Nut allergy friendly, didn't even have to ask. Was empty on a Sunday afternoon. We ordered a loaded Large Box through Uber Eats and picked up. The glass noodles felt undercooked, much too stiff. The chicken was alright. Fish portions were pretty small and felt a little cold, like frozen. Pineapple definitely came out of a can, too sweet for me. I was surprised to see that the edamame was still shelled. Never been to a place that has served poke like that. Everything else was alright.

Google
I’ve been ordering take out at this place for years, but I’m finally giving up. It’s too bad because they used to be pretty good and they’re in a convenient location for me. I order pineapple every single time and every single time I receive a bowl with no pineapple. I’ve received entirely different orders altogether. Last nights experience took the cake, though. I ordered my usual - large bowl, a bunch of add ins (see my receipt below). I go to pick it up and the girl at the counter is like “oh we didn’t have regular crab salad so I used spicy” OK, bold of you to sub without asking but I was really hungry so I said “that’s fine”. I take it home and it’s literally just brown rice, red cabbage and corn. And some fish. That’s it. Oh and of course the spicy crab salad that I didn’t order. LOL so let me get this straight. You mentioned the spicy crab salad but you didn’t bother to mention the other 8+ MISSING ADD INS? You didn’t bother to mention that you weren’t able to fill this order like at ALL? Shameless. I tried to eat it but, guys, it was so effing gross. Just looking at it made me sick - I couldn’t eat it. These people don’t pick up the phone OR return calls. It’s become abundantly clear (between my experiences and reading these other neg reviews) that they just don’t give a F. Don’t give them your money. They don’t deserve it. Also the owners replies to some of these reviews are completely unhinged LOL you should read through some of you have a few mins.

Ordered a large bowl (4 scoops of protein), it was 8 small pieces of fish in total (2 per scoop) in a massive portion of other add-ins. Wasn’t even that good either unfortunately. The worst part of all though was the fact that your edamame option is UNSHELLED edamame?! I have NEVER been to a poke place anywhere that uses unshelled edamame. It was mixed in, so I had to dig it out of each bite, and it was like 1/3 of the entire bowl. Like, have you ever tried your own food to see if it is enjoyable? Because it’s not. That’s just straight laziness in a dish.

Google
Incredibly dissatisfied, I ordered two large poke bowls and received very few portions of fish. The majority of it was rice and they left out most of the toppings on my other bowl (mango, corn, onion, pineapple, tempura flakes, nori). I find it weird they added spicy mayo on one bowl but not on the other. Spent $33 on two bowls that weren't even what I ordered. Not to mention the fish that we did get wasn't fresh... I'm not a crazy food critic so I'm not docking points for bad presentation. I tried to take into consideration the busyness of the restaurant but there was only me and two other people in there, it was not packed whatsoever so I find it really difficult to understand why they messed up our orders so badly. If they simply didn't have the toppings I wouldn't have minded but they should've made the customer aware of what they are and aren't serving. Overall, I wish I could give this place a .5/5, I, unfortunately, have to settle with a 1/5. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ‼️ -g reviews 😞

Google
This place is great! There's a variety of choices and sauces to use on the fish. Everything tastes amazing and there's plenty of it. I highly recommend the uala chips when they're in stock. It's still my favorite poke place in Austin.

Google
Very generous portions and great selection of high quality ingredients. I got ahi tuna and salmon and everything turned out delicious. If I lived closer this would be my go to place for poke. This is probably the best poke place I've tried in Austin. Highly recommend!

Google
So good! We usually go here for Jamba but craved a snack. Came in ordered on the app machine, waited 5 minutes and then our order was ready. So delicious and fresh fish. Our bowl had salmon, spicy tuna, marinated ahi tuna. We would come back! So yum.

Michelle

Google
Not good…my boyfriend and I loveeee poke and wanted to try something new from our usual Poke Poke on Congress (highly recommend!) We came on a Wednesday and the place was empty, void of employees and customers. We ordered on the kiosks and received our orders quickly. The portion is huge but you get what you pay for. The fish was not fresh, nearly frozen still. The mountain of food was bland and almost sickly. Usually monsters who are never satisfied with the amount of poke we buy, we ended up not finishing our meals. Sorry Poke Eatery, I would not recommend.

Yelp
What happened to this place? It closed overnight. I really liked this place. It was my go-to. They stopped serving Dole Whip which made me sad. They seemed to always be out of something but it was still good. I never got sick.

Clau R.

Yelp
The pros: convenient location, reasonable prices, quick service, and offers delivery. The cons: I don't feel that the ingredients they use are of high quality. Several months ago, I got really sick after eating here. This is sad, because I love poke. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt - maybe it was something else I ate? So, I went back a few weeks later. Got sick again. I'm not coming back.

Yelp
The ordering system is a bit confusing. If you need help, tough luck. The employees are too busy staring at their phones. Luckily another customer helped me with my credit card payment. The food itself is mediocre. Fish does not look nor taste so fresh. Poke is not even cut up into poke-sized cubes but instead are long strands of fish. A knife would've been helpful with our chopsticks. My sauce wasn't even mixed in with my poke. It was soaking through the bottom of the box. The dining area was filthy! The tables needed to be bused, floor swept, and trash can was filled beyond capacity. The high top table that looked clean enough to eat at was grossly sticky! This place is a hard pass however on the flip side, there are other dining options in this shopping center that look amazing!

Yelp
I have always passed by Pokeatery when picking up neighboring Ike's sandwiches, so I wanted to give them a whirl. I was also pleased to see they label which items are Gluten free friendly. So I decided not to place an order online and instead head to the restaurant and dine there, but when I walked in there was nobody in sight, just a screen. No problem for me as I was able to customize my bowl to my liking, making sure I chose only gluten free options. I opted for the 3 protein, getting albacore and tunax2, white rice, carrots, cucumbers, ginger, edamame as a side and on top, and avocado. Once the order was placed, a gentleman came out and started making the bowl. He was done in about 1 minute and then I decided to take it to go. When I got home, it looked great so I was excited. I will say the avocado was a bit brown but otherwise the rest of the ingredients were fresh. Except for the fish. It was just okay. It lacked flavor, and im pretty sure I got skimped on the ponzu sauce. The edamame was pretty good though. I find it hard to return to pokeatery, because next door HEB sells some pretty tasty poke bowls for a lot better value. I appreciate the GF labels and compostable bowl, but otherwise it was average.

Yelp
Pokeatery in Mueller offers a convenient and efficient ordering experience through kiosks, although occasional malfunctions or user confusion may lead to longer waits. Despite this, the large signature poke boxes boast fresh and quality ingredients. My go to is their Surfer Large poke box. A notable perk is the complimentary miso soup if you do a Yelp check-in. Overall, the location provides good food at a fair price, making it a convenient choice for those in the area.

Patrick W.

Yelp
I'm a big fan of poke. Location trees in the strip mall around the other shops is a good idea. Parking is ample plus they had short term parking spaces nearby so you know there will be a short walk to this destination. Had a meh experience here for some reason. Service was fine, but for some reason the food didn't have fresh consistency that I've had other places. Fish tasted bland. Lettuce was so-so. I didn't feel the bowl was full of flavor. Maybe it was an off day...maybe I wasn't feeling it. Not blaming anyone. Will come back to try it out again after the holidays.

Elyssa D.

Yelp
Their ordering service is really cool- they have a computer set up where you pick all your toppings and it's complete with photos so there's no confusion. I like this option because it takes out the trial and error of trying to speak over the window when directing the employee. With the use of the computers, there isn't much interaction between customer and employee, so I'm not sure how well the customer services but it wasn't a bad experience as far as that goes. We had two bowls, and they were two employees behind the counter. They both got started working on our balls as soon as the order went through so it came out pretty quickly. We originally planned to eat inside the restaurant at the many tables they had available but they were sticky. All of them. I think whatever they are using to clean the table is affecting the tarnish on top of it and making it very unpleasant to touch. We still chose to eat there, but we ate at the small tables they had out front. All in all , the poke was not the best. I'd say fairly mediocre. In comparison to other poke spots. I can't exactly pinpoint what was off about it. Aside from their sauces not being too tasty, and the poke itself lacking a little bit of flavor.

Sheila R.

Yelp
Fresh ! You pick the ingredients of the bowl ! Self service kiosks.... My favorite poke spot ! Highly recommend !

Vy T.

Yelp
Regular box is a pretty big portion for me, but not a bad price for 3 proteins. Nice selection of sauces too.

Hayden S.

Yelp
I've now had Pokeatery three times and each time I've had it, the food has been fresh, well-prepared and tasty! My personal favorite proteins are marinated ahi, spicy tuna, and spicy crab. I usually add both brown rice and greens as my base, top with the proteins above and add on edamame, cabbage, cucumber, crispy onions, and their signature medium sauce. I few good eating it, too, because it's pretty light but also quite filling!

Steven X.

Yelp
Update: they no longer serve the dole whip float. They don't even have pineapple dole whip anymore. Sad

Edwyn A.

Yelp
When I'm shopping the big box stores at muller, this is a good lunch option in the area. They are also on the delivery apps as well. Service is easy and quick compared to other poke shops you just order on a screen and wait for your number to be called. The poke is ok not the freshest or the most types of toppings but a pretty good selection. The large allows for three scoops of protein if you are hungry but the regular is perfect for most appetites. The star is the dole whip and I normally get this when I see it on the menu. As for ambiance it looks like it's mostly workers in the area eating lunch.

Bee E.

Yelp
Pokeatery is delicious. Hands down very fresh poke, a variety of ingredient options, size options are great and it was a meal my daughter and I really enjoyed. The menu was also really easy to understand and navigate unlike other poke restaurants we've been to. Unfortunately, I really really disliked the process. Not to dramatize this, but it was alternate reality feeling. No one in sight or to greet you and you do all the manual ordering on touch screen computers by yourself. The gentleman working behind the counter stood way in the back and quietly put together our bowls and then said only four words to me: my name and "thank you." It felt so detached and un personable and I truly couldn't believe I had zero interaction with the person who just made my food. I also feel bad for the gentleman working there having no contact with his customers all day. I imagine a normal person working a customer service job would get some enjoyment out of their job having human to human service conversation. Oh, and the kiosk had the audacity to ask if I'd leave a tip. I feel for the employee, but I had just done 50% of their job. I would be hesitant to recommend Pokeatery solely because of how dystopian it felt. This place would undeniably have a five star rating if you'd take away the touch screens and let the employee do the taking of the order. What has happened to customer service?

Kara M.

Yelp
I've been eating a lot of poke lately, and my friend and I stopped by since we were in the area. This place was just okay for me in comparison to other places (Poke House being my go-to). You walk in and place your order on a screen. You select your bowl size, bases, side, proteins, sauces, and toppings. I went with a mini bowl with brown rice, crab salad, two scoops of marinated ahi, green onion, edamame, original sauce, crispy onion flakes, and I paid extra for seaweed. For the most part, the toppings are free - but seaweed and avocado are extra. For this mini bowl, I paid about $13, which is a bit pricy for the portion (I get about double this size for the same price elsewhere). The bowl was made well, but the flavor was mediocre. The fish didn't taste as fresh or have that good marinated flavor you expect for classic ahi...it almost tasted plain. The fish was also paler than what I'm used to. It wasn't terrible, but it just wasn't a good poke bowl that I would come back for. I also tried my friend's Dole whip for dessert, and it was okay! Overall, I don't think this would be a place I'd go out of my way for to get poke. It's not bad if you're in the area, though, and really wanting to try some!

Lisa B.

Yelp
The food here wasn't that fresh especially considering it's raw fish. Luckily no food poisoning but you could taste the texture of the fish being off. Would not come back

Kaitlin O.

Yelp
Good poke, but I think there's better poke places in Austin. I got the marinated ahi and salmon as my toppings and they just didn't taste as fresh or flavorful as other establishments. I did really enjoy the spicy crab salad, it was pretty spicy, but still delicious. Toppings were all pretty standard, but I do wish that seaweed salad didn't cost extra ($1.25) since that's one of my favorite toppings. I like how you can place your order at the kiosks, it makes the whole process easier and contactless for COVID. Tip: Check in on Yelp for free miso soup!

Wendy K.

Yelp
The food was excellent. It was quick and delicious. I took away one star because they were out of fountain drinks. The scallops and crab meat and cucumber were excellent . I enjoyed the brown rice, and the cucumber. There were just a little bit of corn in there.

Tracey Z.

Yelp
The best poke place that I have tried in Austin. Normally I have pretty high poke standards and don't enjoy most poke places that aren't near the ocean, but the food here is not bad. The way in which you order on a screen and get to see pictures of each item you want to add on is a highly efficient, COVID friendly way to order. I also really appreciate how user friendly the online ordering device is. I highly recommend the rice noodles, the garlic edamame, spicy tuna, and the spicy ponzu sauce. You really can't go wrong with anything you put on a poke bowl, and the customizability of a build you own bowl is up to the preference of the consumer, but these elements really stood out to me on my dish. Poke is normally on the pricier side in general being seafood, but the kid's meal box is a pretty substantial amount of food for less than $10!

Peiying W.

Yelp
TLDR: Food was ok. The ordering kiosks didn't function well. The staff wasn't the most friendly. They were not preparing for any order when I arrived. The staff told me to order on the iPad kiosk. 1/3 of the iPad was down and the one I used had some issues. They had to restarted the iPad so I had to put in everything twice. Meanwhile they'd rather tell me to order on my phone than offer to take my order at the assembly line like most other poke place. I was a bit disappointed particularly because I've been to their location in California and loved it.

Jessica G.

Yelp
So, I come here quite often because of the options and freshness of the food. This past time around, I was skimped only my box. Normally get a whopping spoon full of my base.....I got the tiniest bit for a base. Moving onto my sides. I normally do the crab because it's simple...typically, they load it up.... Today, not so much. I got one scoop and then they spread it around to make it look like two. Moving on to the protein. I always do two scoops Ahi Tuna and then one scoop marinated Ahi Tuna all mixed with a spicy mayo sauce...... Now this is the real reason I am writing my review. I'm not sure who thinks this is what a poke bowl is supposed to look like, but this is not it. There is hardly any protein here for me to enjoy. And then...there is hardly any spicy mayo on any of it! I would love to keep coming back here but not if it's going to be like this for the amount of money I pay for a bowl. The pictures that are attached are before I started eating. I deliberately took the photos so that I can show what it looks like. You shouldn't be able to see the bottom of the box. If you look where the for is, you can see the bottom of the box quite well. Guys, this is not what I was expecting. I'm so let down and disheartened by one of my favorite restaurants.

Michelle K.

Yelp
Spent about $50 dollars just to be disappointed. I used to love coming here but after today I will not be coming back. The fish tasted so funky I'm hoping I do not get sick. There was no flavor in anything. I feel so sick to my stomach and I'm really upset that I wasted my money. We couldn't even eat past a couple of bites and we were starving! SO GROSS do not come here! On a positive note the woman working is very wonderful and very kind.

K H.

Yelp
I just returned from Disneyland and was enlightened to the cult of Dole Whip (got a pineapple and mango swirl). Between LA and Austin I have been desperately searching for an equivalent Dole Whip: Menchie's, Brian's Shaved Ice, and now Pokeatery. I was super excited about Pokeatery given both the owner photos and customer photos showed a creamy Dole Whip. I read reviews that said it was icy, and alas, it seems at least recently it is icy! I would say it's more of a pineapple slush than Dole Whip, despite the mix apparently being purchased from Dole. I will say this was not too sweet (as unsweet as you can get for pineapple anyway) and less icy than Menchie's. As a slush/sherbet type deal it's perfectly good. Their non-pineapple flavour is on a rotation and this time it was cherry. I'm definitely going to give this place another try some time next year given other customers (see photos tab) have gotten the creamy Dole Whip; hopefully mango will be available at that time. I shall update after my next quest for Disney Dole Whip!

Alissa P.

Yelp
Normally delicious. The location smells very clean which seems great but definitely turns me off to wanting to go into the storefront.

Brian K.

Yelp
+ portion size- good amount ++ value- decent prices for what you get + quality- very high ++ freshness- kept at very cold temperatures (very important for raw fish!) + ordering system- cant quite say if i like ordering off kiosks yet or not. you get accuracy and ease, but we're losing the human element. sometimes this is desirable, but only because some people werent taught communication skills. more than often i still enjoy interacting with someone taking my order.

Raine B.

Yelp
After browsing through many options to satisfy my poke craving, I finally picked Pokeatery. The food definitely live up to the rave reviews! Upon entering, guests order through tablets and build/customize their bowl from there. After deciding on all the options for your order, you'll pay and wait for your order to be called. I really love this concept because it's easy to social distance/minimize as much social contact as possible! The staff is also super efficient in getting orders out, and the establishment is very clean! For my bowl, I got a mix of brown rice and citrus kale for my base! I absolutely loved their citrus kale. It was delicious, and I honestly wished I ordered more. The veggies were crunchy, and the crab salad was good. For fish, I picked salmon, ahi tuna, and spicy tuna! Their fish was fresh. I picked spicy ponzu and original together, and it went great with the fish! For the price and quality, I was satisfied with my meal! Pokeatery is definitely worth trying out! Visit them the next time you're in the mood for poke. They do not disappoint!

Ella G.

Yelp
I don't usually write yelp reviews, but this place had the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Usually I love the food here, but after the service today I am never going back. The ordering system is on a large tablet computer. My friend put in her order, and then I put in mine. When the food was ready at the counter, my friend received something totally different than what she ordered, and I received what she ordered, and what I ordered myself was nowhere in site. The computer seemed to have us receive/pay for the previous order in the system instead of our own. When I explained that I never received my order to a worker, he said there was nothing he could do. I asked if he could make what I actually ordered, he said I'd have to pay for it AGAIN, even though I never received what I selected on the screen. Instead of just making what I actually ordered, he said he couldn't because of "inflation", and tried to gaslight us into thinking we got our own orders wrong. There was no manager to talk to and he refused to give us a refund. Spent $20 and left empty handed, was a very upsetting experience. If you go there, take a video of what you're ordering on the tablet so you have proof of your order.

Sophia C.

Yelp
Fresh fish and delicious toppings make this poke place one of my favorites in Austin! I got the regular bowl with salmon, tuna, brown rice/salad, corn, masago, edamame, cucumbers, crab salad, pineapple, and furikake. The spicy crab salad was something that most other places don't offer, so I was excited to add it to my bowl! Overall, I had a great experience and would highly recommend checking out pokeatery, especially near UT campus!

Chris F.

Yelp
Ok, so first off - I'm a person who automatically says no to the word "pickled" anything. Except for Poke, then I'm like, "obviously." All that to say, this place was delicious. The ordering on a kiosk was a little confusing for me. But it still turned out delicious; so, I guess you don't really have to know what you're doing. The food was out in under 5 mins - they texted when it was ready. Spicy tuna = spicy Spicy edamame = edamame Spicy mayonnaise = amazeballs Mental note: 1x seaweed is sufficient and regular is quite large.

Megan L.

Yelp
I was craving poke and Pokeatery was the closest poke place near me. I'm glad I came because I really liked my bowl. I'm actually pretty picky about poke. The place needs to have good topping options (preferably unlimited), the fish must taste decently fresh, and the sauce has to be good. I was pretty impressed. The salmon and albacore was chewy and bouncy. The sauce (my personal mix) was also very good. I loved my toppings, but I wish seaweed salad was not extra. The only complaint I have is that the rice was very mushy and overcooked. I'm sure it must've been only because I came in about 10 minutes before Pokeatery closed, but I didn't necessarily mind that much since poke is meant to be mixed in with everything so the texture of the rice doesn't matter as much. I would give this place a try! It's located in a popular shopping square, so you can shop around and then get a decently healthy meal to end your day.

Lyla A.

Yelp
I thought this place was pretty good. I am particular about my poke and hadn't tried it so my four year old and I vent in yesterday. I got the regular poke bowl. I liked the variety of options they provided and that they are willing to do 1/2 and 1/2 on the base for your bowl. I got the marinated ahi as I usually do and I'm used to the sauces going on my bowl. At pokeatery they took my already marinated ahi and put all of the sauces in it and mixed it up so it tasted kind of weird. I would have much preferred the sauces on the bowl. I also didn't like the shakers wirh the crispy onion and garlic because no matter how much you shake barely nothing comes out. There was no soy or sriracha available to add. Poke House is my gold standard in Austin. This place was fine but not my first choice.

Ryan E.

Yelp
Ordered a large build my own poke. It was pretty good but the box was just over half full, with barely any fish, which was surprising since other reviews said a large could be enough for two meals. Quality and speed was good just left a little hungry.

Van N.

Yelp
This place is okay. I do like that for a regular bowl you get 4 choices of protein. The caveat is the scoop is smaller. They do have kale as a base! The choices are plenty in everything else as well. The only gripe is the seaweed salad definitely costs an extra dollar if you order online. I see that others have pointed this out, yet they still haven't changed it. I like consistency in pricing. Now, why the 2 stars. Given the green initiative globally and population in Austin. I'm very disappointed when I walk in and see plastic wraps on every.single.bowl. The question is why? Do you not wash the bowls? If yes then why the plastic? If no then obviously gross. I don't see other Poke places doing this, and I eat poke everywhere. I want to say that this is a 'we want to be super clean' issue and not 'just put a bag around the bowl so we don't have to wash it' issue. I also hope they at least recycle.

Kayley R.

Yelp
Fresh, flavorful poke! Recently moved to Austin and been looking for a poke place to replace my favorite in Houston. Pokeatery has won! Both my fiance and I got regular poke boxes. Mine with white rice, triple spicy tuna, spicy crab salad, garlic edamame, jalapeno, spicy mayo, original gluten free sauce, green onion, shelled edamame, pineapple, cilantro, kimchi, and mango. It was AMAZING. So much spice and sweet! Love how they labeled gluten free and had GF original sauce. Only compaint is the garlic edamame was under the rest so it got your hands all dirty handling the pods. Napkins solved the problem! So delicious, will be back soon!

Eric G.

Yelp
When this poke quick service first opened it was really good. Exactly what I would expect from a poke place and they even served Dole Whip. My only wish was that they served Vanilla as the second soft serve flavor instead of the odd choice of lemon. With Vanilla you can serve a delicious Dole whip float, half-and-half, with pineapple juice. Sadly after my recent visits, twice of which I walked out before even completing an order, I can confirm this place has taken a swirl down the white porcelain bowl. The owner at some point switched from an assembly line service to build your poke bowl to a terrible computer kiosk. It's confusing, it doesn't work, you can or can't redeem rewards, and it's impersonal. I've been so frustrated with it that I've walked out twice. I live downtown so I walked away after making the effort to drive to your restaurant. Kiosks or online ordering works at places that serve burgers and fries. It doesn't work when you're building an entree with a lot of ingredient choices. While I miss dining At Pokeatery, I've moved on, and sadly you're not on my radar anymore. Something tells me that there are others like me and your sales likely reflect this fact.

Sushma S.

Yelp
Ordered the veggie standard option. Lovely flavors. I really liked pickled ginger and edamame. It did not have a lot of rice, so do BYO if you prefer that. Quick service and good quantity.

Diana S.

Yelp
This place is nice because they have screens that you order on, really limiting the in person contact. I got a kids box and still couldn't finish, so it is very value imo. You can check out the picture I took to see how big a kids box versus regular box is. The food tasted nice and fresh and the flavors were really yummy! No complaints here, solid 5/5!!

Julie Z.

Yelp
Solid poke place. Decent selection of base and fish (including scallop!), lots of sauces for mix in. The spicy crab salad side was SUPER spicy and kinda overpowered all the other flavors for me. I'm a fan of the uala chips. I read all the other reviews raving about the dole whip ice cream so I got a float to try it out. So I've never had this anywhere else and was not prepared for how sweet this was! Also it was enormous, and I was only able to finish about 10% of it.

Hong L.

Yelp
This is specifically for their Dole Whip Float. Definitely drove half an hour to get near downtown for my craving. If you've heard of Dole Whip, you probably have tried the Disneyland or Dole Plantation one. This one can satisfy your cravings in the meantime. However, I thought it wasn't as smooth or creamy as the the above mentioned places. It was more on the icier and sour side, maybe it was an off day. Yet, still as good just wishing it was more like soft serve.

Leigh P.

Yelp
It was our first time ever having Pokeatery and we ordered via UberEats. We ordered 2 large boxes and they were certainly very large and filled to the brim. My partner barely finished his and I only finished half. The citrus kale and mixed greens were fresh as were the ahi tuna, salmon, shrimp, and scallops. I got the spicy garlic edamame in my bowl and they are sooooo good. I got the Original sauce which was good but preferred the spicy mayo that my partner got. We also added avocado which costs extra $1.50, but it was like a tablespoon amount so we'll probably skip on that next time. I'm so impressed by the food and definitely will reorder or visit to try their dole whip!

Yelp
I was super excited to try a new poke place in town especially after overhearing it was a California chain. The first visit was a disappointment as it was closed although google said it was open. Parking here is very hard to find especially during lunch hours. The poke here is slightly on the higher end, around $13. Toppings are u limited, you pick two mix-ins and any four scoops of protein. I noticed that the scoops of protein and toppings are very small. Although I was excited that the scoops of seaweed salad were pretty fair with me. The choices in sauces were a good selection, I recommend the spicy mayo and spicy ponzu! I was glad to see mango and pineapple at the toppings bar but the mango wasn't sweet as it's not in season. Would I say this is the best poke spot in town? Absolutely not. After my rants about how stingy Pokehouse is on their seaweed salad, I would say they have better quality in proteins and the amount of toppings they give in proportion to protein are spot on! At Pokeatery, their protein didn't stand out in terms of flavor or maybe it was because of my choice in sauce. The two that packed a punch was the seaweed salad and crab salad. Take my advice and try out Pokehouse, you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
My first poke restaurant here in Austin and it did not disappoint! Ordering was super easy (kiosks). They have a wide selection of proteins, sides, and toppings. I made my own bowl and the portions are definitely worth the price. I love fresh fish, so I wasn't fond of the crab salad, but a great meal overall. Will be coming here again!

Yelp
This may just be my new favorite Poke place in Austin! I love the variety and amount of toppings they have at this location, and how the Poke box price includes sides and add ons. They also have pretty large portion sizes, and you can mix bases to get more bang for your buck. I usually get half salmon and half tako (octopus) for the protein with original sauce, which is pretty tasty. I've also tried the Dole whip here which was okay. It was a bit too tarte for my liking, as I was expecting something a bit sweeter and the texture wasn't creamy enough for me but it was interesting to try! Overall, this location is pretty clean and inviting and I love that they also have the option of Poke toast in addition to their bowls. Compared to Poke Poke, I think this place has better toppings and compared to Ola Poke, this place gives you more food and is a brighter/cleaner environment.

Yelp
OBSESSED! I'm beyond thrilled they're here and hope others agree! The place is clean and beautiful with a nice touch of greenery on each table. The concept is familiar for those of you who have been to places like Poke House or Chipotle. You pick your base, mix ins, sides, protein, toppings and sauce! For $12.5 this is a pretty great bang for your buck. The mix n match options on the base and protein allow you to try a lot without committing to just one thing. I had the citrus kale and mixed greens and they made for a light and flavorful base. I prefer not to eat rice but they do have it for this rice lovers out there. All of the fish was super fresh and beautiful. Loved the toppings, sauces and sides. Overall, excellent experience and this is going to be on my regular places to visit list! Oh and they have the cutest concept for miso soup. Go by there and check it out. Wishing them all the success in this crazy Poké booming city!

Yelp
This place is terrible. Frozen salmon and overpriced bowls. Really bad sides and terrible music. NOT RECOMMEND!

Yelp
I was recently in Austin on business, and I tried this poke bowl spot. I love poke bowls and have a few really great places where I'm from. This place was pretty good. I think it was a little on the expensive side, and I didn't like the fact that you had to order from a kiosk. I think people like having some human interaction with the folks that are putting your food together. But other than that it was good.

Yelp
There a far more affordable places for a poke bowl than here! It's the most convenient location for me, but I was reminded today why I would rather make the drive to Poke House up north than eat here. They up charge you for every little thing. And today there spicy tuna tasted off... Disappointing.

Yelp
I came here to grab dinner because it was in the area and I needed a healthier option. I ordered a regular size Poke Bowl with mixed greens, ahi tuna, salmon, crab salad, cucumber salad, edamame and seaweed salad with spicy ponzu sauce. I love poke and I feel like pokeatery has a great variety of choices! My poke bowl was delicious and filled up all the way. The service here is also great and everyone was super friendly! When you check in you can get a free miso soup, which you can add tofu and green onions to. The miso soup was okay considering it came from a machine, but the tofu and green onions made it a lot better. Although I did not order the dole whip this time, I've had it before and I highly recommend it!

Yelp
Just like any poke shop, you can choose everything you want! I ordered the Regular Box, which comes with rice or a salad, THREE proteins, mix-ins, toppings, and also two sides! I ordered my box with brown rice, marinated ahi tuna, salmon, and spicy tuna with the signature hot sauce and the spicy ponzu sauce. For my sides, I got the Spicy Edamame and the Spicy Crab Salad.

Yelp
Great location, fresh ingredients, rude service, she seem bothered that I came in , She seen me , she just walk off and went in the back behind the curtain and set down on a bar stool.. I was thinking to myself wow...I said hello , hello , then I waited nothing , finally put my order and pay for my order at the kiosk, then it made a little beeping sound and she then came out from the behind the curtains to prepare the order. Won't be back , rather go to the poke house !!!!' Terrible Service Beware
