Pollen Coffee + Flower Shop

I will drive to AVL from Charlotte just to visit this cafe. Exceptional service, true specialty coffee, incredible rotating pour over menu, and the best espresso based drinks you can buy. Gorgeous, airy, sun soaked (yes I’m really saying that) space that is brightened by the florals. Cool, approachable, kind people (baristas and customers). If I even overhear someone mentioning Asheville, I tell them they HAVE to visit Pollen.

Love the vibe, the flowers, and the coffee. The employees are friendly and attentive. The flowers were 50% off today for the 1 year anniversary of Helene so I made myself a gorgeous handpicked bouquet to do something kind for myself today. Thank you Pollen! My cortado was also delicious!

10000/10. Pollen took care of the florals for my wedding in October of 2022. I chose Pollen because as a florist myself, I could just tell that they were going to knock it out of the park. The communication was amazing, and my wedding day was totally stress free. Since, I have used them to send multiple arrangements to family members. I cannot recommend them enough!

This coffee shop is such a gem! Immediately when you enter inside you are welcomed with a gorgeous array of flowers smiling at you while you order your coffee. The coffee was nothing special but what was interesting to me was the “flower” coded syrups such as special honey syrup from which i would assume they purchase where they buy the flowers. Definitely one of the most special coffee shops in Asheville!

Pollen was LOVELLYY!! 10/10, the people, the atmosphere, the service. It was such a warm and welcoming place. My husband and I ordered our Elopement flowers from them and they were everything I ever wanted in a bouquet and boutonniere and even came with complimentary cute vases. I've attached pics here. They knew my exact vision and executed it perfectly. One of the customers that was there getting their coffee even offered to buy us some coffee because we had just come from the courthouse. We would highly recommend Pollen to ANYONE visiting Asheville.

I am currently enjoying the BEST espresso tonic I have ever had! Pollen continues to be one of the best coffee shops in Asheville. Their smiling faces, attention to detail, and passion for excellent coffee shines so brightly! They also have a large selection of quality coffee beans, delicious fresh baked goods, and beautiful flowers! I would recommend Pollen to anyone looking for a top notch coffee experience. Pollen is a wonderful business owned and operated by even more indescribably wonderful people. They are pet friendly, very talented florists that provide curated flowers of beautiful, diverse varieties for their arrangements and flower bar, knowledgeable about their coffee, which is immaculate, and the pastries are yummy (as well as inclusive for those who have allergies/dietary restrictions). The space is full of gorgeous natural lighting and in an easily accessible part of downtown. It’s space is definitely intended more for quick encounters that will brighten your day and your mood as you have the first sip of a delicious latte, continually sneak peeks at the beautiful wrap of flowers on your drive home, and laugh with the staff over some small, meaningful moment since they are all friendly, thoughtful, kind, and hot. It is also important to note it is a business that continually takes care and supports its community, even when no one is looking. Pollen is the substance of humanity in every way :) enjoy it!

Pollen is one of my absolute favorite spots in Asheville. The coffee is SO good, the unique and divine pastries/baked goods, and the overall vibe is incredible. I have been in to study countless times, and always leave feeling refreshed and productive. Also, THE FLORALS. They are genuinely some of the most beautiful I’ve seen. I have bought numerous arrangements myself and was also lucky enough to receive some as gifts and I was always wowed. Please support pollen in anyway you can, especially when they are able to reopen. Asheville isn’t the same without them operating!

my fiancé and i were in the asheville area and wanted a coffee shop to check out. i saw flowers and was sold right away-- then we walked in and i was only more and more sold. flower bouquets, PINK milk pitchers, and really really good coffee (one of the current specials is called Love Note-- you want that one. trust me). if you're debating, this is the one.

This is a new favorite coffee spot in Asheville, one of my favorite cities in North Carolina. This cozy coffee shop offers a small menu of hot and cold coffee drinks with a few pastry options. My wife and I went for macadamia milk lattes with a morning muffin and a cardamon bun. Everything was delicious! The service was outstanding, diverse and friendly! The location is easy to find with plenty of street parking and a paid (very affordable) parking lot right across from it. Overall, 100% recommended.

Loved this coffee shop! Coffee was excellent and the pastries were delicious. We had sweet pastry with berries as well as the savory spinach and cheese pastry - both were equally scrumptious. Super cool vibe to the place as well. We will be back next time we are in Asheville

This place was cute and the baristas were super attentive. The sign to the shop is very small, and not an easy spot of driving, but there is tons of street parking near by. This shop is very bright inside, with bright colors and lots of natural light. They had a seasonal drink, strawberry matcha, that sounded amazing, I wish I had seen it before I ordered my drink. I got my normal cortado, which was good. It was an average cortado, nicely extracted espresso. We did order an almond danish and they accidentally gave us the almond croissant, which is fine because it was delicious! They have a few types of seating with little two people tables and some more more couch styled seats to hang out, not tons of actual seating areas but there are a few. It looked like this cafe lines up to a coworking space. If I am ever back in the area I might stop in again but I am sad I don't live closer so I could go back for the strawberry milk matcha.

Pollen has the strongest and tastiest single origin coffee in Asheville. My only complaint is one of the employees always wearing a mask. None of the other workers wear one. Flowers and Coffee are all about the bloom, the opening, the giving. And Pollen offers such beautiful bloom with its excellently curated coffee and flowers. But nothing screams ANTI-BLOOM more that a MASK! For whatever reasons she's wearing this face diaper, be it the common superstition that viruses actually exist and are floating in the air trying to kill us, or her political ideology/social identity, or her lack of self-love or knowledge of humanity's greatest gift - our ability to smile at and connect with each other, I hope she wakes up soon and smells the coffee, or her co-workers talk some sense into her, so that Pollen can truly shine as the greatest in all of Asheville, and possibly all of North Carolina.

Awesome coffee shop with great plants and flowers for sell! I had the mocha! Perfect sweetness, not syrupy and not overly chocolate! Soren is awesome as well! Super sweet and friendly!

I personally had a wonderful experience here. The interior is quite open but roomy enough to hold a few people without creating a crowd or having anyone get in the way. They only had a couple of tables though so I'm guessing they try to keep their customer base as a more on-the-go kind of clientele. I personally got matcha with old milk, which was delicious. The staff was very friendly & the shop was clean & well maintained. All the floral is stunning & decor made me feel like I'm in a fairy tale. Also, random, but their logo is perfect!!! I can't wait to be back!

Very limited menu but what's on it is done superbly with great care. Hamburgers are a real treat.

A great way to start the day! A hot Chai latte. The atmosphere is bright and inviting. The large windows offer great natural light to the space. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The latte is offered with or without dairy. It's much better than a franchise coffee shop. I highly recommend this place. Support local business.

Amazing coffee shop and flower shop! I went to this coffee shop while visiting Asheville and spent a few hours there working on my laptop. A great place to work and I love the atmosphere here! There is cute decor and a bonus that they also sell flowers inside. It's not a very big coffee shop but a good size and the lattes are delicious! They have house made syrups and the creamiest lattes ever.

There is only one situation where I get as happy as I do when I walk through the Pollen door, and thats when my wife makes me a night sandwich and then sleeps on the couch so I can have the whole bed to myself! Usually just on birthdays! I cannot wait for the coffee from Pollen to enter my lips next. I would ONLY recommend this place to an ally. Pleaseforgive my outburst that I had last week, I hope I am welcome back. it is not a reflection of who I am. I love you Jan

I don't like giving a small business a poor review , especially a coffee shop ... but this place isn't for me. I found the coffee to be okay, but the service and decor not to be my liking. There is so much potential , but a little bit of a miss here. I'd try other places in the area before this- mostly due to the prices.

Exceptional coffee program and the only SEY coffee provider in the area. Great florist services and pick your own floral bar. Atmosphere is bright and airy. Free on street parking!

The iced latte with honey was delicious and the ambience of the shop was on point. Makes me want to sit there and drink their coffee all day. They also have the most beautiful and interesting flower arrangements! Give it a go for sure!

I genuinely love this place. I want to gate-keep it, and keep it all to myself. it's so cute and cozy for dates. the coffee is BOMB. the energy is unmatched. when ordering a coffee I usually as the barista to make whatever they make for themselves, never disappoints.

Pollen is the cutest place you'll ever drink coffee! Bright and inviting with lots of natural light. There's ample parking in front which makes stopping by super accessible for all. The owners and staff are super sweet and cute. If you love plants/flowers and caffeine, I promise you will leave with a smile. Don't sleep on this gem!

Pollen is the best! Jacob, Allyson and the whole crew here are so friendly and nice. They serve Sey coffee which is absolutely top notch. And their floral arrangements are always beautiful and unique. Truly thankful to have them here in Asheville

Seriously the most perfect shop in Asheville. Such a unique and fun space with vibrant decor, bright light, and a table full of fresh flowers. The staff was so kind the moment I walked in, making me feel like we were BFFs. Allyson, the floral designer, was so excited to tell me all the names of the flowers, you can just see the passion she has radiate off her. Jake, her partner who leads the coffee side, has brought the high end coffee scene of NYC to the mountains in the most approachable way. All of the coffees they have from Sey sound so interesting and fun I wish I could try them all. Definitely will be back here a million times and wish there were more places like this!

This coffee shop is the best in Asheville, don't bother searching for more. The coffee is sourced from an amazing roaster, and it's extracted perfectly. From Espresso to a latte, it's all delicious. The flower part of the business is absolutely gorgeous. The arrangements are unique and the selection is beautiful. The people running it are adorably sweet, and the ambiance is perfect for relaxing or working.
