Yelp
During my last trip to Las Vegas, we had some amazing dumplings. Since then, our dumpling craving has been insatiable and have been on a mission to find some bomb a** dumplings in our area ever since. DING DING DING, found some! I discovered Poke Fish via Yelp looking to find a place to satisfy my craving. Also, I have been wanting to find a place that offers Takoyaki. I keep seeing so many people on youtube trying them out and it peaked my interest. SO, this place has the two things I have been looking for and of course a trip had to be made. I did my research on the menu and food and somehow missed that this is a fast casual type place. However, even better in my book. I ordered Takoyaki, Shrimp Shumai and an order of Pork Gyoza.
The shrimp shumai, was good. I wouldn't say the best I have had, but it seems a bit hard to find this at many places. It came with 6 pieces.
The pork dumplings were great! Perfectly boiled and then fried. I don't like my pork gyoza over fried, so these were literally everything I could want, not to mention busting with flavor.
Lastly, the Takoyaki...to preface-, if you aren't into seeing the octopus suckers on tentacles, this is not for you. These little fried balls are AMAZING. They are filled with some type of yummy paste and pieces of octopus. It comes with a dipping sauce, not sure what kind? Every bit of this dish is exceptional and full of flavor. Even the octopus is a little burst of flavor on its own. This is one of my new favorite items and I can't wait to get more.
There is plenty of seating. This place is large on the inside. ( I think it used to be an old Bagger Daves)
I am looking forward to going back. They offer sushi burritos, which look much better than one I have tried before elsewhere in the past, ramen, sushi bowls, hibachi bowls, etc. and you can decide what type of items you want added.
Thank you for showing me the Takoyaki way and what I have been missing all along. *happy cry*
