"PokéBar, the roving pop-up bar for the Pokémon-obsessed, is heading for Nashville in 2020. Setting up shop April 18 and 19, 2020 in a not-yet determined location, the culinary draws here are the Pokémon burgers — crafted to look like Pikachu, Charmander, and Bulbasaur. There are also themed cocktails and non-alcoholic options, beer, and wine. The bar will serve as a Pokémon gym for players. Ticket-holders will be able to catch and train their Poké-creatures. There will also be trivia, costume contests, and a DJ for the inevitable Pokemon dance party. Tickets to the pop-up run $45, and include one Pokémon themed burger and a themed drink. Limited tickets are available and are sold on a first-come-first-serve basis. Pokémon-obsessed fans can register ahead of time, and check out pre-sale ticket options here. The Nashville pop-up location hasn’t been decided yet, so stay tuned for more info as April creeps closer." - Delia Jo Ramsey

This was our first time at a poke restaurant. The staff were patient while we navigated the new new. My dish had salmon, while my husband had tuna. We both started with a base of sushi rice. It was fun picking toppings. This is a new favorite

Google
Everything is great about this Poke experience. The order online and within three minutes I got a notification my order was ready. Walked across the street from my hotel to pick up and was greeted by very friendly staff as I wheeled in with my little doggie in her stroller. Fresh ingredients and plenty of protein, great sauces.

Google
This poke spot is so good! It's delicious. The fish is seasoned so well. The texture of the fish is addicting. Anddddd they have really good sauces!!!

I accidentally ran into this little restaurant when I was on a business trip to Nashville. It was a pretty nice clean little restaurant on the street nearby the Parthenon. I love their poke, juicy and fresh. The lady even nicely reminded me that you know it would be double charge when I ordered for another scoop of salmon. Of course I knew this as a poke lover, but I was really impressed by how they cared about their customers. Nice food and kind people.

Google
This was my first experience with a Poke Bowl and I tried the poke bowl your way. It was great! The lady that helped me through the process was nice and super helpful in helping me create my perfect bowl. I was very much surprised by how good it was. I was even able to get my parents (who don't eat sushi of any kind) to try it! The spicy tuna was on point. I got the spicy kani side salad as well. It was great and made right in front of me as well. Tried the mochi chocolate chip ice cream and vanilla ice cream. They were a little weird in texture but good. I didn't know what to expect the first time trying those. I will definitely be back next time I'm in town!

hello brain

Google
The employees were very friendly. The restaurant was very clean. The food was amazing I will definitely go back.

Google
Yikes! Low quality fish with lots of connective tissue still attached and obnoxiously high prices. Can’t get full given the small size of these bowls. If you want a shrimp bowl with extra pineapple and carrot sticks this is your spot, if you want real poke at a good price keep looking.

Jack Mok

Google
A new experience for Vanderbilt students and Nashville residents. The fish tastes great, though the portion size left me somewhat wanting for more. Also, the restaurant doesn't offer free tap water, only stating that bottled water was available for purchase...

Tina C.

Yelp
Ordered off Uber Eats and was really happy with my custom bowl order! They were able to put multiple sauces on the side and got my order exactly correct, with a generous amount of salmon too. Ingredients were very fresh and tasty. Nothing mind blowing for a poke bowl, but certainly does justice to a classic.

Josie H.

Yelp
I've never had a bad order from this restaurant. I was skeptical about the concept of Poke, buttttt they changed my mind completely! Very consistent with portions and taste. Never had an "off" bowl.

Andrea W.

Yelp
Ordered pickup via Doordash, order was ready within 5-10 minutes. Free parking lot with lots of space, I got a half and half bowl with spicy salmon and marinated tuna on top of salad, OG and ponzu sauces, tofu, pineapple, cucumber, corn, green onion, sweet onion, carrots, jalapeno, crispy onion, tempura flakes, and I added avocado for $1.75, came out to be $15.84 total which was pretty good for a good amount of food. Spicy salmon was thankfully not with mayo and actually quite spicy, and the marinated tuna was flavorful as well. I liked all the add-ins and the avocado was pretty good too. Wish they had some non-mayo spicy sauces though. Fish was quite fresh, had a good meal! Would come back.

Yelp
My go-to poke place in Nashville!! You get to build your own bowl, and it's always good. I order delivery from here on Postmates ALL the time and they are literally the quickest at getting your order done and at your door. Also, the workers there are the sweetest. I once ordered pickup and got a flat tire so I couldn't pick it up, and the workers called Postmates themselves to get me a refund. The poke itself is so fresh and delicious. I usually get a half and half brown rice and salad bowl, with fresh salmon, and a bunch of veggies (carrots, green onion, pineapple, cucumber, seaweed salad (!!!), etc.). I get the OG sauce and the sriracha aioli, which are bright and creamy, respectively, and top it all off with crushed cashews. Of course, it's not cheap, but that's what you get for eating fresh fish. In my opinion it is worth it once in a while. It's also a healthy dinner option!

Emily H.

Yelp
Quick service and lots of options - I love the spicy tuna and pineapple! Very close to Centennial park, so you can take your bowl to go and have a nice picnic in the park!

Natalie L.

Yelp
Great place for poke. The ingredients were fresh and I liked that they had a good variety of toppings, proteins and sauces. They give you a good sized portion as well. Be aware that some of the toppings are additional, the sign above does list some of the additional prices, but its not clearly labelled beside the toppings itself. I appreciated how quickly you get the food and it's a great option when you're in a rush. It's conveniently located near the Parthenon so I've come here a few times to grab food for a picnic in the park.

Jennie C.

Yelp
i heard so much about this place and the hype is real!!! they are not too skimpy on the portions and it seems like they are a family owned business they are also super speedy and it's good for grab and go if you are in a rush or there is also a seating area that can accommodate maybe 20 total patrons which is quite nice i really liked the tofu and salmon it was all really fresh which is surprising for a land locked state !!

Maxine M.

Yelp
Just popped into lot to pick up dry cleaning, saw the poke bros location and thought hey, why not? It is nice, clean, the owners are nice and the poke was fresh and toppings were amazing... seaweed salad, avocados, edamame, and on and on of yum. Will be back for sure.

Karin A.

Yelp
For a fast casual, raw fish serving establishment in a landlocked state, Poke Bros is pretty good. I had it for the first time last week and then had it again 4 days later - so they definitely did something right! Pictured is a mixture of the spicy tuna and marinated tuna, except it kinda felt like it was just regular tuna? Still pretty good and they give you a LOT for the cost. They have signature bowls you can pick from or build your own. The second time I went I wasn't feeling fish so I got the shrimp, which I think I ultimately preferred and would get next time I go. Also, the spicy aioli sauce is delicious! Additionally, it is worth the up charge for the masago and seaweed salad. There is a parking lot and the establishment is easy to get to in the Midtown area of Nashville. The offer order ahead online and the prices were reasonable in my opinion.

Nicolette T.

Yelp
I cannot recommend Poke Bros enough, to those craving a poke bowl. There is a great variety of fresh ingredients here. For the price I feel like you get a good amount of high quality good. I have been several times now, and always receive quick and welcoming service. I will definitely be back!

Kathy D.

Yelp
Great fast casual poke bowl! Super clean location, friendly staff. 10/10 would go again.

William L.

Yelp
This is pretty much your standard poke place with everything you want - base + protein choices + unlimited toppings. Some of the toppings are extra add-ons so just be aware of that and pay attention to the signage. The pokebowls were yummy and filling and they also sell mochi ice cream if you want a dessert. (Tip - order the mochi with your poke instead of on its own at the end so it has time to melt a little before you eat it.)

Jodie N.

Yelp
Came by around 1pm during the weekday with no crowd. The workers were very nice, and gave a generous amount of food for the extras I paid for. Would definitely come back again.

Sabrina S.

Yelp
If you want rude customer service and pay a lot of a little this is the place to be. Held a conversation laughing etc while I was trying to place an order. Don't like to provide the amount of food that is needed for the price.

Arthur B.

Yelp
A solid chipotle style poke bowl place. About the right price for Poke. Easy parking outside is nice. Service was quick.

K B.

Yelp
My favorite Poke place I've tried in nashville. I've had all the places in the greater Nashville area and Poke Bros is consistently the freshest and cleanest place of them all. I get the same bowl every time probably every other week. Even when I go in late after work, they're always serving me with a smile. I truly cannot hype this place up enough I wish I took pictures, but I eat it too fast :)

Caroline S.

Yelp
got charged an extra 5 for double meat even though the person who ordered online had regular meat and I got maybe 2 more pieces of tuna than they did

Nicole T.

Yelp
I've ordered and gone to Poke Bros on multiple occasions. Each time they haven't disappointed me. I prefer making my own bowl so I can customize it with what I like. Quick note, both meats were pretty spicy, so if you like spicy food then choose the spicy tuna and salmon. If you're looking for a filling and healthy meal, look no further than Poke Bros!

Talia S.

Yelp
I have been to Poke Bros 3 times now and have enjoyed my experience each time. The first time was exceptional because of their OG sauce. It is so good! However, I realized I'm intolerant of some of the ingredients which was disappointing so I have been working on finding my perfect mix of sauces to find a good alternative. I love the marinated regular and spicy tuna! These really add so much flavor. There aren't too many healthy bowl/salad places in the area so I'm very happy Poke Bros exists! I do wish they offered cups of water because a bowl and water bottle gets quite expensive. Overall though, this is a good go to for a healthy, filling meal!

Mary Kate E.

Yelp
This is your poke equivalent to Chipotle. You pick out your toppings and protein then go from there. They have items you can choose from off the menu or do a build your own. I opted for the build your own. This is an easy and painless option to get a quick meal on the run. It doesn't have a lot of dine-in space, but that is available to you if you wish to have it. Good customer service and decent quality fish. I'd recommend ordering something to-go, take it to Centennial Park over your lunch break, and enjoy.

Jonathan S.

Yelp
Overall the bowl was decent. Fish seemed fresh. Nice toppings. Poorly assembled and marinated. Definitely not the best poke bowl I've had, not even close. However this is the first poke spot I've tried since living in Nashville. Portion sizes are not aligned with the pricing. They are somewhat liberal with the toppings minus the avocado, but very chincey on the fish. My bowl was $15 and some change and I was watching her scoop the fish and count the chunks, and removed several pieces before adding into the bowl. Not a great look Customer service was subpar and will be the main reason I will not return. I can suffer through poor customer service for a high-quality meal/item, but this does not qualify as that. The two employees had a conversation the entire time they took my order and made my bowl. They had me waiting on their conversation before I could place my order. If you are on the fence of trying this place or somewhere else, I would suggest elsewhere

Lauren C.

Yelp
The poke bowls here are amazing! I took one star off because I felt that the bowls are slightly overpriced, and their fish can sometimes be a little tough. However, it's best poke restaurant you'll ever find in Nashville, and the staff especially are super friendly!

Sofia Q.

Yelp
My go-to Nashville poke spot. Always swimming with Vandy students. I love the diverse selections and the spicy salmon here is so good! A little overpriced but it always tastes fresh and delicious.

Jessy J.

Yelp
It's a small shop with seating for 8-12 people, so don't recommend eating there. But menu options were great. Staff was friendly but I did feel rushed when others came in. Not super expensive but excellent quality items. Recommend the Johnny Utah Salmon bowl and Half & Half bowl.

Maddie H.

Yelp
Poke bowls are one of my favorite things to eat! They are quick to order, have fresh veggies and delicious seafood and are (semi) healthy yet tasty. They have a Hawaiian flair with the the sauces and ingredients which I like. Having said this, I may be a tough critic for poke bowls. Poke Bros in Midtown is in a small shopping center on Elliston Place. They do have a small parking lot for all the business in that center. When I came late afternoon there was no one in the storefront and only one employee, which was surprising for a new business. I ordered the Da Kine poke bowl which has ahi tuna, seaweed, sweet onion and green onion, masago (fish eggs) and a ponzu sauce. You can pick the base of your bowl to be white rice, brown rice or salad. I got a mixture of salad and browl rice for my base which I thought was perfect. You can pick what toppings you want as well which include wonton strips and sesame seeds. It tasted like something was missing in this bowl. There was barely any sauce and so I couldn't really taste it. I also think it needed a bit of kick or some spice but I didn't see an option to put sriracha or something spicy on it. I'd be willing to give this place one more shot to wow me but so far I think it doesn't really compare to a place like Zushipoke or Funk Seoul Brothers.

Rob G.

Yelp
First of all the staff are just rude as can be. They could care less about your order - they just want your money. If you like Poke, go somewhere else - you'll be much happier than eating here. The tuna on my bowl was meager at best and to get more was an extra $5. The tuna had no flavor at all. I had to ask several times for them to go back and add the toppings that I asked for..... We'll never go back here.

Kay P.

Yelp
It was my first time to ever try Poke. The man behind the counter was so kind and offered for my friend and I to taste things beforehand. I believe he was the owner. Our food was very good and tasted very fresh! Now I'm a Poke lover!

Matt S.

Yelp
Okay pike in downtown Nashville, flavorful seasoning on the spicy tuna and salmon with plenty of toppings added in

Corrine P.

Yelp
I've been twice and each time the same two women work here and they are some of the least friendly people in Nashville. They charge you for every additional item, but when you ask for it they act annoyed and start muttering things under their breath. I would have spent more money here, but I was afraid if I asked for something else they would bark at me. There is almost never a line when I go so it's not like they have a reason to be in a hurry and my friends and I are very polite and appreciative, yet they act like we are ruining their day just by daring to want to give them money. I don't enjoy going here. And I have seen them treat other customers this way, so it seems to just be their consistent MO no matter who you are. At least it's not anything against me, but still makes me not want to come here . If poor and rude service isn't enough to turn you away then the price should. They actually charge extra for things that are standard at most poki places such as seaweed salad and masago. If you want more than one meat or even 1/2 and 1/2 that's extra too. I recommend Zushi Poki on 8th. It's more of a sit down, but they do take out, and even if you dine in and have a server it's still cheaper after tip. Plus they are the nicest people.

Shirley C.

Yelp
Tasty, customizable poke bowls! The place is set up similar to Chipotle except it's poke instead of Mexican. The Duke: 4/5 As this was my first time here, I elected to get one of the signature bowls, opting for the Duke because of the protein variety as well as the jalapenos and gochujang (can't resist something spicy). What I appreciated about the ordering process is that even though I was not building my own bowl, I was still able to get as many toppings as I wanted. As for the bowl itself, I thought that the seafood (tuna, salmon, shrimp) was all relatively fresh and prepared well. The fresh veggies (sweet onion, edamame, cucumber) also brightened up the dish, and I loved the flavors from the combination of sauces (ponzu, OG, gochujang). The only thing is that I felt like the sushi rice was somewhat heavy considering the lightness of all the other ingredients. If I were to go again, I would probably opt for the salad as a base instead.

Melissa G.

Yelp
Today was my first time having this place via Uber Eats. The food quality is good, but the presentation was mediocre. It sort of looked like someone made my bowl in a hurry and my avocado pieces were all mushy. The cucumbers all had a different thickness and I just feel like my bowl was half-assed. I paid $15 for a poke bowl and presentation is pretty important when I order food from any restaurant. For a fair comparison, I would encourage the manager or owner to take a peek at Kawai Poke Co in East Nashville; their bowls come out picture perfect every single time.

Pam L.

Yelp
This place is sooo good. Food is fresh and delicious. It's set up so you can either pick a bowl that's on the menu or pick your own ingredients. I wish there was one of these restaurants closer to me.

Yan L.

Yelp
Service is good, The food is great! It's delicious and rich. All ingredients are fresh, fresh, fresh!

Sydney L.

Yelp
Quick and delicious poke bowl! I ordered half and half rice (half sushi, half brown). Their sushi rice is super good and authentic I think! I also put edamame, corn, avocado, wonton chips, carrots, and cucumber in addition to tuna. I'm coming back for sure!

Amy D.

Yelp
When looking for a healthy but filling lunch or dinner, this is your SPOT. We've lived around the area for a while and recently tried it - and it was so good we went twice in two days, back to back! They have pre made poke bowls and you can make your own. I got shrimp, crab, avocado and a bunch of other veggies over sushi rice with a few sauces and crispy onions on top - highly recommend the crispy onions. My boyfriend got tuna and said it was incredibly high quality, if that's your preference. The bowls are incredibly filling for a great price - I never spend more than like $12 when I build my bowls, and I only finish the whole thing if I'm STARVING - often I have some leftover. Check this place out!

Jasmine Z.

Yelp
It's like a mixture of Japanese sushi and random western sauces. The weird thing is ..... it tastes great! Close to Vandy campus and commodore card is accepted here.

Mandy K.

Yelp
My college aged daughters are so thrilled to Welcome Poke Bros to Nashville!! They are already in several other cities with much success. This is fresh and fast and all the good things that Hawaiian poke can be!! You can build your own bowl with so many tempting choices... avocado, edamame, tuna, spicy tuna, marinated tuna, shrimp, salmon, chicken. Or you can select one of their "signature bowls" so you don't have any guesswork. We ordered online so we could grab and go. Everything was ready on time and just as ordered. Two thumbs up. Walking distance from Vanderbilt. Parking lot in the front. Grab some cookies for dessert next door at Tiffs Treats!

Peggy O.

Yelp
I too am from California and also know my poke. After work at one of the local hospitals, I saw a new poke restaurant, Poke brothers. After looking at the menu, figured I would give it a try. The staff was friendly and very welcoming. All of the ingredients looked incredibly fresh and the restaurant was quite clean. The food was fantastic. Really all so delicious and I can't wait to return. Avocado fresh, both the tuna and salmon appeared to be a high-quality. So tasty!! Kudos to Poke brothers.

Elizabeth A.

Yelp
I get this one a week for lunch because its healthy and delicious and the portion is actually quite big (it lasts two lunches most times). I always do a build your own bowl and add in so many things. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. It all tastes really fresh and the sauces add a lot of flavor.

Monty W.

Yelp
A quality option when craving poke. The staff was really nice and inviting. They showed me a tasty option that I didn't even consider originally - the tako salad which was colorful and really good texture. I always default to salmon, so I had some salmon and tako mix . Though not exhaustive on the list of ingredients, they have the solid choices. Shrimp, chicken, tofu, tako salad, crab stick are protein options. Some ingredients are addition $1 each (like seaweed salad, crab stick, and avocado). I consider it a decent value for poke places with a set bowl being $9-12. I like the friendly service and plenty of parking within the strip mall. I just wish they played a track of music or something as it was dead quiet with the sound of the fridge. I saw multiple web orders come in so must be the default for many people ordering here.

Lauren S.

Yelp
Price is always different even though I always order the same thing... they always taste great but I can't handle the inconsistency and when I ask why is it more expensive I can never understand the response and just say ok. I go here a few times a week so I obviously like it but I always expect to pay more. I order the make your own with salmon ($10.50). Today I paid $16. It's usually between $13-$17 I had a new girl today I think and she only put one 1/2 a scoop (4-5 pieces) and when I asked if there was supposed to be two scoops or more than that she just put another and charged me for extra fish....

Suzy R.

Yelp
They give so little poke. You're basically paying for all the sides. And they put the furikake on the protein, when it should be on the rice. It tasted alright, but if they want to call themselves Hawaiian poke bowl then they gotta give more fish....coming from someone from Hawaii. That scoop was pathetic.

Carly L.

Yelp
The best option for food in this neighborhood! It's hard to find fresh, light, healthy food in Nashville. I like that you can choose a salad base instead of rice for a low carb option. The wasabi aioli is great. Toppings and fish are all fresh. I'm very grateful to have this place nearby and we will be frequenting it more often. Please show this local business some support, especially while the Vanderbilt kids are off campus. Thank you, Poke Bros!

Sydney P.

Yelp
I frequently Uber eats from Poke Bros and love how customizable and quick they are! You can get absolutely any combination in your bowl and they are all fresh, yummy ingredients! The sushi rice base and salad base are my favorites along with the spicy tuna and seaweed salad. This is definitely the perfect go to poke spot.

Nekia W.

Yelp
Healthy food options and tasty. This is now a part of my healthy foods. Good fast customer service and nice location.

Joyce W.

Yelp
I brought my son to the Elliston place location in midtown Nashville because I really wanted him to try it. I used to go all the time and it was pricey but the service was great. Within the past year, the last few times I've gone, the service was truly unacceptable and yesterday was no different. I started to leave when I walked in and saw the same two ladies but I decided that the it was a beautiful day so maybe their attitudes would be different. Well, unfortunately they were both rude. The lady that appeared to be older was both rude and acted like she didn't want to fix my bowl and she was very stingy with the portions even tho she was going to charge me extra. We won't be back. I refuse to give my money to people that are going to be rude to me and my kid. Unacceptable.

Scott S.

Yelp
Perfect fresh ingredients. Great variety too. Fast service and very clean. I'll definitely go back.

Nick R.

Yelp
I really like this place. It's walking distance from my office but even better, the food is great. It's a little pricey but well worth the cost. I do a custom order bowl the few times I've been and both times I have not been disappointed.

Alician M.

Yelp
Love the marinated poke, pineapple and sweet soy ! Do not miss this spot Excellent Poke
