Lookout Rooftop Igloos Close for the Season on April 16 - Eater Boston

"Growing national poke chain Pokéworks opened its second Boston-area location a month ago in Harvard Square (1440 Massachusetts Ave., Cambridge) and tomorrow, April 14, that location is hosting a grand opening celebration where customers can get two poke bowls (or other menu items) for the price of one. The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. tomorrow, and the buy-one-get-one-free offer is available menu-wide for the entire day." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal

Google
I love Pokeworks and I always go to the one in Watertown, but this specific location always fails to impress me. Staff is a bunch of rude teenagers who literally don’t know nor do they care about what they’re doing. My order got all messed up, the portions were extremely disappointing, I wasn’t even offered a bag when it was clearly a to-go order and the music was BLASTING off the speakers. I honestly won’t come to this location at all. Edit: I’m posting the pictures of my not-even-half-full bowl that I paid almost 20 dollars for. Ridiculous.

Google
I love the poke bowl. I added a bit of everything and that was so delicious. There are some seats where you can sit and enjoy food. But the napkins were so hard to take out and tear apart when I pulled out. The staff are friendly but a bit slow.

Google
Oct 2024: The food portions were reasonable, but the miso soup was overly salty and served in a cup that was only half full. For the price, the meal felt underwhelming—perhaps I ordered the wrong dish. While the experience was decent, it didn’t leave a lasting impression. Once was enough for me.

Google
The inside was so cute, I got the lava bowl with extra spicy condiments and it really lived up to the name! I love spicy food and if you do too definitely get this!

Mandrean Ioana

Google
Ordered two sides of Mac salad, received two plain cold noodles instead. I am speechless. This isn’t even an actual side on their menu, so someone had to go out of their way to pack and send this. It’s not even a mistake, it’s intentional at this point.

Google
One of the most consistent poke experiences in the city. Many poke restaurants in Boston appear to follow a similar trend. Initially, when they open, they draw in crowds with enticing deals and generous portions. However, after a few months, there's a noticeable shift – portions begin to shrink, and concurrently, there's a discernible decline in quality. After years of extensive search for a reliable poke spot in Boston, I've finally settled on this Pokeworks location in Harvard Square. My go-to topping combination consists of salmon, tuna, seaweed salad, ginger, crab salad, soft tofu, and wonton crisps. I especially like the diced soft tofu as it introduces an additional layer of delicate textures that complement the raw fish quite well. It also subtly mellows the overall flavor profile and makes the bowl more wholesome. Pokeworks in Harvard Square may not hold the title for the absolute best poke bowl in the city, but it has proven to be more reliable than other spots with fluctuating standards. If you’re looking for a reliable and enjoyable meal, I recommend giving them a try.

Google
When we got there was late at night and there was only one person at this place and she was talking on the phone… and took like a minute to help us. We ordered a Hawaiian Aji Tuna regular size and felt kind of disappointment on the plate. The flavor was just barely acceptable. The combination of rice and poke was about right for a college town. The place was not clean at the time, maybe because she was alone. There were no napkins and she had to refill it. The tuna fish was just acceptable but it was not cold enough.

Google
I used to love this place, but the portion size for its poke bowls has gone down so much over the past year that I now find it hard to justify spending $16.25 pre-tax on a 2-protein bowl without any add-ons. Poke City up Mass Ave would give me so much more for cheaper. Waikiki is a solid alternative, too. Pick Pokeworks only if you're in a rush, since it's conveniently located right by a red line stop. Overall a really mid experience, though.

Yelp
Food is really overpriced considering the portions. The service was good though, Gio was very friendly and accommodating. Would come again but on rare occasion due to the pricing

Yelp
The serving is small and expensive. I had the mahi bowl which was 16.00.I found that expensive for the size of the serving. There is always the option to choose the items desired and make your own bowl. I went with a bowl on the menu. My mistake for no looking at the price before I ordered. The ingredients to the meal were fresh. The quality was good but it should be for the price. The restaurant has limited seating although it is new and well lit. If that is what you are looking for, this is the place.

Yelp
have had pokeworks and it was pretty good however, after today's visit in Cambridge (where the fish wasn't fresh or safe to eat) will not be returning. Miso soup was good though.

Yelp
I think that the price for the bowls are kind of overpriced for what they are (this bowl was $16) but it had like only a few pieces of the salmon and ahi tuna and like 4 pieces of corn. They also didn't put my dressing on the side (it was already mixed in), so it was a little difficult to eat as it felt greasy/too saucy. I also chomped on this hard brown piece (I thought it was the onion crisp but I think it might've been the stem of the mango maybe?). Overall it was like a 6/10 and I was hungry. It is also super convenient in Harvard Square near my work place. The service was not the best as they had a lot of attitude but I was on my way out so it didn't bother me as much. I'm giving it a 3/5 stars because this was my third time getting it and it was just mid in taste and price. I go but I was super hungry. It does pump out the food fast so if you're in a hurry this is a good place to place your order and dip! The place has a few spots to sit and chill and it's pretty clean too.

Tessa N.

Yelp
My poor boyfriend ordered online again tonight. Ordered and paid for extra sauce. After his long commute in the subway home we find not only do we not have extra sauce, we have (ONCE AGAIN) ****ZERO**** sauce. Some things never change apparently! WHF is the Harvard square pokeworks doing with all the sauce? Is there some secret sauce shortage they are trying to cover up? Also.. take a look at the GREYEST dead body looking tuna you ever did see. *into the trash it goes*
google avatar

Yelp
This place was okay if you wanted to stay close by after your class at Harvard. It is very close to other food stores and gift shops in a busy area near the school. I have had so much better poke in California... The toppings here were abundant as they should be. However, it only tastes good when eaten right when you buy it. I made the mistake of not being able to finish and then when I put it into the fridge, the next day the sushi rice was hardened as rocks. Obviously, you can't reheat it cause the fish and toppings is supposed to be cold. I got a build my own regular bowl salmon and it was $16.
google avatar

Jenny T.

Yelp
Strongly recommend getting a sushi burrito. I asked for one with "everything in it" and it was delicious. They're so fun! However, I recommend eating one right away. I kept mine in the fridge to eat it the next day and it did not really stay well. The rice became wet, the seaweed became soggy, the toppings weren't that good etc. This was a really fun option though and you definitely get a good amount of stuff packed into the burrito. Harvard location is fun because there's lots of outdoor seating, tables, chairs, parks etc. but I would recommend ordering in advance.
google avatar

Lilly c.

Yelp
I had the "Spicy Ahi" bowl, which was definitely delicious, filling, fresh, and was made fast... but for the price I paid I would've expected a larger size. Although I enjoyed this spot, I can't say I'll ever be back as it's not efficient for the student budget. ($17.85 for one regular bowl)
google avatar

Lina Z.

Yelp
I have been a customer here for years and while the food is still good, the portions have massively decreased. Be prepared to pay $17 for next to no fish in your bowl.

Declan C.

Yelp
At Pokework, the staff were very kind and the food was good. Definitely would recommend!

Yelp
Oh my gosh, can't believe I never wrote a review for Pokeworks even though I've eaten here a ton of times!! Pokeworks is one of my go-to poke chains because they have kale noodles!!! Which probably are not as healthy as zucchini noodles, but super delicious and go so well with my tuna and salmon! Similar to other spots, you can add all the toppings you want, but you'll pay extra for a second portion of any of them. Which can feel annoying because I feel like they never put enough seaweed salad on my bowl the first time around. But the topping options are plentiful and delicious, the fish is good, and I've always felt extremely full after finishing my bowl. Can be a bit of a wait during peak time, service isn't the greatest. But poke bowls in Harvard Square, yay!
google avatar

Andy D.

Yelp
Cheap on the proteins and not fresh. Got the Salmon and Ahi Tuna. Never had a poke with this small pieces before .
google avatar

Hannah L.

Yelp
Oh boy, I don't know if they had an off day or what, but the poke I got was NOT good. The fish was tough and chewy, not at all what you'd expect from poke. It felt like there was some tough film on it that they didn't trim off. The parts that were softer were mushy and looked like they had been torn apart. Not sure what's happening here.
google avatar

Yelp
A good location of a good chain. I ordered a custom poke bowl (pictures) Pros: lots of variety! I had a delicious bowl for dinner with a beautiful amount of spice and heat and tang and sweet and smooth and crunchy. I left feeling very happy and satisfied. You can have a poke bowl or a burrito of it. A very on-par serving of protein. Cons: even though there weren't a lot of customers, the service was pretty slow. With three bowls ahead of me, I ended up missing my bus (I had scheduled 10 mins to order and walk 100 feet). Some may view this as an area for improvement. However I was not in a rush and was able to enjoy my dinner at their counter. I'd totally come to this location again! (With a little more time budgeted :) )

Jacqueline M.

Yelp
I use to love Pokeworks. But now they skimp on everything. You can add a lot of ingredients but they are cut everything so small and give so little of it, you can't even taste anything anymore. And they barely gave me any dressing! Sadly, not worth it anymore.
google avatar

Andres D.

Yelp
Very much your standard new trendy poke restaurant. You will be served assembly line style and get to choose every part of your bowl (base, protein, topics, sauce, etc). There are also some pre designed options for the indecisive. The cost is high for takeout but reasonable (or even low) when it comes to raw fish. Basically expect somewhere between $15-20 for your bowl or sushi burrito. Service is always quick and kind. There's limited indoor seating but usually tables available just outside.

Yelp
What happened here? Pokeworks used to be a pretty solid place with consistent quality and portions. The last time I came, however, I was turned off by my experience and am not sure if I will return. Upon entering, I see an employee scooping out freshly cooked rice onto the prep counter. She tells me to give her a couple minutes, which is fine, but I can also see her discreetly chewing while talking to me. I thought it was gum, slightly unprofessional but whatever. Not a huge deal. I end up ordering my bowl, and the seaweed salad was out, but another server said he can go get some more. He quickly turns around and grabs something from a metal bowl with his gloved hand plops a small handful of seaweed salad into my bowl. This didn't look like a batch container from the fridge, nor did I appreciate him not using some kind of serving utensil. I took my food to go to eat outside and now I realized why the girl was chewing. She was tasting to see if the rice was cooked. I can't believe she still served the rice after tasting because the rice was extremely undercooked and hard to the point where it stuck to my teeth. Sorry, I don't think I'm coming back.
google avatar

Victoria T.

Yelp
service at this location is VERY slow. I came at a not busy time, around 3:30pm, and I still waited around 20 minutes. Portion sizes depends on who makes it, but I think the prices went up since I last came to Pokeworks. It was around $17 now, for the large, which to me is too expensive. Overall I liked the poke itself, but this is not the best location.
google avatar

F. L.

Yelp
It's a chain, it's efficient, it's exactly what you'd expect. A bit expensive, but hey, decent-quality raw fish costs money and a Harvard Square location probably costs even more. Tofu had a very nice flavor, as did seaweed salad, though the inclusion of avocado was a bit weird. Honestly unremarkable, it is what it is.
google avatar

Iris S.

Yelp
Pretty unimpressed with this pokeworks. Service was extremely slow around the lunch hour (severely understaffed, they're doing the best they can). I got a poke rice bowl with tuna and salmon. The rice was really not cooked well, the scoops of protein were so measly, and the staff have clearly been instructed to give as little of each topping as possible. Will not be returning.

Yelp
How you Poke at Pokeworks: Choose: 2 proteins or 3? Choose a base POKÉ BOWL kale noodle, sushi rice, organic brown rice, or quinoa POKÉ BURRITO sushi rice & roasted seaweed wrap POKÉ SALAD fresh romaine and spring mix Pick your protein Ahi Tuna Albacore Tuna Organic Tofu Salmon Scallops Shrimp Chicken Add mix-ins Blanched Kale Chopped Shiso Cilantro Cucumber Diced Mango Edamame Fresh Jalapeno Hijiki Seaweed Ogo Seaweed Orange Slice Sweet Onion Choose a flavor Pokeworks Classic Umami Shoyu Ponzu Fresh Sriracha Aioli Wasabi Aioli Spicy Ginger Sweet Chili Gochujang Classic Salt Add the toppings Avocado Surimi Salad Green Onion Masago Pickled Ginger & Wasabi Seaweed Salad Sesame Seeds Spicy Furikake Wasabi Tobiko Choose your crunch Garlic Crisps Lotus Chips Macadamia Nuts Onion Crisps Shredded Nori Toasted Rice Puffs Wonton Crisps My creation: A 2 protein poke burrito ($12.85 small build your own with two proteins) with sushi rice and roasted seaweed wrap, scallops and shrimp, Blanched Kale and Edamame, Umami Shoyu (light/on the side), Surimi Salad and Green Onion and Masago and Seaweed Salad. I wish they'd better describe the sauces online. I did however find a descriptive sign in the store: Pokeworks Classic - ginger sesame vinaigrette Umami Shoyu - honey bonito infused soy Sriracha Aioli - cream & spicy Ponzu Fresh - citrus infused soy Wasabi Aioli - creamy Japanese mustard Spicy Ginger - sweet spicy chili lime Sweet Chili Gochujang - Korean style gochujang Classic Salt - simply Hawaiian salt, roasted sesame oil, chili flakes It took a while to get my food because they were making the sushi (white) rice. They also weren't very good at informing folks in line so that instead of just pausing, those who were okay with the alternative bases could go ahead and get their orders filled in the meantime. The scallop looked slippery and raw to me, but I was informed that it (as was the shrimp) was cooked. I didn't quite enjoy the texture, so I'll probably just double up on the shrimp next time. The roll as a whole was good though, and sufficiently filling. And I enjoyed the lotus chips which I sampled. Limited counter seating to the right. Bathroom in the back.

Yelp
If you wanna know what works in terms of what to eat for dinner if you're not too hungry, not too poor, and wanna be healthy... then Poke Works! This is actually a mega poke chain that you can find all over the country - oh sorry man - I just accidentally walked in on a really tall ginger kid in the restroom of Tea Leaf Cafe - but anyway honestly I don't like these chains but apparently Boston really does because look at the reviews! I guess they're cheap for Boston prices although around the country it's pretty mid-priced in most cities. Their poke is pretty standard and not bad - I'm not going to give them an awful rating but for such a big corporation and considering some of their practices I'm surprised that people are so into them.
google avatar

Sarah H.

Yelp
One of my go-to places for poke bowls! I love how many options they have to add, including all sorts of veggies, toppings, sauces. The food always tastes fresh and delicious. I really love the kale noodles, which is why I always come back to this place. Ordering from the app/online is the best way to go imo so you can slowly pick out exactly what you want in your order and you can just go pick it up (instead of waiting in line). The service here is mostly good, but I have encountered a few times where the employees were kind of rude to me or service was super slow.
google avatar

Whine Snob L.

Yelp
I have now ordered from here twice for delivery and received only half of my order. The first time this happened, the store outright refused to make the second half of the order and didn't issue the correct refund for the missing half. The second time this happened, the store simply refused to issue any refund at all. With so many poke places in the neighborhood which actually fulfill orders, why bother wasting time and money here? You might end up paying $100 to get only one bowl.
google avatar

Lauren L.

Yelp
Super convenient location located at Harvard Square. I got a bunch of Snackpass promotions which discounted my total from $17 to $7 which was fantastic. Great atmosphere and kind workers. However, the salmon protein was more like a smoked salmon. The other sides that I ordered were good however, something about the salmon freshness was just not right and I didn't end up finishing it. I didn't end up having food poisoning or anything wrong, but I would probably never go again.
google avatar

Stephanie R.

Yelp
Went here on a whim as we were passing through. Big mistake! Rudest people ever. I was spoken to like I was an idiot. I suppose the spoiled young workers behind the counter treat all adults with disdain. Rude rude rude!!! If you don't want to treat your customers with common courtesy and respect you probably don't deserve to have the job!!! Yelled at for asking for my selection. Not an excuse me but "WHAT?!" Charged $24.50 for a poke bowl for constant up charges that were not listed on the menu. Are you kidding me!!! In retrospect I should have walked out. Unfortunately I was hungry and didn't want to deal. I've have poke bowls all over the country and have never never been charged that ridiculous price and have never been spoken down to to blatantly. Do yourself a favor and don't give them the opportunity to treat you like garbage.
google avatar

Bernice T.

Yelp
I went for the healthier option and it tasted good. Exactly what I expected and wanted. Will definitely be back
google avatar

Maria G.

Yelp
I love pokeworks! I love it so much that I used to wait in line for one hour on a regular basis when it first established in midtown New York. And what is better than waiting for one hour? No (or minimal) wait at all in Cambridge! The signage is clear, and you will be able to spot it as you wander around Harvard Square easily. Upon entering, you will be drawn to its beautiful display of toppings, sauce, and proteins. What is even better? They have limited seating available. Whoa! Just like any Pokeworks, you could choose from a set menu or build your own bowl. I decided to build my bowl (regular size). I always love it how you can go for unlimited (as long as it fits in the container) topping selections. So many choices! Why not have it all? The staff here is friendly and efficient. Just make sure you study the menu before your visit, so you don't hold up the line here, https://www.pokeworks.com/menu/ Will be back again in no time!
google avatar

Carolyn G.

Yelp
I love this place! Pokeworks is my favorite restaurant in Harvard Square. It's always reliable to order through Snackpass. Even going in-person to order takeout is relatively smooth and straightforward. The order in my picture is 2 scoops of salmon on sushi rice. The toppings are: cucumber, sweet onion, diced mango, corn, crab salad, green onion, shredded nori. I got the sweet chili gochujang sauce, which isn't too spicy by Asian standards but is very authentic and tastes great. I mixed it a tad bit before taking this picture. The one thing I wish they did was have more topping and sauce options. Compared to some poke stores in the Bay Area, Pokeworks has fewer of my favorite options for toppings and sauces. Overall though, the taste is great, the price is pretty average for poke, and the serving size for regular is good for me. Sometimes I cant finish it as a small woman but other times when I'm hungry it's perfect.
google avatar

Tuli S.

Yelp
I've been coming here more over the last few weeks because the location is more convenient than Yoki Express (my fave). The unlimited toppings are awesome. Also, they are actually good! They aren't super stingy so I get more fish here :). I usually make my own bowl rice bowl with 2 scoops of salmon. I'm a fan of the spicy siracha sauce but they go a little heavy even on the "medium" pour. It's small and the service is a little off sometimes. If you're a newbie they aren't patient. I had to order 3 bowls for two friends and they RUSHED me so much that they missed a few ingredients. That wasn't great but all my other visits have been fine. Way better than loveartsushi! They give you the teeniest tiniest bit of fish for the same price .
google avatar

Songyi W.

Yelp
Customizable bowl of fresh ahi tuna and salmon, rice, mixed greens, dress of your choice, topped with seaweed salad, orange segments, mango chucks, garlic crunch, lotus chips and more - all for $11! Happy to see Pokéworks open at Harvard Square adding more options for a healthy and quick meal for a good price! The store is very small and there was a 10-people line when I went around 6:30 pm on Sunday. However, the line moved pretty fast and we were able to find seatings as most people ordered to go. I wished that they had more fish options - they currently only have salmon, tuna, shrimp, and scallops - adding yellow tail, crab, salmon roe, and octopus would be nice! Customer service could be improved at well - associates serving the food were efficient but not too friendly. It's still a relatively new store hope it will be even better next time I visit :)

Cole R.

Yelp
Not sure what my girlfriend and I did, but the second we walked in the door it was on lol. Both women working were very rude and dismissive. They weren't even passive aggressive. Just aggressive. Poke was very fine. We could just be soft... Eat elsewhere unless you like being degraded . Do with this review what you will. We won't be coming back.
google avatar

Erin K.

Yelp
Food I've tried: - I've tried this location twice, and each time I got massively sick. Not sure what the reason is, but both times this was the only food I had throughout the day so I am 100% certain it was due to food. The questionable quality of the fish aside, the rice is simply not good. It is overcooked and the consistency is very mushy. Considering the rice is the only thing that this restaurant cooks, and rice is such an integral part of poke I am not sure how someone can mess this up. Both times I have returned the rice was subpar. I have not visited any other Pokeworks location so I am unsure if this is a branch specific problem or if this is an issue with the entire chain. Atmosphere: - Very limited seating on the bar stool area. Primarily for takeout. Service: - Pretty standard service. - Ordering is assembly line style, where you customize what you want in the bowl. Overall: - Try at your own risk ... - Price is comparable to an average poke place

Yelp
I'm so disappointed with this place!!!! Wanted to try this place because I'm not from around here and it was recommended on doordash so I doordashed 2 bowls and 2 Desserts. They messed up both bowls I ordered and forgot the desserts I ordered!!! I understand that it was 30 minutes before closing and the workers were probably trying to rush out the orders and go home but they seriously need to check the stuff they pack. Management seriously needs to put these workers in check!

Chengguang S.

Yelp
Very delicious. I went to Harvard University in 2019 and was hungry at noon. I came in for dinner. Porky rice was super delicious and not expensive.

Jamie M.

Yelp
best food and even better customer service at the Pokeworks in Cambridge, MA Harvard Square- foods always fresh and ready to go, staff always serve with a smile!!

Alissa R.

Yelp
Overflowing trash cans, sticky surfaces to eat on, loud explicit music on the speakers, and staff who could barely be bothered to get up from their seats behind the counter to serve customers? I'm so glad I chose to spend money here!
google avatar

Andrew B.

Yelp
Employee indicated we should use computers to order, then took a subsequent customer's order while we were using the computers. Afterward, one of the two computers refused to take payment then froze. Also note the Serrano aioli has cilantro in it but the computer doesn't indicate this. And there are fruit flies, I killed a few in my 5 minutes of not getting food before leaving. Other pokeworks are good, stay away from this one.

Lou N.

Yelp
Great food served quickly, Serrano peppers had serious kick Will be back soon. Recommend.
google avatar

Mel G.

Yelp
I am trying to find other options for my "healthier fast food" times. Chipotle is another one on that list, and I've been meaning to try Pokeworks for quite some time. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and I had the spicy ahi bowl, which was a good intro to Pokeworks. I think the next time I'm in, now that I am a bit more familiar with their proteins, base, and sauce--I will likely customize my order to include more of the things I particularly like. But glad to add it my rotation of "healthier fast food"!
google avatar

Grace Y.

Yelp
I don't like poke, but I like scallops and shrimp so I got a bowl on Snackpass with that. You can add as many toppings as you want, but I heard that they give you less of each topping if you go for a lot of different toppings. I got ginger, seaweed, mango chunks, and some other stuff. Overall it was really good and a lot of food. I would come back.
google avatar

Maria M.

Yelp
Always great to grab a healthy and quick bite. Like all their bowls. You can be creative while you order yours. Right in middle of Harvard square. Good price for a healthy option. Service is good.
google avatar

Sera C.

Yelp
This place is A-OK. I eat a lot of poke and found this to be so so. The poke options are pretty limited if you are actually looking for fishy options. They have salmon, tuna, spicy tuna, and then things like chicken (??), tofu, etc. The fish was OK... not the freshest ,and oddly cut into strips (not chunks, which I am used to at poke places). The service was OK and they serve coca cola products. Limited indoor seating; there is seating outside as well. Served in a pinch but not going to be the best poke of your life.
google avatar

Christine J.

Yelp
Having had many mediocre Poke bowls, I wasn't eager to try this place until a year after it opened. To my surprise, it was the best Poke Bowl I've had! I got the spicy tuna bowl yet still were able to customize everything that went into it, add other toppings, the options were endless! So many delicious toppings: lotus crisps, hijiki, tobiko, seaweed, etc drooling as I type this.. many options I haven't seen in other poke places. Including the green bean noodles (i think it was..) YUM My bowl was so full at the end. Will be back often :)

Arion C.

Yelp
I have never left a review before. However, this poke gave me food poisoning so be warned.

Yelp
This place is conveniently located in the center of Harvard Square and is a perfect place to grab a quick meal, whether you want to sit down and eat or take it to-go! You can choose between a Poké Bowl, Poké Burrito (Rice/nori sushi wrap), Poké Salad, and Poké Noodle (kale noodles). For the Poké Bowls (which was what I got), they offer two sizes - Regular and Large - with your choice of Sushi Rice, Organic Brown Rice, or Quinoa (+$1) and 2 proteins (for Reg. size) and various toppings. Some of the protein options they had were Salmon, Spicy Salmon, Ahi Tuna, Albacore Tuna, Scallops, Shrimp, Chicken, and Tofu. I got brown rice/spring mix, spicy salmon and shrimp mixed with the Pokéworks Classic sauce, and got edamame, diced mangoes, sweet onion, pickled ginger, green onion, furikake, and shredded nori. I tried Poké before and honestly was not a huge fan of it, but the Poké Bowl I got was actually quite good. I'm not a huge fan of raw fish so I liked that you don't taste a whole lot of raw fish. Also, they ask you how much sauce you want (light/medium/heavy) soyou're able to balance out the flavors. I'm interested in trying the kale noodles next time and would recommend this place to first-timers trying Poké or any returners looking for an affordable and convenient place to eat in Harvard Square.

Yelp
I think at this point, I've decided that Pokeworks is my favorite fast casual chain. After going to the Seattle location a bajillion times, I decided to come here after seeing it in Cambridge. The poke here is exceptional as per usual, and they were very generous on the serving sizes. I got a poke bowl with 2 scoops of salmon, and it was more than enough to fill me up. I also really like how this place gives you unlimited toppings. I filled my bowl with cucumbers, oranges, mangoes, and kale. You can choose from a list of 8 or 9 different sauces, and my favorite is always the fresh ponzu. There's also unlimited toppings! You can get as many as you want (besides the avocado, that costs extra). I ended up getting masago, tofu, and a bunch of crunchy stuff on top, like the crunchy onions and the shredded seaweed. One really cool thing here was the lotus chips. The chips are made out of lotus roots, and it is fried in house. It's crunchy and tastes like a less salty potato chip! I'd definitely recommend that, it was very good. This place was a bit pricier than the Seattle one, ($12 for a small instead of $10) but it was still very delicious. It definitely satisfied my craving for good poke, and I definitely recommend this place!

Yelp
Great poke bowl place. The sauces are delicious. My favorite Umami sauce or the sriracha aioli. I do the make your own bowl so I can choose all my mix-ins. I've been to a couple of poke bowl places. I think it really depends how much you personally like their sauces and mix-ins as to how much you'll like each place. I like the more Japanese inspired mix-ins, like the lotus chips. I also like when they have shredded cabbage as an option and his place offers that.

Yelp
I love Pokeworks!! This Pokeworks location is a bit on the pricier side (almost $12 for 2 scoops of fish and almost $15 for 3 scoops). 3 scoops almost certainly isn't worth it, so stick with 2 scoops. They were extremely generous with my scoops of fish (salmon and spicy salmon); I was VERY happy about that. Ha! He! He! My favorite thing about this place is that they have a huge selection of toppings and you can get as many as you want with no extra charge (with the exception of 2 or 3 special toppings). I always load up my bowl and end up pretty full. You can also get the app for lots of good deals, too! The location is pretty small, so seating is limited. You should definitely come here, though, as all of the ingredients taste great and you'll get lots of food!
