Polaris Cafe is like a big oasis in the middle of a city. This is my new favorite spot to decompress and study. It is very inviting and relaxing. The staff are very nice and accommodating. The prices are reasonable. The vegetarian, breakfast, lunch, pastry and dessert options are a lot. The specials for today are butter chicken and tandoori chicken over basmati rice. I got my drink for $6. I am very glad to see that it is not packed. I can literally just sleep here. It look so peaceful with all the plants and granite tables + the beautiful fountain and scenery out the floor to ceiling windows. I’ll go the extra 20 miles to study here. I really love the concept and would love to have my own like this in the future.

Google
Love this little cafe! They turn out some delicious flavors. I get the breakfast burrito and it’s fire every time. So many yummy options for lunch too! The order ahead option is great too. Overall really cool atmosphere too with small little nick nacks and sauces to purchase.

Google
One of the best breakfast burritos of my life. Lots of eggs and veggies and they didn't skimp on the sausage. $16 is pricey but so are most things in California. Come here if you get a chance- you won't regret it.

Google
coolest ambience ever?? their menu is so diverse and has a wide range of things to choose from. i got their iced matcha with their special cream flavour (white chocolate raspberry cheese foam) which legitimately tasted like white chocolate raspberry icecream and was amazing. but, i have to mention that the matcha was wayyyy too sweet it sadly ruined the drink. i got mine 75% sweet, and i normally never order a reduced sweetness, and it was still far too sweet it kind of went down like a milkshake. so just a heads up order it around 25% or 50% at most. they do use a good quality matcha though. also all the staff were lovely.

Curb your attitude This place was close enough to the Amtrak station that I could run in and grab food before going back to board… I had a bit of time but I also had bags i needed to put down. When I realized the door was open about 7 minutes into opening I walked in and pit my bags on the bench on the lefthand side and was immediately asked by the woman with the glasses “we’re not open yet. You can wait with your bags in the lobby.” I didn’t see why that was an issue, but complied anyway. When I made my order, it was fairly fast and painless, but then, upon picking up and coming back to the station, I actually sat down while waiting for my delayed train and started eating this mess. I ordered the Sunrise, with the plain bagel scooped out and here are the major issues that I found with my order: - Bagel wasn’t toasted—nor was I asked if I wanted it toasted, which resulted in a soggy bagel - The mess of the avocado shmear was limey, which made me question if there’s a difference between avocado shmear and avo-lime on the menu - the egg was over-easy (runny) and not fried like the menu suggested - there was zero spinach in my bagel - there was no napkins included with my order, but I’m guessing it was on the side somewhere, just wasn’t communicated to me—that’s considering this was a much messier bagel to eat than I originally expected. Overall, it tasted great! However the attitude and the miscommunication and getting my order wrong didn’t seem worth the $16.58 I paid for my breakfast. My advice? Be sure to have questions and get answers before you order here if you’re not in a rush to hop on the train.

Google
This place is right across from Amtrak. We were looking for a muffin or something of that sort and a cup of coffee. A quick search in the Waze app landed us here. We were greeted with a very chipper and welcoming staff and a calming atmosphere. You can sit at the tables outside in a lobby type area. I gave the Leeche tea a try. They make and sweeten it over night. It was delicious. There is some type of fruit in the drink as well. Very refreshing fruity sweet tea. But onto the bacon breakfast burrito. I’m not a breakfast person but this was hands down the BEST breakfast burrito/dish I have ever had. My husband said the same. Highly recommended!!!!

Google
Hong Kong Milk Tea = too sweet and the flavor just isn't right. Large for $6.50 = no bueno. Staff are friendly.

Google
This is my FAVORITE cafe, any time I can make it over is a special treat. They have such uniquely crafted drinks, and such kind workers. They also have really cool art and tea-esque things for sale in-store!!!! I've gotten yummy syrups from there.

Yelp
I can't believe it's taken me until now to write a review.. because Polaris is such a treat!! Their aesthetic just makes you happy to be there Their staff are friendly and very helpful in helping choose a drink/customization. Their drinks are creative and always picture worthy. They tend to land on the sweet side but can be adjusted. I've got a sweet tooth so I don't mind My favorite part is they're always coming up with new concoctions. I wait eagerly every month to see what their new cream of the month is. I love their matcha and it usually goes with their special cold foam/cream. I also recommend the white rabbit drink if you're into sweets or Hong Kong milk tea. Honestly you can't go wrong. It's also a great place to shop for a gift for the tea/asian food lover in your life.

Yelp
Stopped by Polaris's Cafe on a Thursday around noon, and it was busy with nearby office workers grabbing lunch. This place is small but super cute, with a fun, modern aesthetic that makes it feel like a little escape. I got the pesto chicken sandwich, and honestly? It was solid--fresh and satisfying. But the real standout? The White Rabbit tea. It was sweet, creamy, and this dreamy mix of blue and white. It is a bit on the sweet side but I would definitely get that again. The vibe here is laid-back, with lots of greenery in the lobby giving it a chill atmosphere. I ended up hanging around for an hour to get some work done, and no one rushed me, which was a nice plus. One weird quirk--the bathroom situation. You have to get a key from the front desk, trek through the garage, and then find it inside the gym. A bit of an adventure, but hey, at least they have one? Biggest downside? Their hours. They close at 2:30 PM and aren't open on weekends, so if you work a regular schedule, catching them can be tough. Otherwise, this would be a spot I'd visit more often. Would I come back? Yep, if I'm in the area and it's open. They also sell locally made teas and syrups, which add to the charm. tldr:/Polaris's Cafe is a small, well-decorated sandwich shop with a fun ambiance. The food and tea are good, but the limited hours and weekend closure are downsides.

Yelp
Polaris is a solid cafe located in Emeryville next to the train station. Some street parking is available. Overall, I would probably place closer to 3.5 stars but rounding up, especially as the service here is always so friendly and accommodating! I used to come here more often after an Orange Theory class (just over the walkway) to order a breakfast burrito. Their breakfast burritos are pretty solid - the eggs are super fluffy - and you get a choice of protein. I dont love the tomato in it personally, especially if you dont' eat it fresh, because it can make things a bit wet. Other than that, the burrito is solid and filling. I also love the variety of drinks they offer - the flavors are unique. They also offer season flavors - just recently I had gotten a HK milk tea with black sesame cream and it was such a great combination of bitter tea, creamy milk, and nutty black sesame flavors. The cafe itself is small but shares a seating space in an atrium with a lot of lush green plants. Its a great place to stop by for a bite.

Yelp
A literal hidden gem! Located inside an office building, can be tricky to find but once you open main doors Polaris will catch your eye. Love every bit of this place, from the goods they sell to the awesome workers! Got the matcha latte with oat milk and strawberry cream as well as the chicken pesto panini. The matcha latte was delicious and they put cute little sprinkles on top, got mine with held sugar and it was perfectly sweet for me. Panini was great, definitely going to try their other ones.

Yelp
Repeat customer review- Fabulous, kind staff. This cafe has a beautiful atrium for seating. Lots of organic teas and coffees. The food is good and the teas and lattes are fabulous. Example: warmed pistachio milk for my toddler AWWWW. Thank you! Also cute gift stuff. We park under the bridge and walk over.

Yelp
Such a cute little cafe that imbedded into a business buildling. It was a quirky indoor garden ( i believe part of the business building) but you can sit out there and enjoy your breakfast and coffee. Service was very friendly. No complaints here. The coffee did take a little longer than expected, but there was a few people ahead of us. Or maybe we had bit of a complicated ordered? I think we waited about 20 mins for it. It was worth the wait for the coffee though. I had the Black Sesame lattle (which I am a big fan) was delicious. It was beautifully done. It wasn't too sweet and the black sesame flavor potent enough but not overwhelming. Definitelly recommend coming here for your coffee needs!

Yelp
First time at Polaris cafe, loved the atmosphere customer service was awesome. They have a lot of food and drinks too choose from menu. The coffee tasted amazing and it was a good size cup. Love how they have a little phrase on the sticker they put on the cup. Definitely looking forward too coming back

Yelp
Helpful, prompt, friendly staff. Great milk tea! A small selection of cute gifts too! I love the houseplant vibe - lots of houseplants. I'll be be back for more milk tea! Also I loved the outdoor garden area. The indoor area is not spacious. But there is a nice outdoor area with grass, trees, and big stones that are meant to sit on, and peaceful, elegant, scupltural fountain of natural stone. The outdoor area is part of the general landscape for the building complex, which is to say that this is not an upscale hidden garden gem experience, so don't expect that. But you can expect a peaceful, clean, pretty, quiet, sheltered outdoor niche where you can sip your drink and chat with your friend. The trees provide light shade with plenty of indirect light.

Yelp
Seems like this is located in an office building which isn't circulated well so it gets really hot when the sun shines through. The coffee shop itself is really cute. Workers are super sweet. I ordered a white rabbit and it was unfortunately too sweet so I couldn't finish it.
google avatar

Ethan A.

Yelp
The White Rabbit, which is a customer favorite, in my opinion was super sweet and although there is butterfly pea tea in it, it didn't bring enough bitterness to balance out the drink. That being said, I would probably get the Brown Rabbit instead because of the espresso in it. I did add the White Rabbit to some coffee when I got home and it definitely helped. It was my first time here and I didn't know what I wanted so I stuck with the customer favorites, but just by looking at the menu, I definitely want to return because of the wide variety of different flavors that aren't offered at other places in terms of coffee drinks. I would also maybe try the food too because those opinions look great. This is a little cute coffee shop located in a big building surrounding by what appears to be big businesses/healthcare. It's a little hard to find, but that's what the Maps app is for. The inside decor is amazing filled with plants and other aesthetically pleasing things. Outside the cafe, it's an atrium filled with plants and tables to sit at. The staff is super friendly and will probably answer whatever questions you have. There is street parking you have to pay for and some of the parking garages were for the businesses so you might turn into the wrong one and have to reverse out before finding a public parking garage. Overall, I will be back because the menu still intrigues me and I know I would want to try more things.

Yelp
I absolutely adore this cafe in Emeryville. I don't think I would've ever stumbled upon it but so happy my friends brought me here for a lunch break. It's located within an atrium area which provides great indoor seating that feels like your outdoors with all the greenery. The staff was super friendly and there was a line since it was lunchtime but it moved pretty fast. The menu was extensive enough where I couldn't decide quickly what I wanted but ended up getting the White Rabbit with cereal cream foam and the chicken pesto sandwich. Both were AMAZING. The chicken pesto sandwich had the greatest cheese pull and was probably one of the best chicken pestos I've had in a long time. The White Rabbit drink is supposed to be an ode to the White Rabbit candy (didn't taste much like it but was so goooood) with milk vanilla, sugar and topped with butterfly pea tea. The added cereal foam was the cherry on top and made it all the better. My friends say that they alternate and have monthly different cream foams but I really loved the cereal one so for the sake of those reading this review, I hope they keep it or have it back again. I also loved the little stuff you could get in the store. They happen to be having a deal when I came in this time so my friend and I ended up getting a good bit of things. I brought home my best friend an ube extract which he loves and I got a reusable straw (glass?) and butterfly pea tea from Oakland Tea company. We even got to the meet the owner and I loved being able to support this local, small, women-owned business! Overall, such a great spot and recommend coming here if you can! I can't wait to come back whenever I'm in town.

Yelp
Super cute cafe with great drink options! This cafe is located in a building across from Emeryville Amtrak Station. There's a parking garage across the street, and there's also some street parking. I came around 9:30am on a weekday, so I found street parking around the corner from the entrance of the building. The coffee shop is on the smaller side, but there's plenty of seating available in the building itself. Everything on the menu sounded so good. I wanted to try everything! I ended up getting an Iced Ube Latte w/ pistachio milk. This place was probably my first time seeing pistachio milk offered as an alternative. I've had pistachio milk before. It's subtle and you can't really taste the pistachio, so I decided to get that with my latte. According to the drink description, they use their house ube syrup w/ real ube. I really liked the drink. The ube flavor was very subtle though. I would've liked more ube flavor, but I enjoyed the drink nonetheless. I loved the seating area in front of the shop. From the stone seating to the plants, it felt like I was in a forest. It's a great spot to hang out and do work. There's wifi and restrooms (ask staff for key and directions). I could spend all day here (if only parking was free haha).

Yelp
I've never rushed to write a review so fast after my first time somewhere but I was WOWED at Polaris. When I'm at the Emeryville Amtrak station, I usually frequent a different coffee shop because I'm running late. Today I had time to try somewhere new and this will now be my go-to place from now on! The small entrance is SO unassuming from outside with just a door labeled "Polaris Cafe" in a brick wall. Stepping through the door, I was greeted by the welcoming baristas, so many lush plants, local artwork, and colorful decor. The baristas told me that their menu was on their other door and I continued to be amazed at the BEAUTIFUL indoor shared seating area with floor to ceiling windows, healthy greenery, and aesthetic seating. I originally came here because the drinks were Asian-inspired and sounded very yummy. I got the Brown Rabbit, a drink with double espresso shots inspired by the White Rabbit candy--the JOY I experienced trying this drink was just what I wanted. I'm actually upset that I didn't try this place earlier, especially since it's RIGHT ACROSS the entrance to the Amtrak station. This is a place I would try to find reasons to go visit, even if I live and work across the Bay!

Yelp
I was looking for a place to study in Emeryville and grab something to eat - Polaris was the perfect spot for both! Situated across from the Amtrak station, this little gem is easy to miss the cafe if you're not looking for it. Luckily, they had their door propped open. Parking is difficult in the area. I opted for paid parking under the overpass which was $2 for the first 2 hours, and then $7/hr afterwards. The cafe itself is just the register and the bar - no seating. I ordered the Brown Rabbit, which is an espresso shot added to their popular White Rabbit drink, and an Avocado Egg sandwich on an Everything Bagel. The drink was delicious! Although, I wouldn't say it's super reminiscent of White Rabbit because the flavor was more like just condensed milk - almost like a toned down Vietnamese coffee. The sandwich was decent. Without the tabasco packets I picked up from the condiments station, it was just okay. By the time I finished my sandwich, the egg was a little mushy and, texturally, it wasn't that great (I think I would add bacon to see if that helps next time!). The ambiance of the shared building space was great! Wifi is good, seating was plenty, and an overall great place to get work done. However, don't bother bringing your chargers, there's no nearby outlets.

Yelp
The stars on here are for the disappointing experience. I enjoyed the matcha latte I got the first time I came in. I had intentions of getting the breakfast burrito but came after 11 and was told they stop making them at 11. No problem! I came in a second time and walked in at 10:39. There were two men collecting their coffees ordered prior, so I walked up to the counter and asked for the breakfast burrito only for the lady to tell me they stop making them at 10:40 AM (not 11am as indicated). Big disappointment. Unfortunately, I don't think I'm going to attempt a 3rd time

Yelp
Well, this may be the cutest place in Emeryville. That indoor atrium for seating? Swoon. The place is super cute and staff is delightful. They sell sandwiches, salads, breakfast burritos, milk teas, as well as coffee drinks and pastries. It's conveniently located across from the Amtrak station - so if you're taking off and need some bites or drinks for the train, this is a def must stop. So, why 4 stars, if this place is cute as can be? That cobb salad was no bueno. It was like an airplane salad. The chicken went untouched because it looked real suspect, the bacon was shredded cardboard, the dressings unimpressive. Sigh.... However, the sandwiches and such look like a huge step up. So, order that.

Yelp
Cute cafe with wonderfully friendly service. Love the plants and natural light. I really enjoyed my rich and delicious vanilla cream iced coffee and the perfectly wrapped sausage breakfast burrito. Comforting food and uplifting atmosphere.

Yelp
I will happily sip and repeat this cute little spot. It's a great place to grab coffee, a tea latte and/or a quick lunch. They have a great selection of tea lattes to choose from as well as milk alternatives (for the lactose intolerant folks). Lunch options consist of paninis, salads, and a weekly special. There's no seating inside the cafe but the beautiful, tropical atrium you're led to has plenty of seating to enjoy your coffee or lunch date. Drinks are solid. I ordered an iced oat matcha latte, which was lightly sweetened and the matcha was on point. I would definitely order again. All the paninis and salads sounded delicious. I had the weekly special: Huli-Huli chicken with rice and mac salad. The bone-in chicken thigh had a nice sweet and soy flavor, and the chicken wasn't dry. Honestly, if I worked in this building I'd visit every week to try all the teas/ milk teas.. and pair it with the earl grey choco chip scone.
google avatar

Angie G.

Yelp
Had to come back again with my husband! Always a great coffee and super nice staff!! They have a cute sit in seating area indoors and outside if you want to grab lunch or enjoy your coffee!

Yelp
Polaris Cafe is a little hidden gem that is tucked away in what looks like a business building. It was definitely a bit difficult to spot at first - parking is street parking, so it may be hit or miss. The employees are friendly and welcoming when you first walk in. It looks like an artsy spot with some seating inside the cafe - I did not know that they had an indoor atrium with additional seating during my visit, but I wished that I did because it looked pretty chill and relaxing from the photos. I was able to enjoy the fountain and scenery outside the cafe for a bit, and it was nice and relaxing. I ordered the jasmine milk tea with boba. It came out fairly quick, since I did not order any food. The milk tea had a good ratio of cream to tea taste to it. You could really taste the floral and fragrant jasmine tea taste with half & half mixed in it. Although, I would probably not go out of my way to come here for boba, I was pleasantly surprised that a breakfast/lunch cafe has decent boba to offer. They have so much good food choices on their menu that I wanted to try, but I already had breakfast at the time, so I was a bit full - maybe I would have to come back next time to get a boba and grab a bite to eat here when I am in the area again.

Yelp
This place is vibey! Very aesthetically pleasing, nice small gifts, pins, but also great coffee. I got the Vietnamese iced coffee and it's one of the better ones I've had. Staff is super friendly and welcoming. Free WiFi. There is a couple seats inside the small cafe, but there is a space just right outside, with tables and extension cords for your devices, kinda feels like you're in a forest. Definitely will be back!
google avatar

Yelp
This wonderful spot is situated essentially in an atrium. For real. It's quickly become a morning favorite walk to coffee and a croissant breakfast sandwich location!! The staff is genuinely engaging and likeable. 5 stars.
google avatar

Claudia H.

Yelp
Unfortunately this place has more cons than pros. Pros: Beautiful and clean inside. Friendly staff. Good variety of drinks and food options. Reliable WiFi. Clean and private bathroom. Cons: Only open M-F 8am-2:30pm. There's nowhere to plug your devices. They give you your food in foil even if it's to eat there. I feel like that's tacky and uninviting. I got a bagel with cream cheese and they didn't even put the cream cheese on the bagel or give me a knife. I had to go back for the knife and ask for a to go container to assemble my bagel. I would go back but I think there's room for improvement here.

Yelp
omg, i should gate keep this because it's so cute. But, i won't, because this place deserves more traction and attention! Polaris cafe is located in a business-y area within Emeryville and kind of tucked into one of the buildings. It's very close to the Amtrack Emeryville station though and 10 min walking distance from the Powell/Trader Joes plaza. Reasons this place is great: 1. They have a lot of in-house made things (almond milk, condensed milk, etc.) - very rare these days!! 2. Their beverage selection is fabulous and unique but key: NOT OVERPRICED 3. They have daily $3 special (milk?) teas 4. They have fun monthly things - like this month there was a fruity pebble monthly creamer 5. They make their soup in-house and they give you free bread on the side!! 6. Outside of the shop is a nice "greenhouse" esque area and they have WiFi (but no outlet I saw) What a hidden gem! Will definitely come back soon to try more things on their menu - a shame they're only open 8am-2pm M-F and not the weekends
google avatar

Amina M.

Yelp
I tried their matcha latte iced with ube taro cream, it was so good! So pretty as well. I also tried their corn cheese grilled sandwhich, so good! My boyfriend brought my food to me since I was working so I didn't get a chance to visit in person in the cafe, but I saw via facetime the place had tond of plants and tables with free wifi to work, I'd love to go in person sometime!

Yelp
Polaris Cafe is such a hidden gem, and I'm upset I didn't discover it earlier! My friend and I came on a Wednesday for brunch/lunch, and it was not too busy at all. Despite the unassuming exterior, we were very pleasantly surprised by the beautiful indoor seating area filled with greenery and floor-to-ceiling windows, along with the fun trinkets for sale. The food was very fairly priced, in my opinion, and they had so many unique and delicious drink flavors. The only complaint I have is that the service was quite slow, and the employee packaging the food was distracted and on her phone despite how many customers were waiting. Here are all the items we got: - white chocolate matcha (4/5): great matcha flavor and the white chocolate syrup adds a unique layer that makes the sweetness taste almost like sugar cane. Slightly too sweet for my liking but my friend liked it. - vanilla cream coffee (5/5): no complaints, tastes just like you would expect. Essentially a vanilla creama coffee. Super delicious! - ham and gruyere croissant (4.5/5): very flakey, buttery croissant, I loved every bite. Only reason for 4.5 and not 5/5 is because the ham and cheese were only stacked in the very center of the croissant, so you couldn't get some in every bite. - chicken and pesto sandwich (4.5/5): juicy and flavorful, this sandwich was very well-seasoned. Slightly messy to eat, and I wasn't all too impressed by the salad it came with, but great overall.

Yelp
So when you order a simple toasted bagel with cream cheese they will not assemble them together. smear your own cream cheese on the bagel. WTF?. but they can make a complicated breakfast sandwich/burrito. waste of time. Likely my last time ordering food from here.
google avatar

Judy H.

Yelp
TLDR: yummy drinks, helpful staff, and cute atrium to sit and enjoy your drinks! I tried out the drink of the day, lychee green tea, and strawberry crème Vietnamese coffee. I like that I Can taste the tea in the lychee drink and that the Vietnamese coffee taste legit, with a faint hint of strawberry. They even had a water cooler as well. Will return for more drinks!

Yelp
Love this Cafe! Great Service and the food options are Amazing. I totally recommend this Cafe when you're in this neighborhood :) Breakfast and lunch options are good. Always look for their Daily special. Staff is always kind and friendly. Highly Recommended

Yelp
While waiting for my train I decided I needed coffee and something yummy. A quick walk across the street and my dreams were reality. Kylee is a wonderful help. I have ordering anxiety and she didn't miss a beat in helping. I got the Buffalo Panini,a chocolate muffin thing and an iced coffee. All of which were amazing. Not as amazing as Kylee.

Yelp
I've been here before with a coworker that recommended this place. I think I got a Thai tea before and it was super sweet for me. I also got a matcha green latte and I think it was okay. I also got the buffalo chicken sandwich with a side salad that was so good and full filling that I had the rest for dinner. I do like their black coffee, it weirdly had a aftertaste of black tea that I oddly found satisfying. I also love the plants inside and there was a clean nice restroom and WiFi. The service is always been great and friendly. Highly recommend supporting small businesses for coffee and this one is great!

Yelp
I am so glad that my horrible treatment at Doyle Street Cafe had me search for a new destination. This place is amazing. Tropical garden dining room, amazing food and friendly, kind staff. Having tasty tuna melt with the best tomato bisque I've had forever. I love this place

Yelp
Now that finals week is upon us, I've been searching for a new study spot that won't make me want to die from boredom. I came across Polaris Cafe on Yelp, and I knew I had to pay a visit. The cafe itself is a cute little grab-and-go style joint with an extensive menu and adorable decor. I ordered the Apple Caramel Chai Latte and the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. I can't state enough how AMAZING the latte was. It had the perfect amount of apple flavor without being too overwhelming. The sandwich was also delicious. It came with a choice of chips or salad, and I opted for the salad, which was fresh and well-seasoned. The portion was also quite large, so I only ate half for lunch. They have a rotating selection of "Drink of the Day," which features a special drink at a discounted price. When I went, the drink of the day was Thai Iced Tea, which was priced only at $3! With tapioca pearls added in, this was the first boba drink under $5 that I've ever gotten in the Bay. The drink itself was good, but the boba texture was really great. As if Polaris couldn't get any better, the real highlight of the cafe is the seating area. Though there aren't any seats inside the cafe, there are chairs and tables set up in the gorgeous atrium adjacent to the cafe. With tall trees and beautiful flowering plants, it feels like you're sitting outdoors even though you're surrounded by glass walls and a ceiling. I found it incredibly motivating to study in such a beautiful space. The free wifi is pretty good, though I did have some trouble streaming lectures. I wouldn't expect any internet issues if you're not streaming videos though. There aren't any public restrooms, but the Polaris staff have a restroom key available upon request. I'm so happy Yelp led me to Polaris Cafe! Being in a gorgeous space with delicious food definitely makes studying a whole lot less painful!

Yelp
Beautiful spot to eat, relax, or study with good food and drinks as well. Polaris Cafe has become my new favorite study spot. Inside the cafe itself does not have any seating, but there are tables in the connected lobby area where patrons will enjoy their food and drinks. This lobby area is the highlight of the experience; it's an indoor greenhouse-like area with plants and trees. This makes for a calming and relaxing place to study or chill with friends. Of course, the food and drinks are also great! They have specials for the day for both a rotating drink of the day and food option of the day. I tried their Thai tea and buffalo chicken sandwich, which I really enjoyed.

Yelp
I had an interview in SF at 6am my mom went with me so we can just spend some time after the interview. On the drive home to Sac we looked up open breakfast spots and this one came up number 1. It's in an office building not too far from the freeway which was perfect. Arboretum was the seating area super cute area so sit and have a cup of coffee or tea very relaxing vibe. I ordered a white mocha my mom ordered their chai. We ordered the same sandwich one on brioche and one on a croissant. Mom loved the brioche and I was more partial to the croissant. The mixed of cream cheese with the regular cheese was excellent blend I would have never thought of. Loved the food. Drinks were also flavorful and service was great they greeted us and answered all our questions since we had never been there before. If you are in the area definitely recommend stopping by for a quick breakfast.

Yelp
This is such a hidden gem in Emeryville! The food / drinks are great and the beautiful atrium makes eating the meal there so much more pleasant. If you're interested in going to the Atrium, you can use the intercom at the lobby to tell security you're coming into eat at Polaris. We ordered the CBG (chicken bacon guacamole) panini and Buffalo chicken panini, which both came with side salads. I enjoyed the CBG, but the guac was just a bit too sour, and I loved the Buffalo chicken panini with the ranch dip it came with. Both paninis had nicely grilled sourdough bread with melted cheese. The side salads were also a great addition of veggies and everything tasted fresh! For drinks, we got the jasmine milk tea with boba (delicious and wonderful boba) and the Vietnamese iced coffee, which was nice and strong. The coffee had a bit more of a sour taste, so it may have been a lighter roast. To top it off, we got the passionfruit butter mochi, which had a light flavor with a denser mochi muffin texture than I was used to. I would definitely come back here for the food and atmosphere!

Yelp
Polaris for the win! Came back late on a train to a house with nothing for breakfast or coffee. Normally don't eat breakfast out. Looked online at a number of nearby restaurants and felt shocked at the prices and negative reviews. Then remembered this tiny cafe across the street from my place. $10 for coffee and egg/ vegetables scramble, deal of the century in my neck of the woods. All delish, and they even gave Sriracha. Gorgeous atrium with trees and green plants make for a particularly nice place to dine.

Yelp
Come here a few times a week for late breakfast or late lunch. Food taste is always spot-on, service is quick and very nice. Usually get a boba drink at same time. Was stuck on a few, but recently started ordering their daily specials. It's cheaper and seems they are new flavors they are trying out. My usual was the breakfast burrito with bacon and either green or red sauce. Now seems breakfast is only served till 11am, so had to get something else today. Got a Buffalo chicken panini. Comes with side salad. Quality and flavor and quite good. Buffalo sauce not too spicy, but has some kick. Salad items very fresh. Drink today was a white grape oolong tea with strawberry cream on top. Grape flavor was not too strong, just a hint. Flavor combo was pretty good. Will continue to go here for the food and service.

Yelp
Service was great. Food is great. Prices are reasonable. Good vibe, staff is super friendly. Typically, I complain about prices for sandwiches in the Bay area because I don't think they're worth the price. My wife has the cheesy corn grilled cheese with bacon and I had the buffalo chicken panini. Crispy, cheesy, gooey and delicious--the perfect sandwiches. Sandwiches here are worth it. Oh and the boba is perfect.

Yelp
Love this place, the staff is super friendly. I come here often and usually just get drinks. Very beautiful and amazing vibes. The reason why I'm giving this rating is because I ordered the chicken curry and the chicken was raw. Someone can get seriously sick, it's a health code violation and just definitely worth noting because you're spend $15 for a meal that is not edible.

Yelp
feels like my little hidden gem! drinks are always good, love the variety in specialty drinks offered each month. the food is surprisingly yummy and fresh. Baristas are the sweetest! * please note that if you are planning to work from your laptop, there are no outlets, and your only hope of a bathroom is running across the street or if someone within the office building is kind enough to let you in.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem! Located in what looks like a business building on the lower floor. A lot of healthy well balanced but really delicious food! Had the tomato pesto sandwich and it was delicious. Also they had a Indian lentil soup which was hearty and warmed the soul lol Overall I would definitely recommend this place. I would say the only take back is parking is not great at all. Other than that I'm sure you'll enjoy whatever you order from the menu! Oh try the green juice too

Yelp
Polaris Cafe is a must-try for sure! It's a grab and go cafe, but there are plenty of tables inside the building it's located in. Very pretty and lush setting! The tuna melt came with either a salad or chips. Got the salad. The melt was delicious! It's made with sourdough bread, veggies, and apples! Somehow it all works! I wish there was an option to make it spicy... but then again I say that for everything. The hazelnut latte was a bit too sweet for me and I didn't really taste the hazelnut that much. Can't wait to try other items on the menu!

Yelp
Tomato pesto panini: bread was perfectly toasted, good amount of pesto and veg inside. Filling and tasty. Green Thai tea: a decent green tea latte. Don't expect the same og Thai tea punch. Brown rabbit: very pleased with the sweetness. The double shot definitely toned down the sugar of a normal white rabbit latte. Beautiful seating area, hard to find parking sometimes. I'd come back for the coffee.

Yelp
This is the new lunch spot when my work doesn't cater lunch. My line up includes the corny grilled cheese, buffalo chicken hot sandwich, various salads and green juice. The app makes it easy; I like the order and come down to pick up. No wait. The staff are friendly and efficient.

Yelp
I'm surprised I haven't added a review for this place! They are always coming up with new ideas and menu items! You can bet whatever you grab will be good. The only item that was a small disappointment was their seasonal Butter Chicken pizza. It was a bit dry to my preference and it did not taste at all like the butter chicken and naan meal they offer. One of my favorite meals there is the garlic cheese sandwich and salad! I love that their corn is in the cheese. I wish they always had the butter chicken and naan or that would be my number 1 go to meal. Their Thai green tea milk tea is my favorite drink there!!! I was hooked on it for a good minute. You can have non-dairy alternatives like their coconut milk instead of the usual half and half ingredient. My stomach unfortunately doesn't do well with dairy drinks so coconut milk is a lovely alternative. Order online for advance pick up! I will sometimes pick up and just eat in their beautiful forest of live gigantic plants and trees. It's a nice escape from work. Have a wonderful time chowing there! Favorites: Garlic cheese sandwich Butter Chicken & Naan Porridge

Yelp
Good quality food. Relatively quick service. Menu has a good selection of paninis, salads, sweets, and beverages. I love the convenience of Polaris, but it is expensive. The portions could be better, especially if I'm paying $13 for a panini and the option of a side salad or chips, it could at least come with a small drink. Me and my coworker stopped coming here as frequently because of the price point for the portions. Sadly, they also stopped serving breakfast all day and the breakfast burrito is the only menu item that is combined with another.

Yelp
I enjoyed sitting in the atrium, but the food experience was meh. We got the breakfast burrito and basic bagel, neither was very good. The white mocha latte was just overly sweet syrup and barely any coffee taste. Service was okay, didn't have to wait too long.
