless, expensive bowl of seafood. I've avoided all Poke places since their inception until now and I knew my gut feeling was right by avoiding it all this time until now. What broke my heart the most is that the miso soup was disgusting, the broth, the tofu, Yoshinoya miso soup blows this crap away. Just a simple shame! Anyone who gives this place five stars probably gives everything else five stars, that is what we call "fake news!" My recommendation, if you're dumb enough after reading this, make sure you put lots of their sauces on the food to flavor it. Im done!

Yelp
this place just opened around the corner from my work and being the poke connoisseur that I am, as soon as they opened I had to give them a try. I went with a small build your own. they gave a fair amount of protein for a small and the toppings were unlimited. i got salmon w/ brown rice and various toppings. the line is efficient and quick but one thing that bothered me is they use a paper tray to mix all the poke together then throw it away. for every. single. bowl. this is excessive, and this is Portland, so i can't imagine people vibing with this very well. they need to use a steel or glass bowl or something, because this is just plane wasteful. my bowl was $10 or $11 and good size & really good. i ended up coming back the next day as well. they also serve bubble tea and various drinks which i may try next time. it's not my most favorite poke but it's really good and i'm happy to have them so close to my work. definitely worth trying if you live/work in the area but i can't see myself going out of my way to come here, but definitely a good addition to this relatively dead part of downtown.

Yelp
I ordered from the Poké Bar two hours ago. This was my first time trying a poké bowl, and I have been turned into a lover in such a short time. I've literally texted two of my friends to rave about it. I ordered a poke bowl with salmon. I love sushi bowls so I figured I would be a fan. My verdict is as follows: Okay final verdict on the PokeBar: Ingredients: 10/10 The salmon was fantastic. Wasn't sure if I would like it, as I'm not generally a salmon fan, but it had a great sweet and spicy marinade making it delicious. The seaweed salad was delicious, as was the imitation crab, the sauces, definitely made the bowl. Options: 15/10 I got so many mix ins!!! Avocado, egg, fried onion, edamame, corn, seaweed salad, masago, all my faves!!! i appreciate that!! I love a bowl piled high and I love having options! Price: 10/10 You get a lot of bang for your buck here! I think my bowl was around $14 or $15 in total and I got so. many. toppings. I've spent a lot on sushi/rice bowls previously with not as many toppings/options. Well worth the money. Final conclusion: Poké Bar? You have a new family member. I absolutely will be back for more, and you gave me an above and beyond dinner time experience, so thank you. full checks on the hype meter for y'all!!

Yelp
The employees are great and friendly BUT the poke is lacking--too spicy (without flavor) and very skimpy on portions.

Jason L.

Yelp
Grab a bowl here during lunch, fish was fresh, friendly staff and nice environment. Definitely will be back
google avatar

Maya K.

Yelp
Not locally owned, but pretty good! I didn't think the portions were anything special, but the food was tasty and service was impressive.
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious. Great choices. Friendly service.Salmon and tuna was tasty. Good place to be creative with building your bowl. Two thumbs up!
google avatar

Yelp
Got food poisoning here at first I thought it was morning sickness but then it got progressively worse throughout the night. Never again. Thankfully nothing went wrong with my son.

Yelp
Walked in to get something to eat before a concert, and was bowled over by the smell of hot garbage. Decided to not risk it. It literally smelled like the inside of a dumpster.

Yelp
This place is a great place to get your poke fix. It's only a few blocks from my office and the service is great and the staff is friendly. Be ware that the portions of get their larger bowl can be huge. All of their seafood and toppings are fresh and tasty. They have lots of seafood options options; salmon, albacore, spicy tuna, scallops, shrimp, octopus. And they will load up your bowl with toppings; pineapple, sweet onion, cilantro, krab, seaweed salad, jalapeño, etc. They also have a selection of milk and boba teas. Make sure you add a little extra time during the lunch hour as there is us usually a line.
google avatar

Odulami B.

Yelp
New to the downtown area but quickly becoming a go to for our team outings. A small line can form at times but there is never a real wait. The team is efficient in quickly building your custom bowl )and have some options to order ahead as well). The firecracker is the favorite but there a many built to taste options as well. An average meal will run you 10.95.
google avatar

Mike H.

Yelp
Ordered delivery and got raw shrimp and scallops, while scallops "can be" ok raw. Shrimp is not. The quality of the other ingredients seemed to be ok, but I would not trust a place that serves raw shrimp...
google avatar

Hunter H.

Yelp
I've had poke bar multiple times in various cities and this was by the far the worst experience I have had at any poke restaurant. The flavor was bland besides the excessive spice, plus I upgraded to large fish bowl and simply received another scoop of rice. This has caused me to rethink poke as a viable food option, it was seriously that bad. $14 for a couple scoops of rice, no veggies and lots of hot sauce.
google avatar

Aaron T.

Yelp
IPoké, and this place is great. Friendly staff that explained the menu and all options. The variety was fresh and delicious. Sunday afternoon and not crowded, I imagine they get very busy lunchtime during weekdays. I will definitely return !
google avatar

Siera R.

Yelp
Great spot for a quick poke treat! I suggest building your own bowl and make it the way you like. You get to pick all of your preferences and aren't limited.
google avatar

Amy B.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my bowl with the exception that the scallops tasted a little too fishy to me so I avoided those but they gave a really good portion of salmon that was really fresh. My only recommendation is to season the rice a little more but overall I thought it was fantastic. The house sauce is perfect. I will 100% be reordering (most likely this week)

Monica R.

Yelp
I came here pre-COVID when they were new and I loved it, I was sure I would be a regular customer. Jump to summer 2022 and I most definitely will not be back. I came on my lunch break and the other reviews are not lying when they say it smells terrible like hot fish on a hot summer day. This made me skeptical but I was starving so I risked it hoping for the best, the girl behind the counter was RUSHING me and I was literally the only other person inside. Left feeling like I smell like that old hot fish now. Food tastes okay nothing special I've had better poke nearby.
google avatar

Ashley C.

Yelp
Nice option to have that's near the auditorium to eat before a show. Generous portions. Appreciate how most of the add ins are included in the price and you aren't limited to only 3 or 5. Will def come here again when nearby.
google avatar

Kim W.

Yelp
I loved the idea of being able to build my own bowl for a decent price, so I ordered for lunch and waited with an empty stomach. The restaurant canceled my Door Dash order (estimated 11-21 min delivery) over 30 min after I placed it. Thanks for nothing.

Jared J.

Yelp
Walked in with my anxious and hangry girlfriend trying to get food before a concert. The smell alone almost made me retch. My girlfriend actually started dry heaving. We had walked a mile in the wrong direction to eat here, we're starving, and still didn't want to have that taste in my mouth. Also.... They were out of rice. What poke place is out of rice?!? Blasphemy. Eat here if you want expensive medical bills from a tapeworm. Trash.

Mindy R.

Yelp
Usually busy during lunch time, but I always enjoy to customs my bowl here. Definitely will come back because I'm back to the office for work now.

Shannon R.

Yelp
Yummy excellent poke bowl ... Lots of variety with proteins, toppings, sauce and sprinkles
google avatar

Deven F.

Yelp
Pretty damn good poke! I love that it's assembly line style so it's all freshly put together and seasoned in front of you. They get their fish fresh every morning. I like to get the small size (which comes with two scoops of fish) with a half scoop of rice and half salad greens. Lots of sauce and topping options. After you get it all loaded up you have a very satisfying meal for about $10 or so. One MAJOR complaint that led to my 3 stars: they use a separate paper bowl to mix the poke and sauces, then throw it away - for every single order! So very wasteful and unnecessary. For this reason I can't justify eating here very often.

Janetta B.

Yelp
Not the greatest, avocado was rock hard and rice was cold.. really Unexpressed was expecting more not sure if the quality has downgraded or what but I was upset Poké isn't cheap
google avatar

Indigo Silas M.

Yelp
Everyone there is really nice, standard poke bar experience. Doesn't charge for extra sauce and toppings (unless its avocado of course). SO glad they brought it to portland cos I used to eat it weekly in LA. Portions are great for the price, fish is fresh considering the price, service is always fast. Not a big fan of the unripe avocado but it seems like every poke place in pdx is a little confused with the art of perfecting the texture of the poke. Wish Hawaii was easily accessible for the real thing, but poke bar can't beat any other pdx eatery on price and standardness (Ew can poke places stop making poke Mexican fusion and putting guacamole and pico in it, no one wanted that)
google avatar

Jasmine D.

Yelp
I stopped in last night while I was waiting for my bus and had a hankering for poke, was not disappointed. The portion sizes were pretty decent for the prices and there was a wide variety of protein, sauces and toppings. I got a large customizable bowl intending to take some home with me but I finished the entire thing on the spot because it was delicious and the sashimi was fresh. The place had a delicious aroma as soon as I walked in and the person who took my order was friendly and knowledgeable. I think the person who left a negative review should go back to Hawaii lol. I will be back again!

Cora H.

Yelp
Just got it delivered and the poke bowl had almost nothing it. Looked like the last photo posted. I do t even understand lol.

Byron J.

Yelp
Overall I like this poke restaurant. Here is a tip owners. You can't serve a milk tea with boba without a milk straw.
