Google
Poke Poke was fantastic! I tried the Spicy Tuna Crunch Bowl and the Bulgogi Bowl, and both were absolutely delicious. They were fresh, flavorful, and worth the price. On top of that, the service was amazing. The guy was friendly, fast, and welcoming. I’ll definitely be going back for more!

The workers I have met have always been friendly. Some of them give good portions when scooping! I do not know his name, (he seems like the manager), but he's always been so sweet every time I've encountered him. The first time I went there, he was very patient as I figured out what I wanted. A couple weeks ago, there was a mix up with a Buy One Get One Free deal and he was kind enough to honor it. The food is a bit on the pricier side, but I wouldn't be able to make something for cheaper at home. The food is delicious and fresh. 10/10 would recommend!

After tragedy struck, and an entire box of chicken fell to the floor, Francis went out of his way to fix it. He immediately drove back to the Ann Arbor location to remake us the food and gave us some cookies as a sorry! Funnily enough, I believe it was my fault the chicken fell, so I really appreciated his kindness! We used Poke Poke in Ann Arbor to cater our corporate event! I was honestly shocked at their hospitality and help! Francis helped us bring everything inside, helped us set up, and even sent us references pictures of the usual set up so we knew what to expect. He was very communicative and I was able to rest easy knowing he could help. We even asked them to deliver the food almost an hour early and he was able to make it happen! I thought raw fish wasn't going to be very popular among the engineers we had at our conference, but everyone raved about the poke! They said it was some of the best they ever had and loved the creative liberty they had to build out their own lunch! It was a smashing success and poke has become a staple for our biannual conferences. For any future events you have that need to be catered, I suggest using Poke Poke in Ann Arbor! They delivered to the University of Michigan and provided everything we needed!

Google
The workers were nice and gave good service, I'm still new to eating poke bowls and the person who made mine was pretty patient. I'll admit the food seems to be a bit overpriced, but for the portion size it makes since. I was shocked by the size, it seemed like two servings worth. The food itself was tasty. My only real problem was the portion size and price- it would be nice to have the option for a smaller size that would then have a lesser price.

This is my favorite restaurant to go to. I rarely go elsewhere when eating out. I just left and I had a great interaction with the new manager. He was very welcoming and worked with me on making my order in a different way than normal. Plus he did much more! He informed me that the previous manager had went on with different endeavours and I wish her the best. She had a big personality that I loved! She was the main reason why I would come. She went above and beyond when working! I also love the setting of the business. Too many businesses are overly busy that are near by like chipotle but not here, it’s very relaxing. One thing that I also like is that there is a wheelchair accessible door with a button to press. That’s important to me as places of business are often not wheelchair accessible and don’t care to be even though I don’t use a wheelchair. I hope the business continues to grow as it’s deserving!

Food: 3 Staff: 4 Environment: 4 Not the best or good poke but it is what it is for Ann Arbor standards and options. The name of the establishment is… inaccurate but I’ll just leave it at that. Staff were nice though and there’s lots of indoor seating with free self-service water!

Google
Went for the first time today after saying "I should go in there" since it opened last year. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the bowl. I got the Tuna lover bowl and it was just awesome. Loved the spicy tuna and spicy mayo on top. And the worker who served me was super helpful after I told her it was my first time. Definitely going back to try more things and maybe I'll get adventurous and try to create my own. The only bad thing I could say is that this large bowl was $15. Pricy, but expected given it's sushi grade tuna.

SwagRight T.

Google
The employees who served us have no customer service skills. The lobby was loud and we explained that we couldn't hear what she was saying and she said she is not speaking any louder which is perfectly fine but unnecessary to say to us she simply could have waited a few seconds for the large group in the lobby to leave out of the front door and repeated herself. The sushi rice was clearly old along with several other toppings. As far as poke restaurants in Ann Arbor this is definitely bottom of the barrel when it comes to both service and quality

Yelp
First time coming here and was pleasantly surprised. I was worried that there wouldn't be any be vegan/vegetarian options but was happy to see they offered a vegan poke bowl. The portion size was good and it tasted yummy! Fast service since they build the bowl in front of you and talking friendly ambiance as well!

Yelp
AMAZING and DELICIOUS! Francis offered to let me try the sauces and protein options! Amazing food, energy, and customer service! You need to try this place out!

Yelp
My husband and I stopped by here on the way to the west side of the state several months back. We both wanted to share something, since we weren't that hungry and wanted to make sure to have an appetite for dinner later after reaching our destination. We split a pacific chicken bowl, it comes with a sesame ginger dressing. Not a lot of chicken from what I recall, but it's okay amount of food to share. It was okay, not what I would consider super flavorful, but it served its purpose. My husband likes these bowls of mishmash of ingredients in a bowl. Guess my preferred mishmash would be more of a Bibimbap for me with gochujang, that's my kind of bowl of goodness.

Amanda C.

Yelp
Not quite sure what the problem was, but the poke bowl I got here on a visit to Ann Arbor just didn't compare to ones I've had other places.

Yelp
I was craving a poke bowl in Ann Arbor and was happy to find poke poke- sushi unrolled. I made my own bowl with spicy tuna and salmon and an assortment of toppings. I really liked the toppings they had however I've never had a poke place charge $2 extra for seaweed salad especially when it's usually one of the normal toppings. The cabbage also tasted a bit weird. Overall the poke bowl was delicious and they were generous with the crunchy toppings if you asked.

Yelp
Stopped by over a weekend because I was really craving some poke, but can't say this place beats all the other sushi spots in the area. The poke is made fast and on the spot with an assembly line kind of feel. I opted to go with a build your own bowl, but realized that the fish portion is absolutely tiny. For the price point (~$15/bowl), I was expecting to get more. What was the most disappointing part of my meal, though, was how over-processed the spicy tuna was. It didn't resemble fish at all and was much spicier than other poke places I've tried (including Hawai'i). I couldn't finish my bowl because I was so uncomfortable eating it, both because of the heat and because of how processed it was. Although the inside is clean and modern, I don't think we'll be back. Plenty of other great Ann Arbor spots!

Yelp
Service was great and the food was great!! Laurence (or lawrence or laurance) however he spells it lol, was awesome. super chill & funny dude . my bowl was awesome. 10/10 place .

Yelp
Starting with the positive - the food was tasty and fresh. The rice was well cooked and seasoned, and the chosen sauce was well balanced in flavor. I tried salmon, tuna, and mahi, and all were tasty as well. Due to covid, I ordered online through uber eats, with delivery, and to my dismay the portion I received was very small. For the amount of toppings I received (and this is not only fish, but the veggies too) I would have needed a third of the rice. Additionally in the uber eats app, the given price for a build your own large is listed at one price, but then when you build it, your first protein is both required AND every option is an additional $2.95, as if I were adding a protein. I thought this was a mistake and contacted Uber, they claimed it is at the discretion of the restaurant to set up the menu. If this is a mistake, then I am glad to hear it and I hope Poke Poke fixes it, but if not, then this is just a way to cheat your customers. I don't see any reason not to be upfront about prices. I do hope this experience was a glitch, because as I said, I felt the quality of the food was good, but the price and size were a disappointment.

Abigail N.

Yelp
The worst poke I've ever had, the salmon and tuna tasted as though it had been sitting out for days. Not fresh at all and tiny portions, although I wouldn't want any more because it was not good. Do not recommend this spot if you like poke.

Yelp
Updating that since I've been leaning more on delivery/take out during these "unprecedented times" poke has been in that rotation. The deliveries always arrive fresh and tasty, and I love that they bring them in sealed bags so I know that they haven't been tampered with/touched by anyone who shouldn't, given we're so vigilant about contact with unnecessary people to reduce our risk, that is something I'm grateful for. I will say that I believe that the portion size of the proteins has gone down, though. I know times are tough and the cost of food is going up so that may be where they cut corners (or maybe I'm just unlucky and got a lighter handed scooper) so I'm not that irked about it, but I will say I was surprised the first time I ordered my regular bowl and got about 25% less fish in there. Being that that's my favorite part of the bowl (and what makes it poke vs. just a rice bowl) it was a bit of a bummer. But I'd rather have that than none at all so if that's what you need to keep in biz, Poke, then that's fine. Maybe just let us know? IDK!

Yelp
Good stuff! Fresh health food that is convenient and tasty. She knit out when in Ann Arbor.

Yelp
Nice to have a poke place on State Street. I like poke and I'm in this area frequently so this is a win. They have been open for two months but they never seem busy. Maybe they need a big Now Open sign in front. The food tasted fresh and there were good choices. We built our own regular-sized bowls. I had a combination of rice and spring mix as my base. I topped it with spicy tuna and Hawaiian salmon, veggies, gochujang, nori, and masago. They have a lot of seating. And, kudos for not using plastic bowls.

Yelp
Very modern space on S. State near campus. It was quite busy in there during lunch and the line was quite long which I'm assuming is because this place is relatively new...but also the students are back for fall term. I can only imagine it'll continue being busy as the new school year starts. Food-wise, they have some very fresh looking ingredients and even vegetarian and vegan options. For herbivores, you can order one of their signature bowls or make your own. Their Aloha Tofu Bowl is what I wanted which had: tofu, carrot, cabbage, avocado, sesame seeds, pickled ginger, watermelon radish, edamame, seaweed salad and citrus ponzu. So they have tofu. However, they also have something called ahimi which is vegan tuna made from tomatoes, salt and spices. I wanted to basically get the Aloha Tofu Bowl but they said no meat substitutions because I wanted one scoop of tofu and one of the ahimi, so I had to make my own bowl and basically just ask for that. So I made my own bowl over spring mix with all those ingredients, plus the ahimi and tofu but instead of ponzu (since most ponzu is made with fish sauce) I got the Gochujang sweet chili sauce. Overall, the flavors and bowl were very tasty! The ahimi is a very interesting texture though a bit heavy on the sesame oil. I give this place a solid 4 stars. I dock a star because I had to make my own bowl instead of being able to do one of each "protein" or "meat" in the vegetarian bowl or modify the existing bowl; and because I had to make my own there were extra charges for avocado and seaweed salad ($1 and $1.50 respectively), but those are already part of the tofu bowl. So a regular bowl there as is like $12 and because I had to make my own I ended up spending closer to $15. So keep that in mind -- it can add up!

Yelp
So there are a few options to grab poke in Ann Arbor and I will say this place has a lovely atmosphere, great service, and is quite the quick service spot. The food is prepped really fast and the employees are extremely helpful. I ordered a large bowl to go which ended up being ~$14. It included salmon, tuna, and mahi alongside a healthy portion of rice and veggies. In my experience however, the poke was very average. I'm used to cold poke and the bowl I got was slightly warm. The meats were fresh and the rice perfectly cooked, but it was missing that oomf I'm used to. To be fair I was not expecting the kinds of bowls you get in Maui, but I was a bit disappointed in the amount of seafood in the bowl, especially for $14 (close to 2-3oz total if I were to guess). This, paired with tons of rice made the ratio of poke to rice and veggies rather bland causing none of the sauces carry their weight. The dish was more of a salad than poke if I'm totally honest. However, the food was not bad! I'm just more appreciative of the poke available in the hospital cafeteria. However I will say this place was really convenient, the staff were very friendly, and the service was fast. I'd give the food a generous 3 and the service a solid 5!

Andrew C.

Yelp
I spent an extra $3 for an "extra scoop" of salmon, and the bowl was still maybe half full. There was also a large hard fish bone (0.5" by my ruler) in the fish. I've never had a bone in sushi in my entire life. To boot, the sushi was old and had little flavor. I will not be going back here and would not recommend it to anyone. There are a lot of reviews touting this as Ann Arbor's best sushi restaurant and that's...not true. Most of Ann Arbor's sushi is actually pretty good and this was absolutely at the bottom.

Mariko I.

Yelp
The highest quality poke restaurant in Ann Arbor. They have such a wide variety of options and the poke tastes fresh! Pros: good quality, great options, nice staff, cool interior Cons: a little expensive, the one time I got hot Cheetos on my poke bowl (pictured below), the Cheetos were very stale and really didn't go well with the bowl. Admittedly, that sounds like a personal problem--who actually puts hot Cheetos on their poke bowl?!

L K.

Yelp
Great variety of proteins, manager was helpful with directing me to make my 1 st bowl. Prices Great compared to surrounding rest
google avatar

Jaccard W.

Yelp
My first Poke experience was cool. A quick walk outside to grab some lunch brought me to Poke Poke. This may have been the best meal of the weekend. Order the large Dynamite Bowl as listed on the menu. With the large size extra protein included so I had Mahi mahi to compliment the shrimp and tuna. Quick in and out service. The carry out packaging is solid and the food can take a 10 minute walk back to hotel or dorm. Tip: Don't forget to grab an Aloe water and chop sticks.

Yelp
SUPURB food and service! Went to this location with a couple friends today and had a wonderful time! I got a miso soup and custom bowl, both were excellent! All of the protein choices, as well as the other options, were super fresh and tasty! The guy serving us, Brad, was unbelievably friendly, helpful, and quick to prepare all of our meals. The atmosphere of this place was on point! The food was on point! The customer service was on point! Nothing bad can be said. Will definitely be going back!
google avatar

Jessica Z.

Yelp
This place definitely has the best and freshest poke bowl in Ann Arbor. It is understandable that the quality of seafood here cannot compare to locations by the coasts, but I am happy with what I got. However, I wish there was a little more seafood/fish in these bowls for the price that I'm paying. Otherwise, everything was great, especially since we get the option to customize our bowls!

Dorothy G.

Yelp
Tiny portions - dry fish I should have read the reviews before ordering on door dash. Ordered the regular rainbow bowl. There was about 1/8cup of protein - hardly any for $17. The salmon was dry and tasted like it had been sitting out, completely flavorless. Most of the dish was rice and avacado. Was supposed to come with a house sauce but did not. Overall very dry. Got half spring mix and the veggies were wilted with brown. Never ordering from here again. Worth the drive to somewhere else.
google avatar

Leah N.

Yelp
When this place first opened it was really good. I came back after it being opened for two months several times and each time I was given the smallest portion sizes I've ever gotten with Poké. I can see being stingy with the fish, fine. But with the toppings? I asked for green onion and I was given 6. When asking for corn I got 8 pieces. Why so stingy? I pay $12+ for a bowl and it's mostly rice now. The ingredients are good, but they skimp on them.
google avatar

Nick B.

Yelp
Poke Poke is the equivalent of an "okay" roll of sushi blown up and unwrapped. It's not going to beat out a really good sushi place, but it is a decent choice for a fast lunch.
google avatar

Chris B.

Yelp
Decent poke place! A good number of protein and topping options. The upsides of this establishment are its location, portion size, and the fact that they mix all the ingredients in a separate bowl before topping your rice so the flavors are well-mixed. The pricing is $1-2 more than I'd prefer, but given the cost of rent on State St. this is forgivable. They might do well to have a third slightly smaller bowl size which is slightly cheaper. One of the funny things I had when I went was (soggy) flaming hot cheetos as a topping option. They frankly weren't all too bad.

Clyxius M.

Yelp
Extremely small portions. Paid 20$ for a large bowl and it was half filled up. Smallest scoops I've ever seen. You're better off buying sushi as it would be cheaper.

Sophia F.

Yelp
Poke bowl was valid, the miso soup was arguably one of the worst things I've ever had in my life. I think it was just hot water with green onion & tofu. Zero flavor.
google avatar

Michael S.

Yelp
This place puts a smile on my face. Ill get to the food, but let me start with the owner, Mike. This guy is on fire, so passionate and confident in his food/ service. The food is ridiculously tasty and fresh. After one bite im already my planning my next trip here. 10/10 imo
google avatar

Joyce L.

Yelp
Great location close to campus and not too overpriced like some other poke places near downtown. Really great fast casual place to get something decently healthy! I usually like to build my own bowl with brown rice/greens and get as many veggie toppings as possible. Wish the crab salad and seaweed salad were not extra though, but other than that a good hearty bowl of poke. I would recommend asking for extra sauce or going to the self serve station and adding your own sriracha/soy sauce because there's a lot of rice and it was a bit bland the first few times I've been here.
google avatar

Lucille H.

Yelp
Great selection of options and sizes! Really filling and they were very kind and gave me lots of recommendations as well as let me try many samples of the different proteins and sauces that they had on offer. Totally recommend the addition of some mango and avocado into your bowl.
google avatar

Angie R.

Yelp
Food was prompt. Presentation was nice, but it was just okay to me. Not much for taste and the tuna had a strong metal-ish taste like it had the taste of maybe it's container? Not sure. But def an off-taste. Not sure if I'd try it again
google avatar

Nancy C.

Yelp
Finally got a chance to come by Poke Poke for a bowl after learning of its opening over the summer. They had a good selection of proteins, toppings, and sauces. I went with the Dynamite bowl and was easily able to switch out the shrimp for the Hawaiian salmon, which I appreciated. The overall bowl was good--very spicy as the name suggests. The white rice in my bowl tasted a little undercooked though. The $1 upcharge on the seaweed salad is also a bit of a bummer. Otherwise, Poke Poke churns out a solid Poke bowl. Makes for a nice quick lunch or dinner on those days where you want something tasty and on the healthier end of the food spectrum. Plenty of seating available and very clean throughout. Staff was efficient and friendly.

Mindy T.

Yelp
The fish here was very old looking and unappealing. I got two scoops of salmon just because that was the only fish that didn't look gray and rotting. The rice was very overcooked and formed into a large, mochi-like ball making it weird to eat. Not only is the food quality just crap, it is so overpriced as well. $1.50 for seaweed salad and crab salad which is normally included at other poke places. Also, only one sauce is included in your order and an additional is $.79 like really? How skimp can you be? Only giving two stars because the workers were nice.

Sabrina X.

Yelp
Had high hopes since I saw really good reviews for this place, however it did not live up to the hype. I ordered online and when I picked it up, there was barely any sauce in bowl. The ingredients didn't taste very fresh- the mango add ins were hard and lost a lot of flavor. The rice was dry and not appetizing. I'm disappointed because I really like poke, but the poke here was disappointing.
google avatar

Sean R.

Yelp
I finally stopped by here for lunch. When I walked into the restaurant, I saw some items in the open fridge like seaweed salad and crab salad, and other items. I was most interested in getting a poké bowl. I decided to build my own bowl with Hawaiian-style salmon and spicy tuna. It was great! The best was the service, they really helped me build my own bowl and allowed for me to sample various sauces and proteins so that I could build a bowl that I wanted. I certainly will come back when I get the opportunity to.
google avatar

C M.

Yelp
We ate in. Quality and freshness of ingredients was subpar at best. Rice was not cooked properly and had rock-hard bits in it. Salmon was starting to gray in color and while not "off" was also far from fresh. Pineapple looked several days old (turning brown and translucent). My partner found a few hairs in her bowl. We both felt lucky that we didn't get food poisoning. Absolutely disgusting and will not return.
google avatar

Kasey W.

Yelp
Great place on S State St!! Very clean place with very friendly staff. I got the spicy tuna bowl and it was delicious! If you're in A2 and wanna try out some poke this is the place to go!!
google avatar

David M.

Yelp
Delicious! Great choices of veggies, fish, tofu, chicken, sauces and toppings. Everything looks and tastes very fresh. Place is clean and modern. Friendly staff that is helpful and seem to like to work here! Will definitely be back on next visit to Ann Arbor.
google avatar

Margaret W.

Yelp
They have a wonderful options you want to put in your bowl. I really appreciate their service! I went there for like three times, it's highly recommended for healthy food in Ann Arbor!!

Louis D.

Yelp
I normally love this place, but recently they have been really messing up my order, and continuing to charge me for everything they do not add. Today the brown rice in my bowl was completely raw, and they charged me for avocado which they did not even include in my bowl. There is no way to reach out to this store other than walking in, which is frustrating.

Mitchell W.

Yelp
service and food is superb, can't say enough good things. decent prices and extremely filling portions. Poke Poke is an AA staple!
google avatar

Victoria S.

Yelp
Beautiful newly renovated interior, very clean, good food. You can find keto-friendly menu items. They've got these strange takeout bags that are supposed to be tamper-evident.

Christine Y.

Yelp
Poké cravings definitely satisfied!!!!! Want to go again ASAP but I'm broke.. They'll give you so much food tho so it'll def last you a whole day! Love everything about it

Ellika L.

Yelp
I have been to hundreds of Poke places and I would not say that this is at the top of my list. It was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful but the food was just decent. I felt like my bowl was 99% rice and 1% everything else (and i did order a lot of mix-ins, protein, etc). It just felt a bit bland compared to other Poke places. It definitely was very clean and the service was great so if you want a quick bite it will be perfect

Sequoya D.

Yelp
They have the hottest worker ever in there she goes by the name of londen. Such a good service

Makenzie P.

Yelp
Super yummy and quick spot for lunch! The staff has always been very helpful and nice. My favorite is the spicy tuna with every veggie I can fit in.

Anchal M.

Yelp
I always get the tuna lovers bowl and it cures all my sadness. the food always bumps, get a large bowl and you're set for the day
google avatar

Michael E.

Yelp
Ever peel an avocado and find it covered in a grey muck? You scrape it off before serving, right? Not here. Poor quality ingredients, indifferent preparation, and they forgot one of the two items I ordered. My $15 bowl of poke ($23, with fees and tip) was a sloppy mess. I won't be ordering from them again.
google avatar

Rae A.

Yelp
Fresh, healthy and fast. This place had all three. I recommend building your own bowl , it works out to be a but cheaper and your get more toppings. I haven't had a bad combo yet .
google avatar

Anuksha S.

Yelp
My friends and I decided to check out this new spot during art fair and it didn't disappoint. The staff was super friendly, and I did the build your own poke option. I really liked the Hawaiian salmon. One of my friends was hesitant as it was her first time trying poke, but the server assured her that every ingredient is meant to work together in a poke dish, so anything she picks would taste good.
