Recently got a delivery order from GH. I got their make your own bowls and a side of takoyaki, Korean fried chicken, and the Taiwanese pork rice. Both poke bowls were good, but my favorite was actually the Taiwanese pork rice. Tender pork pieces with the soy glaze were perfect toppings for the rice, and the extra sauce enriched the overall flavors. The sauce used for the Korean spicy wings wasn’t authentic, but the wings were still great. Although this place is right next to a college campus, the prices weren’t very cheap. They were still quite generous with the portions, and I would probably get another delivery order in the future.

Google
Incredibly worth it. Compared to other Poke spots, they have lots of free extra toppings such as grilled zukini, crab sticks and etc

Isabella Borda

Google
Best poke bowls ever! I go here nearly every week for a reason- the food is delicious, service is quick, and prices are reasonable. They are generous with toppings, and the staff is always kind and fast. Great place for on the go food or take out. I recommend the Ahi Tuna Poke!

Layla Reese

Google
This burrito is like a big fat uncut sushi roll with a hint of salad amazing huge portions for your price!!! Perfect perfectly perfect!!!!! Also got a make your own bowl but ate half before I could take a good picture so that should explain that! Yum!!!

Google
…maybe the clientele here are not Asian or not used to good poke but I don’t recommend this place. Fish was very dry and cuts were smaller than average. The spicy tuna from other places usually has a creamy sriracha mayo sauce on it but here the sauce is not creamy/is flaky and dry and there’s barely any on the fish. The fish itself tasted very metallic. Salmon was glossy and moist so I would get that over the tuna. There was barely any sauce on my bowl so it ended up tasting like rice with dry metallic fish :( the most flavorful part of my bowl was literally the edamame…

Google
Inside the place was very nice, and the food was simply a-m-a-z-i-n-g!!!! It felt like an explosion went off in my mouth, and I was experiencing all the wonderful flavors of Hawaii!! ALOHA! Customer service was also exquisite!

Google
Every couple of weeks I visit Poke Station on Huntington avenue for my usual Sushrito or/ and Fisherman Poke Bowl with spicy mayo added and crunchies too! Now the goyaza, fried are crispie and delicious. Staff knows me well, as soon as I enter, they are putting my Asian specialties together.

Curtis Yu

Google
Great Poké bowl. Generous with their fish. Wish the sauce hit the rice a bit more. Some of the rice was bland, even after mixing all the toppings around. I like the variety of toppings too though. I will definitely make this place one of my more regular visits.

Lauren S.

Yelp
Ordered a bowl for pick up and I made my own! They are very generous with the amount of fish that they give you and there are a lot of topping options. Avocado and tobiko are each a dollar extra but most poke places I have been too charge extra for these toppings as well! Overall, I'm happy with how quickly they made my bowl and the size of my portion

Hubert H.

Yelp
I actually had the spicy miso ramen rather than poke on this particular lunchtime excursion. It was okay - the flavor wasn't so distinct, and the soup was a tad salty. The quantity of accompanying elements was on the low side, and thus the higher ($15+) price point was not entirely justified. Will try the poke next time.

Lizzie Y.

Yelp
I have been coming to this place for 3 years. I used to go more often but I still visit if I am in the area. The portion sizes are fair and for the most part are consistent unless you go at night around closing. They have ran out of sushi rice before. The workers are quick and efficient. Also, poke bowls tastes even better after putting them in the fridge. This place is good for large portion sizes compared to most poke places

Ella K.

Yelp
let me get started by saying this simple fact : the food is good. is it great? no. it's poke. the threshold for being better than average is quite high, almost unreachable, and most definitely out of the regular joe's budget. but this place will get the job done and feed your umami craving. the workers were kind of short, and almost rude at times, but who really cares when it's such a minuscule part of your dining experience. the ambiance is just another restaurant, nothing special. overall, the food was good, i'll eat here again, a bit expensive.

Max S.

Yelp
Great for a quick bite. Fresh ingredients, great portions whether you go with a small (2 protein choices) or a large (3 protein options). Service is quick and efficient no real waiting time.

Hursuong V.

Yelp
Solid poke place! I got the classic ahi tuna bowl. I was pleased with the amount of food. Rice was appropriately fluffy, and there was the right amount of sauce for flavor without drenching the whole bowl.

Fung L.

Yelp
Felt like I got ripped off. Tried the poke and taiwanese pork over rice. The poke was just decent but felt really mushy and not as fresh. The raw fish just didnt shine (before it got sauced up) and I felt it was too late to decline that order. Didnt want to be a scum bag. The taste didnt feel right but luckily I didnt get sick. Taiwanese pork was however a huge let down. I missed visiting Taiwan and was surprised to see this dish here in Boston. Opening the box, I was surprised to see tofu. It's not typically in the dish. For sure they added that as a filler and the pork was pretty lean and chewy when it should be fatty and tender. Not only that, the sauce was so bland. Huge no for me. Only gave 2 stars because I didnt get sick after eating.

Max S.

Yelp
They don't offer free tap water... very unwelcoming place. The food is decent, but until they improve their basic hospitality, I won't go back.

Zack M.

Yelp
I've been trying a bunch of poke places through Uber eats lately and this place was pretty good. Definitely will hit the spot and fill you up if you love poke. The tuna tasted very fresh and I really liked the citrus yuzu dressing. Overall this is a solid poke place if you've got a craving for it but I will admit I've had better from local places in Boston. A great compliment to staying in and playing Xbox after work.

Andrea C.

Yelp
When I first got this box of taiwanese pork rice it looked kind of small for 8 dollars. BUT boy do they pack and load it up with a lot of ingredients and rice! Very worth the 8 dol

Della S.

Yelp
The best deal for poke in the area. They give heaping portions of rice and large scoops of fish. Currently a poke bowl with 2 scoops of fish is $11 and 3 scoops of fish is $14. You can get plain white rice or sushi rice as a base. They also have brown rice and a spring mix. When I asked for half-half on rice and salad I think they gave me the regular serving for rice anyway with added salad on top. They offer both spicy salmon and spicy tuna as protein options. Unlike other places where the spicy tuna is practically ground into a paste, this place tosses their cut fish in spicy mayo. Like most other poke places, they have a wide variety of toppings and sauces to choose from. I like that this place has napa cabbage kimchi and cucumber kimchi in addition to standard toppings like edamame, masago, seaweed salad, etc. Despite the large portions, I can see why the prices are cheaper. The fish here isn't as fresh as other places in the area like Love Art Sushi or Pokeworks. Even their toppings could be in better shape-- the edamame wasn't as vividly green and crunchy as at other places. However, if you're craving poke, want to save some money, and are willing to take the risk on your stomach, then this is the place to go!

Alex T.

Yelp
There are many better poke places in the city, so I would not recommend Poke Station and Kitchen unless you desperately need raw fish and rice to survive. The fish quality was not the best and the sauce was not flavorful. That being said, the portions were generous and there was a large variety of options. Sincerely, Disappointed

Ivy T.

Yelp
This place is a solid 4/5! My favorite item is the sushi burrito. It's not very filling for the price, but it's just a nice tasty novelty item. It has tempura and kani salad, two of my favorite things! I also like the newspaper themed wrap it uses. The Taiwanese Pork fried rice was also yummy, I would get it again.

Julie N.

Yelp
Ordered take out here on a Wednesday night- small tuna and salmon poke bowl. Unfortunately, the fish was not at all fresh. Couldn't even finish it; worried I would get sick. Wouldn't recommend unless they do something about the freshness of raw fish.

Nicole L.

Yelp
So good!! This is my go to place for poke, I've been consistently ordering for about a year now and the price + portion size is absolutely worth it. Highly recommend!!

Yangsoo S.

Yelp
I've been here for couple times, and I think it is a nice addition to NEU area which lacks the East Asian cuisines. I tried their Korean chicken wings, Japanese curry rice, and pokes. Chicken wings tasted good but there weren't much meat to eat, their wings seem pretty small compared to the wings from other restaurants. Curry was alright, on the blend side. Their pokes are not as good as Pokeworks but I think it has pretty good taste. The unique thing about toppings for this restaurant is that they have kimchi(although they spelled it wrong in menu??) and kimchi pickles, which usual poke places don't have. I like they have more options like that, tho. I would recommend getting medium(two proteins) instead of large(three proteins) as the amount of protein you get is not that different and medium portion is still sufficient to get full.

Simon C.

Yelp
The employees decide to close early whenever they feel like it. Called to make sure they close at 10, but when I get there they said they close at 9:50

Savannah L.

Yelp
I thought this place was pretty good. I don't know about some of the negative reviews but I guess i went on a good day because my ordered were fresh and good! I would definitely be back!

Kevin Z.

Yelp
Fast and great service. Always come here for a quick meal before work. I recommend getting anything that has salmon in it. I personally live the spicy sake. People have stated that the fish is not great or fresh, however I view differently.

Sandy L.

Yelp
If you like poke and being a little adventurous with your meals, this is a good place to go. I tried the sushiritto which was a fun dish. I always love the option of trying new trendy dishes. It was good but I probably wouldn't order it again. I got the fisherman's bowl and chose salmon and tuna for my fish. Poke bowl was definitely the star here. Wings were good and crunchy but not memorable. I would come here again for lunch but maybe not dinner.

Sara Z.

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurants! I love the fisherman poké bowl (I recommend ordering it wish sushi rice!), and the tempura sushirrito. :) They're very prompt with their orders, the ingredients are always fresh and delicious- their portions in the poké bowls are also very generous, so you really get what you pay for in terms of portions! I've been going here regularly for a while, and I'll probably continue doing so for a long time! A great pick-me-up on any day!

Ricky C.

Yelp
Both bowls I order had the wrong stuff in them. They had fish cake in it? I wanted shredded nori and masago.... I asked for extra sauce none of that. I asked for sesame seeds none of that.... there was random small piece of lettuce in my food!? Gross. And the salmon was bad quality with the brown pieces! Food looked like left overs from some rando and the person who put it together clearly was not paying attention to anything

Luke A.

Yelp
This is a decent Poke Bowl place, and for its location, it definitely is a better option than the sushi place around the corner. $12-15 for a poke bowl is standard, not cheap, but definitely cheaper than a few sushi rolls (with much more quantity and toppings than said rolls). unlimited toppings (but it comes with the caveat of it really being a limited amount of each available topping) for no additional charge. Fish quality can be suspect at times, but make sure you look and ask before ordering. You get what you pay for here. It's better than expected and worth a shot if you are in the area and craving some raw fish.

Nicole L.

Yelp
I ordered from this place once for delivery and it was mediocre though I thought perhaps the long delivery time may had something to do with the quality of the food and it was not the restaurant's fault. I decided to give this place another shot today and built my own bowl with sushi rice, spicy salmon and spicy tuna. My main complaint is with the dressing. I had asked for sesame dressing but what I got was extremely sour and the rice had soaked up all this flavor. Maybe this wasn't the correct dressing I had asked for but regardless it was way too sour. The salmon and tuna didn't taste especially great or fresh. I've had better Poké elsewhere. This order cost me around $11-$12 that I would've rather spent elsewhere. Will not be coming back.

Arica B.

Yelp
Yummy food & very helpful staff! I never previously had poke, so I had to ask some questions about some of the ingredients options and the staff helped point me towards something great! And right next to Northeastern campus!

Sam T.

Yelp
If you've ever read any of my other reviews for Poke places in the Boston / Greater Boston Area, you'll know I've been making my way to every single Poke Place in the area. I found out this place opened up and just had to try it! The place is on the smaller side with some seating. The menu is written on chalk and not the most organized so it was a bit hard to read / understand if you'd never ordered a Poke Bowl before. I will agree with other reviews in saying the ordering is a bit confusing and the people who work there weren't the friendliest / most helpful. The listed items on the menu also differed then what the actual protein and topping were. It was a bit disappointing that Crab Salad was considered a Protein here since pretty much every other Poke Place is considered a topping that is part of the price or maybe a $1 more. They do however have a few more options that typical Poke Places as far as Protein and Toppings and Sauces. I got the Tuna tossed in Poke Sauce (which he didn't actually ask me but just did it on his own, which is fine, but probably should have asked), and drizzled with Sriracha Mayo, then topped with Seaweed Salad, Sweet Onion, Tamago, Jalapeno and more. They don't give you a lot (tiny clamp worth) of toppings, but a decent scoop amount of Protein. Eating it was still delicious though and filling. This place is on the lower end of the spectrum of pricing of a Poke Bowl compared to others. It's a bit far from my office, but if I was in the area, I'd still come here.

Vincent Y.

Yelp
Great poke, at medium pricing. The guy kind of rushed me a bit cause it was my first time there and was looking at all the options.

April K.

Yelp
Pissed. There is literally no pork in my side of Taiwanese pork rice. It is all tofu and one egg with a ton of rice. Also got a poke bowl the other day and the fish did not taste fresh. Never again.

Andrew T.

Yelp
TL;DR: Definitely would not recommend to a friend. Quality: The quality off the fish was dismal... everything tasted old... With fresh(er) fish, I'd expect the meat to be somewhat "springy" and firm. The fish I was served was the seafood equivalent of a wilted vegetable in your fridge that you probably should've eaten last week. Quantity: Sometimes you can overlook lower quality for larger quantity to justify your price point. Unfortunately this was not the case. My two "scoops" of protein put together was probably 3/4 of a full scoop. Toppings: The one redeeming factor about this place is they had a wider range of toppings than I'm used to seeing at a poke place, especially when it came to the tobiko/crunch options. Still the toppings were given out very sparingly... Conclusion: Listen... I get that the main market here is a bunch of college undergrads but unless you're catering to the 2am drunk crowd, the quality level needs to be raised if they're planning on sticking around. As I sat down to eat, I realized the chopsticks that I had grabbed from the utensil area was from Ichiban Yakitori Sushi House down the street... Didn't go back to check if the rest of them were also taken from Ichiban... but seriously? Overall the small bowl cost around $11-12. At that price point, do yourself a favor and get a pulled pork sandwich from Tattes down the road or a burrito bowl from Amelias next store.

Alex B.

Yelp
Positives: -Location: close to Northeastern University, The Green Line, & The Orange Line -Convenience: Very fast, never a long line like Tatte down the street or Amelia's next door Negatives: -Poor Food Quality: Fish I got was old and grayish, the tuna was the color of old red meat that has been sitting in the fridge for weeks and portion sizes were extremely small. -High Base Price: The base price for a poke bowl was $12-13 including tax and you only get 1 protein option which they barely give you any. -Portion Sizes: More than half my bowl was filled with rice to make it look like more, which was disappointing since the add-ons are included -Poor Service: As someone who has working in the food industry and customer service, I always try to give folks the benefit of the doubt but the servers were generally unhelpful and confused as to why I was asking so many questions. When I told them it was my first time, they didn't even explain the ordering system or seem to care. Probably underpaid college students just trying to get by. -Confusing Menu: The posted menu in the location was very confusing and didn't explain how one should order or what was included. The folks working there didn't do a good job of explaining either. I was generally confused through the ordering process and had to continually ask questions about what was included or not. Opinion: In my opinion, this place has such fast service because most folks are waiting in line to eat at more popular restaurants on the street like Amelias & Tatte. However, as the only sushi/poke place in the NEU area I expected this place to be an instant hit like their Love, Art & Sushi counterpart about 15 minutes walk down Mass Ave. near Berklee School of Music. But the lack of service, food quality, and shit portions sizes wont bring me back. The fact that at Poke Station I paid $13 to get 3x as much rice and 3x less toppings than I could have gotten at the poke restaurant down the street was extremely disappointing. For the future, Love, Art, & Sushi is only a 15 minute walk away and has better prices, better food quality, more toppings/options, and better service. So if you are in the area and craving some sushi or a poke bowl you are better off taking a walk down the street to Berklee or getting a qdoba bowl.

Jiwon L.

Yelp
The order was ready really fast Salmon and the salad was fresh and spicy mayo sauce was nice!!

Dani L.

Yelp
I was not impressed with this poke place at all. I recognize that they just opened but since poke places have been around for quite some time I would have expected that they would have known how to do it. I ordered a make your own poke bowl and got the large, which means I got to choose 3 "meats". The regular size is one meat only, and is 10.95. I got 3 TINY scoops of fish on top of a huge bed of rice. All of the toppings I added were also dollop sized or smaller and I had to ask for more of everything. Being stingy about sesame seeds is beyond me. I got the classic sesame sauce but overall the whole bowl was rather tasteless and I ended up putting on several packets of soy sauce to give it some flavor. The meal put me back $15, and it is definitely not worth it.

Anna G.

Yelp
Yummy poke bowls and chicken wings! The small is more than enough food for a big lunch or dinner.

Dave S.

Yelp
Great, quick takeout. It's an unassuming place that you'd figure would have mediocre food, but instead, it's quite fresh and flavorful and has become our local yummy takeout place.

Steven Z.

Yelp
This is a new poke spot right next to northeastern university. The ordering can be a little confusing at first, but the staff was helpful in clearing up any confusion I had. The price was cheaper relative to other poke locations in Boston. You are allowed as many toppings (minus the premium ones such as avocado) as you'd like which is cool. The food overall was yummy and quite food.

Olivia B.

Yelp
My favorite place for poke in Boston. No one else will give me teriyaki chicken. Never ever had a bad experience or a bad dish here!

Christine T.

Yelp
If you're all about getting the bang for your buck, this place might be the spot to go. Like most poke places, it's fast casual style. COST (5/5) It's about $11 for a small bowl, which includes I believe 2 scoops (ice cream size) of protein. You get to put basically unlimited toppings, besides the $1 extra for avo, and if you aren't picky you can really just fill that bowl up with everything they have. QUALITY (3/5) The quality is average, but hey, you aren't coming here because it's the best poke place in town, but because it's convenient, pretty cheap, its good quantity. (I've heard you get more fish here than at Love Art Sushi.) If you don't want average quality fish, or if you're vegan or vegetarian, you can also get tofu as your protein!

Gigi W.

Yelp
I uber eats my food and it was amazing! I ordered a small build your own poke bowl with Pork, Avocado, Kimchi, and 2 sauces. My friend got a veggie burrito and the fried chicken. It was quick and delicious! The sauces and kimchi had so much flavor and there was a large amount of everything without having to ask for extra.

Robert S.

Yelp
This place is awesome. Great poke bowls(which are hard to find in Boston) for very reasonable prices. All ingredients are fresh and staff is very helpful to make sure you make the best order possible and that your ingredients complement each other well.

GK M.

Yelp
Consider this the MacDonalds of poke bowls. Anyone who says otherwise is lying to you, and themselves. The quality of the fish is questionable, the vegetables aren't fresh and bright. There was non of that mouthwatering deliciousness you expect from umami foods.I was actually waiting to get sick after eating this. Their Taiwanese pork rice is their saving Grace, because those poke bowls are not it.

Ava D.

Yelp
Sooo good! My brother thought it was much better than the usual poke place he frequents. So timely and such fresh ingredients for such a reasonable price!! Highly recommend :-)

Laurie L.

Yelp
Looking for delivery online and searched for poke....Ordered two fisherman's bowls and arrived within a very reasonable time frame. Nice warm rice topped with generous amounts of fresh tuna and salmon and scallops. Perfectly ripe and tasty avocado and mango. Nice balance of seaweed and sauce. We were impressed! We would definitely order again. Very happy with the quality, quantity and prompt service.

Sri M.

Yelp
Was super excited to see that a poke bowl place was opening up on campus, and overall I'm pretty pleased! I was put off by the price initially, but I think for how much you're getting, it's very fair. I ordered a large signature bowl and it was more than enough food for me on an empty stomach. Fish quality isn't...great? I've had better locally. But again, for the quantity, I think it's a fair trade. The veggies were great and the service was very polite. Overall, you can probably walk for 10-15 mins and get a better poke bowl, but if you're a student nearby it should be good enough if you're trying to satisfy a craving.

Bruno V.

Yelp
Good portion, food Ok but costumer service was terrible. I asked for my 2 sauces on the the side then the older guy that works there told me: " You are asking for too many sauces on the side" I asked my sauces on the side since I wanted to control myself the amount that goes on my own food, In my on my option the guy was rude and I won't go back. Costumers should be treated better than that.

Willow L.

Yelp
I went to Poke Station today for a quick lunch, and I was very impressed! The bowls are huuuuge so you definitely get the bang for your buck. I got a small bowl and still had enough for a second meal! I got the spicy tuna and the crab salad, both were very yummy and super fresh! My belly is happy, so I am happy :) Definitely worth the $12, especially because you get way more than you would if you just got sushi rolls!

isa d.

Yelp
Didn't like my poke at all, they added ingredients I didn't ask for. I would try it again and maybe it's better...

Michael P.

Yelp
This place sucks. The seafood tastes old and it was difficult to order. I got the scallops and salmon poke bowl and literally picked off the scallops cause they weren't edible. Better off going to Sympony or Ichiban right down the street. They taste better if not the same price or cheaper.

Matt K.

Yelp
Really disturbed by the experience I just had. I go here often and it is very inconsistent-- sometimes very good, other times below average, but it's nearby and convenient. I get the chicken and/or pork because I don't eat raw fish. Today, in my $14 bowl, absolutely none of the meat I got was edible-- it was all super hard as if it were days old, and the parts that weren't tasted like biting into a clove. Further, the sauce I get every single time tasted putrid. I tried to ignore it and just eat the vegetable, but I bit into the red cabbage I got and there were raw red onions mixed into them. Very hesitant to go back again.

Christine L.

Yelp
It's great to have two favorites - poke and Korean fried chicken - in such a convenient spot on campus. The serving size for the poke bowls is pretty generous and they have a good selection of toppings, but the fish is average and could be of better quality. I like how they they fry the chicken on the spot, but the soy garlic seasoning needs a lot of work. It's not bland, but kind of boring - it tastes nothing like the soy garlic you expect from other Korean fried chicken places.
