I've been eating a lot of poke lately, and my friend and I stopped by since we were in the area. This place was just okay for me in comparison to other places (Poke House being my go-to). You walk in and place your order on a screen. You select your bowl size, bases, side, proteins, sauces, and toppings.
I went with a mini bowl with brown rice, crab salad, two scoops of marinated ahi, green onion, edamame, original sauce, crispy onion flakes, and I paid extra for seaweed. For the most part, the toppings are free - but seaweed and avocado are extra. For this mini bowl, I paid about $13, which is a bit pricy for the portion (I get about double this size for the same price elsewhere).
The bowl was made well, but the flavor was mediocre. The fish didn't taste as fresh or have that good marinated flavor you expect for classic ahi...it almost tasted plain. The fish was also paler than what I'm used to. It wasn't terrible, but it just wasn't a good poke bowl that I would come back for.
I also tried my friend's Dole whip for dessert, and it was okay! Overall, I don't think this would be a place I'd go out of my way for to get poke. It's not bad if you're in the area, though, and really wanting to try some!
