"Customers at Poki DC go through a five-step process to design their bowls, choosing everything from crunch factor to toppings. Sauces like sweet strawberry and bases like zucchini noodles make for more unconventional options. All the choices also means it’s easy for orders to get out of hand." - Missy Frederick, Travis Mitchell

I honestly don’t know how Poke could ever be bad, but they seem to do it especially well at Poki DC! Some rather unusual protein options in a Spicy Tuna 🐟 mix and Squid 🦑 Salad (one of my personal favorites) along with tons of dressing options really set them apart. Staff was friendly and environment was clean and comfortable. I will be a return customer!

This place is great! Plenty of toppings and options. I got the sushi rice and double ahi tuna. Topped it with cucumber, seaweed, crab meat, and spicy ponzu. I will definitely go back.

Choose whatever you want to eat, only certain items like avocado need to add extra money, the person who works there is very nice, just remember not to add soy source if you already pick seaweed others it will become very salty!

Really 3.5, but I'm feeling kind. It is okay but not as good as the other poke place in the Penn Quarter area. I like that there is more seaweed to choose from. The chunks of veggies are chunkier than the other poke place. The fish doesn't seem marinaded and the crab salad is a little different. Good enough for lunch to go. UPDATE: I began going to them more when treking to the other poki/poke place was too much of a hassle. I now like them more. It could be some small changes since my review last year. If you want more masago, just ask, and they'll give you more of that or pineapple if you want without the extra up charge. Within reason. They have marinaded fish. Their sauces are more like salad dressings, thick. The extras you can put on are also different and better, like bonito flakes.

This really hit the spot! I was craving for sushi and my friend recommended this place. The worker explained all the options I could get: your choice of between sushi and brown rice, then you choose between adding zucchini noodles or some leaf greens, then you choose 2 or 3 proteins that they have (i.e. marinated tuna, tuna, salmon, marinated salmon, squid salad, etc.), Then unlimited amount of toppings (i.e. carrots, ginger, seaweed salad, etc.) and finally a choice of a variety of sauces! After you pay, there's a small bar to add more toppings like fish flakes, roasted seseme seeds, roasted garlic roasted onions, seaweed, and rice puffs 100% would recommend and go back!!

It is the Chipotle of the sushi world. Sauce and combination was perfect. I can't wait until the on in Northern Virginia opens!

Almost missed this place because it’s nestled in the corner, beside current building construction. Love how you can customize your dish. Other poke places I’ve been to you have to choose only 3 side ingredients. I wish Poki DC had a 1 meat option. At the moment they only have 2/3 options. They give you crunches on the side and free small cups of water. I liked the portions and would recommend this restaurant.
