Google
PokeWorks Riverside Austin did a great job on lunch for our office today! Food is super fresh & delicious and everything was included in the order + labeled, all greatly appreciated. Excellent, highly recommend!

Google
This is by far my favorite place to eat since moving here to Austin. I eat here at least twice a week. I consider myself a very picky eater, and so far, I’ve yet to try something here I don’t like. Staff is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and very helpful when I’m undecided in trying something new. The place is always super clean which I love as well. I recommend getting the app, too! It really helps with the rewards.

Google
I ordered UberEats from here. I did the build your own poke bowl with 2 proteins. I asked for a regular and a spicy protein. Neither came spicy, which literally changed the flavor of my dish. I tried calling to inform them and no answer after 4 calls. Hmm. Guess ill be seeking a new Poke place.

Google
I love how the whole place is always sparkling clean and makes you want to eat here. Today I decided to try the bang bang chicken and everything is definitely fresh and delicious. On the other hand, the staff always brings a smile to my face. I definitely recommend it.

Google
Worth-it tier: A. I’ve ordered takeout here 10 times/month for 6 months. Fresh fish, tons of topping selection, and a nice option to torch the fish. The best poke place near downtown Austin. I’ve tried 3 other places. It’s a close competition to be fair, but this place is #1.

Google
Pokeworks did an excellent job with lunch for our office again today! Fresh & delicious and ready on time - love!

Google
I tried to order food from their website but was unfamiliar with their sauces and if they are vegan or dairy free. I called and spoke to a very young woman that informed me everything they serve is vegan. EVERYTHING. Which I know to be absolutely false. I tried to inquire further to make sure because I am allergic to dairy & eggs. The young woman became incredibly frustrated and hung up on me. When I tried to call back no one answered for the next hour and I eventually gave up.

Google
I ordered the Poke Bowl with 3 proteins. I got the salmon, chili crisp shrimp, and lobster surimi with all my favorite toppings. This is easily the best Poke I've ever had. Everything was so fresh and the portions are very generous. It is well worth the price in my opinion. I also got the mago pudding and it was so delicious! I am delighted to have found Pokeworks and plan to order from here again soon.

Yelp
Fresh and delicious option for a quick meal! The staff are always friendly and very knowledgeable about allergies, they have gluten free options, and a good variety of menu items. Order ahead is always super quick, but in the event that you order your food there the line moves quickly.

Yelp
Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Great price for what you get! Many toppings to choose from that you don't see often or ever at other poke shops including lotus root, tamago, kale noodle, orange slices. I appreciate that they asked how much sauce the customer wants.

Yelp
There aren't many places to get a solid sushirrito out in Texas, but Pokeworks is holding it down with an excellent jumbo sushi roll that always hits. Just get it with tofu and ALL of the plant-based toppings and it's a marvelous, messy, overloaded flavor bomb that satisfies any cravings. In case you need more specific instructions, that means: *Tofu (and some locations still have beet poke as a "protein" option; ask about it!) *Cucumber *Sweet onion *Cabbage *Shredded kale *Edamame *Sweet corn *Pineapple *Hijiki *Mandarin oranges *Cilantro *Serrano peppers *Seaweed salad *Pickled ginger *Green onion *Wasabi *Furikake *Thai chili *Sesame seeds *Avocado (extra but worth it) *Wonton crisps *Shredded nori *Onion crisps *Garlic crisps *Your choice of miso sesame sauce, ponzu fresh, sweet shoyu, umami shoyu, gochujang, or classic salt Yeah, that's a mouthful and a half. Now you get the picture. Of course, you can get that all in a bowl over rice or salad for a less chaotic meal. Don't forget to download the app to save $5 on your first order, too!

Yelp
I love this spot as a quick, casual, and reliable spot for a poke bowl. Although it's a chain, the fish always tastes fresh and everything is always clean. You go through a line where you can choose what you'd like the server to add to your bowl. They pretty much have free unlimited toppings, and there are very few you have to pay for (like avocado). The serving portions are also large. I can eat two meals with one medium bowl, so that's a great deal. They have an app where you can also get rewards and $5 off your first purchase with the app! The service is always really quick, and the employees are all helpful. It's never super packed inside, and you can usually find a table to sit at if you want to dine in. There is also lots of free parking as it's located in a plaza. I'd recommend it as a cheap, good value poke spot. Overall rating: 9/10

Yelp
Loooove this place! So great and delicious for a quick bite to either order inside or on the app. I usually prefer to order on the app and I like it because you can just select all the toppings without being rushed in line. Not that I'm usually rushed inside, but indecisive and take forever ha you also earn rewards with each purchase. Today I went inside for a 2 protein bowl with brown rice, spicy ahi tuna and salmon. Plus tons of toppings with lots of spicyness! The best!
google avatar

Yelp
Love poke! All the ingredients look good. Customized my own bowl and got 3 proteins: ahi tuna, salmon, and lobster. You get to pick the sauce that the protein is coated in and I chose Ponzu Citrus. It is too salty for me but I enjoyed eating the bowl with the sweet tamago (egg!) and seaweed salad. The portion is generous! The lid can't even cover the bowl. I dined in for a little bit and took the rest to-go.

Yelp
My go-to poke place! The portions are big which is relatively rare for poke. I can probably split my bowl into two decent meals (or down a whole bowl in one sitting and I would be STUFFED). The portions and the quality really stand out. There's a ton of toppings to choose from and the poke is quite good. The store itself is also HUGE. I haven't dined in (yet!) but there's ample seating and the lighting is great. Another huge reason I will be loyal to Pokeworks is their app. I didn't realize it was a chain, but thank goodness it is! I have only had the app for ~3 weeks and I have gotten multiple deals. I'm glad for all the deals because the reward system is spend $99 for $9 off which isn't fantastic. But I went on a day they had double points when spending a minimum of $15 so I ordered two bowls and bam had earned almost $60 in points. Maybe the $9 off $99 isn't too bad when put into perspective like that. Since they have an app, you can also order through it which is convenient and I have used it on one occasion. Very smooth and my order was accurate. Maybe just not as full of a bowl as when I went in person. Lastly, the service wasn't anything amazing. I'm not too picky on service hence why this is still a 5 star review. No one greeted us when we walked in and we awkwardly stood at the start of the line while someone prepared bowls in front of us that were mobile orders. A second server came up after and I awkwardly started my order. I'm awkward myself so I don't dwell on that too much but it's something to note if it's important to you.

Yelp
I've ordered from Pokeworks about 3-4 times, all delivery. What I like about this place is: the expansive toppings offering with no charge, the choices in your bases and the ability to split them, the sauce selection, the protein selection, and how you can customize how light, medium, heavy you want the flavor. I also love that they don't automatically upcharge you for seaweed salad or crab salad. Every time I've ordered it's been fresh and tasted well and assembled nicely. My one main issue is protein versus price. Each time I've ordered, the amount of actual fish has varied greatly, probably due to whoever is making it. This last time I got ahi and salmon, and I counted about 7 little chunks of ahi and not much more salmon. With tax and tip a medium bowl is running you almost $20, and the reason we buy bowls is for the fish- so making sure the portion sizes are adequate and the staff is consistent would be great. That being said, will order again!

Chasity K.

Yelp
We wanted to use the rest of our DoorDash credits. We got 2 poke bowls. Not sure if we were wrong to order 30-45 minutes before closing but we still placed an order... they gave us a free spam musubi. However, both bowls had hair in it.
google avatar

Angela M.

Yelp
I got the app and just ordered beforehand, got $5 off my first order. I like the large amount of selections here and how you can customize your bowl. I got a large amount of things that I like for under $11. I also think it's cool they can torch your proteins if you'd like.

Yelp
This was random stop after a workout and it became probably one of my top 5 places to get Poke in Austin. To start off, this place is INSANE value. I paid roughly around $13 for a MOUNTAIN of poke & toppings. This was also the first poke place where the employee asked me if the base or topping was enough and if I wanted more which completely threw me by surprise (and this was free of charge too)! I got the build your own bowl with half & half, salad and brown ice with one scoop of spicy tuna and regular salmon. I had everything mixed together with the Umami Shoyu and their version of Spicy Mayo. Things that I liked: 1) Fish was super fresh. I like how the spicy tuna was diced and mixed with sauce and not the squishy kind that you normally find at other places. 2) They ask how much sauce you want (light, medium, heavy) which may seem like such a simple ask but this is the first poke shop that I've been to that truly customizes to this detail!! 3) Very interesting toppings, large variety. They had the classic toppings like seaweed salad, crab meat, masago that you would find in most poke places BUT they also have tamago egg, mandarin orange, and mini tofu slices as toppings too! I thought that they were pretty nice additions and enjoyed them a lot. The interior of this location is very nice! Super open, lots of sunlight, very modern and it's a great spot for brunch with friends. The only reason why it is not a 5 star mainly has to do with minor app & price discrepancy. Currently, they're running a promo where you can get $5 off your purchase if you download their rewards app. My friends and I went through the whole process but we couldn't find the code even after verifying & filling out all of our info. We asked the employee and they said that sometimes it won't pop up until the 2nd purchase or sometimes the first purchase depending on your luck. At this point, we had already spent like 10+ minutes trying to order through the app and figure out the code and just decided to order in person. Then midway through the line, we got our coupon but we couldn't use it since you had to order online. Biggest feedback would be to just be more clear about the registration & coupon process, based on the employee's response, it seems that it has been a recurring problem. There's also a minor price difference, if you order masago on the app, it'll give you an additional charge but not if you order in person. Tip for the $5: Download it at home & give it like a 10-15 minute for your coupon code to pop up! I'll definitely come back to this place and try out their torched poke option!!
google avatar

Ana K S.

Yelp
This is such amazing poke! I recommend getting half salad and half rice to make your bowl extra refreshing. I love that this location torches your tuna for free, it definitely elevates your meal. 10/10 would recommend. Pro tip: download their app to get a $5 discount on your order. You might want to unsubscribe from their texts though haha, they do send stuff out quite often but their rewards program is worth the initial spam.
google avatar

Varun P.

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic - the poke bowls and garlic spam musubi are tasty and the staff are all very friendly. Service is always prompt and timely. I usually walk to get a pick-up order from here; the Pokeworks app is decent and I get lots of free bowls of poke for all the rewards I get. Great location, keep it up!
google avatar

Don S.

Yelp
Love this place! Always fresh fish and ingredients to go with it! The burritos are my fav! Not overloaded with rice! Order on their app and get deals here and there! Pickup parking sucks, but it is worth it! Wish they could open one in Georgetown area! Hell maybe I will!!
google avatar

Novalina N.

Yelp
I've only got my food from Uber Eats delivery, but I'm surprised by the great ingredients and how delicious my bowl is! I just went to Hawaii a few months ago and was skeptical what kind of poke bowl I could get in Austin. I love the wide variety of toppings Pokeworks has, including Thai chili peppers that give my bowl the extra spiciness kick that I love. The crispy rice balls also give a nice a really nice texture. The large bowl isn't cheap for lunch standard, but I still consider it a good deal considering the high quality of ingredients they have.
google avatar

Mira C.

Yelp
Dry rice, not enough sauce given, skimped on the fish. Truly disappointing. Try Poke Austin instead.
google avatar

Sarah M.

Yelp
was given the last scrapings of salmon, they were soft and literally tasted old. i stopped eating it halfway through because i thought i was gonna get food poisoning and decided it wasn't worth it. also was charged over $15 for a single protein bowl with no additions and online for the same order it's $13.95... rice was old, cucumbers were squishy. place has good reviews but from someone who loves poke and knows good quality this place really disappointed.
google avatar

Leigh P.

Yelp
Ordered via DoorDash from their north location. The regular portion is generous and they didn't skimp out on the fish (I got ahi tuna and salmon) and tastes great. I've had poke burritos from other places where the rice is like 40% of the burrito, so I am very happy with Pokeworks! The mango dessert was also delicious, kind of flan-y with fresh mangoes and syrup on top. The spam musubi was alright. I've never had it before so I ordered out of curiosity. It was just a thin slice of pan-fried spam on a large block of plain white rice. Not horrible but now I know what spam musubi is like.

Yelp
Make it easy on yourself, and choose a signature bowl! I ordered the Spicy Ahi Tuna bowl which comes with sweet onion, edamame, sriracha aioli, masago, green onions, sesame seeds, onion crisps, and shredded nori. I loved how well portioned out the protein to rice ratio was, as it allowed the maximum flavor to really make this dish savory.
google avatar

Karson S.

Yelp
Pokeworks is my go-to quick meal since I live very close. I typically am able to walk in and order immediately. Pokeworks will let you order one of their curated bowls or will allow you to make your own with whatever you want at a (almost) flat rate - main exclusion is adding avocado. The food is solid - I'm not going to say it's going to win awards (we have some VERY fresh fish places here in Austin), but it IS good. And the toppings are also very flavorful. I personally really like the Ahi Tuna Bowl and add Crab Salad, Seaweed Salad, and umami sauce (you can chose light, medium, or heavy amount of sauce). For a quick, good priced, pretty healthy poke option, PokeBowls is my top recommendation!

Pete S.

Yelp
Overall the flavor and service are good. Sometimes the flavor swings one way or another making it either very good or not-bad depending. Still a great place
google avatar

Jennifer L.

Yelp
By far the best poke place I've ever been to! A lot of poke places can be short with their portions but Pokeworks gives you the perfect amount where you'll be satisfied at the end of your meal. This is one of the only poke places I eat now because it never disappoints. Every time I come here, I make my own bowl. I highly recommend the kale noodles base because they're so tasty and a good alternative to rice. I love how there are so many toppings to choose from because I'm obsessed with toppings when it comes to poke bowls. I love adding in the clementine segments because it adds a subtle sweetness to your bowl. Also, I always finish off my bowl with some lotus chips because it adds a nice crunch!

Ariel O.

Yelp
Food is good but please stop automatically assuming we want a large bowl. This creates an unexpected up charge at the register when we did not upsize to a large bowl. This has happened multiple times of us going in person. Food is great so we always come back but servers automatically give us the large portion.
google avatar

Daniel D.

Yelp
Oh man I really wanted to give this place 5 stars but there was one glaring issue with the food. Let's start with the good and I'll get to the bad. The good: A plethora of customization options, my favorite was the tamago (egg) that isn't found at other poke places, the sauce was also delicious, and the portions were pretty generous for the price. The bad: I'm not sure if I came here on a bad day but the texture of the spicy tuna was very off. The best comparison I have is that it's a playdoh consistency. The salmon was fine but the tuna was very strange. I'll come back again and change my rating if quality control is improved.
google avatar

Kaitlin O.

Yelp
I thought I didn't like raw fish and only came to Pokeworks because of my friends. However, I was converted to liking poke and I'm glad that Pokeworks was my intro to the world of poke:) I really enjoyed the variety of proteins and toppings that they had and that you can really fill your bowl for a decent price. I got the shrimp and spicy tuna and thought the fish tasted fresh (from my limited experience). Sweet chili gochujang was also really good, especially if you enjoy spicy and want a kick to your bowl. If you download their rewards app and create an account, you can get $5 off your first order!
google avatar

Mohammed A.

Yelp
The food is good and I have been here few times, I like it. But the service is nonexistent and staff are inconsiderate. While I was in line there was 3 people standing there chatting in Spanish and looking towards me and towards other customers, it made me uncomfortable but what made me worse is that they kept chatting for at least a minute before one of them asked me what I wanted to order. The vibe is just one where they want to get you through the line with the least effort and care. I asked for sour cream which is extra and got less than a little spoon so I had to ask for more and sure enough she charged me twice. For a $19 bowl maybe just a bit of service please.
google avatar

Alex Z.

Yelp
One of my favorite poke places in Austin. Like most poke places, they allow you to customize your bowl with ingredients that you like. Not only is the food very fresh, the portions are great for the price. Normally I am still hungry after eating a portion of poke, but this was enough to leave me satisfied and full. Can't wait to come back whenever I am craving poke again!
google avatar

Parker N.

Yelp
this place used to be great! owners worked in store, they were Smiley, and had quality bowls. this is the last time I show up to pokeworks sadly. the photo speaks for Itself... this is embarrassing . ownership- please address this :( your spot could be awesome if you straighten up staff to be more polite and attentive
google avatar

Megan L.

Yelp
My new favorite poke place! It just so happens that Pokeworks is across the street from one of the best boba shops in Austin, and poke + bubble tea is a great combination... There are a ton of Pokeworks in NYC, but this new location in Austin is far superior than the ones up north. I love that many of the toppings that would normally be considered "premium toppings" are free, so you can fill up your bowl without an additional cost. Their fish seems pretty fresh, and they have unique toppings like tamago egg. I highly recommend! I will frequent Pokeworks as my to-go poke place.
google avatar

Dan C.

Yelp
Everything's gonna be po-kay... Delivered on several occasions, each an amalgamation of fresh and well-seasoned ingredients in poke bowl form have made for an enjoyable overall experience -- that's simultaneously different and delicious each time -- had me hook, line, and sinker. Like with many other purveyors of poke, variations are anything but short in supply, so choose your own adventure or go with some of the default options and save the decision making for whether to go with a fork or chopsticks. Preparation and presentation is tidy and pleasing to the eyes. Supplement with some familiar and comforting favorites -- Spam Musubi and a Hawaiian soft drink. Both very nice touches on the menu that tug at the heartstrings of the Hawaiian islands. A nice addition to Austin for an occasional guilt-free meal -- that's mostly healthy and satisfying at the same time.
google avatar

Damaris C.

Yelp
This is by far my favorite Poke place in Austin! Believe me, I have tried all! What I love about this place is that the Poke is ALWAYS fresh! They also have a variety of toppings you can pick from. The reason why I gave it a four star review is because the prices have gone up exponentially. Also because they took away the option of only buying a bowl with one protein. I typically don't eat a lot and having to pay extra for protein that I'm not going to eat is a bit ridiculous. Overall, the taste and toppings are unbeatable! Please bring back the small bowl!
google avatar

Ajay J.

Yelp
Great food and great service. Anytime I go in there I get my same meal and it comes out perfect each time. The staff is really nice and the food tastes fresh. I go back as often as I can!
google avatar

Brindisi C.

Yelp
By far the best poke I've had! Austin has a LOT of poke restaurants, and this is the only one we go to. They don't charge extra for madago, the crab salad or seaweed! The portions are generous and I love using the new app. They have terrible drink options, so bring your own or just grab water. I love the spicy tuna and salmon build your own rice bowl with Pokeworks classic sauce!
google avatar

Vy T.

Yelp
The food is pretty good, fish, rice, and veggies all taste fresh. The crunchy toppings are a bit stale though. There's one bone that I have to pick with Pokeworks is that they don't follow order instructions very well. The few times that I ordered delivery from here, I never got my order exactly how I selected. Sometimes there are toppings missing and other times they'd put the sauce in when I requested it on the side. Nothing day-ruining, but would be nice if they paid attention to the instructions a little bit better in the future.

Sarah L.

Yelp
Good food that was filling, fast, and tasty. Service was fine, nothing to complain or celebrate about.
google avatar

Veronica Y.

Yelp
Very tasty! One of the things that makes this place stand out from the other poke places is that the they have highly customizable bowls and-- if you want -- poke burritos. Love the many many options of mix-ins and toppings. Fish quality is on par with most of the other poke places in Austin. Haven't tried the burrito yet but the bowl made me pretty happy. Ordered through Postmates and it made it through very well. Slight nitpick: wouldn't have minded a bit more fish in my bowl (or less rice..the ratio was just a bit off)

Kelli H.

Yelp
We were from out of town and ordered delivery. I got a salad bowl with torched tofu. It was phenomenal. If I lived in this area, it would definitely be a go to restaurant for me.

Anais B.

Yelp
I love Pokeworks! There is a variety of options that are fresh and delicious! The staff are efficient, and for the price you pay, you are getting high quality food! This has become one of my favorite Poke restaurants!
google avatar

Shradha A.

Yelp
I feel poke is so personal - toppings to rice ratio, how much sauce and flavors you want, pickled veggies compared to fresh ones... I liked my vegan bowl here, though next time I'll customize my own. Though it's not my favorite poke so far, it's quite darn good.

Jose F.

Yelp
I had eat there many times, was always good, but the last 2 times I had diarrhea, very upset stomach, so maybe it's me or something in that food, I always get same type of bowl with the same sides, last night I choose not put cabbage, but still got sick
google avatar

Conway X.

Yelp
Yummy yummy in my tummy This is probably the best bowl of poke I've ever had. The fish were fresh and flavorful, the kale noodles were savory and filling, and the toppings were A+. Would definitely come back again to get poke.
google avatar

Rebecca E.

Yelp
Would never eat here again based on the rude AF staff. Should've listened to the recent reviews about the rude staff but decided to check it out anyway. From the improperly worn mask to the attitude when I asked questions. Just overall a bad experience and the business shouldn't want this type of staff representing its company. The spicy tuna and spicy salmon both tasted old, the fixings were limited and they give about teaspoon for each. For $36 I could've ate somewhere a lot better. This feels like a food poisoning in the making based on the food the bowls that I ate.
google avatar

Jose O.

Yelp
Just had lunch here for the first time and I was not disappointed at all. The staff was really nice, the dining area was clean, and all social distancing rules were being followed. I had the build your own bowl with spicy ahi tuna, cilantro, pineapple, serrano peppers, and Thai chilies. This bowl was fresh and had an awesome mix of sweet and spicy. I opted for the large size, which featured two scoops of tuna, and it was a perfect portion. The cherry on top (almost literally) was the Berry Patch drink made of cherries, pomegranate, and apple cider vinegar.
google avatar

Xia B.

Yelp
I really love how decorative and tasty the spicy furikake seasoning was, but did you have to salt the cubes of Ahi Tuna and Salmon in my bowl? You only gave me about 2-3 Tablespoons worth of the good stuff (salmon and tuna), why salt it? Still, I enjoyed the furikake over my white rice. May not order again for the added salt factor.
google avatar

Emily V.

Yelp
Best poke I have tried in Austin! The amount of food you get and the quality/taste is outstanding and you won't regret grabbing lunch here!
google avatar

Mac M.

Yelp
I'm not sure why there are so many negative comments, but my food was fresh and delicious. Service was great. Prices are fair...everything has gone up these days.
google avatar

Chenée J.

Yelp
Hands down best Poke Place in Austin! The fish is always fresh and you get to add all your desired toppings and add ons. The staff is patient and kind. Oh and the restaurant is kept clean and accommodating. We have been there a couple of times and it the best in the area.

Mark C.

Yelp
Yeah this place hits the spot. Hi, I'm Mark the reviewer and this is my review for Pokeworks. I got the two protein poke for $12 which got reduced to $7 after using the app. Definitely my favorite poke place in Austin now. I might be a sucker for the crunchy toppings but this place has plenty of the crunchy options. The lotus leaf was something I've never seen before but it added to crunchiness. My two proteins were salmon and spicy tuna. My sauces was sweet chili gochujang and siracha aioli. Not going to lie, I got so many toppings and sauces that everything sort of blended together but that's not pokeworks fault. I can't speak too much about the incisional tastes since I got so many toppings but it blended very well together and no particular topping ruined the vibe of the dish. For toppings, I always recommend surimi salad and seaweed salad since they add so much diverse tastes to the meal. The fish itself was as fresh as poke can get in Texas in my opinion. Poke overall is just very good because of how refreshing and healthy it tastes compared to other meals you can get. One of my friends is vegan and she found this place enjoyable as well.

Yelp
Omg. The app charged me twice. I came in to pick up my order on July 18th and let the cashier know that I was charged incorrectly on the app. She said she'll refund the money and that I could go. I checked my credit card a few days ago (so it's been a few weeks) and both of the charges are still there. I figured it's no big deal and decided to call to let the manager know. On a Friday, I called once I saw the charges and the person I chatted with said - he'd fix it and that *I* should call back and make sure its refunded. So the next day, Saturday, I call back and the front desk say they can't help me and give me a refund but will take my contact information and someone will give me a call. It's Monday and I have heard nothing from PokeWorks about giving me a refund for food that I wasn't suppose to be charged for. I don't know what to do at this point. I asked 3-4 times for a refund and keep being sent on wild goose chase. This place has the worst customer service.

Yelp
I'm very particular about my poké. A hint of fishy smell and I'm out. I've had Pokéworks delivered twice via GrubHub and both times have been a great experience. I usually get a custom bowl with two meats. Sometimes, they are out of hamachi but both the tuna and salmon are high quality. The Pokéworks classic sauce is great but I may venture into the spicy versions next time. I also highly recommend adding the garlic crisps for a little change in texture that tastes delightful. Probably only one complaint. If you're not a fan of ginger, sometimes they can be a little heavy on it so maybe ask them to tone it back or order without. For dessert, I recommend the Coco Mango Haupia. Tasty mango sweetness with coconut creaminess. A satisfying and refreshing way to end a meal.
