I ordered a shrimp poke bowl from doordash earlier this afternoon as my late lunch or first meal of the day, wanting to try something new, different and healthy . What I got was highly disappointing and frustrating, not at all what I expected or wanted. I already had a headache so this issue made things even more frustrating. There were NO VEGGIES whatsoever in the bowl, it was basically empty with a little bit of rice & spinach, which I expected to be served on the side as well as the sauces which should have been on the side as well! Can't for the life of me understand why someone would serve this or let it go out incomplete like this. thankfully I was able to get my money back from doordash but not at all appealing or appetizing in the slightest. nothing at all like the picture.

I don't like to leave bad reviews because I was a small business owner as well. I used to love this place. It was so good, but they must have changed owners. The last couple of times I've been it just has not been good. They started charging extra, and they don't have as many items like they used to. I have the salmon which looked iffy when I ordered it. It tasted okay, but did not look like it was as cold as it should be. The employees just sit around on their cell phones. Not even trying to hide it with their backs to the customers. The floor was dirty in the restaurant and in the bathroom. The soap in the bathroom was so watered down. The trash bin was overflowing. Yet the two employees just sat on their cell phones and acted upset when I needed something. Definitely. The last time I will ever go here. Sad, because it used to be so good.

Very disappointed with my recent experience at Poke In in Meyerland. I arrived with over 10 minutes left before their posted closing time, but was told they were already closed and couldn’t make me a drink. When I asked why, I was told it’s their policy to stop serving customers 15 minutes before closing. If that’s the case, the posted hours should reflect it — or at the very least, the policy should be clearly communicated. It’s frustrating to be turned away while the store is still supposed to be open. Poor customer service, and I won’t be coming back unless this is addressed.

I drove by this place for a year because it’s in an annoying strip mall, but boy was it worth it. Fish and produce were very fresh. White rice was too mushy, brown rice was fine. All of the toppings were great. Thai tea had true tea flavor. I will ask for extra sauce over my vegetables next time. Can’t wait for my next bowl!

Google
I hate to give a bad review but I feel like others should be warned so they know exactly what they are walking into. I had lunch at Poke Inn yesterday between 12:30-1:00. I had a bowl with tuna, salmon, imitation crab with spicy mayo. It all tasted OK, I didn’t think the fish was kept as cold as I prefer. Starting at 8:00pm last night the vomiting started, along with a massive headache-more like a migraine. This went on until 3:00am. Chills, sweats, committing, dry heaves…it was the worst. Be warned.

Google
If you love poke, sushi, and boba drinks this is the place for you. My wife and I do lower-carb and their large salad is delicious and extremely filling. Plus their staff is always friendly and patient as we make our selections.

Google
Only received part of my order. I placed an order for two poke bowls and a drink. Only one bowl was included when the food arrived. The receipt showed that I was charged for both bowls, so one was clearly missing from the order. There was no effective way to correct this issue or follow up. The order was sealed, and the second item was simply not there. Mistakes happen, but there needs to be a way to take responsibility when they do. Won’t be ordering again unless there’s a clear process for resolving errors like this.

Google
Food is good but the workers especially the younger girl with percings thats always there is highly unprofessional. Shes very flirty with male custmors, even if they say they have a girl friend and asked a custmor to take pictures of him. Very unprofessional and highly uncomfortable to have your partner pick up food there. Its very gross behavior.

Yelp
Bowl 1 : 9/10 - White rice, salmon, spicy mayo, eel sauce, soy sauce, corn, cucumber, avocado, seaweed salad Bowl 2 : 8/10 - Brown rice + salad, spicy tuna, salmon, spicy mayo, eel sauce, cucumber, crab meat, ginger, seaweed salad, kimchi Bowl 3 : 9/10 - Brown rice + salad, spicy salmon, tuna, house sauce, spicy mayo, cucumber, crab meat, pineapple, sweet corn, onion, chickpeas, avocado Bowl 4 : 9/10 - White rice, salmon, seaweed salad, corn, crab meat, spicy mayo, eel sauce, avocado Classic milk tea - 7.5/10 - Flavor of tea wasnt too strong but still creamy and tasty Brown sugar milk tea w/ boba - 8/10 - A bit milky, but boba was good and sweet If youre a poke lover, definitely try this spot if you're near the area. One of the few good poke spots ive been to in town and they have so many options to choose from. Everything was fresh as well
google avatar

Mark W.

Yelp
The seafood selection here is great and tasted fresh, they also have boba tea here and if you come late in the night, they have be out of there the regular boba balls. The tea are really refreshing and the boba have good mouth feel to the balls. The restaurant is quiet as I see they have more to go orders here. So do not let the empty of the restaurant scare you off, the food here is really fresh and delicious, and they move very fast. If I was in the area and want poke and/or boba drink I would come here again.

Yelp
Poke Inn is located in a little plaza/strip mall(?) which makes for convenient parking. I ordered a medium bowl, which I felt was just enough to make me not hungry but I wasn't overfully filled either. I appreciated having unlimited topping choices, but I wish some of the ingredients weren't extra like the yellowtail or crab mix. I also ordered their classic milk tea which was pretty decent as well. I think it's a nice place to stop by for poke, and service was super nice.
google avatar

Lilli T.

Yelp
I stopped going here because the quality went down. I got food poisoning once about a year ago but didn't think much of it, went again and got sick again. Not coming back. Disappointed :(

Yelp
I used to go here back in high school & it was alright. Came back recently and they had a huge upgrade imo. I notice that the portions are much more than before. They also started to sell milk teas and fruit teas! I've been going here more recently because of their portions and how spacious it is inside.

Alexis S.

Yelp
Poke Inn is a great place for Poke bowls! I've gone too many times to count, and it is always great! It is in a great area, but sometimes finding parking can be hard when the shopping center is very busy. They've recently added drinks, like different types of tea, which I ordered when I went last. I got the fruit tea, and my friend got the milk tea. Both were great, and very fitting with the poke bowls we got. The drinks were also half off. The drinks had a cute capybara drinking bubble tea on the cup! We will definitely be getting drinks with our poke bowls next time. The staff is always nice and helpful, and give good amounts of toppings and meat for each bowl, and the food is always fresh. The inside is usually quiet, which is good for meeting people and having lunch with friends or groups.
google avatar

Karissa J.

Yelp
I was in the mood for poke during my business trip. The sauces and the food were really good. The service was great and she even recommended me a drink. The strawberry milk tea was really good.
google avatar

Kayla K.

Yelp
Always good quality and flavor of the raw fish. I will say that I used to come here a lot and it was always reasonably priced, however unfortunately they have raised the prices and now charge $1 extra on certain toppings. Kinda disappointing but the quality is still there, portions are great.
google avatar

Jamie L.

Yelp
I got poke to go and they are quite generous with the toppings! Staff was friendly and the inside looks clean. The only thing I will say is my poke bowls seemed to lack some of the sauce I asked for. I got 3 sauces per bowl but it seemed like I only got the sweet Mayo in all of them. I say this because the fish didn't have much flavor, no saltiness, and it didn't have a darkish color which poke normally does since there is usually some type of sauce like ponzu. Anyways, I Did make my own sauce and it was tasty! I will come back here but make sure I get enough sauce.
google avatar

Melody C.

Yelp
Fresh Fresh Food! Read the menu carefully and you will pretty much be experimenting with creating your bowl unless someone else has given you suggestions on how to create your bowl. The workers really don't give you a suggestion so it's very little help that they give you when I created my bowl. I pretty much listened to the person who was in front of me and kind of picked the things that I think that I would like in my bowl. A very small setting Resturant and if you get your your bowl to go you will receive a very very nice to go bag for your bowl.

Jane B.

Yelp
Ordered a three scoop, large poke bowl. Not filled to the top as usual. No sauces at all on bowl. The fish lacked flavor and the texture of the fish was mushy.

Jane B.

Yelp
The portions are getting smaller. I didn't receive any salad dressing and a half portion. Y'all need prayer for roping people off like this.
google avatar

Maria M.

Yelp
Always perfect when I order! The food is fresh and delicious. It's usual empty but i believe it's because people just pick up like me.
google avatar

Jasmine N.

Yelp
I'm a huge fan of poke. This was my first time eating here and my last. The salmon wasn't cold at all. The rice was clumpy. The ponzu sauce and toppings were the only good thing about the poke bowl. I would also say that the scoop of salmon/seafood is rarely small for the price.
google avatar

Lisa R.

Yelp
The closest poke place to my parents' house, I heard about it because my dad liked coming here. I was driving by a bit late for lunch and was not planning to stop, but I felt compelled to go somewhere that my dad had recently been. I ordered a small (which is one scoop of seafood). I was happy to see yellowtail which many places to not have, but it does cost $1 more regardless of bowl size. I got white rice, yellowtail, ponzu, cucumber, edamame, seaweed salad, green onion, jalapeno, nori, furikake, and fried onion. One scoop is quite small but the staff person gave me a better portion than I anticipated. Everything was fresh and tasty, and it was plenty for lunch in the small size. Wifi is free and the password is posted on wall next to each table. Overall, it was a quick and easy lunch option, not too expensive, and close to home. Masago and avocado are also $1 extra.
google avatar

Mary M.

Yelp
The options are quite limited compared to many other Poke restaurants, and the price is more expensive as well. However, the restaurant is clean. This was my second time coming, and only came as it was the closest poke spot around me. The first time I came in the afternoon and barely received any "protein"... Got a regular (2 scoops protein) and only got half a scoop. This second time the employee gave me lots of salmon, but because I asked her to please load me up since it was the end of the day anyways. The meal was decent, and the wasabi was weak. :( Lol. More poke options are needed for a great bowl of poke! I'd drive a little further to get a better bo

Yelp
Like most pre-manufactured food places...I feel this one is sorely lacking. ESPECIALLY when Pokeology (please feel free to peruse my review of them) is so close...and so good...hold on. Going to get Poke. From Pokeology. OK I'M BACK!!! Everything just seemed packaged and premade. I had WAY more rice than other items. Everything was Plain Jane and there was nothing creative, insightful, or exciting. It was just an bowl of rice with raw fish, wasabi mayo, and other standard stuff thrown on top.
google avatar

Anisa R.

Yelp
I've been coming here for awhile but this will unfortunately have to be the last time. I ordered a large bowl. They put the tiniest amount of seafood for each scoop, but the real kicker was that when I asked for cucumbers he put a whopping total of three pieces. I asked if I could please have a little more cucumber and he proceeded to add exactly two more slices to the bowl. Sad. They were not busy at all. Also, the staff was NOT wearing gloves to prepare the food. Huge red flag.
google avatar

John B.

Yelp
This is and will be my only yelp post ever. When I tell you that I have been to 50+ poke places, with prices going up to as much as $40 a bowl, there is no doubt in my mind that Poke Inn is the best one I have had the pleasure of having. I was 15 when I first had this poke and I am 21 and still a loyal customer. The first thing I do when I comeback home is going straight to Poke Inn. It's for real that good. Not only is the food great but the staff from the day 1 have been the kindest and receptive people I have met. I am always greeted and my order is always remembered. If this place was ever to close down I would riot.
google avatar

Joann T.

Yelp
Stopped by here after studying one afternoon, and the place was pretty empty but clean. Ordered a large (3 meats), and the meat was a little less than standard portions, but not unreasonably less. However, the toppings were given in very tiny quantities. Even when I asked for more, there was barely any more added. Attached is the picture of their large - in Houston I would say this is more appropriate for a medium bowl.
google avatar

Martha P.

Yelp
Poke Inn is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is always fresh and you can get as many toppings on your bowl as you could possibly want. It's fast and delicious.
google avatar

Rose M.

Yelp
Small portion but great price. No specialty bowls--you have to choose each and every ingredient you want included in your bowl which can be hard if you're not familiar with all of the flavors. I did feel like options were basic--no tamago no garlic yuzu no lime etc. I chose a medium bowl with salmon, tuna, ponzu & spicy Mayo, edemame, green onion, cilantro, mango, cucumber, seaweed salad, masago, dried onions. The flavor combo was delicious but the bowl was kind of small. One person could definitely eat 2 mediums with an "average" appetite.
google avatar

Willy N.

Yelp
I've been going on a tour of all the popular Poke spots in Houston recently. Sadly, Poke Inn is just not up to par with the current standard of Poke in the city. The vibe of the restaurant is very lackluster compared to other spots like Pokeworks. As for the food, the salmon and tuna didn't feel very fresh nor flavorful. In addition, there was not much diversity in the options of ingredients. They even charge $1 for masago while other Poke places provide it free of charge. Even the sauces were lacking in overall flavor. I workout at the 24 Hour Fitness near here, and I've been looking for a nice healthy spot for post-workout meals. However, the food quality at Poke Inn is probably not enough to justify additional visits in the future.
google avatar

Crystal John K.

Yelp
Excellent poke restaurant around the corner from the house. It's never busy so in and out in about 2 minutes. Fresh tuna, salmon and yellowtail.
google avatar

Dexter G.

Yelp
I really like this restaurant a lot! They have really good quality ingredients (fish is super tasty), and I really appreciate how they've set up the store for COVID. Since it's poke, it's up to you how you make it right? So the quality of the ingredients should be the main focus of a review. The rice is sticky and hearty, the fish tastes fresh, and the sauce has a lot of good flavor. TBH I'm kinda disappointed that the size difference between medium and large is negligible. I didn't feel like I had more rice or more fish with a large rather than a medium. I could get more kinds of fish but that's about it. The portions seemed pretty similar to me. They've walked off the entire counter area so that nothing gets into the food from the outside, and they place the food on a separate table that we grab ourselves. I definitely appreciate that they're taking care of us as customers. All in all it's a really solid restaurant and I'll definitely be going back again!
google avatar

Britney G.

Yelp
Anyone remember that pre-made sushi chain that tried to make it, Express Rolls? I think they may still be trying to make it, who knows. Is this their poke spin off? It sure feels like it with it's very commercialized interior and setup. It just gives you a cheapy-kind of vibe when you walk in. The ingredients are very plain-Jane and just not exciting at all. We had a decent meal, but for poke, they really have their competition set out for them, especially in Houston. And you just can't pull me away from my favorite, Pokeology. Oh well, I tried. Follow me on my way to Foodietown! http://britneygfoodie.yelp.com
google avatar

Brittany N.

Yelp
Another Poke place to add to the craze. its located in the shopping center across from Bed Bath and Beyond, on the same side as Los Tios. It does have the vibe as a FroYo place but I can say it is sleek and clean. Very nice staff, comparable prices to the other places but I will say that do "skimp" on the topping & meat versus my other go to places. My poke was fresh, tasty and they offered a good variety of toppings but I just wish they gave you more than just a dash or a splash of each. At least you get literally a half of a avocado for $1.....better than some places.

Nav R.

Yelp
This place is so ridiculously stingy with their portions. Food is average at best. Do not recommend.
google avatar

Debbie S.

Yelp
I needed a healthy, fast lunch and stopped here and I am so glad I did. Everything was fresh and clean, and I will be coming back!
google avatar

Karen 2.

Yelp
would not recommend getting the poke bowl from here. doesn't sit well. 0 stars. food safety needs to be at a higher standard.
google avatar

Michael D.

Yelp
Everyone nailed it with the portion controlling concerns there. You're paying a premium so the expectation is to get two full scoops. The server was actively counting the pieces, which can be irritating when the bowl already costs $10 base. Taste and quality was of your typical poke stop. Nothing fancy/unique in the sauce or topping offerings. I'm definitely going to drive the extra 2 miles for a better experience. If you're going to half scoop me, you better be blowing me away in the taste profile.
google avatar

Nicole B.

Yelp
This is the Subway, the Chipotle, or the Salata of Poke Bowls. They offer a unique dish at a solid price. I don't know about you, but I am always down to go to a place that has great reviews and offers seafood under $10. Call me cheap :) I stumbled upon this place because I was craving Express Rolls, and it turned out it was Poke Inns third day in business. I talked with the owner and she said this new franchise has four Cali locations and they decided to open up shop in Houston for their fifth location - how cool! I thought that while they have several typical options to add in your bowl, they could definitely expand their options. Overall, I'll be back - great food at a great price!

Bill W.

Yelp
Do not tip! Employees do not receive any of their tips. The employers are keeping all cash and credit card tips in violation of department of labor regulations which state, "An employer cannot keep employees' tips under any circumstances...".
google avatar

Briana G.

Yelp
I love Poke Inn! The quality of ingredients is always so fresh, and their serving size is large and priced well for a poke bowl. The have a variety of meats and sauces to select from, and a wide range of toppings, crab meat is a topping and doesn't count as a meat which is awesome. The place smells clean and not fishy like some other poke locations. The owner is so friendly too! Get a loyalty card to earn stamps towards a free bowl.
google avatar

Bria C.

Yelp
the closest poke to where i live, it's so quick and convenient yet healthy and filling. i stop in before work at least once a week. my go to order is brown rice, salmon, ponzu & spicy mayo sauce, mango, crab, cucumber, ginger (optional) and seaweed salad. you must get seaweed salad.

Nick C.

Yelp
I love poke and they did not disappoint. Paid about $15 for the large bowl which was a great amount for me. The house spicy sauce was incredible and highly recommend. It was sad to see the restaurant so empty but maybe it was the time of day.
google avatar

Mariyen J.

Yelp
I wanted to give this spot a try since it was conveniently close to our place. however, it didn't meet any expectation. Food: 1/5 Food wasn't fresh at all, and they're very skimpy with the portion. the topping selections were also limited. Compared to the other poke places in Houston, this place was just not up there.. I would rather drive the extra 5miles than to go to this. it wasn't worth the $10 with a small portion.. Service: I can't really rate this part. Ambiance: 3/5 i came in during Friday lunch, and surprisingly it was empty. though it was clean.

Yelp
A mouth watering bowl of greatness!!! I came here yesterday and returned again today for another bowl!!! That should definitely speak volumes. The Fish and Toppings are served fresh!!! I am also a big fan of the Chin Chin Fruit Tea!!! if you haven't tried it, you need to....it's amazing!!! I love how simple and easy the process is to order. It really made it experience quick and easygoing !!! If you're in the area I'd say to stop by and check this place out. Don't under estimate the portions of toppings they give... a little really does go a long way!!! Once you pile up all the toppings... it makes your bowl taste amazing!!! Don't be shy to try something new and delicious!!!
google avatar

Anna M.

Yelp
This restaurant has a pretty limited selection in proteins and veggies in comparison to other poke places I've visited. Their veggies are chopped kind of chunky and not as thin or fine. I got mine to go and had to go home and chop the shrimp, cucumbers, and onions into smaller pieces so I wasn't getting huge portions of one veggies or protein in a bite. I prefer my poke bowls to offer a little bit of everything in each bite and that wasn't really an option with this restaurant.
google avatar

Mari W.

Yelp
I love this place! I've been going for years. Everything is fresh and delicious. Prices are totally fair. Staff is so friendly. Covid protocols are on point and the place is always squeaky clean. I think I'll go tomorrow!

Yelp
YUMMMMM!!!! a SUPER nice employee helped me, a young lady, prolly early 30's w/a bright smile & patient, helpful demeanor! ‼AND THE FOOD...O...M...G!!! it was a DEEEEEElicious Poke bowl!!! everything SO FRESH!!! i got: a regular size bowl, which comes w/2 scoops of seafood (for me, salmon), + brown rice, Ponzu sauce, cucumber, red onion, green onion, avocado, edamame, seaweed salad, masago, wasabi, & ginger! i ate every DELECTABLE morsel, & WISHED i'd gotten the Large size (w/-3- scoops salmon!) b/c maybe i woulda had some left over for lunch or breakfast the following day! but prolly not...i likely woulda eaten any leftovers ALL UP as a midnite snack, & it never woulda seen the light of day again! it was THAT DELIGHTFUL!!! & that was 2 weeks ago, but writing this is making me hungry for it so i'm gonna run by there in just a bit! & THIS TIME, for the LARGE!! i'll TRYYYY to save some for tmrw...but will prolly fail & finish it all by the time i go to bed!

Yelp
Poke Inn is an excellent little restaurant in the Meyerland strip center. We've passed by many times to meet family and finally stopped in to try a bowl today. The place is extremely clean and well kept. You can tell the owners value their environment and want to serve you quality food. The portion sizes are great. I'm a big guy and a medium bowl was very filling. My wife is smaller and the small bowl was more than enough for her. The seafood is fresh and kept in a nice state on display. Again this speaks to the owners care in cleanliness. Some other reviews claim a limited menu. But it has a great set of combinations to fill you up. We were attended to immediately upon entering. Our table was clean and we got free WiFi. We'll be back! For every nine poke bowls you buy, the tenth is free. And we love poke and have a new place to go to with Poke Inn!
google avatar

Yan C.

Yelp
This probably one of fastest and cleanest poke spots in H town ! Very friendly place lots of space, very nice !!! Fresh foods and very delicious and outgoing place. For everyone. Good to go poke inn.

Alex B.

Yelp
Definitely a top pick in my book the customer service is top notch and the quality of the ingredients did not disappoint. Overall fantastic experience would recommend everyone try the eel sauce it goes fantastic with the salmon and brown rice base.
google avatar

Tristin B.

Yelp
Super fresh and I love that it's all customizable! You can't go wrong with the salmon, add extra crab and all the good toppings. The spicy tuna is a good addition too!
google avatar

Natalie G.

Yelp
The bowl was satisfying, but if I was really hungry, I would've left hungry. I got the medium and it seemed like they counted out my pieces of salmon. Their toppings were similar- I got three whole pieces of pineapple. They even seemed to skimp on the brown rice, and that's the cheapest part of the bowl. The taste was good, so I'll give them that. The only thing they do well is give you a lot of avocado (for the extra $1), so please Poke Inn, don't take that away from us, too. If they would stop skimping on their portions, they could have a great thing going here.
google avatar

Anj G.

Yelp
Good spot for a quick bowl of poke, but there are definitely better spots in town. I like that it's quick, under $10 for a small bowl, and has a good variety of add-ins. What is lacking is the potion size of fish (less than a handful of pieces) and really the flavor profile was just ok. I would come back since it's in the neighborhood, but definitely not something you travel out of the way for.
google avatar

Amanda Z.

Yelp
I love this place, the food quality is consistent and the staff is always friendly and the service is fast. Be forewarned it is basic poké ingredients so don't come here if you're looking for super specific foodie options. I'm glad to have a healthy option for a quick lunch in Meyerland.

Yelp
I had the shrimp & ahi tuna bowl half rice half mixed salad and it was delicious and fresh. I will definitely be back. My 11 year old daughter came and also loved it.
