⭐ 2/5 — Disappointing first visit, especially for a special occasion
We came here to celebrate my brother’s birthday — we both love sushi and poke, so we were really looking forward to trying this place for the first time. Unfortunately, the experience was confusing and disappointing from the start.
When we arrived, the setup wasn’t very clear. A server takes your drink order, but you have to place your food order through a QR code… which wasn’t anywhere in sight. We ended up going to the host to ask for the menu. I was fine with ordering online, but the system didn’t let me modify my bowl, which was frustrating — especially since we were hungry.
When my poke bowl came out, the shrimp tempura was completely burned — it looked oversaturated with oil and tasted the same. They added fried plantains which was extra 3 dollars which I didn’t request but I said nothing on that and let it be. Several ingredients I requested were also missing, including cilantro, cream cheese, and flakes. I brought this up politely, and the staff was kind and accommodating, which I appreciated. However, when they returned the bowl, it still felt like a bare minimum fix. I had them add avocado and you can in the picture it was old and brown. They added a 3! tiny cilantro leaves and some flakes, but the bowl still looked and tasted off. I tried a couple of bites, but the burnt taste and lack of freshness made it hard to continue eating.
At that point, I just quietly decided this would be my first and last visit. I didn’t want to make a scene — especially on my brother’s birthday — but I left very disappointed.
