Google
This is the best meal I’ve ordered in a very long time. Everything was very fresh a very tasty. 10/10 . About to be my new obsession.

Ann G

Google
This was my first time trying out their poke bowl and it was just perfect! Ordered a squid salad and shrimp bowl with eel sauce - loved it. They have many options for the toppings and sauces. For those of you who are not a big fan of seafood, they have a chicken option too. 10/10 recommend

Kari J.

Google
Busy little shop. A bit confusing because it was lumped in with a tea place. Food was fast and tasty. Reasonably prices compared to other similar places. We grabbed a couple bowls and took them to go because it was crowded. All ingredients tasted fresh and flavorful. Would go again if in town.

Jessica M.

Google
Pretty good quick stop poke place with a lot of options and variety, including gluten-free friendly options. The ingredients were flavorful and fresh. Price for the amount is alright but it was filling. Note that sauce will come already mixed in unless you say otherwise.

Mimi El A.

Google
Great spot next to bunch or Hotels in the area to grab a quick bite. The poke was really good, fresh and staff is friendly. Gave 4 stars for atmosphere as they didn’t have the AC on when we visited. I would recommended it.

Rommel M.

Google
Whatever diet you're on, I'm pretty sure this place can satisfy your taste buds. For all my Keto/Low-Carb friends, they have Zucchini noodles as a base so you can finally get your fix of good portion Poke without rice! It's a nice little Hawaiian poke spot with friendly staff, good portions, great price, and tasty selections.

Crystal Naomi C.

Google
I've been eyeing this place for a few weeks and finally tried it. I was greeted with smiles and a pleasant attitude from staff. It's just about a going rate for lunch around here to spend $20, but the portion was generous (I had to push to get that last bite in). The food was fresh and delicious...a new favorite in my lunch rotation!

Augusto C.

Google
Favorite Poki place by far. Flavors and variety are on point, they offer zucchini noodles for base, and they offer free mochi or mise soup with a check-in with another ratings app that starts with Y and ends with p. Super fast and friendly service is also a constant across all their locations.

Yelp
a very average, not poisonous poke bowl - poke is one of those foods that can be really really bad. Like when you take one of those bites of fish and you're like oh God, I'm gonna be spending tomorrow in a very unpleasant state..... - luckily the fish here tasted fresh, and there were no repercussions. the spicy tuna was not very spicy, but had a great texture and the regular tuna was super buttery. the cook shrimp was a good portion - I love how you can add as many toppings as you would like for free. Also, the price difference between two proteins and three proteins is quite small. - they just put the sauces on top, which makes it for only a few flavorful bites. the vegetables all tasted relatively the same, no flavors were very strong. nothing special - the zucchini noodles are unique and fun but when you get spring mix as the base they put in like a few leaves and the bowl barely even fills the container... the bowl did not look like the photos on their instagram.

Yelp
This is my favorite poke spot in the city. The shop is small, established mainly for takeout to nearby offices, but the service is efficient and quick. The bowls are generously sized, with portions that are both filling and satisfying. I like that they have marinated fish options--unlike many places that just add sauce when you order, the marinated fish here makes the bowl for me. The ingredients are consistently fresh, from the fish to the toppings, which makes a big difference in quality. My only wish is that they were open on weekends.
google avatar

Angela K.

Yelp
Solid poke place. I came here to pick up a quick lunch and was in and out in less than 5 min. The raw salmon tasted fresh and the spicy tuna was flavorful. You can choose as many toppings as you want from a wide selection of choices. Price wise, it was on the more expensive side. Overall, it was a great lunch.
google avatar

Jamie J.

Yelp
My team and i picked up lunch from here. It was excellent - they use very fresh ingredients and there is such a variety to choose from. As an octopus fan, i was glad to see it apart of the offerings.
google avatar

Rachel B.

Yelp
I had a better experience at Poki DC this time! I felt like the ingredients were fresher. The salmon is still way better than the tuna here in my opinion. Next time I may opt for two scoops of marinated salmon. I love the sauces. I always get the spicy ponzu and honey wasabi.
google avatar

Yelp
Grateful Poki DC is back! I come here at least once a week for lunch on the days I'm physically in the office, and always order my go-to: spring mix, double salmon, and a variety of toppings including hikiji seaweed, crabmeat salad, masago, cilantro, etc. So many choices for dressing sauce, but my favorite is toasted sesame. I love how easy and quick it is to order exactly the bowl you want. If there's a line, it moves fast. I find the portions to be generous for what I expect for a lunch bowl. Friendly staff, too. There's a small number of high-top seating available inside (no outdoor seating), but it's easier to pickup/takeout. Heard they'll be adding donburi soon. Yay! Thanks for sticking around, Poki DC!
google avatar

David L.

Yelp
Fresh, tasty, friendly. What else could you ask for? Making it a regular lunch carryout.

Mara S.

Yelp
I am most definitely a regular at poki DC. LOVE their selection of toppings (way better than Abunai), and the fish is quite tasty. Everything tastes very fresh and I'm appreciative of the fact that I can get rice AND veggies. I come whenever I forget to bring lunch to work - it's our office go-to. Always a lunch rush at about noon TWTh but it goes pretty fast. They always give me huge portions of ginger when I ask for extra and if you load up on toppings it can end up being a lot of food. A little pricey at about 16-19$ per bowl but it's usually pretty worth it to have such a filling, tasty, healthy option. Just had a mediocre lunch elsewhere and wishing I went here instead. Yum! Just be warned - if you get their hot meat items, it can take a bit of time for your food to get ready.
google avatar

Andrew M.

Yelp
Really good Poke bowl in DC! Their marinated tuna and salmon with garlic bits are something else YUMMMMM
google avatar

Sara Z.

Yelp
This was a really solid poke bowl. My go-to order is half brown rice and quinoa and half greens. I did two proteins - salmon and spicy tuna. Both were fresh and tasty, but the scoops are small even though the employee did fill them up as far as possible. I was really impressed with their toppings. I think I did carrots, cucumber, edamame, tobiko, pickled radish, and seaweed salad. They also have fruit like mango and pineapple which is fun and different. Then I did the sriracha mayo and ponzu sauces and sesame seeds. Overall, DELICIOUS and very filling, but I still wish there was more bang for the buck. It would be nice if there was more protein in each scoop because it felt that my meal was mainly the toppings which were delicious but I came for the fish, not them.
google avatar

Yumi M.

Yelp
I hadn't come to the DC location in a while. Today I dropped by and oh my goodness. The amount of food you give is HALF of what they give you in Rockville/North Bethesda location! When I used to come here back in 2018, they were very generous with their portions. Now it feels like they're rationing the protein. Will no longer be coming to this location. If you can, AVOID this location and go to the Rockville/North Bethesda location!!
google avatar

Em N.

Yelp
This place is next to work and it's a great fast stop for my poke cravings! I got the marinated salmon and the shrimp. But we're good. I've also gotten the marinated tuna that's smashed up and I don't like the texture but some people do. The toppings are good and the zucchini swirls are a good diet choice!

M S.

Yelp
Quick service, easy ordering, and delicious lunch place. Feels too small to dine-in, so I always take out. My favorite is half and half with two proteins (brown rice and zucchini noodles, topped by salmon and marinated salmon). Love the fact I can add as many toppings as I want!
google avatar

Rita W.

Yelp
Post-topping bar that is self serve - Roasted Seaweed, Bonito Fish Flakes, Onion Crisps, Rice Puffs, Sesame Seeds, Garlic Crisps. Win right there. Tongs of roasted seaweed that I can control the amount to put in my bowl = oh yes. Seaweed FTW. I stopped by Poki DC for lunch one day, and will definitely return. The bowl I tried contained the following - Zucchini Noodles (haven't seen this at a poke place before, so I tried it). Very good, and it went well with the other toppings. They also have rice, brown rice, and spring mix. Protein - salmon. Just salmon. Double salmon. You get to pick between $11.50 for 2 choices protein, $13.50 for 3 choices of protein, $2.00 for Extra Scoop. I got the $11.50 one and just got salmon twice. Yum. Toppings - masago, mango, pineapple, seaweed salad, other seaweed, picked radish. Sauce - tried the spicy ponzu by recommendation. Post toppings - what a nice surprise. I opened my bowl and got a couple tongs full of the roasted seaweed. My bowl tasted really good, but the sauce didn't really mix in too well, as some of it was very soupy and ended on the bottom of the bowl. I suppose the rice or spring mix will hold the sauce a bit more, but I'd definitely come back to have a few more bowls.
google avatar

Andrew P.

Yelp
This place is freakin' delicious. With the ability to have brown rice & quinoa as a base, I always leave super full and super satisfied. For $11.50, you can get not one, but TWO proteins added to your bowl. I've had pretty much all the meats and fish (tuna, salmon, chicken, shrimp) in their cooked and raw varieties... and I have not had something I dislike yet! They have tofu as an option for the vegetarians and vegans too! One of my favorite things to add to the bowl is mango --- both the chunks and the sauce. Other options include seaweed, avocado, radishes, ginger, even tangerines! After you pay, there's a self-serve station for some extra toppings such as fish flakes, rice puffs and sesame seeds. It's truly an epic experience building your bowl, and the combinations are endless! As if this isn't enough, they currently have a promotion going on that gets you free mochi when you check-in. I don't know how long it'll last, but it's epic regardless and it's the cherry on top. While I usually don't like paying more than $10 for lunch, this place is definitely worth it and I recommend anyone to swing by.
google avatar

An A.

Yelp
My favorite poke place in DC. During lunchtime, they are always so generous with their scoops that I find the regular 2 scoop protein optional enough. I always get the plain salmon for at least one scoop because it goes well with any of their sauce choices. They also allow you to split the main if you want more than one choice (rice, brown rice, zoodles). Workers have always been friendly, even when rushed. Pick up orders also have never had an issue so far! They also have a loyalty program that you can sign up for online.
google avatar

Wes R.

Yelp
This place was really great. Tons of fresh options and reasonable prices. I had Zoodles and spicy tuna with yellowtail poke and tons of other good stuff.
google avatar

Iris P.

Yelp
nothing will ever beat genuine hawaiian poke, but poki dc is my favorite poke place in dc. they have so much variety in terms of bases, toppings, sauces, and side dishes. their seaweed salad is so good!
google avatar

Andy W.

Yelp
I liked the zucchini noodles option for the base. It's a nice alternative to salad or rice. I wish the fish portions were bigger though. The give you 2 scoops of protein and added an extra scoop for $2. Overall it was fresh and good to eat. I would go again.
google avatar

Tay L.

Yelp
This is my go to lunch option at work. I love that they offer zucchini noodles as their base option! Everyone here are super fast and efficient -very helpful during busy lunch time and how small this place is. The fish cuts are nice and chunky. Yellowtail option is also a plus, although it comes with an extra charge. They put out the dry toppings like seaweed, garlic, onion crisps, and etc for you to finish topping it off yourself. Maybe not enough people look for it but their wasabi kind of sucks. Wish they would make it better and put more in each container...AND their mochi ice cream is REALLY bad...:( anyways, I'd still come here for my zucchini noodle poke bowls.
google avatar

Sharon K.

Yelp
So many new and interesting options! MAINS This is the only place in the area that serves yellowtail and zoodles (zucchini noodles.) The yellowtail was pretty good with no fishy odor or taste - but the salmon was mushy. My coworkers liked the zoodles. The miso soup was good, but nothing to rave about. SAUCES I got the ponzu sauce (soy sauce base similar to other poke spots' house sauces) and the sweet strawberry sauce on the side to try it. The latter had a jam/puree taste and consistency. Sounds weird but I've seen sushi rolls with mango and strawberry drizzles on menus before, so I can see how this works. I would recommend getting it on the side if you want to try it though. They only drizzle the sauce on top of the bowl rather than mix it in like other places. The sauce bottle's mouth is pretty narrow so they don't give you much. I took some soy sauce packets thinking I'd need them but was pleasantly surprised and rather impressed by how well seasoned the rice and toppings were; I didn't use any of the packets I brought back. But, if you like strong flavored foods... ask for more sauce, get it on the side, or grab some soy sauce packets from the self-serve toppings bar. PEOPLE STUFF Since they also serve chicken, shrimp, and tofu, it's a good place to go with friends who don't like raw fish. Nice addition to the Farragut lunch scene!
google avatar

Lia M.

Yelp
Poki DC offers three of my favorite toppings: yellowtail, mango, and pickled ginger. Many shops do not offer these toppings, and I appreciate that Poki does. I also like that they have miso soup if you are super hungry. It's also reasonable if you want an extra scoop of poke, and in general, the price is slightly less than other shops. My bowls here have been fresh and tasty. It's small inside, but there are a few seats. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Chamarlyn F.

Yelp
Loved my bowl. Fresh and tasty. Zucchini noodles available as a base. Would definitely visit again
google avatar

Clayton R.

Yelp
I honestly don't know how Poke could ever be bad, but they seem to do it especially well at Poki DC! Some rather unusual protein options in a Spicy Tuna mix and Squid Salad (one of my personal favorites) along with tons of dressing options really set them apart. Staff was friendly and environment was clean and comfortable. I will be a return customer!
google avatar

Sophia C.

Yelp
Everything was really fresh and I loved the sauces. For its price point, it's a great deal and really filling. I can see this becoming a regular spot for me
google avatar

Katherine K.

Yelp
This is a great lunch spot! I went around 12:30 on a work day and it wasn't too crowded, which was nice. I ordered ahead and my order was ready to go as soon as I walked in. All was accurate and their store is very clean and efficient! I had the salmon poke bowl and it was great- they have so many options for fresh toppings. I had mango, pineapple, seaweed salad, corn, edamame with a base of ZUCHINNI noodles (YUM!!) and some sushi rice. It was a great, fresh and fast experience.
google avatar

Sunny X.

Yelp
I saw this place open and decided to give it a try on my way to lunch. Four choices for base: brown rice with quinoa (applaud), sushi rice, spring mix, and zucchini noodles. Different protein: spicy tuna, tuna (plain or marinated), salmon (plain or marinated), tofu, squid salad, shrimp So many toppings to choose from: watermelon radish, radish, pickled radish, seaweed salad, crab meat salad, mango, pineapple, tangerine, cucumber, cilantro, Japanese ginger, etc. You can also add crunchy toppings yourself. I got a free miso soup after Yelp check-in. The soup has tofu and Kombu inside which I appreciate but it was really salty. Overall I found the bowl too flavorful. Next time I will choose raw fish or skip the source at the end because everything comes with a flavor and with so many topping options, it can be too much. Don't forget to check in on Yelp to get a free mocha or miso soup.

Vanessa P.

Yelp
Came here by chance- other place i wanted was closed but im glad i found this! Very kind and patient server, went after the lunch rush but everything was still fresh/replenished fresh. Very tasty, will try again

Laurie A.

Yelp
The food and service is good. I am most annoyed that when you checkout there's an option to tip, which should not happen at what is essentially a fast food restaurant. If the restaurant needs customers to tip so that workers make the legal minimum wage, they should be clear about that. Otherwise, there is an awkward moment when you have to pay and have to quickly decide if tipping is necessary (when it should not be).
google avatar

Evelyn T.

Yelp
Last week I was introduced to Poki DC and I cannot stop daydreaming about going back. Super fresh ingredients, a larger amount of options than most poke places in DC, and at an affordable price. What might make this place better than all others is that they allow for you to add ingredients such as garlic, SEAWEED, among others. Trust me when I say this place is a must. Greatly recommend! (Also, if you check in you receive a free miso soup yup).
google avatar

Katharine S.

Yelp
Ordered online and picked it up - added avocado, paid for avocado, no avocado. Good poke, but workers need to pay more attention.
google avatar

M K.

Yelp
Used to be best in DC but they gave up with COVID you can't enter and nobody ever there to take orders. Total waste. Have tried to come here several times during last few months and always left without ordering.
google avatar

Kelly M.

Yelp
They have really done a wonderful job with Covid measures; it seems the safest option I've yet seen to protect both customers and employees. Presentation was perfect and portions are good, too. The fish itself was fresh. Thank you!
google avatar

Alison G.

Yelp
Delicious and convenient! Went for an early lunch today. Glad to pop in a little early, as it got busy pretty fast. The two guys behind the counter valiantly kept pace until the 3rd guy came out from the back. The fish was super fresh. I tried the marinated Ahi, raw salmon, and spicy tuna - all very tasty. Great toppings - so many options. Really liked the sriracha mayo and spicy ponzu sauces. Good prices. I checked in and got a free green tea mochi. Will definitely go again!
google avatar

Rachel C.

Yelp
I love that they have the option to have zoodles! The portions are great and the fish is super yummy. I've gotten the marinated salmon and marinated tuna and both are very yummy. The reason I've taken off one star is because it tends to be a bit pricey.

Trish M.

Yelp
Ordered two proteins. I barely had any tuna/salmon in my bowl and it was 70% rice Not a knock on the restaurant but my delivery came smushed.
google avatar

Karen R.

Yelp
I LOVE POKE!!! Amazing! Highly recommend the marinated Salmon with Yuzu Wasabi Sauce and the mango with sticky rice(Sushi rice). The Spicy Ponzu sauce is also fantastic. The crunchy stuff you can do it yourself. That's a huge win. Extra seaweeds pleaseee!!! And if you check in here on Facebook or Yelp you get a free Miso soup or Mochi ice cream. I got the Mango Mochi. Another win. If you are hungry for Poke, try this place out. You won't be sorry. I'll be back tomorrow.
google avatar

Sarah A.

Yelp
My friends and I stopped by here when we visited D.C. We get poké quite often and we were surprised to see how little toppings were given at this place. If anything it looked like we paid 12+ for a full bowl of rice than anything else. Also, I asked for the marinated salmon and was given the regular salmon. I saw this and clarified but then the man took the salmon OUT of my bowl and put it BACK into the salmon container where he will serve other people this same salmon that was in my bowl touching my food. I was appalled by this because this has to be some kind of cross contamination right? However the fish tasted fresh, but needless to say I don't think it's worth a second visit.
google avatar

Andrew H.

Yelp
When Poki DC opened up right across fro my office, I questioned why they would do that when Abunai Poke was literally a block away. But man, I'm glad they did. Poki DC has become one of my go-tos when I'm in need of a quick lunch...shoot, it's even become one of my go-tos when I just want to get some good food. While I wouldn't compare it to any poke you can get in Hawaii, but that's a high standard for DC. I'm just glad that I can get a pretty decent bowl of rice and fish, with all the fixings, at a good price. Been a few times now...will be there a few more I'm sure.
google avatar

Aryka H.

Yelp
Food is always delicious and the customer service is always great! Make sure to try the miso soup as well!
google avatar

Robby L.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite lunch spots. The food is super fresh and super yummy. And then always help me navigate the menu (Celiac). The yuzu jalepeño sauce is deeeeeelicious.
google avatar

Renee L.

Yelp
My favorite place to get a poke bowl in DC. They are always my go to place and I've been here at least 10 times since I moved to DC 4 months ago. Their ingredients are fresh and you get a miso soup or a mochi ice cream with a yelp check in. One of the reasons I love this place so much is because they offer yellowtail fish. There are barely any poke places that offer yellowtail so I was really happy when I finally found one that did. 10/10 recommend!!!
google avatar

Justin W.

Yelp
This is pretty subpar poke (poki?). The tuna had chewy bits of cartilage that were not trimmed off, and a few of the cucumbers had a very sour flavor that indicated they had gone off. Abunai Poke, Donburri and just opened Little Sesame are all better non-meat centric lunch options with in a very short radius. .

V. V. H.

Yelp
There are a few poke restaurants nearby in this area, but I think this one so far is the best. The food is delicious, healthy and the proportion is generous with a decent price. Also, the staff are polite. This is my new go to place. I strongly recommend it.
google avatar

D V.

Yelp
Very good first experience here. Looking forward to coming back! The fish was fresh and they're not stingy with toppings (which were delicious) Update: ive now eaten here several times and tries different fish. Each experience was great and the fish tasted very fresh.
google avatar

Chao Wen Y.

Yelp
Love Poki DC! This place is so good! My first poki bowl was F Street. When I heard L Street open new Poki DC! And then I go to try this place. The fish is always fresh and refreshing with all of the toppings. If you don't eat raw fish, they have other options such as shrimp, chicken, tofu and squid salad. I ordered a rice bowl of marinated tuna and marinated salmon, with all the toppings. For sauces, I like to get sriracha mayo, roasted sesame and Eal. Mix them together! For the crunchy toppings, I like to put Onion, seaweed and sesame seed! In addition, the crunchy toppings are also on the side, so you can load those. Don't forget to check in yelp/Facebook to get a free mochi or miso soup.
google avatar

Lanson L.

Yelp
Very good food! First choose your base of either sprig mix, zucchini noodles, sushi rice, or brown rice. Next choose your protein followed by UNLIMITED topping. Lastly sauce, i recommend siracha mayo, a very good choice. Crunchies here is self serve, love the garlic and onion crisp.
google avatar

Javier C.

Yelp
Very impressed by the selection of ingredients. Two types of fresh seaweed salad, spicy tuna like you find on sushi, brown rice with quinoa or cucumber noodles in addition to plain jane sushi rice, and a selection of cut fruits for a sweet kick. Staff was fast and description/pricing seems clear. Also loved the free soup for checking in. Only downside was a bit of a funky smell as I walked in. They should maybe prop open the door and aerate or something.
google avatar

Sarah S.

Yelp
The poke was amazing! A bit pricey but absolutely delicious! However the Mochi Ice cream was absolutely awful would not recommend. The "mochi" felt like rubber boots. Miso soup was okay. But the Poke bowl itself was amazing! Loved the concept of choosing whatever you want, kind of like a salad bar.
