Nishiki Ramen Chooses Hillcrest for Second Location | Eater San Diego

"I see that Poke Subarashi is opening a second outpost; with an original location in the UTC area, the casual restaurant offers customizable poke bowls based on rice, salad or chips and layered with seafood, sauces and toppings." - Candice Woo

This was some of the best poke I've ever had! The ingredients were delicious and fresh. They gave great portions too. Also had a fruit tea with jellies and that was great. Will be coming back here often for my poke fix. If you are trying to choose a place, you won't be disappointed!

My husband and I decided to check this place out today. The service was great and attentive. They were quite helpful with ordering cause we were not sure. They explained the difference in the tapioca. My husband decided to order the taro milt tea with the tapioca yogurt. It was amazing. I had a taste. The garlic and spicy chicken wings were crispy and delicious. I ordered the signature salmon poke bowl. Amazing. Try it out! Also, if you spend more than $20, you will get one of these cute key chains and/or cute chopsticks.

This week, Poke Bowl opened its doors, and I had the opportunity to stop by and give it a try. As expected, their menu features Poke Bowls, but they also offer a variety of other options, including Ramen, Korean-style wings, and beverages such as fruit teas and milk teas. The restaurant was clean, well-organized, and the staff provided excellent, friendly service. They were even running a promotion, and we left with a little souvenir to remember the visit. If you're a fan of Poke Bowls, I highly recommend checking this spot out!

New restaurant with a great menu. We tried the Korean wings- very crisp and tasty. The Karage Chicken was not what i imagines, but good- better with a sauce. Also had the beef bulgogi buns- the meet was delicious, however the buns had a different texture and fell apart easily. Boba tea and strawberry smootie were excellent. You can customize your poke bowl the way you like. The ingredients looked fresh. I will try next time. Overall great choice for lunch. Service was fast and friendly. Dining area was clean.

This spot offers a solid, well-balanced poke bowl with fresh ingredients. The rice was well-cooked, and the salmon was both fresh and tender. They have a great selection of toppings, and everything was executed well. The prices are average, so it’s a reliable choice for lunch. That said, the rice portion was too large and disrupted the balance of the bowl. While there weren’t too few toppings, there was simply too much rice. A bit less rice, with a focus on slightly higher quality, would make the bowl more enjoyable.

I got the Large size and only got raw salmon as a protein and wow it was BANGIN. It’s $18 with tax but so worth it. They allow you to get so many ingredients and toppings with your poke bowl you’ll be more than satisfied. I got a lot of edamame because it’s my favorite. The soy garlic sauce was delicious. This place about to be my go to spot for Poke Bowls. All ingredients tasted fresh especially the raw salmon🍣 as a sashimi enthusiast I was very impressed 👏 Zindi who made my Poke bowl was very polite and the best !!

Rarely do I give restaurants 5 stars across the board but if you’re in the area it’s worth the visit. Portions is worth the cost. The accommodated me but putting the sauce on the sides. All the veggies are fresh. They cooked the Salmon for me since I don’t eat raw they cooked it with the Hawaiian sauce which is delish. I also got the veggie gyoza which was ok don’t know if I’d order It again. Customer service great. Nice seating and decor. 10/10 would recommend you try.
