"The Pokémon-obsessed touring pop-up bar, PokéBar, is coming to Charleston in 2020. While the location hasn’t been settled yet, it will take place on Friday, May 23, and Saturday, May 24. The main highlight of the PokéBar will be the Pokémon burgers, fashioned to look like those beloved cuddly Pokemon, including Pikachu, Charmander, and Bulbasaur. Then there are themed cocktails too, which haven’t been detailed yet. The pop-up will serve as a Pokémon gym for players, where people will be able to catch and train their Poké-creatures, like a live action Pokémon Go game. Plus there will be trivia, costume contests, and a DJ for the inevitable Pokemon dance party. Interested Poké-obsessives will be able to register for pre-sale tickets through its website to attend the pop-up. Tickets come with a single Pokémon burger and a drink (either a cocktail, beer, wine, or two non-alcoholic options). Prices potentially range from $45 to $55, based on other pop-ups." - Erin Perkins

The poke bowl was delicious. An extra scoop of tuna was $4.00, making the whole meal, including a drink and a tip, about $22. It's a decent eat-in place, really bright, staff were very helpful when someone came in for a large group order. Might not be a place to linger over a meal.

Google
This place is heaven on Earth. The staff is extraordinarily friendly and their customer service skills are impeccable! The food is always made quickly, the portions are very generous, and everything tastes fresh with plenty of vegetarian alternatives. Poke Bros is the kind of place where I have eaten there twice in the same day, and I look forward to many more meals here!

Google
Salmon and Tuna poke bowl was delicious. Full of flavor and seasoning. Used door dash so I can’t review the exact location as far as customer service.

Daniel Palacios

Google
Great food, I will recommend 100% this restaurant

Jacob Trask

Google
My bowl came out to be almost $20 for a medium amount of protein, but I had to pay for extra protein. Pretty good fresh fish if you don’t mind spending a little bit more.

Lindsey Colón

Google
This place was amazing! Fast service, knowledgeable staff, and fantastic flavor! We did a build your own and our friend got the High Tide, and each one was as fresh and flavorful as the last. Great open atmosphere, easy parking, and a chill vibe inside. My proteins were the spicy salmon and spicy tuna and they were definitely sushi quality in freshness and taste. The masago is salty and bright, and my favorite sauce out of what I tasted is for sure the coconut ginger. My husband had the sweet soy for his sauce and it was just the right balance of salty, tangy, and sweet! For the equivalent of what was essentially 6 sushi rolls (for me and my husband having 2 bowls between us) we paid 30 bucks and...that is a spectacular deal, come on now lol We are 100% coming back here, and I can't wait to try more combinations!

Google
Think they put half an onion in my bowl. Very plain little spot but the food is consistent. Been here a lot

Heather Hajes

Google
Great fresh food! Staff was helping in making menu choices. It's an order at the counter and sit down kinda place, not a sit down and be served restaurant, but don't let that steer you away, the food is GREAT!!

Don W.

Yelp
The food was fresh and tasty. Service was quick. Although I ordered for takeout, the restaurant appeared very clean.

Tim M.

Yelp
Fresh and flavorful, we picked this up as takeout and everyone enjoyed their bowl. We ordered ordered online and everything came out as ordered.

Muz D.

Yelp
I didn't know they also owned gogibop. Interesting. There teas are so fun. Drinking the 7'l flavors they have with the balls bursting in your mouth. PAUSE!!!! JESUS CHRIST!!!! THIS IS A FAMILY APP BRUH!!!!! lmao. But, I've tried all flavors and only 3 are worth taking about. If you've had one poke bowl you've had em all so hard to mess that up. Sushi is decent, but after you've been to King Sushi (West Ashley) it's hard to take take any other sushi spot as serious. Ijs. But it served it's purpose. I guess with places like these it's all about location. So good to have sushi and poke bowls on every section. Society is supposed to be designed to spoil us. This shopping center as a whole is getting better. Diverse eats have came through as the years have passed. I feel the young lady could have a lil better service but s they seem to be working the hell out of her everytime I come in so I get it. Hey.....I Love U!!!!!!

Pete K.

Yelp
This is the second time I've eaten here and they have easier earned the 5 star rating I'm giving them for the food quality, the prompt service, and the interior is clean and refreshing. Every time I find myself in the North Charleston area you can bet I'll be stopping in here to eat at least once.

Ineedudead E.

Yelp
This place is like the chipotle of sushi. They load you up on a bowl of cheap food and a small percentage of fish. The rice and edamame will definitely fill you up probably twice, but who wants to pay that much for mostly rice and vegetables? Didn't find anything standing out with the fish. It was mediocre average fish. Definitely didn't melt in my mouth. It looks pretty though and makes for good online photos. Recommend getting a side of poke to add to your bowl so you don't end up with half a pound of veggies and no fish.

Harold N.

Yelp
Idk why this place was called a Hawaiian Food place. Maybe cuz they got pineapples but more than likely cuz they have Hawaiian Sun beverages available. Service was friendly enough but nothing like not having the same food as their other locations in Columbia. I don't really remember Geri g any food since what I wanted was not available. It's bright and roomy inside.

Ravyn W.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite places to visit when I want something quick but filling. The staff is always welcoming and give very good suggestions. I love the Da Kine is my favorite but they are all delicious. If you want something sweet and cold I definitely recommend the mochi (get the trio). It's bright, clean, and welcoming!!!!

Amy Lauren S.

Yelp
After four years, the five-star review that I wrote after my first Poke Bros visit still holds up. Not much has changed over the years. Customers have a better idea of how to order, but the workers are still patient and helpful for those who need it. Like all restaurants, prices have increased but are still good value for the quality of the ingredients. I recently ordered a salmon bowl online, and my order was correct and complete in record time. I appreciate that the online orders are stored behind the counter. If you're looking for a healthy meal when shopping at Tanger Outlets or attending an event at the convention center, you can't beat Poke Bros.

Aly W.

Yelp
Poke Bros hit the spot and satisfied my craving for poke! I've sure missed it since HI. The menu is easy to understand. When you look at it, there are some popular bowl combinations listed, but you can make your own. I walked in and was fourth in line. It went quick because the people in front of me were clearly regulars. They ordered from the menu and quickly knew their substitutions and sauces they'd like. Even with the pre-made bowls, you can still pick your base--which I really appreciate because I love brown rice, as opposed to the traditional white rice. This location is near Starbucks, a great used book store, and just up the road from the convention center, outlets, and Sam's Club. The women working were patient and efficient. The topping selection at the end is a pro move! I added cashews :)

Jess R.

Yelp
I only give good reviews where they're due and this place definitely deserves one. The food always tastes fresh and even better than that is the service. Their employees are so quick and they're super nice. Love it here

Aliya B.

Yelp
Loved this bowl, I got the Johnny Utah and added seasame seeds and tempura flakes. Would recommend the flakes for added crunchiness and the salmon was fresh!

Allison T.

Yelp
I was in the area and wanted a poke bowl and this hit the spot. Friendly staff and quick delivery of my bowl. It was fresh and yummy.

Stacey P.

Yelp
I love Poke! My co-workers recommend Poke Bros and it was one of my favorite lunches. It was easily located in a strip mall and while there was a substantial line when we entered it moved very quick. It is a functional space with little frills but it worked. The food was delicious! I loved the portion sizes, the freshness of the ingredients, and the tastiness of everything. The employees were wonderfully polite and patient.

Brian L.

Yelp
Excellent food and fast service. I got the Hula Bowl and the spicy Kani salad. They were both very good and fresh.

Lydia L.

Yelp
Cute strip mall poke spot! The fish and other ingredients were super fresh and delicious, and there's a good selection of toppings. Some have upcharges of 50 cents or a dollar, but you're not limited in the number you can get. The wasabi aioli had some real kick, which I loved. The only complaint I had was that the rice was very overcooked, to the point of just being mush. Based on all the positive reviews, I'm guessing it was just a bad batch, but it was a real bummer in an otherwise delicious lunch.

Jeff H.

Yelp
A fantastic restaurant with fresh ingredients like mango, ginger, onions, pineapple, peppers, rice, garlic, seafood, noodles, and chicken. There's plenty of seating and the ambience is very nice. Friendly folks and delicious poke bowls custom made or special to order.

Tomaz V.

Yelp
Well prepared Poke with very fresh ingredients Place is not sophisticated, but it is very clean

Scotty C.

Yelp
Poke Bros has been a more regular stop for me lately so it's time for an update on my old review from after they opened. I find myself in the area of that plaza near the outlets for different reasons and it's now one of my go-to quick meals. It's way better than all the fast food options in the area for a multitude of reasons and they gave Gluten Free options as well (including some of their sauces). The move the line pretty quickly too. Even when we went before the Hamilton Show and it was packed with a line out the door. I love that you can get a healthier option with quality ingredients plus a generous portion of food for a very reasonable price. Lately I've been getting the High Tide bowl which isn't exactly poke because it's chicken and shrimp, but I love all the toppings and it's so good with the spicy chicken. I love the tuna as well and sometimes like to add the crab stick.

Olivia M.

Yelp
Always a joy coming in here customizing my poke bowls . Super customer service as the cashier was super helpful and pleasant . It's a relaxed environment as you can dine in or sit outside and the colors are vibrant .

Seth B.

Yelp
It's a chill and neat spot. The food is prepared in an interesting art form. The staff is okay. Gluten free options are available. It's not the place for the Poké week.

Chrissy F.

Yelp
Oh gosh! Didn't realize I haven't written a review for this spot! It's the ultimate lunch spot - healthy and the price is right. Been here several times and never disappoints. They offer bowl ideas but I prefer the "build your own" approach. You can pick from sushi, brown, white rice, or greens as the base. From there the next station is a choice of toppings like seaweed salad, roe, edamame, mango. The proteins go from spicy to regular fish like tuna and salmon. The sauces are also a joy - they suggested two and it was dynamite in flavor! The fridge in the front has some unique drinks too beyond regular soda and tea. The workers are super cheerful and very polite. Quick service, one of my favorite "fast food" places!

Wendy W.

Yelp
Almost $14 for a poke bowl that barely had anything but rice. If you get a male server, you will get a significantly smaller portion size. He gave half scoops of every vegetable except onions and edamame. Honestly disappointed especially with such high reviews. The customer after me, has their bowl so full it was nearly double my portion in tuna. They had only order the ahi tuna. I ordered a half and half ahi and marinated tuna. But somehow their one potion of tuna is significantly larger than the two half and half combined. All I can recommend is to get the female server to scoop your bowl! She was so generous with her scoops. You won't end up eating mostly rice and edamame like me.

Sean H.

Yelp
Delicious food. Great service. Added extra edamame as requested. Definitely will be back for more.

Ely I.

Yelp
Clean restaurant and clean bathroom. Super quick service. Food was absolute delicious. We had the duke and hula bowls and had some ice cream mochi! Can't go wrong here, highly recommend it!

Hitesh J.

Yelp
Quick service as any fast food place, but the food was sit down restaurant quality. Got the Johny Utah and was impressed with the quality of the salmon and the taste of the ingredients mixed together. Will be my go to place in North Charleston! Did takeout, but would be happy to dine in any time.

Marc T.

Yelp
Staying close by for work, so walked over for dinner. Staff was super friendly and very helpful. Place was busy with a steady flow of customers, which is always a good sign. Choose one of the signature bowls. All of the ingredients were fresh and it was made to order. It was very good! Would recommend for anybody looking for a Poki bowl in this area.

Jenny S.

Yelp
Everything here is super fresh! It was so hard to decide what the order. I went with the signature bowl called "Johnny Utah". It came with spicy salmon. The ingredients were fantastic. I loved every single bite. And the best part was, it was healthy! Do yourself a favor and give this place a try!

Teri B.

Yelp
Looking for a place for a quick lunch and found this restaurant near my hotel. Easy to find, directions were spot on. The menu preview on Yelp helped me to understand the ordering process, and I was able to order what I wanted easily. The poke bowl was delicious. I got the Johnny Utah salmon bowl with brown rice. Just what I needed. The restaurant was clean and well maintained and staff helpful and professional.

Daphne F.

Yelp
I have never had poke before but this place made me a poke lover. Everything was super fresh. The people were super patient as I asked questions. Definitely will be going back. Super good and don't feel bogged down after eating there.

Courtney V.

Yelp
Poke Bros is a go-to for us during a busy work week. It's always clean and with a pretty steady crowd gathering to grab a quick lunch. The food is always fresh and although some may say it's a little pricey, I don't mind.

Kelsey D.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious with the best service! My boyfriend and I stopped in here on a whim after shopping at the nearby Tanger Outlets all morning, and we had the best experience! It was calm and clean inside, and just after the lunch rush (2pm) so there were only a few other customers. The workers were especially kind, and they thanked us just for stopping by and ordering a couple bowls. On top of that, the poke bowl was excellent!! I had the spicy salmon, which was fresh and flavorful without being too spicy, and my boyfriend ordered the spicy chicken, which was also very tasty. The sriracha aioli was also a nice touch, which I would recommend to all! I didn't realize as I was ordering that certain toppings cost $0.50 to $1 extra (mango, seaweed salad, and avocado), but honestly my bowl was so delicious I didn't even care. My boyfriend and I ate inside and enjoyed the pleasant and clean atmosphere. I wish I lived closer so I could go here every day! Would be a perfect spot for a lunch break or even for dinner!

Cory W.

Yelp
Like subway, but wayyy better, and for sushi bowls!!! Super fresh ingredients, very clean interior, and so many options!! Can't believe this is my first time coming here but def won't be the last. YUMMAYYYYYY!!! :)

Tiarra T.

Yelp
Visiting after COVID is still the same service is great and protocols for safety are well. My food was fresh and quick.

Heist I.

Yelp
I usually get this at least twice a month because it is so good, but today it was horrible! My boss ordered it for me for my birthday today to have on lunch and it was filled with raw chicken. At first, I thought maybe it was one bad piece, but the whole entire bowl was just awful. The chicken was not cooked and it was just disappointing because I order from here so much and it was a waste of a birthday lunch. I do overall enjoy this place, but maybe don't go today or get the chicken.

Scot M.

Yelp
We're back before another hockey game. It's close to coliseum, not busy, and the food was great. The Duke always amazing.

Steve S.

Yelp
Food was great. Lots of options. Customer service was great as well. Easy internet order, seamless pickup.

Lilly J.

Yelp
Yeahhhh - this place was awesome. I love poke - I came from the Northeast and have eaten poke in Hawaii so am a self proclaimed poke snob (I know - ugh). But with all the poke I have eaten, Poke Bros was so fresh and delicious. We ordered two combinations, one with spicy tuna and salmon and one spicy salmon and tuna. Portions were great and delivery was quick via Uber Eats too! I was super full after my meal. I can't stop thinking about how fresh everything was! Highly recommend this place for a quick, refreshing, and delicious lunch.

Chelsea M.

Yelp
This is our favorite quick poke place. Been ordering from them since they opened. Super easy to order from as well and customize your bowl.

Opal D.

Yelp
Yummm... but when I asked for two different fishes, I was only offered the option to split flavors for a single-scoop. But as I ate my food, I saw a large man ask for a second scoop of fish and they gave him two scoops! I have never been full after eating a poke bowl. I would've gladly paid for two scoops; and in my experience, most poke places allow you to purchase additional fish. Very weird.

Jennifer T.

Yelp
Are you kidding me? Really!!? ...that was all the protein I get in the Duke poke bowl?? It's a carb bowl loaded with 2 scoops of rice, a few various veggies, edamame, and about 2 ounces of meat! Not enough for $13. Oh, and it's $3 for 2 more ounces... All I can say is that the Poke Bowl in Atlanta was filled with lots of veggies, a scoop of rice and 6+ ounces of your choice of meat! Nah! Not again.

H B.

Yelp
I love me some poke. This place is great... nice and clean. I like to make my own so I can pack on the protein. I'll be back!

Jessica B.

Yelp
I had never had a poke bowl until this location opened. I was definitely missing out! The location is great, but the parking is absolutely terrible. That shopping center has so many stores and restaurants but limited parking. If you go at lunch time, be prepared to have to park further away or not find parking at all. If there is a line, don't let it fool you- it moves fairly quick. They do also offer online ordering so you can order ahead for pick up. The store is small, with limited tables- I want to say four and two high tops. People are pretty nice and let you share tables if you ask, so that is nice. Thanks, Charlestonians, for being polite. The inside is clean and pretty boring, but it doesn't need to be much. They do offer some menu items of creations they have made, but I always make my own. The tuna and shrimp is fantastic! I do brown rice, usually. They have white rice, sushi rice, brown rice and a greens option as the base. I add pineapple, edamame, carrots, cucumber, avocado, nuts and masago. There are a lot of other options as well. I like the ponzu sauce and the coconut ginger sauce. I top it with crunchy onions. They do offer other things for the bowl that isn't seafood, if that isn't your jam. The chicken options are pretty good, too! I highly recommend checking it out.

Nathanael P.

Yelp
I had a poke bowl and 3 pieces of mochi. The poke bowl was about 15 dollars, and tasted good, I got the coconut ginger sauce and it went well with the salmon and tuna. They have many choices of toppings and the bowls are very customizable - anyone can find something they like. The mochi was very hard, however, hard as a brick and they were smaller than i expected, smaller than a golf ball and they were a bit expensive for what they were. The location is right near Tanger Outlets, so if you are looking for a quick poke bowl, this is a good spot.

Sam E.

Yelp
This place does not have the original poke sauce, weird for a poke bowl place. The service was not great. The lady behind the counter got irritated when I asked for a regular poke sauce. I ended up with wasabi aioli which was ok. With COVID shields up and them wearing mask, it was hard to hear/understand what she was saying.

Lori J.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I LOVE this place. It's our go-to takeout. It's great cus if he's not in the mood for poke, he can still get chicken. Different kinds of rice and toppings are the best! I love that I can get salmon, tuna, and shrimp and it doesn't break the bank. Usually lasts me until lunch the next day- rice isn't as fresh but still good!

Lisa M.

Yelp
We eat poke quiet a bit, so when we saw that this poke place was across from our hotel, we decided to try it. It was one of the best I've had! Fresh ingredients and lots of options, and cheaper than what we're used to in suburban Orlando. The woman making the bowls was working all alone, but she was friendly and efficient!

Danielle P.

Yelp
Love Love POKE!!! I wish we had one in Summerville! I always order the Hula Bowl. It is a small place, but fast and friendly. There is options for everyone including chicken if you don't want to do the poke! You can choose from sushi rice, brown rice, or salad mix! I never am able to finish my bowl. It is a lot of food. The crab salad is legit! I love it! If you like sushi, you will love Poke!

Annette M.

Yelp
Stopped in today after we arrived in Charleston. Close to the airport, across from the convention center and nearby many hotels. Our family REALLY enjoyed our dinners. So much that we talked about how great a franchise location would do in Denver. About $50 for a family of four with 4 poke bowls and 4 drinks. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. They will offer you a sample of the "sauce" before committing. I choose the salad base and added seaweed salad, green onions, avocado, cucumbers, spicy salmon, tempura flakes, and topped it with coconut ginger and spicy aoli. The offer tuna as well as salmon poke and it was so fresh and light. We can't wait to come back.

Cody B.

Yelp
Out here for work and decided to give this place a try. Thoroughly enjoyed it and the menu was easy to follow. There were a couple of regulars in front of me so I just listened and followed their lead. Super clean, service was great and was in and out in about 10 min.
