Google
I had the #4 and my wife had one of the Poke bowls. My Spicey Kimchi Ramen was absolutely delicious. Incredibly good. Neither my wife or I had a poke bowl before and good gods! It was amazing! If we're ever in the area again we will 100% be back. We had to eat in the food court area but that was okay, I was transported the entire time. Even when I finished my wife's Poke bowl when she couldn't eat anymore.

Google
I had the best Poke here ever! For the price, they gave you so much everything! From the toppings to the fish. It was also so very delicious. The service was fast as well and the options were plentiful. I loved the Poke here! Wished I lived near it, haha. My sisters bowl was a little smaller but she thought it was delicious too! Great taste and very filling!

Google
Man, their bowls are delicious and nutritious. If you love sushi, you definitely will their bowls which are filling with large portions of every last sushi fixing one could desire. I also had a kale pineapple mango green smoothie and it gave me life.

Alex Weller

Google
Similar fast casual model as other poke places popping up. Cucumbers are cut too large and avocado not ripe. Many premium items that would be extra elsewhere like avo, seaweed and seafood salad were included which was nice. All the ambiance of a mall food court overrun with teen tours.

Noreen M

Google
For what it is, which is a healthier option in a mall food court they do well. Right price point imo. Fresh options, good portions, nice ratio of toppings. I always go with their signature and am never disappointed.

Tori W

Google
My favorite restaurant in Pentagon City mall Food Court. The food is always super fresh. If you're not familiar with poke, it's just like the chirashi bowl at most Japanese sushi restaurants, except not as pricey. My favorite drink on the menu is the Spinach Slam-- if you're not that into spinach, don't worry, it tastes more like a pineapple smoothie than the spinach, but its super light & goes really well with the poke bowl, which are pretty sizeable.

Google
Poke in the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City is a welcome addition to the wide array of offerings. This isn't the best poke around, that goes to "Poke Papa" but it is definitely still tasty and fresh. It is a cut above most Poke places, but just not quite on the superb level of the aforementioned. If you're in the mall and you want to ball, grab a bite.

Lena

Google
Poke is average/mediocre but service is really poor. Individual working there was much more engaged watching his phone than with customers.

OhMy O.

Yelp
This lady sneezed on the food by the front ordering window and then continued to serve customers. I also watched her charge black customers first before making their food but made all the other customers' first before charging them!!!! WTF!

Whitney L.

Yelp
Amazing and convenient poke spot for people in the Arlington area. I ordered a large customized bowl (squid salad, tuna and salmon). The squid salad and tuna were just ok but salmon was really good. I also ordered their boba (Thai tea). It tasted better without the pearls in my opinion (boba was way too chewy). The order was placed through Uber eats and came in about 15 minutes right after ordering.

Ailun H.

Yelp
I love the Ballston location of Poke It Up, but this one, not as much. I stopped by for a quick lunch this past Sunday and fortunately, there wasn't that long of a line here despite the really busy and packed cafeteria. The person getting my order was pretty distracted because they gave me the wrong base in the beginning and some wrong toppings. Other than that, the poke bowl was pretty good. The salmon was fresh and the toppings (seaweed salad, imitation crab, masago, avocado, nori, scallions, and edamame) were pretty good. I added some of the house special soy to my bowl but found it to be too salty/overwhelming. Overall, 3.5/5 but will bump it to a 4/5.

Jalina D.

Yelp
We wanted to try this place in Pentagon City Mall and finally had a chance to try. We enjoyed our poke bowls!

Sam K.

Yelp
Food was nice, great for a food court location. Ordering was a touch too much in the number of options available but overall simple to order . It was a bit challenging to find somewhere to eat because of the food court location but did find seating.

John P.

Yelp
Service was very good, we sat outside on a beautiful evening. Waitress took our order and repeated it back correctly. Three orders of poke bowl, which should be the house speciality. Kitchen seems to have prepared what they were in the mood to send out. One diner requested little rice, all three got little rice. One request for no sesame seeds, all got no sesame seeds. My order for the salmon poke bowl got me the most tasteless salmon. I've ever eaten. My friends had the three fish poke bowl and found the tuna and scallops were excellent but agreed the salmon was below my expectations. The poke bowls contained ingredients not shown on the menu so the was no way to ask the raw yellow onions! be omitted, forcing one diner to pick them out. And who puts salad lettuce in poke bowls or seaweed salad! Overall, very disappointing.

Danny D.

Yelp
Customer service! The person who assisted me did not say a word, no hi, no smirk, no FU, nothing! Not even, "That will be more than you want to pay for my silence". He didn't acknowledge my presence, only to make my bowl. The poke was fine.....

Matthew S.

Yelp
The place had quick service and the food was delicious. I tried the Volcano bowl and it was delicious. Perfect for those that like a little spice in their life. It was in a mall, so the food court was spacious. Would go again for a healthy and flavorful quick meal

Vahid B.

Yelp
Clean establishment, friendly staff, the smell of the fish frying is nice! I recommend a try

Jarrod R.

Yelp
This was one of the lunch options at the beginning of our DC adventure, and it was just the shot in the arm I needed to make it the rest of the day. While I had not really ventured into the poke side of the street, I would say that I will happily add this to my rotation from now on. I ordered a "DIY" poke bowl with crab meat, a seaweed salad and some delicious extras and topped everything off with a spinach slam of some sort to give myself a little boost.

Justine T.

Yelp
Delicious poke spot located in the food court of Pentagon City Mall. Ingredients were fresh and the salmon was soft and silky. Service was quick and friendly. The only gripe I had was that some of my salmon pieces were stuck together and not sliced thoroughly. Otherwise, my poke bowl was excellent and super tasty; I really liked the wasabi aioli. Definitely check this place out!

Vee L.

Yelp
Follow my lead: Dodge all them goofy kids at the mall, grab your poke bowl, and get the heck out of there to enjoy. Don't let the mall setting fool you; this place is good and consistent with its quality. I usually order ahead for pickup. Every time I've eaten here the poke bowl is delicious. Nice selection of fish and toppings and quality. They also give you a big portion of whatever you add. The staff here are always extremely nice.

David V.

Yelp
I came here to try poke. I'm a poke-connoisseur, and have tried poke from everywhere-- LA, Japan, Hawaii.. I know what good poke is. Came here to get a Large build-your own bowl. For the price ($15), I expected more, but this definitely got the job done! Tips for business owner--- *give more sauce... and MIX the fish with the sauce, not just put it on top. *roast the corn *provide more variety of special sauces. Add sesame oil as a sauce... again most importantly, MIX the fish and the sauces together before putting it on the rice. Here's my order: -Brown Rice - Salmon, Tuna, YellowTail ---- next time no yellowtail for me, and add extra salmon -seaweed salad -crab salad -cucumbers -masago -all the tempura toppings + Furakake, -I get a mix of both Eel Sauce + Spicy Mayo (extra spicy mayo), and some soy sauce DEEELICIOUS!!!! I just wished they could roast their corn a bit-- it was very lackluster to me.... and the yellowtail wasnt my favorite. The salmon was very fresh and it melted in my mouth. Next time, I'd get all salmon!!!! Overall, I would come here again if I'm ever craving poke. Their prices gone insanely high though!

Jeremy B.

Yelp
Poke tasted good but now I'm fighting food poisoning from last nights meal. No food since the bowl. Be careful when you go here!

Henry W.

Yelp
Service was terrible and my order was 30 minutes late. It's in a mall so don't expect much. But I did expect my food to be ready much faster.

Rachel L.

Yelp
Always ordered take out from here when I lived in Arlington. Many choices and lots of room for customization for your bowl! Fish tasted fresh and never had issues! So good and filling! I would get Salmon & Tuna and then customize all the veggies and toppings!

Jimmy C.

Yelp
It's good... they have all the toppings and they have a brown rice option as some poke places don't. Taste is great the topping could be a lil bit fresher but place had great taste. The staff isn't rude but didn't stand out or wasn't really personable lol you know that surface level interaction with customers. But my food was great. I did have a green smoothie another time before ordering food but I had to tell the guy to ease up on the sugar as he was pumping more sweetener and had mad ice than actual ingredients.

Ann L.

Yelp
As an avid poke bowl eater and lover this place really hits the spot. You get a lot of food for the price and have ample options for toppings. I highly recommend this place and hope people eat here often. It's located in the mall on the first floor. If you weren't looking for it you probably would skip past the place but trust me and try this place out.

Paul R.

Yelp
This was a very popular place with my family during our week vacation in DC. I ended up at the mall food court a few times and luckily this is a great unique and healthy option. Not only did I enjoy my poke bowl, my son and daughter saw mine and then wanted their own the next time we ate in the food court. I as well as my son and daughter all ended up getting the ginger bowl. They add tuna, cooked tofu strips, edema, your choice of rice, shrimp and sauce and of course pickled ginger. It tasted great. I had never had a poke bowl but this really was a great choice after walking all over DC as I was very hungry. Lots of variety and easy to customize your bowl. Many great choices and a relatively reasonable $13.00.

Evan G.

Yelp
Poké It Up at Fashion Centre at Pentagon City in Arlington is a great place to go for all things quality and fresh bowls. The staff here is very friendly and accommodating to make sure that you have everything that you need.

Mayu Z.

Yelp
Nice variety of fish for poke bowl and many toppings including seaweed salad, avacado, edamame and mango for no additional charge. As a base you can choose sushi rice, brown rice, salad or half and half. I recommend the sushi rice and salad!

Annalisa M.

Yelp
Delicious! Poke it up serves build-your-own bowls with classic ingredients like spicy crab, seaweed salad, avocado (not even an extra charge), tamago, and plenty of fish (shrimp, tuna). I made a bowl with crab meat and spicy crab salad, seaweed salad, tamago, avocado, edamame, sesame seeds, and white sushi rice. We also ordered the virgin mojito soda which honestly slapped so hard. You definitely have to try it and/or a Hawaiian sun. Delivery was fast too, so you best believe you'll see me ordering again.

Yelp
There's not a whole lot of options in the food court inside the Fashion Center at Pentagon City that's not a mall chain cliché. But among the Panda Expresses and the McDonald's is Poke It Up, offering shoppers something different that's not a burger, pizza, or bourbon chicken. Poke It Up operates like most other raw-fish-in-a-bowl joints with a Chipotle-like ordering system and a selection of pre-configured dishes as well as the ability to build your own dish. The fish is fresh and the spicy aioli has a good kick to it, overall this is a place that will meet your Poke needs during a Pentagon City shopping trip. It's simply A-OK for me however given it is inside the extremely busy mall, where it's hard to find a table and at the end of the day it's not a place where I would tell you that it's a destination. It's simply an oasis among the dreary options that makes up your typical mall food court.

Maria-Elena T.

Yelp
Was in the mall and early for an appointment. Although not very hungry, I could't pass up poke. I love it! I got the two protein option with salmon and ahi tuna. Both were very fresh. I do prefer the ahi Tuna at Poke papa- it has more seasoning. Overall the ingredients were very fresh. My avocado had a brown spot but otherwise everything was great. The seaweed salad was especially flavorful. The portion is not as big as other places. LOVED the fact that I could get Pass-O-Guava juice!! I will return...

Emily G.

Yelp
I got the signature poke bowl delivered for lunch the other day. And it truly hit the spot for some delicious poke. Got a base of brown rice and salad (salad = cucumbers and lettuce). They give generous helping of fresh ingredients, and the seafood tasted very fresh as well (the signature comes with tuna and salmon). Great quality and I was more than satisfied with my meal. You're able to customize the bowls pretty flexibly, if you have any preferences. Will def be ordering from here again soon!

Andrew A.

Yelp
Huge fan of poke in general so maybe my review is a bit bias. But I really like this place. Besides all the protein options (tuna, ahí tuna, white tuna, spicy tuna, salmon, shrimp, and more), the tips are amazing. They have crab meat and avocado as free toppings!! The line is never super long and it's relatively inexpensive (for poke). I'd say check this place out if you're looking for a fresh, delicious, and healthy meal!

Dani P.

Yelp
Yay more poke options! Question mark: in the mall food court? As a friend said "I dunno about food court raw fish..." My husband and I decided to give it a shot. I had tuna and hubby got spicy tuna. He wasn't expecting the spicy tuna to be minced but rather chunks like the other options. It wasn't crazy spicy either. The bowls do taste excellent. I had seaweed salad, tempura flakes, sesame ginger sauce, and mango on mine. They're decent price given the location. I actually wish I'd been given more rice, but that's probably just me. The mango was diced really tiny. That made picking up with chopsticks a little difficult. Even if it wasn't the best poke in the area, it's still good and a breath of fresh air from fried greasy options in your typical mall.

Eli A.

Yelp
We were really excited to get poke delivered to our hotel. We love poke! My wife's poke was pretty good. I'm giving poke it up 2 stars because my Volcano bowl smelled very off. And the spicy tuna tasted cooked. Everything was really warm as if it had been sitting. The red onion was pungent. I couldn't eat it. From reading other reviews I'm sure this was a fluke, but it should be noted.

Rohit J.

Yelp
Surprisingly decent for a mall food court place. Was a bit hesitant to try poke here given the location, but was fairly good and competitively priced. Tend to give a bit more rice so I'd vote for the rice/salad mix if you order the bowl, but seems common in a lot of poke bowl shops

Gwen B.

Yelp
I'm all about the new Poke trend and since it's lent, I had to give the new spot at Pentagon City mall a try. My rating is really more 3.5 stars than 3 but Poke It Up wasn't quite 4 stars. The service was just OK and the fish looked fairly fresh but not quite as fresh as Poke Papa and Pokeworks (my two favorite Poke joints in the area). For starters, I felt as though the bowl was smaller than the other Poke bowls that I've had, especially Poke Papa's which was HUGE. I went with the brown rice and salad as a base. I got the large because I wanted to try three fish options (ahi tuna, spicy tuna, and yellowtail). I got a variety of toppings but he looked a little annoyed whereas generally the staff is happy to add as many as I want. The bowl was still good yet the portion didn't feel worth $14.25 which is what I paid. The bowl wasn't even all the way full which you can tell from the picture. The ahi tuna at Pokeworks put these tiny scoops to shame and my bowl is always bursting from the seams. While I was certainly full after Poke It Up, the bowl just didn't impress or stand out for me. I'll come back if I'm desperate for a Poke Bowl but with there being so many options out there, I'll stick with my favorites or try some new spots.

Tara L.

Yelp
Mall poke can still hold it down, y'all. As I was strolling through the sometimes, uninspiring eatery in Pentagon City, I saw a newcomer. Although my expectations were initially low, as I scanned some other options, I decided to check my Yelp app to see if they were listed yet, and what people were saying. Thank goodness I did, because as soon as I realized people were saying great things, I quickly made my way to the counter. (You can't be iffy with raw fish!) The ingredients were all so fresh, and the portion size, plentiful. I hadn't really eaten all day, and what seemed like a never-ending bowl pretty much kept me full all day long. So yes, this is mall poke. But that just means it's poke, in a mall. Good poke in a mall. So whether you planned on shopping or not, stop by the mall eatery to check them out!

Unique C.

Yelp
Pentagon City Mall is progressive enough to have a Poke spot in their food court. I walked up to the counter and was greeted promptly. The menu is pretty self explanatory with prices listed. I got the two fish bowl. The salmon and spicy tuna, were both delicious and pretty fresh tasting for "mall food". My only complaint is, there was so little brown rice in the bowl for the price--maybe 1/3 cup. The other ingredients were fresh and tasty! I will say, if you've never had Poke, don't let this be the first time you try it. This area has a lot of great poke places with a much fresher selection of fish!

Rona R.

Yelp
I love this place. The food is amazing and the portion size is generous. Everything is fresh and oh so tasty. It saddened me to stop going there... I'm giving them 3 stars because upon reviewing my bank statement, I noticed a MANUALLY ENTERED CHARGE FOR A $13 PURCHASE when I hadn't gone there in over 3 months. I have never returned due to this clerical error and as much as I want too, I'm not going too out of fear of credit card fraud. Be aware when paying with a card and always be sure to check your bank statement regularly.

Eva L.

Yelp
This is my new favourite lunch option! They are available on UberEats and Grubhub, and the delivery is always on / ahead of time. I am picky and always request sauce on the side - and they get the order right every time. The boba tea with cheese foam is surprisingly good. I don't usually order boba tea from a restaurant - I tend to only order from speciality boba tea place - but this didn't disappoint and I will definitely try different flavours. Price is decent for the quality and portion. They have regular and large size for the signature bowl. The photo shown is regular sized - you will note that the portion is generous and more than enough for a meal! BOTTOM LINE (aka will I order again?) 100% yes

Jennifer J.

Yelp
Amazing Poke! Ordered via Uber Eats and I was so impressed. They are generous with the fish/seafood portions and other toppings. Lots of flavor and I've been craving poke ever since. Beforehand, I've had "ok" poke, but this place right here changed my mind. Will definitely be ordering from them again! Yum!

Keyin L.

Yelp
A great spot when you're craving poke. They have pre made bowls that are good options and you can also make your bowl. Highly recommend as a quick lunch or takeout dinner spot!

Anna U.

Yelp
My fav place to get poke in the area. Always fresh and staff is always kind. I love the spicy salmon it's so delicious!

J M.

Yelp
This is a good, healthy option for mall food. It definitely hit the spot. I liked customizing my bowl, and everything was fresh and tasty. The portions seemed good for the price and you can add lots of toppings. The person working there gave helpful suggestions on what would work well together, so I'd recommend asking if you're unsure about which toppings and sauces to get. I'd definitely eat here the next time I'm shopping and hungry.

Francesca L.

Yelp
Despite the place had no lines today, I still had to wait for 20 min before the staff behind the counter cared to come and take the orders. The guy was busy making ramen and ignored the people waiting to order. Finally another guy showed up and I told him about the long wait. He didn't apologies and just asked what I wanted. Very bad service and attitude overall. Finally, as I was eating my poke bowl, there were white hairs in my cold. This will be the last time I am going there.

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Very fresh! Option of brown or white rice rice. Good variety of toppings- what more can you ask? It is located in the mall food court- so parking and accessibility are tricky at times.

Sherie R.

Yelp
We love the owners and wanted to see them do well....the tall new hateful lady who doesn't know how to handle customers was complained about to owners as the season guy knows I buy 2 diet Pepsi every day and order threw Uber 3 times -5 times a week all those poke bowl orders of mine and virtually apartment complex can't stand her crude odd behavior and will give biz Yo our wonderful Asia bistro totally from now on. Hard enough living here already with community talking - don't need cruel people who have no customer service or no how to handle repeats . She is ridiculously rude and obnoxious and with very little common sense believe me I owed a dime not only did I pay it but told her karma is a b....ch....it's coming back on her every-time she's horrible to people... I want to deal with season guy or I won't deal at all.

Aimee G.

Yelp
Ordered for the first time on uber eats, so this is a review on the food I received. I was not particularly happy with the way they ingredients were just plopped on the bowl without mixing them in the sauce. The sauce was merely added on top. Additionally, there was very little sauce added at all. I did have to round up some ponzu and spicy mayo to add on my own, which helped a lot. While the ingredients seemed fresh, this meal did not live up to my poke expectations. The ingredients need to be marinated, even if it's upon ordering. (I have/try poke regularly from a variety of locations)

Zooza M.

Yelp
In a food court full of two- to three-star restaurants, Poké It Up stands out. Fresh and flavorful, it seeks to disrupt standard food court fare. The sushi burrito was delicious. I ordered it with spicy tuna and ahi tuna, as well as seaweed salad, corn, drizzled with a wasabi aioli. I don't know if "burrito" is a great title. It's somewhere between a hand roll and a wrap. The fish was tender and high quality. Service was pretty snappy, but I was surprised that the "burrito" was cut in half. Out of fast-food restaurants and mega-chains, Poké It Up brings high quality fish and high quality service. If I come back to the Pentagon City Mall, I will dine here again.

Jill Y.

Yelp
I can't claim that I'm a poke connoisseur, but this spot satisfies the poke cravings. They're also quite generous with their portions, so it's a great bang for the buck and the food is good.

Lissa B.

Yelp
I am torn. This is my go-to place for poke delivery and usually I am so very happy. In fact, I often buy two bowls and save one for lunch or dinner. If I had to rate Poke It Up Arlington based on tonight's order, though, I'd give it a 2.75 at best. The rice is undercooked and over-vinegared and the Thai Iced Tea is so watered down, it's basically sweet orange water with boba at the bottom. I'm not giving up on them....everyone gets at least one free pass. Still sad though. Picking through the toppings while I wait for my rice-maker to ding.

Rebecca M.

Yelp
I ordered Poke it Up through my uber eats app while staying in Arlington. I was very impressed! When the food arrived, it was SUPER FRESH. I mean, the rice was still warm - crazy. I would recommend this place to anyone. Especially someone traveling that doesn't necessarily feel like heading out.

Singi D.

Yelp
First time trying this place. The guy making the bowl was so stingy, wouldn't put very much. I had to keep on asking him again. Taste is basic. Ingredients were not high quality. Salad was romaine. There's definitely better tasting food in this food court even fast food style. Also for what it is, $12 for 2 scoops of protein after tax is pretty expensive. Do not recommend.

Shelbie C.

Yelp
I've been very impressed with this little mall fast casual place. It's a great meal for a great price. My youngest and I split the Volcano bowl with half rice and half salad and subbed more tuna for the salmon. My other companions had Hawaii and regular volcano bowls. Everyone left full and pleased. Picture is the Hawaii bowl (partially ravished)

Karen K.

Yelp
I had read about Poke It Up's opening in the Fashion Center at Pentagon City. I was at the mall today and so decided to get some to bring home with me. The food exceeded my expectations (which typically are not too high for a Mall food court). I got a large bowl ($12.95) which comes with choice of rice, choice of 3 scoops of fish (the small bowl comes with 2 scoops), any of the vegetables they have that you want, choice of sauce, and more. I got mine with brown rice, spicy tuna, salmon, ahi tuna, masago, edamame, avocado, cucumbers, seaweed salad, sesame seeds and spicy aioli. Everything was really fresh and really good! I definitely recommend Poke It Up and will be going back myself.
