The Best Poke in Honolulu: 11 Restaurants to Hit | Eater

"In industrial Kalihi, near a chicken hatchery, you’ll find Poke by the Pound, where big, fresh chunks of ‘ahi are mixed with island flavorings like oyster sauce with crunchy bits of fried garlic. It’s clear that less is more with the Hawaiian salt poke, which comes with just fresh fish, white onion, green onion, and coarse Hawaiian salt. The six or so offerings at any given time are premixed in small batches and available by the pound (of course), or scooped over vinegared sushi rice for a poke bowl." - Martha Cheng

Google
Great food. Some of the freshest poké I’ve had in Hawaii. Owner is quite nice and showed us hospitality during our dine in. Highly recommended stop for poké. Will be back soon!

Google
If you’re looking for a legitimate local place to taste some fresh, delicious, and tasty fish based poke, this place is definitely the go to When visiting Oahu, Hawaii my friends and I went to this place multiple times after long strenuous hikes or even trying to get a nice hefty meal. Just look at my photos, I devoured my plate before they even had a chance to touch it. 10/10 would recommend again and again and again.

Google
Good poke spot, a bit on the pricier side but overall good.

Google
They’re not kidding. The fish is very fresh and the poke appears freshly made throughout the day. My husband is a bit particular about the fishy smell with some poke but did not feel Poke by the Pound smelled fishy at all. On our first try, we each got the poke bowl with 2 options so we were able to try the tako, limu, and spicy ahi. We also had a side of the ahi belly. The second time we bought a shoyu poke bowl, and got garlic and spicy ahi by the pound. I love poke and have it every day when in Hawaii. I feel their fish and poke is much more fresh than others I have tried on the island. Flavors are a great balance (for each poke we tried)-not heavy and not overwhelming, which is quite satisfying. I felt their poke is good the way it’s made, but there are shakers with furikake, sea salt, and red chili peppers (?) by the register to add if desired. They also sell gingah spread, which I will try next time. We were both also pretty impressed with the ahi belly. Great flavor and buttery belly (not a heavy buttery feel). Meat not overcooked and still tender. I’m usually dissatisfied with cooked fish but I really enjoyed the ahi belly and will definitely have this again. I felt the price was appropriate for the quality and freshness. We came here twice (once around 11:30a and another day around 3:30p) and found parking (free) in the attached parking lot immediately. Establishment was clean. Service was quick and friendly. Downside is that my standard for good poke is now higher. I’ll be recommending this to my friends and also coming back!

FRESH FRESH FRESH and great tasting. These guys know what they are doing. Nice selection of Poke and seafood. Friendly staff, CLEAN, and reasonably priced. This should be your go-to if you want FRESH poke! Highly recommend 👌! Mahalo

Google
High quality of Poke and made fresh daily. A little higher of price than what I'm used to at over $30 per pound. I tried 1/4 lb of every available Tuna Poke and ate every bit. There are some cooked options available that I will return for. Not much room to eat inside, but perfect for take out and ready fast. The garlic poke was my favorite with large consistent chunks, zero striations and seemed to be a different tuna or cut than the Hawaiian Salt poke. The spicy big eye Tuna was on point as well.

Google
Well. We went in during business hours and they said “we are still waiting for the poke!” …so they literally had no poke. A poke place with no fish. I asked where else they recommended for poke and they said “monarch seafood” which, when I looked it up, doesn’t seem to have or specialize in poke. We went to Alicia’s instead.

Google
Love poke, this place was good but price was high. Location right off main route, parking a bit of challenge. Da Creeper was tasty and spicy. Service was helpful and COVID-19 protocols were being followed. Nice selection of poke and fresh.

Yelp
Expensive but OH SO GOOD. This place is the definition of "hole in the wall". Heck even parking was difficult to find! The lady that served us was very helpful, though. Now, the poke was AMAZING. Appearently it's fresh, never frozen, and that makes a big difference! We tried a couple of different types and they threw in some rice for us as well. I recommend getting some of their kimchi to mix in with your poke.

Yelp
First off parking can be difficult so maybe if you can, have someone go with you so one person can go in while the other drives around. I went on a holiday so I was able to find street parking. I got a poke bowl which comes with your choice of two types of poke and sushi rice. The sushi rice is lightly flavored so don't worry about it being too vinegary, it is lightly flavored in taste and a little sweet. That is the theme with the flavors being there but not overpowering. I got the spicy ahi and garlic poke. The spicy ahi was not that spicy with just a little heat. The garlic ahi poke had a flavorful mix of sweet, salty, and garlic flavors. Nice balance of flavors without overtaking the taste of the fish. The ahi was fresh, not frozen and you pay for that. The price is on the higher side but good quality. I do not recall seeing any seating so it is a grab and go place. Services was fast and friendly.

Yelp
This place is sort of a hole in the wall, but don't let looks deceive you! A local recommended this place to us when we asked where the locals like to eat, and now we know why this place was recommended! The poke was so good, and the service was really nice. As we enjoyed our bowls, locals with regular orders kept walking in and walking out with bowls. If you like little heat, order the spicy poke!
google avatar

Yelp
They sell poke bowls and pan fried fish plates. We just ordered two of their poke bowls. Their poke bowls are $17.95 and you get to choose two different flavors. They also have sushi rice. We settled on one bowl with garlic ahi poke and spicy & limu ahi poke. The second bowl we chose spicy ahi and spicy & limu ahi poke. Both bowls contained sushi rice. Their fish was fresh. It was smooth and firm. Out of the three flavors that we tried, the spicy & limu was my favorite. They had condiments on the side that you can put on yourself. I used the furikaki and garlic chips. The bowl was a good size and filled me up.

Yelp
Forever delicious! If I could afford to eat here every day I would because when that fresh Garlic Ahi poke hits with the crunchy garlic, it's a feeling like no other. Still my favorite, hands down. I do also enjoy their spicy tuna, shoyu, and limu poke. Don't forget to look in their fridge for some pickled items (ex. cucumber or onions) and other items for sale. I have yet to try their plates because once I see the poke, that's it. The workers are all really nice. I'm assuming but not sure if he's the owner but he's always super generous offering to try new stuff. We always opt to eat inside in case we need to grab anything else on the way out.

Yelp
I have never been to a poke shop where the price was put into the register before the fish was weighed... No proof of how much was weighed....No stickers nothing on the containers.... I bought half a pound and a quarter pound.....

Yelp
DON'T BE SCAMMED by Poke by the pound like I did!!!! I called to ask why I was charged $37/lb instead of $34/lb and they hung up on me. Very shady people. Overall 1 star: I feel ripped off!!! They charged me $37/lb when I can order online for $34/lb. I can't deal with shady people like this! This used to be my favorite place to buy poke. But I'll probably never go there again. There was no clear sign by the poke saying how much it was per pound. I didn't ask but assumed that it would not cost $37 per pound. I bought less than a 1/2 pound and it cost me $17.76!!!! I'm all for supporting local but I can't afford to support this place anymore. Maybe if there was a clear sign stating the price per pound I would not have been so shocked when purchasing. There are TV's on the back wall that is not in front of the poke display but they are not visible from where the poke is located at the front of shop. Food 3 stars: I got the garlic poke which was really good but still didn't taste that good after I felt I got ripped off. Service 1 star: I didn't get a welcome feeling when talking to the workers this time like I had in the past. Too bad since this was my favorite poke place.

Yelp
Poke by the pound was recommended by a local friend as an alternative since kbaybros was closed on Mondays. There is limited parking along Nimitz but luckily found a temp spot while we grabbed food. We arrived a little after 1 and looked like the lunch crowd pretty much cleaned house. The guy behind the counter looked like he hated life and seemed a bit reluctant to take our order. We ended up ordering a poke bowl since I didn't want to commit to ordering a ton of poke as it was our first try. The poke itself was good but damn there wasn't much of it in the bowl (see pic). At $18 a bowl, it was a bit steep but it did satisfy our craving. Not sure if we'd come back as there are a ton of poke shops who actually welcome patrons.

Yelp
My first time to stopped by here I ordered Ahi limu poke , its so fresh , clean and yummy ! Highly recommended !!

Yelp
We come here when we want a treat and something different! It's so good and worth every penny.

Yelp
Excellent fresh poke using ahi tuna. No wasabi. The owner was very friendly and offered cups of excellent white rice to go with the poke

Yelp
The service was great but 40 bucks for a pound of two different fish. I expected it to taste amazing, the fish you can tell is not fresh. It seems like it's been frozen for a while in the freezer so when it's actually served up and made it's mushy slimy and gross. I would understand barely if the price was reasonable for the quality but not close at all definitely don't recommend part of the fish looks like mystery meat
google avatar

Yelp
1 for the fresh ahi 1 for offering the mister a sample of their garlic ahi poke perhaps it was close to closing when we dropped by after work, around 6:05pm. it was our first time trying this place, if you are curious. anyway, the two females working at the counter seemed like they were over it.. unfriendly, and unhelpful. at least our three questions were answered. the "pleasant" female offered a sample to the mister, nice of her. on a side note, they only have ahi poke, no salmon poke... i asked haha. ahi was fresh, just a bit pricey to me. after that experience, i'll stick to my usual places when i have a craving for ahi poke.

Yelp
Oh boy! Chef Addison and his team are making magic happen at a little spot not to far away from the airport. The poke was fresh, flavorful and treated with respect. Seasoning was on point. I could eat the garlic and spicy tuna poke everyday. You can tell they are proud of their kitchen. They serve with aloha. If you are looking for great poke... this is it.
google avatar

Yelp
The only good thing is, I found convenient parking. Sadly, when I checked, the fish for the poke was not fresh and very expensive.

Yelp
Hands down!! The best kimchee tako on the island. We would go out of our way just to pick up some kimchee tako when we have our cravings Not as spicy as it may look, so we ask for Xtra spicy ;)

Darwin O.

Yelp
Saw their big sign driving down Nimitz and had to check this place out. Had a pound of the spicy ahi. Couldn't believe how much they charge ( it was $37/lb) but figured if it's this expensive, it's gotta be good, right? Mildly spicy and felt like the ahi texture was not as fresh as it could be. Cannot recommend at this price point.

Yelp
Just OK is not OK. This was the feeling at Poke By The Pound from when I parked till I finished the last bit of rice. Poke By The Pound is located at the corner of Nimitz Hwy and Kalihi St. Look for the giant sign. There's a small strip of road right beside with parking spaces, but unless there are no cars waiting at the light, you can't enter it coming from Nimitz. You need to be heading South on Kalihi St to enter. I had to loop around just to get in. Heading inside, everything was quite spaced out, and didn't seem like much was going on. I was trying to look for the price for a poke bowl and a menu, but didn't see it at all. I just went ahead and ordered. Based on what I saw in the cold case, there's only five different selections for ahi, and one tako. $31.95 per pound for ahi and $19.95 for Tako. That seems pretty dang high from the prices I've been seeing recently. I got the spicy ahi and garlic poke. It was $14.99 for the bowl plus tax. You get quite a hefty size bowl, but it's A LOT of rice. Definitely the most rice I've received for a poke bowl. As for the Ahi, you don't get much. I know it's not by THAT much, but compared to other poke bowls, it didn't appear to be the appropriate portion. Also, compared to other photos from here. It's definitely less! The most hyped here was the Garlic Poke. For me, besides being garlicky, it was overall bland. The ahi was firm. Not melt in your mouth as other places. It was a bit on the drier side. This applied to the Spicy Ahi as well. It had a nice spice kick, but it just didn't have enough flavor. Overall, it was surprisingly not very satisfying. The vast amount of rice plus the under seasoned ahi equates to just an OK Poke Bowl. It wasn't bad. It just wasn't good enough compared to other places. Service was OK. The cashier seemed to lose patience after 15 seconds of waiting while I paid for the exact change. Hi, I can't immediately pull out 70-cents from my pocket. Really that easily annoyed waiting while I pick out two quarters and two dimes? I'll pass on this place. There aren't that many selections, parking is inconvenient, and I've tried what I wanted to.

Yelp
If we in the area this is our poke stop...poke is mixed fresh and in small Batches they also have plate lunches we tried the fresh salmon and ahi, not frozen. Service is great they explain if you not sure what you ordering but if you from hawaii you should know your poke favs. Not a sit down restaurant but they have a counter with seats and a drink cooler. So you can enjoy your fresh off the grill plate lunch or poke bowl.

Yelp
We stopped by on the way from Waikiki back to Ko Olina after my daughter just finished her 11 mile long run, and we were both in the mood for sushi. An unusual location, next to an exotic video shop, tattoo parlor and vape shop, but it had great reviews, so decided to give it a try, and so glad we did. Amazing poke; super fresh, flavorful, and the rice was really good, too. We got the shoyu ahi and spicy ahi, which were both fantastic. The octopus poke and garlic ahi both looked great, too. Took them home and served them up with some edamame, diced cucumber and avocado, which were perfect complements. Totally recommend!

Yelp
Nice selections of poke. I really enjoyed the seared tuna belly and their snacks. All kinds of drinks to choose from. Will be back.

Yelp
Poke By The Pound in Honolulu offers incredibly fresh poke with generous portions and a great variety of flavors. The quality of the fish is excellent, and the seasoning is always on point. Never had a bad meal here!

Yelp
Decided to try this place after driving by it for years. I always do foodland farms and we spend about $75 every weekend on our poke. Upon driving up we accidentally parked in the Japanese curry place by accident, they were very nice and let us park there even though it was for customers only. So we went into Poke by the pound where we waited with 3 other customers... and waited... and waited. We waited for almost 10 minutes WITHOUT EVER EVEN SEEING A WORKER!! There might've been someone in the back kitchen, but I'm not sure. We left. So did some of the other customers. This was some of the inattentive service I've seen, maybe ever. No hellos, no I'll be right with you... nothing. And honestly, the poke looked pretty good, but at $37 a pound, they need to have WAY better service. I'll stick to where I normally go for Poke. However, the Curry place next door was delicious.

Yelp
I gotta Update my list of best poke places!!! Poke by the pound is the real deal guys. Nothing crazy, nothing fancy, but it's everything you'll want. And special recognition to their rice. Every local knows that the rice makes a huge difference. Can't wait to get another bowl of spicy ahi soon!

Tashameek M.

Yelp
Poke was great Customer service was amazing Definitely coming back Forever first time customer
google avatar

Ana R.

Yelp
Poke By the Pound is the only place I'll ever recommend for top tier poke. They have a couple options available, and they kill it every single time. You can't beat the freshness of the ahi, and the simplicity of ingredients. Definitely a no frills, nothing fancy type place, which I love because the focus is clearly on their product. The service is great, if you come during lunch, it'll be a little busy, but they're quick and definitely worth the wait.
google avatar

Yelp
Been wanting to try this place for a while - finally did a drive by to try their poke bowl and poke by the pound. The price per pound is a tad higher than some other places, but worth it IMHO. The fish is fresh, and their seasonings are on point! The hubby ordered the two-choice poke bowl for $15 - looked like a fair amount of poke and it looked really fresh. He said it's one of the better poke bowls he's had. I ordered a 1/4 lb of the garlic poke - amazeballs! I highly recommend this one if you like garlic. Great place for high quality poke.
google avatar

Patty O.

Yelp
Garlic ahi. Spicy ahi. Yes, yes, and yes. Best poke I've ever had in my life. I wish I could ship this to California as a never ending supply. Even the cooked food was delicious. I tried the tuna belly and they made it fresh and it was juicy and tender.
google avatar

Jason M.

Yelp
I may have found a new favorite poke place in Waikiki. Recommended by my wingman, we pulled in after a trans-pacific flight and the service was prompt and efficient. They had my favorite poke expression freshly prepared, Limu Kukui Nut tuna and it was exceptional. Decidedly fresh, the crunch of the seaweed with the cool of the tuna and the perfect amount of salt from a drizzle of soy sauce paired with a - kiss - of chili oil and fresh white onion slices. Is it cheap? Nope, going for about $30 a pound. Is it worth it? Without hesitation!
google avatar

Kaela S.

Yelp
We stopped here for lunch for some poke bowls (about $15/each): two types of poke on top of white rice. Service was very speedy and the workers were very kind and patient with our party. Although the restaurant was small, it offered a place to sit while we ate up our lunch. They played music, but it was a very small shop, so it was very easy to hear other people in the restaurant. The poke was INCREDIBLE! The texture of the fish was so yummy and buttery and the flavor of the shoyu and limu poke was fantastic. Of all the poke I've had, I'd say that the quality of their fish is the best.

Yelp
We pretty much all have passed here just off of Nimitz in Kalihi with the giant sign on the side of their building. Other than the obvious I basically avoided here more so of parking, I have easier time finding parking in Downtown than this corner of the hood, all you see is "Reserved" so there really isn't any clear indication of where you're actually allowed to park. Today I was seriously craving poke and having the day off my window of opportunity was there for places that I'm unable to get to due to similar hours with work and being it's Sunday many surrounding businesses were closed I took the chance to park and dashed in. So excited to see the various choices (Spicy Tuna, Limu Kukui Nut, Tako, Hawaiian Salt) there was also three Chef's Specials (California Style, Limu Special and Da Creeper) gosh Da Creeper was it for me "Extra Hot" it says woohoo!! Not only do they sell yummy bites and hot plate lunches but sauces too, as I was grabbing a bottle water to tame the heat I was about to experience I noticed a green bottle and it was fresh ginger sauce...OOO!! You know I had to try that. Finished a bunch of errands and headed straight to a full circle moment...the beach lol! There's nothing better than to be outside with the cool breeze and vita-sea. Poke had just a touch of heat but nowhere near what I was expecting which was disappointing...it was okay probably won't get it again @ $24.95/lb fish was excellent sauce, no. Visit them online to order or at least view what's available which is nice, www.pokebythepound.com but follow them on Instagram @pokebythepoundhi for more details of the haps and SPESHO hahaha!! Fresh is absolutely best and here that's exactly what you get! Thank you!!

Jessica G.

Yelp
I went two separate times to this location within 5 days when I was in Oahu. It was so fresh each time and it's hard to find quality like this. There aren't any sides to go with this but you'll be happy with the quality of the fish and it won't need anything else.

Yelp
What a great way to start our vacation with our first meal from Poke by the Pound! So close to the airport and we had that poke craving and decided to give it a try. Am so glad we did! Got the shoyu poke, tako and their grilled ahi belly plate! OMG - everything was SO good. The poke so fresh and flavorful - just melt in your mouth! And the grilled ahi belly is a hidden gem! So much flavor - tender and they tuck a bit of juice under the rice. The salad was refreshing and perfect complement. Wish we had time to pick some up on the way home but it was too early in the morning but definitely our place to stop when we come visit!! Great way to start our island food vacation! :)
google avatar

Yelp
One of my top 3 poke places on island! And definitely my favorite on this side! Easy ordering online and easy pickup! Located on Kalihi with a few easy parking spots out front. Make sure you park in front and not in the small lot directly behind. I swear I ordered the best combo: spicy ahi & their special garlic ahi. They were both incredible. When I got there, I noticed that they also had a special of the day poke which was extra spicy. It was my favorite of all three. Ocean salad was also bomb. Will definitely be back!
google avatar

Rani R.

Yelp
The poke here is really good. I've had almost everything that they've made so far. The only one I didn't try has been the spicy tuna. That's because I'd rather have the taste of the fish vs. the other ingredients. If I had to choose one it would be limu kukui nut. The one thing is that parking may be a challenge but, it's worth it if you can find a spot
google avatar

Charmain A.

Yelp
It's was very good you could expect me to come back. Plus the staff was friendly and very courteous when I walked into the place for the 1st time

Yelp
Overall it's a decent poke spot, probably 3.5 stars is accurate. Definitely not my favorite poke place. Quality ahi tasted fresh and didn't have a lot of sinews which I appreciated. The but... For a poke place, there wasn't a lot of variety. On a Saturday morning they only had 6 flavors. We tried 5 of them and were really only "wowed" by one. So may the odds be ever in your favor! The taco poke wasn't great quality. Some pieces were rubbery and others were mushy. The flavors were ok, kind of overly spicy. I'd skip this next time TBH. The California special was $20/lb and it definitely had a kick! I don't think it was really "California-esque" since there was only 1 piece of avocado and a few tiny shreds of imitation crab. Not a ton of mayo which I appreciated. The shoyu onion was both my and hub's favorite. It had a hint of ginger which perked up my tastebuds after all the spice from 2 of the other flavors. My only "beef" with the ahi was that it had a giant chunk of onion and at $20 a pound, that seemed a bit like bad quality control in the kitchen. The Hawaiian salt flavor was too subtle for us and the least favorite kind of ahi. It was literally just a hint of salt, sesame oil and some onion. Pass next time unless you're a purist. Finally, the limu ahi was the second favorite. Fresh, crunchy seaweed complimented the rest of the classic poke flavors. I'd get this and the shoyu one again and pass on the rest. Pro- tip- grab some beer and inari at the 7-11 across the street. Oh and salt and vinegar Hawaiian style chips and you have a delicious spread. The inari and poke go great together. Trust! Service was ok. The line moved fast. They had social distance signs marked on the floor. Parking lot was a bit cramped on the right side but had plenty of spaces.

Yelp
Located in an industrial area with not a lot of parking, Poke By The Pound is worth a visit if you have a car. It's a simple no frills shop with a few different marinated poke options. You can get poke by the pound ($33 a pound roughly) or get a poke bowl ($17). We got poke bowls, which were served on warm rice with two choices of poke. I got the garlic ahi and the limu kukui nut ahi. The fish was fresh and tender. This was one of my favorite poke bowls of our trip, the location makes it difficult unless you have a rental car or want to Uber.

Yelp
Great frsh fish and the poke flavors dont over power the fish which i really enjoy. Miso salmon was fresh and cooked well. The salad was also great. Minus 1 star because the rice was dry and grainy. Rice is such a key component when eating fish I recommend calling first because we went at 2 pm (they close at 5) and they had almost nothing left. Kept asking the cashier if there was anything in the back that could be prepared and we didnt mind waiting but he said whatever is out is what they had.

Yelp
I can't believe I've only tried this place now! I love a good poke bowl and it's always great when I find a new place to try. They have limited parking on the side of their building but everyone is in and out to get their bowls so you don't have wait too long for parking. The Inside is on the smaller size but it's really clean and spacious. The staff is really quick to help you get your order. I got the bowl with spicy ahi and their popular garlic ahi. Let me tell you they looooad their ahi. I love when their not skimpy with the ahi. And their garlic ahi??? Game changer I would probably say it's better than their spicy and their spicy ahi is good! All of this and it's was only around $14-15. I know that sounds a the pricey side but it's worth it for how much you get and come on it's ahi. It's expensive everywhere but quality and the quantity is there. I will definitely be coming here again even if it means I have to drive a little further from home.

Yelp
Poke by the pound is MAYJAH! I get da spicy ahi poke bowl so ono! Sometimes I get da ahi belly plate, even mo' ono! I only like 3 poke spots on da whole island. This is one of 'em. YESSAH!

Yelp
This place is slowly going down hill. It was great when prices were reasonable. But just like every other business that fails and closes, this may be one of them. If you look at places like Tamura's that is thriving, their prices are around $24-26.99/pound for fresh poke. This places still charges COVID prices at $32.99/pound. Their poke bowls are now $17.95 each. I hate to say it but this place is slowly dying and shouldn't be around any more.

Yelp
Poke is good. Price is average going rates and fish is fresh! Pick up and go! Employee was very nice and helpful.

Yelp
An hour after arriving to Hawaii we were hungry. We picked up the fam in Kalihi and came straight to Poke By The Pound. Yes and yes I would recommend coming here. They were so nice as to offer us samples before we ordered. We ordered as if we have never eaten poke before and it did not disappoint. I cannot even say which one was my fave because they were all yummy! It exceeded my expectations and it is very good. The place is cute and clean as well. The prices are pretty good as well for quality poke!

Yelp
Had very high hopes for this place I drive next to it all the time when we go to the airport. Prices are a little higher than the fresh poke found at times and Foodland. Hate to say it but I was hyping this place up because of the amazing reviews, but was sadly disappointed by the price point and quality of fish. Also the employee who was there was smoking a Vape pen in the shop in the same place they served the food behind the counter. Very Unprofessional.

Yelp
The fish is so fresh, and delicious, their poke bowl made with sushi rice is definitely a nice touch. Will definitely be back to try more! YUMMMMMM

Yelp
Best poke in town, hands down! Don't bother with the other places. The poke is fresh, no tsuji (stringy bits), on a bed of cool sushi rice, and great flavors that compliment the ahi. This place just does a few cooked plate lunches and poke. That's it. They have clear focus and have hit their mark. I've been eating poke my entire life. I always loved eating homemade stuff and trying different places. I'm also a huge fan of sashimi. Trust me when I say there's no place better in town. I tried the shoyu onion and limu kukui nut and both were stellar. The poke sat on cool sushi rice. This is key for transport. Don't put poke on hot rice and warm up the poke! Agh. I can't stand when places do that!!! The poke bowl came out to about $14. Pretty good deal considering how much poke was in it. The parking lot is fronting Nimitz, you know...the one right by Exotic video. Haha No Act! I know you know where that is... We all do... it's in a ghetto area next to a porno shop, but that's where diced poke heaven is found.

Yelp
The name says it all. . . . Poke By the Pound. Oh and what delightful pounds of glorious poke we bought here. I really like the different unique fish they use. Marlin poke . . who knew? But it was very light and soft textured. Delightful to eat. The ahi they use is not stringy with the white fibrous flesh used in cheaper poke. They use the best cuts. We also grabbed a plate lunch while there - the Ahi with lemon capers hit the spot. Can't wait to go back here for my next poke craving!
