Google
Big portion and good price. There is a bank to the left of it where you can quickly park and pickup the food. On Sat it's BOGO, buy one get one free, I really enjoy it.

mari S.

Google
The food tasted really good but I got severe food poisoning the next day. This was the only thing I ate all day, so it could not have been anything else. I am really disappointed because it was a great bowl but it was not worth the pain.

Andrea A.

Google
Decently priced poke, generous servings. Great on a student budget. Quite heavy on the rice, so if you're not starving, you could get two meals out of one order. Fish and other toppings are fresh. They have a cute selection of Asian drinks (Calpico, Ito-en, etc). It's a tiny place with only a few seats so definitely better for takeout (which is why my photo is outside, they don't have outdoor seating!)

Google
Overall, this is a decent spot. The person working was very nice and answered my questions. There is a great selection and not terrible prices. However, this isn’t the best poke I’ve had so I can’t give it 5 stars. This is mainly due to the rice amount. I felt that the ratio of rice to toppings and protein was imbalanced.

Google
Okay poke bowl, fast and friendly service, moderate prices. Overall, it is an okay value for your money. I really wanted to like it more because two friends recommended it enthusiastically. I had the Poke City special and was a bit disappointed with the sushi rice base. Many people overlook the base, but it is literally the basis for a great poke bowl. Perhaps it was late in the day (8PM), but the rice was too dry. Quantity is okay for the price, taking into account you get three proteins in the special poke, but I could have eaten a bit more. Nothing was particularly good or bad, as I said, it's okay.

Google
I've ordered from here twice now and both have been great experiences. How I ordered: GrubHub (Delivery) What I ordered: Snack bowl with tuna, cucumber, avocado, crispy onions, scallions, sushi rice, sriracha aioli Food: The fish was fresh, the portion was generous (I couldn't finish it), ingredients were prepared well (sushi rice can be a hit or miss at most places, but it was great here). I'll keep ordering from here for my poke bowl needs! 🤣

Google
Poke was straight trash. Just ordered this off Uber eats No flavor and like a burnt taste. I love poke and always get it from love art poke and it is amazing this place the salmon had the skin on it still and very plain. Asked for sauce got none. Not worth the money

Google
Was a bit skeptical at first, but man oh man it was yummy!! And the price was amazing! The bento box size was perfect for me for a meal! My daughter got the bowl and had more than 2 meals out if it! The tuna was so fresh and tasty, all the veggies were fresh and the sauces they offer- yum. We will stop by when in Cambridge again for sure!!!

Yelp
Decided to change it up and try out the beef onion bowl instead of the poke I typically get. So glad I did! The thinly cut beef is a great textural balance of tender and chewiness. Taste wise it was sweet and savory with the added onions which I couldn't get enough of. The seafood salad with the imitation crab is a bit of a strange add on that not everyone is going to like but I didn't mind it. Decent portion size was also a plus.

Natalie A.

Yelp
This place has some of the best poke in Boston. Solid portion sizes and tastes great. Genuinely taken aback by the negative reviews, especially the one claiming that the place is dirty. I walk by here often and it's always super clean. I can't speak to the claims of poor attitudes from the workers, but I've personally not had any issues, but then again I am in/out pretty fast. Overall would reccomend!!!!!!!

Chris Z.

Yelp
Customer service was horrible. The Asian girl who served me looked annoyed the whole time and did not answer any of my questions. Gave me TWO shrimps as one of my protein choices. Looked like she was miserable working there as if she was a daughter of the family business who was forced to be there. No pride whatsoever. Like at that point, just quit and do something with your life, if you could even manage that. Don't take your unhappiness out on customers and other ppl. Update: Also found a hair in my food...

Yelp
Taste good, clean and very convenient. The service could be better. I ordered the signature poke bowl, and it's perfect!

Yelp
this place is disgusting - dirty floors and sticky table, customer service is rude and entirely unprofessional. will not be returning and do not recommend

Yelp
Was debating between a few poke spots in the Cambridge/Somerville area, and definitely glad we picked Poke City! Average came to a 4.5, so rounding up the rating to 5 stars here. My partner and I built our own poke bowls: a bowl w two proteins (spicy salmon and spicy tuna) and poke city sauce, and a bowl w three proteins (spicy salmon, spicy tuna, and shoyu salmon) and sesame ginger sauce - TASTE: 5/5 - fantastic, both of our expectations were exceeded. We both typically load up our bowls w almost all of the mix-ins and toppings, and they came out super saucy and flavorful. Favorites included the seaweed salad, mango, and cilantro. Also, first time we've seen a boiled egg option! TEXTURE: 4/5 - the fish was perfect, and all of the crunchy toppings, like garlic crunch and onion crisps, added dimension PRICE: 5/5 - the prices are super reasonable! It's not often bowls start at $13.50 SERVING SIZE: 5/5 - the employees were super generous, we were both stuffed and satisfied after devouring our bowls SERVICE: 4/5 - it was quiet and empty on a Wednesday night, so we got our dinner really quickly PARKING: 4/5 - we found a metered spot down the block

Yelp
I love poke and I love their options. One of my go-to place for takeaway. Can be gluten free (zucchini noodles anyone?) and building my own bowl helps me control my diet :) Yes, highly recommended!

Yelp
Ordered Poke City for takeout for the first time last night and I'm super excited that I did! I have a feeling this will become one of my go to spots in the Cambridge/Somerville area. I ordered the Poke City Special bowl because I looooved that it includes Salmon, Ahi tuna AND Shrimp. They have a bunch of speciality bowls and offer a build-your-own version, which is always nice. The quality of the fish and veggies was great, and the portion was huge, I ended up throwing a lot of the sushi rice away in the end because I just couldn't finish it. It was a pretty standard Poke bowl overall, but it does have a yummy pineapple salsa that makes it a little more exiting than your basic bowl. I also got some Sriracha aioli and a Miso soup on the side. I probably wouldn't order the soup again, the flavor was a bit off to me but that probably just comes down to personal preference. I ordered through grub hub and received a free Red Bean Daifuku for spending over $20 which is a nice touch! Will definitely order from here again :)

Yelp
It's a small cute shop. Lots of options! Poke needs options! This is the first place that I have seen that offered eel. What a win! Fish was great and tasty. Sauces were awesome! I recommend the spicy citrus sauce. Really awesome. Honestly the flavors came together so nicely that I crushed it. Coming back for sure.

Yelp
My one star rating does not reflect the food - which I never got - but the attitude of the workers and management. I mistakenly made an online order from Poke City in Boston. When I arrived to pick up in Cambridge, naturally they had no order for me. I figured out the problem and asked them if they could help. There was no other customer in the place, not at all busy. The counter person told me she had to talk to the manager and disappeared into the back. She came back and told me to try calling the Boston store. No answer on several tries. So I asked them to call the other store for me. She disappeared into the back again. After a few more minutes she came back and said there was nothing she could do. I asked to talk with the manager. She went back again and eventually came back to tell me there was no manager there. I asked who she was talking to in the back. Eventually another worker came to the front and pretty rudely told me that the other store had nothing to do with them, with a separate bank and payment system. (They have the same name and menu.) By then I had spent quite a bit of time there so I asked the first worker if she had been lying to me about there being a manager. She just mumbled something. The second worker continued to stonewall. I explained I was picking up for a customer who was a regular, but who would never come back if there wasn't a better solution. They didn't seem to think this was important enough to think about. In the end, my friend got through to the worker in the Boston store, who was very nice and responsive and happily refunded for the order. She said she hadn't answered because she was the only one working in the Boston store and she was swamped with orders. I wonder what the lying worker in the Cambridge store was doing when she pretended to help me by going to the back. In any case, I would give a provisional recommendation to the Boston Poke City, based on the excellent customer service of their beleaguered employee, but to the Cambridge store: f--- you.

Yelp
Convenient Poke place in Cambridge MA. You are able to customize your own poke ball. There's quite a few similar restaurants around the cambridge area. Overall it is pretty tasty at a reasonable price under $14. Fish was fresh, staffs were nice. Solid place just nothing that really stand out

Yelp
This was a solid place to get poke with vegan friendly options. I ordered a build your own bowl here. My two proteins were the tofu and the tofu skins. The tofu was very mushy and soggy, but the tofu skins were amazing with a chewy texture and sweet flavor. The avocado was also mushy and overripe, so sometimes it felt like I was eating fishy guacamole, which made the meal less appetizing. The mango complemented the bowl well, but there was uneven cuts and chunks. I loved the texture and savory flavor of the crispy onions, and the wasabi shoyu sauce was so delicious. I wished I ordered more of it! When I was picking up my order, the cashier didn't say a word to me at all. They definitely could be a lot more friendly and welcoming. Overall, while I had a mixed experience, I'll be coming back for a delicious vegan poke bowl with wasabi shoyu sauce and probably no avocado!

Yelp
Decent poke for a decent price, considering it's raw fish. As per usual for poke, Poke City offers customization with a large selection of unlimited toppings and a few choices of protein. I always customize because their pre-made combinations are not as tasty. Comes with a TON of the "base" (rice) and not as much of everything else -- disproportionate in my opinion. The portion looks large because of the heap of rice on the bottom, but there's not actually that much protein or toppings in there. Ordered online for takeout and it was prepared very quickly. Packaged well and great for a lighter lunch or dinner.

Yelp
I can only speak to delivery of Poke City- but Poke City is definitely a favorite within the Boston area. Food arrives fresh and flavorful! At around $16 for a 3 protein bowl (via Grub Hub), it is a bit pricey, and the portions could be larger for sure. But, overall it is good enough! A few items of note that I enjoy in the 3 protein bowl: - Ahi Tuna Shoyu is lightly sauced and delicious! - the marinated shiitake mushrooms are so good - love the addition of mango - large amounts of edamame and corn provided - seaweed salad is super flavorful - the ability to have zucchini noodles in place of rice is a plus! They are still firm and not soggy (which seems to always happen elsewhere!) - largish cuts of fish where at other places, they are much smaller/mushier Definitely a great poke bowl when in the Boston area, and would highly recommend them for delivery

Yelp
Pretty mediocre poke place. Base prices are slightly lower than the competition (e.g pokeworks) but it's not a huge difference when you account for the add on prices and I would say the quality is noticeably worse. That's a tough sell when they are basically identical in terms of options and preparation and everything. They have some indoor seating but it really wasn't the ambiance for a dinner either. That said, it is still a fast poke option and as a poke lover I appreciate having it close to me. Wouldn't pick it over the pokeworks in Harvard square if I were equidistant though!
google avatar

Adina S.

Yelp
I enjoyed my poke bowl - I especially liked how I was able to add a bunch of toppings without paying extra. The raw salmon was delicious and the chunks of fish were pretty big. I ordered my bowl with a medium amount of sauce but it tasted a little more like light. The bowl did have a lot of rice in it which isn't my preference.

Yelp
Got poke for lunch, i walked there and they had paper menus where I circled what I wanted and then gave them the paper at the door. It was super quick and everything was a good sized portion. I liked it a lot! Super yummy.

Yelp
In the past, we've always gone to Pokeworks, but we decided to try Poke City because they have the option to have your bowl made with Zoodles! How awesome :) It really helps when you're trying to watch your calorie intake. The one thing with zoodles is that it doesn't soak up the juices like rice does, so it can get kind of watery at the bottom, but I usually just drain it and then add the sauce myself after. I really enjoy their poke and their topping options, especially the quality of their spicy tuna, but one thing I will say is that the protein servings are quite small. Even if you order your bowl with 3 proteins, the portions don't quite seem to measure up to that of Pokeworks. I still enjoy it though and it will definitely continue to be one of our go-to's.

Yelp
Fantastic food, but a bit pricey. I always order from here via the Allset app. They always get my order perfectly and is always made in time. I only wish it wasn't so pricey. For 2 proteins it's almost $13. I love the unlimited toppings. I'm a big fan of the seaweed salad, crab salad, and masago. The lotus chips are amazing too! I like the ponzu sauce but usually ask it on the side. Great service, perfect for a casual and quick meal.
google avatar

Katie C.

Yelp
So happy to have a good poke place close by. I like that you can customize your bowl with as many toppings as you'd like (only a few cost extra, like avocado and crab). And I love the zucchini noodles! The prices are in line with others in the area. The service is friendly. There's a rewards card, which I'm well on my way to filling up. And the interior feels clean and bright.

Yelp
AMAZING! I have never had poke before. I went here because they had vegan options for my friend and I am so glad I did! I got a bowl with brown rice, salmon, grilled chicken, avocado, mango and teriyaki sauce! It was out of this world. I will definitely be going back this week to have it again! If you are eating healthy, or like healthy food, or you just want something delicious for lunch try this place!!! Do not pass this place, go here!!! You don't regret it!! **the salmon is raw but it is super cold, fresh and delicious!

Yelp
Always a solid experience. Great portions. The new owners have made some good changes that should provide better variety. We come in from Metrowest

Yelp
What a great new addition to the Porter Square area! I'm back again at a poke / sushi bowl fast casual place, and Poke City is a solid choice. Protein portions seem a bit bigger than all the other places, but I'm sad that tuna and salmon are the only raw fish available. It seems like every place I've tried is the same except for Pokeworks, which offers scallops. I don't eat salmon, so I got two very healthy scoops of tuna. The staff working there were kind and patient too, explaining to customers how things worked. I love that the pineapple and mango toppings are fresh!!! Other places only offer canned or frozen versions so this is very very nice. One thing I would like improved is that the sauce choices are not as fantastic as I hoped- I wish there was a quick description of what goes in each. I had to ask and I felt bad having the staff explain it and then telling her I wanted some other sauce... I got the wasabi shoyu mixed with sriracha aioli. The shoyu sauce was a little too sweet for my liking, so I wish there was some kind of sesame based vinaigrette - something with a deeper flavor than just plain soy or ponzu. Not sure if this place offers it but brief descriptions would be helpful! My bowl was great but I felt like something was lacking flavor wise. Maybe next time I'll choose another sauce combination to my liking! Check in to get 10% off! They also have stamp cards!
google avatar

Raymond H.

Yelp
I did a create-my-own bowl and while the flavor was great, the rice:meat/topping ratio was off compared to other Poke places in the area (such as Pokeworks in Harvard Square). A lot of rice and not enough fish or toppings

Tyler O.

Yelp
Solid poke place. Great selection of ingredients, friendly staff, and convenient location. Fish looks fresh and healthy portion size.

Yelp
Poke City's bowls are generous and fresh; I was really impressed by what a substantial and varied poke bowl I built with no extra surcharges! (8 toppings, 3 sauces, etc... all with no surcharge!) This always makes me super happy because I like to have a little bit of everything in my bowl. And their available ingredients are well-chosen such that you can't really go wrong with whatever you put in it. I had a build-your-own 2 protein bowl, with salmon, eel, brown rice, shiitake mushroom, mango, edamame, seaweed salad, tobiko, cabbage and pretty much all the toppings. Threw some yuzu ponzu and teriyaki sauce on it and had myself a really light, filling, healthy dinner! I thought the eel especially was really tasty (and an unusual option). The portion is more than enough for me, due to the generous amount of rice. Sure, there's not an overwhelming amount of protein, but I don't need that much; I might have even liked a little less rice to make the ratio of protein:rice better. In all, this is definitely priced better than other poke options nearby (looking @ Pokeworks), tastes very fresh, and has an innovative and range of topping options that you can really pile on.

Yelp
Torched spicy salmon and shrimp omg there sauce wow crab salad is fresh so delicious Yum Yum

Yelp
Poke City was my first Poke experience in Boston and I wasn't disappointed! The things I look for in a good Poke restaurant are freshness and a wide variety of toppings/sides and this place has it all. My friend and I ordered the Poke City Special Bowl with sushi rice which comes with tuna, shrimp, salmon, cumcumber, red onions, scallions, seaweed salad, edamame, pineapple salsa, and special Poke City sauce. They have a TON of toppings that you can add which I was really impressed with including egg and shitake mushroom for free. They gave a generous portion of tuna and salmon and the bowl was huge. The fish was fresh and their pineapple salsa was finger licking good! Also doesn't hurt that all the workers are cute girls. The place isn't big, but there's about 5 small tables to sit at. The environment is very casual and it's a good place to go for all your poke cravings.

Yelp
Hands down one of the best poké bowls I've had-this is coming from a girl who's gone all the way to Yoshino's in San Diego (Yelp Top 100 2015) but also hits up your usual Pokéworks and Love Art Sushi. I started off my DIY bowl with a base of zoodles (such generous portion sizes!) and chose tuna and salmon as my 2 proteins. Add-ins, all for free: seaweed salad, edamame, fresh mango, THE tastiest marinated sliced shiitake, cukes, mango salsa, boiled egg, red cabbage and red onion (felt like I was at Subway, cause I asked for extra shiitake mushrooms). I tried a bit of the sriracha aioli, which surprisingly, wasn't spicy at all, before going with the Poké City house sauce. Lalalaloved my bowl, even though there were so many ingredients. The fresh flavors were distinct and eat forkful had so much texture. I will definitely fill up my loyalty card soon :) Pro-tip: I've found the mayo-based sauces pair better with tuna and salmon than do soy sauce-based dressings like yuzu and ponzu.

Rich P.

Yelp
Gross. Kinda of hard to screw up a poke bowl, but here we are. My poke bowl looked more like a bowl of soup because there was so much liquid. The salmon was cooked. The only thing saving this from 1 star were the shumai. Not sure if it was a poorly packed bag or the delivery driver, but there was liquid dripping from the bottom of the bag and it was clear although the miso soup was wrapped up it had fallen over as well.
google avatar

Eugene W.

Yelp
$11 for 2 proteins, $13 for 3 proteins is normal price for a poke bowl. They have a good selection of proteins - I especially like their shoyu salmon and spicy salmon. They have a good selection of toppings (even bonito flakes!) including all the standard ones. One thing I found weird was that they didn't have tamago. I ordered "egg" expecting tamago, but got a hard-boiled eggs instead. Honestly, a big drawback is their rice sucks. I've tried their brown rice and their sushi rice, and both feel kind of mushy. Also, I got the sriracha aioli and the Poke City sauce, and something tasted really sour in the rice. I'm not sure if it was the Poke City sauce or the vinegar in the sushi rice, but something was way too sour. Overall, there are pros and cons. After being here twice, I'm pretty sure Pokeworks is better. The marinated salmon flavors are good, but not enough to balance out the rest.

Yelp
Poke bowls are spreading. From Hawaii to California and now even to Boston! So Poke City near Harvard's campus seems like a good bet to try out the East Coast's take on what is now a West Coast staple; it's a tiny little restaurant with just a few seats, and you go down the line and pick all of the ingredients/toppings you want, or select from a few pre-conceived menu selections. I came for lunch on a weekday, and while I found their offerings decent, the food here doesn't quite compare to the quality you can get elsewhere (especially out West). As the base for your bowl, you can select from rice, salad, or zucchini noodles (a unique offering here, which is fantastic!). I went for half salad and half zucchini noodles, along with a scoop each of salmon and tuna (some pieces turned out to be quite chewy). I chose to have it dressed with the Poke City sauce, but they drizzled on way too much (rather than just mixing it with the fish), and I found that the sauce was somewhat lacking in flavor (it tasted a lot like the mayo-based dressing you get on salads in Japanese restaurants). I finished the bowl off with the delicious crunchy seaweed salad and the creamy kani (imitation crab) salad, along with cucumber, shitake mushroom, edamame, boiled egg, mango, corn, pineapple, jalapeno, scallions, sesame, fried onions, and furikake. Overall, a nice, light lunch with a great combination of ingredients at a decent value--but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here, as the flavors of their bowls are quite average.

Camila R.

Yelp
Order from here with caution. I built my own bowl over the weekend and ended up with horrible food poisoning and needed to be hospitalized. My guess is the salmon (only protein I ordered) was no good. At least when I went in, it didn't seem like the temperature in the restaurant was properly maintained since they had a just a fan going on a 80°+ day. Not great for a place serving raw fish.
google avatar

Susan M.

Yelp
Street meter parking. Small poke shop with about 4 small tables. Staff was friendly and helpful. I had a custom poke bowl: sushi rice, salmon, tuna, tobiko, scallions, seaweed salad, egg, imitation crab salad, pineapple, mango, dried seaweed, tempura flake, fried onion, spinach, spicy aioli, etc. Unlimited toppings! Not bad for $12. The poke bowl would taste even better if the tuna and salmon were more cold. I liked that there was no extra charges for the egg and seaweed salad which are normally extra charge at other poke shops.

Yelp
Excellent new spot in the wasteland that exists between Porter Square and Harvard Square. A tiny take out counter exists with seating for 10. Focusing on a traditional Polynesian food that has been jazzed up with Hawaiian and Japanese influences, Poke City serves up raw fish mixed with a sauce served on a bed of rice with vegetables. Topping options include sesame seeds, sea weed, pickled vegetables, chili flakes, pineapple salsa, jalapeños. Proteins available are tuna, salmon, tofu, chicken, shrimp, or a mixture of them. The house special mixes chunks of ahi tuna with king crab in a creamy dressing. Other dressings are sesame oil, citrus soy or naked. For the platform, each order can be prepared on white sushi rice, brown rice, lettuce or combined into a wrap. Although slightly pricey in the $12 range, each order includes a generous amount of extremely fresh sushi grade fish, rice and toppings. It is well worth the price of admission for the friendly service, the multitude of combinations easily created and the quality of food to be eaten.

Yelp
I've had better, for sure. The sauces were not complex enough and were bland. None of the sauces sounded appetizing when I asked the nice guy helping me so I ended up mixing the Siraracha with their house sauce, which was still whatever. The portions are pretty good but I had wished the whole thing just tasted better. The raw fish pieces were not amazingly fresh but were fine. I was disappointed though that each topping was places in my bowl and then the sauces were added on top instead of the sauces being mixed with some of the topping and then added to the bowl. I had thought all Poke was like that but maybe I am wrong. I have had Poke in many places around the country and as this place may be great to have in the Boston area -- literally because the lack of decent food -- I find it not worth the $. The place is small so I would not plan on eating there unless alone or with a couple others. There is street parking in front but hard to grab one depending on the time of day.
google avatar

Emily K.

Yelp
I really really want to like this place, but having had poke from many other places (Boston and NYC), this one really just does not hit the mark. For $12, the amount of protein given is abysmal. Another review said that they had a good amount of fish? I definitely didn't! I got salmon and fish, and the tuna didn't seem as fresh as the salmon. The idea of warm rice below raw fish is odd. That's not how it's supposed to be! The sauce selection is also sad. There is no regular sesame shoyu (basic poke seasoning?) The sauce you choose only went on the fish, so the base (rice or noodles or whatever, was completely plain.) There's a huge array of toppings, but the portions are sad. I got 2 leaves of spinach, and less than a teaspoon of tobiko, and more red onions than needed. I probably won't be back. This is sad, because it's so close to me and I love poke.
google avatar

Dorothy N.

Yelp
I was so excited that there was a poke place near my work place! It's pretty good. I like how they have a choice for a snack bowl just in case you're not too hungry enough for a regular size. The only aspect I wish was better was the service though. The friendliness was not there. No smiles...no how are you. I might seem picky but friendly welcoming and happy staff really makes a difference for me. The music was loud and the glass between the food makes it hard to communicate.

Yelp
I have almost accomplished my goal of trying all the poke places around to find the best one. Unfortunately I don't think poke city is the best. It's good here but I think poke works is better. You get a choice of zucchini noodles, salad, or rice to start off your bowl, followed by fish and then toppings. I think the amount of fish they put in is way less than poke works and when asking for toppings, they only throw a little of each on top. Another thing about poke works is that they ask how much sauce you want. The amount given here is just enough to cover the fish itself, leaving the rest of your bowl plain. The flavor is good but I like more options and more fish from poke works. The good thing is that all the toppings (-avocado) are free so you don't have to worry about the cost adding up.

Yelp
Poke City is a rather enjoyable poke experience. The pros: The poke itself was rockin'. I got the spicy tuna with mango and my SO got the spicy pineapple salmon and they were both really delicious. I would absolutely order both again. The fish was super fresh, the seaweed salad was great, and both the mango and pineapple salsa were nice additions. One of the employees cleaned up our area right as we were getting ready to leave which was nice and unexpected. The price was Boston normal. The ten punch card pass is a nice touch! The cons: The ambiance was a little off. Definitely felt like more of a take-out place than a sit-down-and-eat place. The spicy salmon wasn't spicy. The tables and chairs outside weren't stable so water kept splashing all over all the things! Overall, pretty great. Would definitely go again.

Yelp
Grabbed lunch here delivered to my work and decided to try it out. Ordered a Hawaiian Classic with Ahi Shoyu poke bowl and it was just ok. More mushy rice and sort of tasteless tuna than anything and after like 5 bites I got really tired of the taste. It was so much mashed avocado and mango with all sorts of chive and such, it was just too much mush and I decided to toss it. It was obviously fresh but maybe Poke bowls are just not for me, otherwise I guess I could recommend this place a bit more.

Yelp
The food was great. The service could not have been more disinterested and RUDE! The girl was so annoyed that when I was done paying and looked up to thank her for the food, she had already scurried back to the other side of the counter to get on her phone. I was really disappointed, since the food offerings were wonderful and it's right next to a place I take my cat to the vet. Clearly they don't give a cr*p about gaining a new and regular customer. Wow, just wow.

Yelp
Poke City is probably one of the better options for Poke, especially in this area of Cambridge/Somerville. I think it even surpasses PokeWorks. Actually, it does. Pros: Super easy to order, good variety and affordable (starting at $11 for a custom bowl!) Cons: Their aloe vera ain't the real deal! (nitpicking here) Honestly I didn't think it would be as good as it was and for the price point, its probably the best poke bowl deal in the Boston/Cambridge/Somerville area. A lot of other places start at like $13- 15 and then the nick and diming process of toppings and extras start, but at Poke City that really isn't the case. Almost all their toppings are included and they aren't stingy with them either (you can get a half of a boiled egg in your bowl for NO EXTRA COST!!!). The raw fish was pretty clean tasting (no fishy smell/aftertaste) and they will even sear it for you if you ask them! The problem is that its so easy to walk right past (I thought it was an ice cream parlor at first) and it may seem like it's a 2-3 star establishment based on the aesthetics, but the food brings it up to straight 4 - 4.5 rating (I would give them 4.5 stars tbh). If you like Poke, you'll love this place (can't beat a wholesome, flavorful and cost effective meal). If you love Poke, you'll definitely be smitten with Poke City. Highly recommended and worth trying again and again . . . and again . . .

Yelp
The bowl was delicious! It was worth the price in my opinion. This is so far the best poke place I've tried.

Yelp
For reasons I cannot explain, Poke City had a run-down vibe to it. But both the food quality and portions we received surpassed our expectations. Having came from the West coast, I've had plenty of good poke in the past 10 years. What I look for are 1) quality of the fish, 2) quantity of the bowl, 3) amount of toppings available without extra charge 4) sauce options, 5) crunchy edible add-ons. Poke City proved itself to be a decent (but not superb) neighborhood poke joint.

Yelp
Totally down with the new poke craze that's hit Boston recently. I came last Saturday and parking wasn't particularly hard to find, most likely street parking. The seating area isn't huge, the overall location is small. Based on only Boston poke locations, I'd probably rank this right behind Pokeworks at Davis Square. Don't get me wrong, this place is still pretty good! It was particularly quiet on a Saturday afternoon. I just felt like Pokeworks had offered a greater variety of toppings to add, which I felt like it made things alot better. I had compared the Ahi Tuna bowls at both locations, and right behind Pokeworks goes my vote. Portions are good, but it is less than Manoa. Good place, still early, but Pokeworks is still my go-to. They also do have the zucchini noodles, which after never having them before, thought they were pretty good! Their menu is a bit smaller than the others and one size only compared to the others.

Yelp
Decent food at decent prices, what more can you ask? Stopped by with my partner for a quick bite to eat to go and wasn't disappointed. We had their classic Hawaiian bowls and the iced teas. I liked that the tea wasn't overly sweetened (if at all) and all of the ingredients looked super fresh. It was my first experience with a Poke bowl, and I'm excited to try more in the future. Be warned, it's pretty loud and fast paced in there. Luckily my partner was there to help me navigate, but if loud cramped spaces aren't your jam I recommend trying to come during a non-rush time!

Yelp
This is still a nice go-to if I want some poke but I'm not thaaaat impressed with the quality. It's very quick which is nice. The toppings and fish are very nice quality but I've consistently had kind of a blah experience with the base (e.g. rice, zoodles - slimy) except for the salad (which I don't know if that's saying anything because it's not prepped besides washing). It's alright.
