Excellent service, great price for happy hour drink during summer, yummy poke!

This is a very nice poke restaurant located in South Lake district of Pasadena. They have a variety of proteins including shrimp, octopus, imitation krab, scallops, salmon, ahi and spicy tuna. They also have multiple add ons and sauces. They also have a decent hot and cold tea selection. The place is very clean, the staff is friendly and helpful.

Good poke for a reasonable price. The staff are super nice. They gave me extra sea weed for no additional charge whereas most charge extra. However there is no large selection of toppings like most other poke places I’ve been to. I would recommend if you’re in the area and looking for a refreshing lunch.

Aside from poke bowl offerings, this place offers it in sushi triangles as well! Imagine all the goodness in a compact, to go form! They make it fresh, based on the preset combinations that you choose. The drinks are not as good as the food. If you are looking for fresh ingredients, friendly owners who make the food, you will be happy with this place!

The best poke in Pasadena for sure. Fish quality is great and I love that they have tea eggs! People complain about the lack of toppings, but I like the simplicity of this place. They do what they do well. They have many tea selections and the teas are sweetend with honey to make it more healthy.

Honestly not the best. Decided to switch it up for lunch and it just didn't taste fresh. Options are also very limited. Hoping I don't get sick after eating this.

Omg staff was super nice but mannnnn, I had never ran so fast to the bathroom after eating something. When I got there the place smelled way more fishy than other poke places. I should’ve known… all these reviews seem a little old so I’m wondering if maybe they just don’t switch the fish as often or idk… but I’m just glad I have a strong stomach and it won’t escalate to something worse. But yeah, idk what to suggest. But again, the employee was super nice.

It's a clean location with fresh seafood. Good size bowl as well. Crew was nice as well.

I ordered delivery and was really disappointed, especially with the spam rice ball. I was charged $3.99, but look at what I got... I could barely find any spam--just a few tiny pieces, maybe 3-4 micro-sized bits. Definitely not worth it!

I ordered a medium bowl (half brown rice & mix greens) which includes three scoops of protein (poke salmon, albacore, & spicy tuna) and it cost around $19 after taxes and tip. It looked like a nice size bowl, but there was hardly any rice and protein scoops were small. I agree with yelpers about portion being small compared to other poke places. The fish tasted fresh, but smelled a little fishy. I'm not sure why the bottom of the bowl was wet, maybe because I chose the marinated salmon or there wasn't enough rice. Eating wet rice was not appetizing. For the value, I would skip this poke place.

I have been craving poke bowls for the last few weeks. I saw PokeMix on Lake Ave in Pasadena and said BINGO! I was hooked. Staff was super friendly. Atmosphere was nice and comfy. Good space with lots of inside seating. Besides poke bowls, they also sell boba drinks. They have a small water station available for customers. They even sell some trinkets or something of the like. Here is how it works... bowl is one size, but the number of scoops of fishes and seafood come in 3 sizes. Small $12.99 = 2 scoops, Medium $14.99 = 3 scoops, Large $16.99 = 4 scoops. An extra scoop is $2 per scoop. Go for the Large! I did and so glad I did... it was very very tasty and delicious! I got half brown rice and half salad as my base plus Ahi Tuna, Salmon, and Scallop with all the wet and dry toppings mixed with House Poke, Eel, and Spicy Miso sauces. I thought I would take some poke home, but I couldn't stop eating it and before I knew it, it was all gone in my tummy LOL. Please note they have limited selection of fishes and toppings, but still adequate for a great poke bowl. Before I left, I was curious about their tea drinks. I ended up getting a medium Green Milk Tea with mango jelly. It was good, but a tad more bitter than I would have preferred. I asked for no ice, but still got ice. No big deal... I just scooped the ice out. I definitely recommend this place. I know I'll be back for more great tasting poke bowl!

The food and customer service were great! I liked that there were plenty of options. I ended up getting the Ahi, spicy tuna and salmon.

I've been craving poke bowl for a while now and when I saw this place, I just knew I had to give it a try, and when I tell you this place doesn't disappoint, I MEAN IT! The fish are fresh, the rice is well cooked, and not only the food but even the employees were really nice. It's also a perfect place for you to sit, relax. work, read, or do your assignments while enjoying their poke bowl. 10 out of 10 would recommend this place if you ask me anytime.

I visited PokeMIX and bought a small bowl. I often go to poke places, but this has to be some of the smallest portion sizes I have ever had. The scoops of fish are more like half scoops compared to everywhere else I've been and the cuts themselves are very small cubes. You can only pick three toppings (including things like sesame seeds and nori). I chose to get masego and you could hardly even see what they put in the bowl bc of how little it was! The fish didn't taste fishy but the marinated tuna was chewy. There was also way too much sauce, but this might have been my fault for adding sauce onto marinated fish (the sauce made a pool at the bottom). Usually I don't leave reviews (especially negative) but I was honestly shocked at the portioning and relative pricing.

I just want to say that this is the best Poke place I've ever had in my life. The rice, salmon, sauces, and veggies are all incredibly fresh. I love it so much that I've gone back every week since my first bite. I recommend everyone try it. Plus, there's a cute waitress who makes the Poke Bowls, so that's an added bonus!

This is such an adorable little place. I didn't do ANY research before stopping by here, yes, it was an impulsive poke calling. I love the adorable owners, especially the wife-- she is so anime like in the cutest way. I love their little store with a fun fishy station. The sashimi is very much what you'd expect from seeing them through the glass. The albacore does look kind of sad. But adorable owners nonetheless. The drinks are interesting. I love their choice of kids. So many options for straws and no straws.

Small portion under the new management. This place use to be really good but the quality seems to deteriorate ever since they had a new management. The portion is much smaller compared to before and service is not so friendly either. I had a medium poke bowl with salmon and scallops. The food tasted okay but I had funky stomach issues after. I'm not sure if I will go back tho

I love this place! I have not actually been to the restaurant physically... but have doordash so many times! I wanted to give a review on their service. I basically got home late after a long day at work. I did not have the engery to cook. While being distracted by my bestie's kids who(I live with my bestie) I was placing my order down to the wire. I had one minute left before the store closed at 8 p.m. Let me tell you that they conformed my order and hooked it up! This was the most stack bowl ever!!! Pokemix made my night, this was the right choice for dinner while binge watching Broad City.

I'm not one to feel the urge to write a review but man, this place disappoints. I spent 40 for two bowls that barely had any food within them. I worked a hard day and I was craving poke and this was one of the biggest let downs. I didn't want reviews saying they're very stingy effect my own view but they are right. Service is friendly and I'm sure the manager is nice but if profit is going to exceed customer satisfaction by a large margin then I will not be revisiting. There are so many other poke restaurants that are more authentic and are worth spending the money for. I'm sure this won't change as I've seen many comments stating the same.

This place is yummy for a quick bite. Also, not just limited to poke, they have smoothies and seaweed balls.

This review is long overdue. Compliments to Chef Jay for yet another amazing concept. The poke bowls are amazing, and I love how I can come by for a light snack, a full meal, or just a cup of fresh tea. After living in Hawai'i for a few years, I'm happy that PokeMIX is here to remind me to the delicious poke that I used to eat all the time on island.

The food and fish was very tasty, but the portions are very small. The portion of the rice was barely a portion and not worth the price. Other poke places you get a lot more food for your buck.

Good place to grab a quick bite. Came here on a Monday around 2. I love this place! sizing is based off of how many scoops of protein. Medium is a good size. You get to mix and match as well. Because the fish is out all the time, don't expect it to taste great like a real sushi restaurant. Salmon and tuna are best bang for your buck and the sauce does mask the fish flavor. Could be a good thing or a bad thing.

Was this the best poke I've ever had? No. Was it the worst? Also no - it was a hard OK. I opted for the small poke bowl, which included a good portion of food/toppings for the ~$11.00 spent, which, in my opinion, is a good price. They don't have too many fish choices available but have most of the basics. The fish wasn't particularly tasty - again, not the freshest, but not old/fishy. I went with spicy tuna and albacore while my friend got scallops. We found street parking relatively easily, as we swung by about an hour before they closed. The staff was a little standoffish but not rude by any means.

Found the cutest poke place in Pasadena! Was headed to my salon appointment and randomly yelped a poke place to grab a quick bite. Found this cute place and so glad I did! Ordeded the two large Love Potion drinks: strawberry, passionfruit, white peach tea, and it was so refreshing and delicious! Perfect level of sweet without any adjustment. The large size drink was $5ish which is reasonable price these days for tea. Ordered a medium size poke bowl ($14) and they gave generous amount of protein which I got all salmon and many of the toppings. Poke was very fresh and delicious! I got lucky with street parkings. Parking in Pasadena is always a challenge but if you come timely there are plenty of street parkings. Highly recommend to check out their tea options and fresh poke. They have seatings inside too. Feels very clean and comfortable inside. Fun fact: the two gentlemen that worked there I think they're owners. They're twin brothers!! Nice guys

Whoever wrote in their review that the boba here is on par with the 626 boba really did me dirty because I disagree. I ordered my go to boba drink, which is the Honey Green Tea. The green tea taste is barely there and tasted borderline watered down. The honey isn't very present either. It's what id expect from a 50% sweet honey green tea. I ordered the drink with boba. On the store menu, they offer only boba but on the UberEats app it lists honey boba as an option. I asked if their boba was honey boba, in which the employee replied yes. Well sadly, the boba was NOT marinaded with honey or if it actually was honey boba, I could barely taste it. I will say that the firmness of the boba is actually really fresh and has a great chewiness to it. I am willing to go back and try a milk tea or a fruit tea with lychee jelly though.

I was having the worst day ever at work and I needed something really tasty. I decided to come here for a poke bowl. I'd never had a custom bowl so when I came in on my lunch(feeling hectic and rushed), the cashier Josh was so helpful with advising what to eat. I got a standard bowl, with salmon and ahi tuna- also house sauce. I was parked in the15 minute area because really worried about getting a ticket, when Josh brought my bowl out to me!! That was above and beyond, and I was so grateful I accidentally said "I love you"... lol so cringe. Anyways, Josh and everyone here is great and the food is great!! The parking is difficult but it's seriously worth it!

Honestly really disappointed I usually go to poke salad bar but poke mix is closer to me so I wanted to give it a try. Overall I'm not making this review to complain but the portion sizes are a joke! I asked for an extra scoop of corn and the lady said they don't do double portions like what? LOL! Anyways poke salad bar would never they always give extra if you ask bc what is an extra scoop of corn to them.

I was excited to try this although this place after visiting Huntington garden and I was craving for poke bowl. Parking was difficult but my order came out fast. However i was disappointed as the ahi tuna did not seem to be fresh. The salmon was okay. Also no wasabi or chopsticks were included. I think these should be included without being asked. I have had much better poke bowl than this one.

This is a terrific place for drinks and poke! We have been patrons of this business for many years now. The drinks with boba are great. The poke and rice balls are always on point. Josh and his brother are always willing to accommodate requests. Thank you!

I Was in the area for lunch. I've always wanted to try poke bowls but not sure what to order or how to. Luckily, the workers were very nice, friendly and helpful. I had a lot of questions and they were very informative. I ended up ordering a bowl with spicy tuna, shrimp, tobiko (I think), rice, veggies and other stuff I can't remember. All in all, it was BOMB!!!! Price was worth it. Definitely coming back. Only downside is parking.

We got here when the store was almost closing. I thought the boba would be soggy but it wasn't. ::Food:: Step One is to pick the bowl size. A small comes with 2 scoops, medium 3 scoops, and large 4 scoops. Step Two, choose the base: rice, greens, or half and half. Step Three, pick the protein or fish topping and Step Four, pick your add-ons. You can also request for extra topping but there will be an additional charge. Poke sauce options are sweet ginger, spicy chili, sesame peanut, mango Siracha, house poke, and spicy mayo. Friendly service, but not super efficient because there are only two workers. It is definitely delicious because the food tasted fresh. I got half and half for my base and it was the salad and brown rice. They gave two proteins and all the toppings were included.

The fish is decent and portion size was good for us at this place. The selection of toppings isn't too large, but its good for what they have. The staff was nice and prompt though a bit reserved, perhaps because of the language barrier. This is a reliable place for poke if you ever want it in the area, but I wouldn't make a trip out of it.

Poke was decently fresh but portions look bigger than what they give. I got a small bowl but there was hardly any rice under the fish. I very much enjoyed the flavor of their spicy mayo and house sauce. I got a green tea milk boba and it was whatever. Overall I give this place and average score.

I was pretty disappointed. I ordered a poke bowl and a drink called the Good Kitty (lychee apple green tea). Although the fish in my poke bowl was fresh and the portion size was decent, my poke bowl was ruined because the rice was mushy/overcooked, and too warm for my liking. However, I did enjoy the Good Kitty (lychee apple green tea). I could taste the green tea flavor and they have other unique flavor combinations as well. The service was slow when I went during lunch time. Two customers even left the line from waiting too long. There were only two staff members working behind the counter. I would think that because they were understaffed, they would work more efficiently to serve the people in line especially during rush hour but that wasn't the case.

The ingredients are fresh! Fair prices for big portions. The place was clean and spacious. And the owner is super nice! I will definitely go back!

We got a poke bowl (not pictured) and the baked salmon roll (pictured). The food was delicious. I didn't give it 5 stars because our food took 3 hours to get to us, when grub hub said it would take 35-45 minutes. Every time we called the restaurant they said our food was getting prepared, and that they're sorry they're backed up. If they just told us how long it would take then I'd give them 5 stars but the delivery service / lying to us about the wait time (3 hours vs 45 min) deserves at least a star knock off. FYI - We called grub hub and they said the restaurant has its own drivers, so the issue was on them, not grub hub. If you're ordering in person or on a not busy time, then it can be a 5 star restaurant.

Very solid poke place on Lake that's also a boba shop. I've been coming here for a while now and the food has always been pretty solid. I think the sauces could be on the light side so I make up for that by combing 3-4 sauces when I order. The service here is great. Our questions are answered and the server was very helpful. We also tried the rice ball but in my opinion it was on the blend side and pretty rice-y for a $4 rice ball. All in all I'm glad to have a solid poke place on Lake!

I made my own bowl and got something really bizarre in return. My bowl was filled with pickled ginger and imitation crab (both of which I did not ask for). It was literally filled with so much ginger I spent most of the time picking it out instead of eating. There was more imitation crab than the proteins I paid for. The salmon tasted old and fishy, it was gross... I'm not exactly sure why this bowl was 17 dollars.

FOOD: To be honest, this place was pretty overpriced for the portion that they give. I do understand that this place is in Pasadena, however, so I guess it's not really their fault. I ordered a small bowl with salmon and tuna. The salmon and tuna were already seasoned (which I personally did not like), because it's hard to tell how fresh the fish is. I liked all their ingredients though! Very fresh. And the rice was steaming hot. It was so hot the worker asked me if it was okay if she put lettuce at the bottom of my bowl - I don't mind at all! The rice also was perfect - not too hard or mushy like some other places. DRINKS: I was able to try a drink, but their drinks do seem pretty good! Don't forget to ask about their secret menu too if you're planning to get a drink!

I was craving poke and saw this across the street. When inside this small venue where they sell poke and what looked like a boba shop. Very, very, very limited selection!! $13 for medium bowl (3 protien scoops). FYI their imitation crab meat is is considered a protien!! Most poke store have imitation crab meat for FREE as a side topping! Take a look at my photos... my bowl is not even full. I'm disappointed!! I want a refund. Also, they don't mix the fish with the sauce, just drizzle it on top. My original go-to poke shop weighs out their protien so everything I get the same amount. This place just scoops it and definitely looks less than it should be. Overpriced!

I decided to park a little bit further out because I did not want to deal with the street parking or the parking lot that they supposedly have in the back, and so had walked here. For the poke: Step 1: Pick your size $8.99 (2 scoops) Medium $10.49 (3 scoops) Large $12.29 (4 scoops) Step 2: Pick your base! Rice Greens Half/half Step 3: Your fish Shrimp Crab Salmon Ahi Tuna Spicy tuna Blue crab Step 4: Add ons. Veggies + sauce Seaweed salad, cucumber, corn, masago, ginger, egg ($1 extra) Sauce: House poke Spicy mayo Spicy chili Mango Sriracha Sesame Peanut Sweet Ginger I went for the small poke size with the half half of rice/greens. For once I got the small size mwhaha. I got the salmon and the ahi tuna and went for all the veggies minus the ginger. I went for the house poke that was drenched inside and got the spicy mayo on the side. After returning to work, I looked at the food and the fish was kinda a bit off on the colour. Everything else looked delicious though. The egg was really good, having the yolk being not cooked completely but not exactly running either. That was worth the extra $1. The fish was just decent here. The house poke didn't really do all that much :/ Wasn't strong at all or all too great. The spicy mayo would have probably been the sauce with all the flavor but it didn't really exhibit the spicy flavor. :/ Whyyyyyy. Their veggie add ons, the rest are pretty good :) I do wish that I had come and tried one of their teas but I had other Yelp bookmarks to tend to! Something different, not as many selections. Kinda sad :/ aw.

Review just for the drinks! I used to frequent Flour + Tea a lot but since being back in the area, I went to the new location once. I used to get their almond chrysanthemum tea which is DELICIOUS. I noticed the menu on the board for drinks is smaller now, but on request they still had it. I highly recommend trying it. It's still a good study spot with WiFi and a big table with barstools. There was a lot of space on a weekday. Bathroom needs a key available behind register.

The portion and overall taste were alright. They got all the basic choices for fish and toppings. I wished the sauce had been more flavorful since I had the house sauce and my bowl tasted totally plain (or they were just skimmy on the sauce). The fish was fairly fresh on that day, which is the primary thing I care about my poke bowl so here's a 5 star review.

Got my doordash order & everything was horrible. Do they make Thai tea with water instead of milk? Also, everything tasted old! On top of that, they didn't even fill up all the way! I legit got all salad and when I received it, I want to say I counted 7 leaves!!!!! Wtf ?

This location has been on my list to try for the selection of poke due to the price point and reviews that are found here on Yelp! I got the small bowl with half white rice and salad, spicy tuna, and salmon which was really filling! The best thing about this place is the service that is provided and the portion sizes that they give. I'm not too sure if they use MSG in their ingredients, but I would definitely return to this location to get poke!

Great little Poke place for the flour & tea guys. You can grab a fresh bowl of poke here as well as a variety of Asian teas. Poke topping are really fresh here with premium ahi as well as the standard plus spicy tiny, salmon and shrimp. A little less than most poke places but they have the most popular items and rotate one seafood/fish item in regularly as a special. Choice of white or brown rice base as well as mixed greens or a half & half. No fried wonton skins (nachos) or noodles base yet. Limited amount of toppings for your fish as well but all the good stuff masago, wakame salad, etc so enough to satisfy. Nice selection of Poke Balls as well for a quick snack (onigiri). Great teas as well! Located in the base of the 99 South Lake office building. They also have LA Bite service or call ahead to have your order ready. Few exterior seats and nice quaint interior seating.

This is a hidden gem. Fish is always fresh, poke bowls come in great portions, and the guys who run this place are the sweetest.
