San Antonio Barbecue Restaurant 2M Opens New Restaurant Blu Lacy | Eater Austin

"A fast-casual Hawaiian spot opened its fourth location at 2601 East Cesar Chavez Street as part of a shared space with JuiceLand in the Holly neighborhood on Nov. 1. The usual menu centers on poke bowls with tuna or salmon, rice, and vegetables; customers can use a takeout window or order online with Uber Eats delivery. The brand’s first location debuted on South Congress in 2016." - Nadia Chaudhury

This is a great spot!!! Poke is extremely fresh, tastes delicious, and the ‘Big Jim’ Hawaiian style bowl was completely perfect. And staff was also so kind. My uncle has been coming here for 6 years and loves it, so I had to try while in town for a few weeks. I had a great experience getting lunch here today and will be back!

Overall disappointed — the food was good and I generally like poke, so it’s not like that was unexpected. I appreciated how quickly the food was made too. I received my order quite promptly. That said, the customer service was just serviceable. I don’t have a problem with that — let employees feel what they feel. As customers, we can always tell when they’re faking it. The counter guy was fine. End of story. Really, the sticky point for me is the pricing. $15 for a small bowl of 50% salmon, 50% ahi with white rice and avocado. That’s too damn much, man. MAXIMUM that’s a $10 meal. Absolutely insane that they get away with that. Competitively, I think that should be $8.50. Then again, I don’t know what the tariff rate on white rice is. Note to self: Consult a farmer.

I normally love Poke poke and swear by it but this location is the worst one out of all the other in ATX. The person was rude(which is never the case for other locations. I always love the people). It took 20+ minutes to get 2 orders which, poke poke always have such fast service. Then we didn’t get the correct order and the rice was hard. Definitely not coming to this location again.

We got a single scoop and a two scoop poke. The 50/50 was very good as a base. The yowza yuzu was pretty tasty as was Jt’s. The white rice is better than the brown rice. They do have some outdoor seating, but nothing inside and no bathrooms. The price was a little high for lunch but it was filling.

other reviews are valid. should've read them first. poke is expensive. the small one is the size of a to-go miso soup. uses the same container too. if you have allergies, don't bother sharing it because they'll completely disregard it and add them anyways. no white rice... at a poke place. go anywhere else.

For what it is, this place feels very overpriced. My order had very little fish, and when I asked for help understanding the menu, the staff member just stared at me instead of offering assistance, which came across as quite rude. The extra charges for almost every add-on feel excessive (I could understand for premium items like avocado, but not across the board). Taste wise, the food is decent, but you can definitely find better quality and value elsewhere.

WOW Poke a couple streets over off Cesar Chavez is superior. For $20 I can get a big Bowl with a lot of add ons (free). Poke Poke charges for every option and cost me double for the same amount I would get @ WOW Poke. Don't waste your time & money.

Very excited for the new location in a walkable distance from us! We’ve been coming to Poke-Poke for a long no time and it always hits the spot. The quality of the fish and the seasoning is always delicious. My complaint is that we’re paying top dollar for it and the serving size is disappointing. Today I ordered one scoop of salmon and it was mostly seaweed and cucumbers. I get that food isn’t as cheap as it was but this doesn’t feel right either. When we first started going to the Congress location, we would marvel at how much it filled us and how much fish we got. I guess we have to adjust our expectations to the new serving size 😕 P.s. tables and set up is cute but lots of flies swarming while we ate.
