"With one in seemingly every neighborhood of the city, poke restaurants are in large supply these days. But this California chain might just be the best of the bunch thanks to its depth of unique ingredients, such as scallops, albacore tuna, seaweed, wasabi tobiko, lotus chips, and more. The possible combinations are immeasurable so patrons can prevent lunch from getting stale by enjoying a different poke bowl, salad, or burrito each visit." - Jeffy Mai

As a poke bowl was simply the combination of raw fish and fresh vegetables, the ingredients and the sauce play the key roles to the quality of the food. And in Pokework, everything was quite fresh and nice. The way the customers can freely use their creativity to make a the poke was brilliant. A bowl of all ingredient with the cubes of tender salmon and ponzu sauce was fantastic. Service was quick and friendly.

This place was amazing! Loved every bite of it. My wife had the poke burrito and I had the hawaiian classic bowl. Both they were able to pack their ingredients to the brim! Definitely coming back here again!!

Super friendly staff. The food is really tasty, and you can make a lot of combinations depending upon what you like, perfect for a hot summer day.I cannot eat soy so the staff made sure to accommodate all my needs. I could eat a bowl of my choice and eliminate everything I was allergic to.

This is the best poke joint I've been to in the Loop. When the enter, the restaurant is sparkling clean and has a nice modern interior. The line also moves quickly even when it's fairly crowded, and I've always seen tables available. The fish always tastes very fresh and the sauce is delicious. They also have a few difference condiments you can add to your bowl: sriracha, sesame oil, and soy sauce. These are all available to grab yourself near the door, and there are even a bunch of little cups and lids to put them in, which is great for taking the food to go. While I've never gotten it, there are also some good sounding beverages on tap, including flavored teas with no sugar added. Lastly, and I know it sounds silly, but their to-go bags are really beautiful. I always feel bad throwing them out!

Pokeworks This was my first time trying Poke after hearing about it for a few years and wanting to experience it. Pokeworks gave me a delicious introduction to this raw fish cuisine that resembles a Hawaiian burrito bowl. A base layer of sticky rice covered the bottom of the bowl followed by almost everything you can think of. The crisp veggies, fried toppings, tangy sauce, spicy components, refreshing ginger, and chewy, fatty pieces of fish came together excellently for a delightful meal. If there was one complaint (and the only reason this gets a 4 out of 5) is because the amount of tuna/spicy salmon I got was not much at all. There were probably 4-5 pieces of small cubes of tuna and a few slices of salmon. Maybe that is the standard amount given since I know it is expensive.

I was very impressed with Pokeworks - a fair price for a burrito stuffed to the brim with fresh fish and yummy sauce. I would definitely go back (would love to try other combinations) - wish we had something like this in Arkansas!

Recent addition to area. Came here for dinner. Not a lot of dining in space so took it across the street to milinium park. Fish was fresh and the large bowl with sushi rice base was filling.

I went here for the grand opening. It was the best poke bowl I've had in the Midwest. There's not alot of poke shops in Chicago, so I'm very grateful that this is close to my office. Pricing is very reasonable for the amount they give you. The quality of the fish and the toppings are bar none. I hate it when poke shops gives you 80% rice, but there's no need to worry here. They give you a generous amount of fish/toppings. A well balanced and healthy meal! Will definitely come back again!
