The 13 Best Restaurants in Aventura and Sunny Isles | Eater Miami

"Pollos & Jarras, a Peruvian restaurant by chef Juan Chipoco, has been a staple at Aventura Mall for years. It specializes in rotisserie chicken and Peruvian cuisine. The menu blends traditional flavors with modern touches, featuring dishes like Pollo a La Brasa, ceviche, and El Chaufa Criollazo. The bright decor, with glass panels, neon posters, and the dozens of pinatas hanging from the roof, adds to the experience." - Eater Staff

We had a great experience at this restaurant! They brought us a variety of delicious sauces that really elevated the meal. The chicken was perfectly cooked with a crispy, golden crust — absolutely mouthwatering. The service was excellent: friendly, fast, and very attentive. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Highly recommend and would love to come back!

Omg!!! Betsy was the best server ever!!! From the moment we sat down, she was incredibly attentive, fast, and just so genuinely sweet—it honestly felt like she was taking care of us like family. My entire family enjoyed this experience so much, and a huge part of that was because of her energy and attention to detail. She made sure everything was perfect, always checking in at the right times without being overbearing, and she had the best attitude throughout our whole meal. The food was AMAZING!!! Every dish we ordered came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor—we couldn’t stop raving about it. What really stood out was how Betsy went above and beyond to make thoughtful suggestions based on what we liked, and every single recommendation she gave us was spot on. From appetizers to dessert, everything was a hit, and she made the whole dining experience even more memorable. It’s rare to find someone so dedicated and warm in the service industry, and Betsy truly made the night special. If you’re looking for not just great food but also exceptional service, this is definitely a place to check out. Highly, highly recommend—it was a 10/10!.

I went to the restaurant to celebrate my son’s birthday with my family. The foods were delicious, I love the cocktail, so good. I drank 2 glasses. the service was excellent. Especially the lady name is Elizabeth, she’s not the service. She is a manager but she was amazing, very professional and very kind to us. And the waitress either, very nice, I think the name is yamilet. I never ever see the employee so professional like that. We had a great time.

Google
Google Reviews did not disappoint. This place is amazing. The vibe and energy when you walk in are next level. Our server Alejandra was wonderful. We listened to her suggestions and ordered exactly what she said. The appetizer fried yucca was to die for and the two entrées, especially Lomo Saltado were like tasting heaven. Do not miss out on this place if you’re in the area!

Beatriz was absolutely outstanding. From the moment we were seated, she made us feel welcome and taken care of. Her attention to detail, warm personality, and thorough knowledge of the menu elevated our entire dining experience. She was attentive without being overbearing, always anticipating our needs with perfect timing. Beatriz truly went above and beyond, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit because of her exceptional service.

Google
10/10 would highly recommend! The service is out of this world good, like eating wings & the staff brought additional napkins & wet wipes before we finished the first wing. Which was juicy and filled with flavor. The chicken was moist, the yucca fries were crisp, and the sauces were exactly like the waitress said. Spicy goodness. The ambiance is fun and exudes Miami fun in the sun with a hint of spice & lots of flavor. Loved, loved, loved this place!

Google
Alejandra did an excellent job as a server. She was very attentive and explained the dishes in detail. The food at the restaurant is exquisite. This is a restaurant you must visit.

Camila, our server, was exceptionally kind and attentive.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ She played a big part in making our trip to Florida truly memorable. As it was our first time trying Peruvian cuisine, we weren’t familiar with the names of the dishes, so we simply showed her a photo and asked what it was. She patiently and thoroughly explained everything, and thanks to her, my husband and I were able to enjoy our meal with great happiness. Her warm and positive energy made our first dinner of the trip a wonderful experience, and we are deeply grateful for that.

Yelp
Delicious, fresh, vibey and attentive. Look saldato: a tad salty but the sauce is delicious. Got the ceviche from next door it was delicious and fresh. Not fishy at all The rotisserie chicken was juicy and flavorful. The fries were golden perfect and crispy Drinks were good but was a tad sweet. Service was excellent. 5/5

Yelp
I recently tried Apollo y Jaras for the first time, which is the sibling restaurant to Ceviche 105. While both share similar menus, this one focuses more on Peruvian BBQ, whereas Ceviche 105 specializes in seafood. We ordered the Lomo Saltado, Pollo Saltado, and Milanesa de Abuela, but unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed with the meal overall. To start, we were served a complimentary soup, but it was too salty for my taste. The Lomo Saltado, which featured both steak and chicken, was also quite salty, though it had good flavor. The Pollo Saltado was similar--flavorful but on the salty side. The Milanesa de Abuela was lacking in seasoning, and the Huancaina pasta was so overwhelmingly cheesy that it overshadowed the other flavors. The Pisco Sour, however, was a highlight! It was light, refreshing, and definitely enjoyable. As for the service, it was decent--nothing special, but it got the job done. the ambience was nice, it was more laid back than Ceviche. The ceiling was adorned with vibrant Peruvian colors, featuring an array of blow-up balloons that beautifully represented the essence of Peru. Overall, while I had high hopes for Apollo y Jaras, I wasn't completely blown away. The flavors just didn't balance out the way I expected.

Yelp
This restaurant was absolutely amazing. Excellent quality meat & drinks. The. Service is very friendly & accommodating. The portion sizes are big for the price as well.

Yelp
I went here on a Saturday afternoon for a bite to eat. We arrived and we're immediately seated, which was awesome. For drinks, I had the strawberry passion sangria and the mananero. Both were delicious. We ordered ceviche for app and that took 30 mins to even look over at us. Eventually it came but we were over the long wait and lack of attention from our waitress so we left. The waitress and another waiter were arguing about tables and Neglected to actually take care of their designated tables. I had high hopes and sad i was let down.

Yelp
Disappointed they changed the small organic tender chicken we used to love . It looked like a rooster not a chicken . Me and my business partners from up north were not pleased with the chicken . Service was great, chicken wad NOT! Juan fix this immediately.

Yelp
The best Peruvian chicken in the area! There are a lot of Peruvian restaurants in south FL but this one stands out! Chicken is the best - juicy, flavorful...yam! Sweet potatoes were excellent! Ambience is nice but gets noisy as tables are close to each other . The place gets full very fast but to our luck we didn't need to wait... It was a quick stop to try this spot and we definitely will be back to try more food ....cannot wait!

Yelp
Attention ! Watch out with this restaurant if you do not eat pork. Most of the plates at this restaurant have pork in the seasonings. The atmosphere is awesome but if you don't eat pork there are only a few plates you can have. Their roasted chicken is not one of your choices. Personally, I will not return. Sorry about my previous review as they did not let us know about the food containing pots in the seasonings. Even a little soup taster that they give you when you sit down, has that seasoning. They say it is chicken soup.

Yelp
It's been almost a year that I don't visit this location. I came in with my dad and my nephews to grab a quick lunch before dropping them off at the airport. It was not too busy and we were sat fairly quickly. We were a party of 6 and our server took care of us fast. I order their tropical sangria that had lychee and I enjoyed a lot. The chicken was so juicy and flavorful. I also ordered the anticuchos de corazón de res and they were delicious. Overall I will come back again.

Yelp
Sister restaurant to ceviche 105 which is next-door. They have more Peruvian cuisine here and slightly different menu. The food here was tasty, but the portions are small. Don't plan on sharing too much. The flavors were very good and the cauza was the winner. The Tito sauce was excellent. The chicken was just OK. I am used to Peruvian, roasted chicken, being extremely juicy and flavorful and truthfully I don't think this was any better than Pollo tropical, therefore I give them three stars as their main focus should be on their chicken as in the name of the restaurant. Service was excellent. Location is at the Aventura mall so pricing was not bad for the mall. Probably would not go back with the number of proving restaurants around and also next-door ceviche 105 is superior.

Yelp
The food was good we have gone to Pollos & Jarras before at various locations. However customer service was poor. They did not deliver on their soup tastings, and the server did not check on us as we were eating. We ordered an appetizer, drinks, and the family rotisserie chicken. However it seemed not enough for the server to care. Other tables which had ordered more extravagantly were better attended too as we clearly saw as they arrived and received the amenities and server's attention. We were a family of 4, and asked for sauces and they returned with small samples of their sauces while a family of two that the waiter was also responsible for received the large bottle. We asked for waters from the waiter and he never returned, we asked one of the other workers and she quickly and graciously returned with waters which we were very grateful for. We brought this to the attention of one of the managers and he quickly attended to us, and we appreciated the service from him. Despite this it does not override the original service from the waiter that was subpar and rather dismissive and disappointing. The waiter was rude and dismissive, and while the manager did his best to listen to our concerns. The service from the waiter ruined the experience, and we brought this up to the manager's attention to hopefully keep other families from going through the same experience.

Yelp
Visited Pollos & Jarras this past weekend and was so impressed with how delicious the food was. My husband and I went for lunch. We were immediately seated inside. The service and ambience were great. We loved the mini soup starter. It was so delicious! I ordered the grilled chicken with rice and it was so good, full of flavor!
google avatar

Yelp
I had very high hopes for this restaurant but service was just ok and the food was ok as well nothing special. It took 20 mins to get a menu and another ten for drinks but it seems like if you spoke Spanish you got faster and friendly service. Fries were crispy!

Yelp
Came here with my family and had an amazing lunch. Our server was super attentive and was very helpful with explaining the menu. This was my first time eating Peruvian food and I will 100% be back. My Carne Asada was perfectly cooked and the rice was delicious. This might be one of the best Rotisserie Chickens I have ever had. Very juicy and flavorful. The restaurant was super clean and the decor was very cute. Amazing place to stop by and eat after walking through the mall. I really recommend this place.

Yelp
Pollos y Jarras has always been one of my favorite Peruvian restaurants when visiting Miami. This is my second visit to this location at the Aventura Mall. I love the restaurant's decor is colorful yet still feels trendy. We went closer to 5 p.m. and were seated right away. Typically, you get a complimentary "aguadito" soup before you place your order. This time we didn't even though all the other tables around us were. For our appetizer we got the causa limeña ( chicken) and it was good. I ordered my usual fish ceviche, to my surprise the portion was significantly smaller compared to the last time I went. It was still the same price and the flavor was ok. We also ordered a side of yuca fries and the Chaufa Criollaso steak which is Chinese-Peruvian rice made in a wok for extra flavors. My husband liked it. Overall, the experience felt odd and I have fixed feelings. Maybe it was an outlier day and we got the wrong server.
google avatar

Maria L.

Yelp
Came here for a quick lunch and wow, I was blown away by the food. I ordered the Causa Limeña, Acevichado roll, and a chicken sandwich which could've easily been for 2-3 people of how big it was. Our server was very sweet and attentive and made great recommendations! Would definitely come here again

Yelp
An incredible feast fit for royals This may go down as my favorite chicken place in Miami. With full discretion, I've been to Pollos y Jaras in the past at their downtown location but this time I can honestly say I fell in love. It was to the point that I thought the chicken tasted better than their ultra tender filet mignon. The portion was perfect for the five of us, we ended up extremely stuffed and even with some leftovers. This is a must if you have a big group. AGUADITO CANERO $9 Cilantro-based soup with a spicy touch, vegetables, rice and all of Peru's flavors with pieces of rotisserie chicken. POLLO A LA BRASA $27 Our delicious and juicy rotisserie chicken accompanied with crunchy fries, salad, and all the dressings. EL CHAUFA CRIOLLAZO $22 CHICKEN $24 / MIXED $28 Chinese-Peruvian twist that you are going to love. Pieces of rotisserie chicken, fried rice and secret ancient flavors. CASTIGAME NEGRA $79 Whole tender and juicy rotisserie chicken, chicken anticucho, veal heart anticucho and filet mignon with chimichurri.

Yelp
First time dining here. Very disappointing on all fronts. Service was indifferent at best. It was very strange how much our server avoided our table while being very attentive to another group nearby. It was hard to get a drink refill or some extra sauces that were missing from our table and he messed up some very basic elements of our initial drink order. Food was mediocre although the portions were large. We had a big chicken platter and the chicken breast was so dry it had a texture close to moist sawdust marinated in chicken broth. Plantains were okay. Fries and chicken skewers were average. I would definitely try a steak if I was forced into dining here again for some reason. Late in our meal I was so concerned about our waiter I thought it would be justified to file a missing persons report in case he was endangered. The ambience was fun, colorful, and vibrant with good music. Overall, there are an infinite number of better choices within 10 minutes of this location. Don't waste your time or money here.

Yelp
Sister establishment to Ceviche 105 but I tried for the first time. Food has great flavor and the service was excellent. My boys told me that their meat had flavor and was tender and my wife's chicken was excellent I ate a chaufa and it was great with the proper flavors. Definitely will come back again.
google avatar

Werner A.

Yelp
The chicken was out of this world. Outstanding. Try it with the different sauces they bring to your table. Ambiance: great music and the summer decor was awesome The best part was the service. Thank you Alejandra for your great attention. You made our experience not good but perfect. !!!! We will return.

Yelp
Service was great, food came out quick and was very yummy! Very nice ambiance during the day.

Yelp
This place was amazing! Loved all of it: the grilled Meat, pisco sour .. will definitely be back!

Yelp
The food here is always amazing! The service though is what lack a bit of personality. They had to correct our latte order and our server wasn't careful. He spilled soup on me once he brought the welcome soups, which are always delicious.

Yelp
Food was great! Betsy was my waitress, the service from her was great she was so charming and kind, constantly checking in on us! The overall ambiance was great as well, the music and the decorative and colorful ceilings.

Yelp
Went to the location in the aventura mall, it's near the Nike store (the mall is massive so you can definitely get lost). Overall the ambience is colorful and fun while the servers are dressed like it is a fine dining restaurant while their menus reminds me of senior frogs. Laminated with one page, a sign about the quality of the food. The restaurant appears to partner with Civ.che 105 so you can order from both menus. To start, I ordered sangria, but I ended up with medicine and some fruit. I thought it was odd when the sangria included brandy and Fanta. Others got the sours which were very good, so I had the regrets and a touch of envy of my friends drink orders. Onto the food... it started off well with chicharron and yuca fries. They were both nice and crispy, I enjoyed the pickled red onion on the chicharron. There was actually some meat on the chicharron, so it was a little cross between a chicharron and a pork chunk. The yuca fries were perfectly fried but wish we had more. Although the meal was making its comeback, the entree's fell short. The rotisserie chicken was fine, it wasn't much different than a costco chicken besides the steep price difference. We ordered the ceviche that has 4 different types. 1/4 was good, which was the spicy one although I couldn't taste the spice. The other 3 ceviches were super tart and lacked flavor. The steak we ordered made up for the previous two entrees but it was pretty small. We also ordered the Peruvian fried rice, which was a nicely plated food court fried rice.
google avatar

David Z.

Yelp
Solid food, great staff, and the ability to order from wittier restaurant. The soup to start the meal and open the pallet was next level.
google avatar

Kimberly L.

Yelp
Whole chicken with salad and fried and the surf and turf roll. Of course we had to try their classic sangria!! Brian our server was very attentive and on his game! The food was amazing and delicious. We will be back! Great place for families to enjoy the whole chicken at a reasonable cost. Yummy!
google avatar

Anie R.

Yelp
This place is my go to when I don't want to cook. Just order pick up & go! I live within the Aventura Mall so it's very convenient for me. Their chicken is extremely tasty & it's accompanied with french fries, salad. Price has went up a-little but hey so has everything else!
google avatar

Ricardo B.

Yelp
First time coming to this location. I have been to their downtown location quite a few times though. Food is consistently good, so is service. The only thing I will have to say is that our server: Melissa (I think) missed a good opportunity to make service a bit better. Once we sat down, they brought out their famous consomé. She asked us if we had been there before. I said yes but that my husband hadn't been at any of the locations. So she said with a smile: oh, so u know what this is. Lol. I did but he didn't. She left to check on other tables and I explained to him what it was. Other than that, it was great as has always been my experience at their downtown location.

Yelp
Pollos y Jarras is usually on our top list when we want a quick dinner. We stopped by Aventura Mall and got a table. Our server brought us the menus right away and we started with some of their Que Tales Yucas Compare! Which are their fried yucas with huancaina sauce and those are always delicious and a must here! For drinks, we got some Chilcqnos which were really good. For entrees, we decided to try something different. My boyfriend ordered the Causa Crocante which seemed like a Papa Rellena and it was actually filled with rotisserie chicken with a leche de Tigre sauce and it was delicious! This is mainly an appetizer but as a light bite, it was perfect. I decided to go for the Hongos Anticucheros which I thought was going to be something like Anticuchos but with mushrooms instead of meat. I didn't realize it had chicken but I read about the cheese and bread toast which I thought they were going to be on the side. Unfortunately, when I received the dish, it was practically like a cheese dip filled with mushrooms and chicken with 3 little pieces of bread. There was so much cheese it practically worked as a dip. The chicken and mushrooms were so overcooked I couldn't even eat the dish. I tried to eat it but it was extremely cheese so it was just a waste of money. We ordered a second drink, this time a Passion Fruit Pisco Sour to let go of the bad experience. The ambience here is always good but our server was not the best. He was hard to look for and his serving skills weren't there, he was lacking customer service.
google avatar

Gladys N.

Yelp
The service was good. The server from the table beside us was better than ours lol but our server was ok. The food was great. We order a tamarind chicken and pollo a la brasa. The ambiance is very nice and colorful!
google avatar

Adriana B.

Yelp
We decided to try ay new place at the mall and we are very happy we did. Unfortunately their regular menu does not offer a lot of vegetarian friendly options but they were offering several items from their sister rest, Ceviche 105, next door. Everyone enjoyed the food, chicken and steak. The sides were good and nice portions. One thing I have to really give a shout out for is the service. Event your server, Nakary, was relatively new, she was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable.

Oscar D.

Yelp
Not expensive. Colorful decorations on ceiling. Crowded seating area. We went off peak. Food came quickly but was mediocre at best.
google avatar

Julie C.

Yelp
I went to an event around the aventura mall heard about this place very nice place live the decor I had maracuya lemonade and a shrimp causas was the bomb and atmosphere was great was very busy at the time I went the place is clean the waitress was fabulous
google avatar

Sarah N.

Yelp
You can tell when a person is proud of their National food and wants to share it with others. Peruvian cuisine was something I had never considered. The server took his time explaining the menu and answering our questions. (It been a long time since I took high school Spanish class!) Everything we ordered was DELICIOUS! Be careful drinking their version of a Mojito!! It packs a punch!!!
google avatar

Leslie S.

Yelp
Pros: Huge servings, great service, a nice selection of Peruvian fares. You get a two restaurants in one, because you can also order from the ceviches place next door. I also love the decor it's fun and festive. My favorite is their selection of delicious sauces. Cons: usually a long wait, so make a reservation. Limited parking.
google avatar

Rick G.

Yelp
First time I visit this place in aventura mall. Food was very good ambiance was good despite was a Wednesday lunch time..: we were a group 8 and we order different dishes to trying them out... pollos and Jarras is Peruvian prices are very good too. The place decor itself I found it interesting it looks like a place lost in identity... a bunch of stuff hanging from the ceilings like: beach items, piñatas, birds and fiesta decor very confusing. For a moment I thought it was a Mexican place... if you don't care for decor go on and try their food you won't be disappointed.
google avatar

Man Wai W.

Yelp
This restaurant is located on the outskirts of aventura mall right in the area of where the big slide is. It's associated with CVI.che 305. While CVI.Che 305 is known for their array of Peruvian dishes. Pollos & Jarras, as the name states, is known for their chicken. It was a busy Sunday night but we got a table around 6 pm pretty much right away. The decor is very fun right as you walk in. They have a bunch of lanterns and piñatas made of lamas and traditional native Peruvians hanging off the ceiling. It's a very colorful sight. We ordered the causa to start and it was delish. My husband got the lomo saltado. No complaints from him. He ate the whole thing. I got the la salchibrasa de impacto 105. It's a compilation of sausages and chicken served on a large bed of French fries. I thought this way I can try several different meats but it missed the mark. The sausages were all cut into small pieces and fried so it turned out quite dry. The small chicken pieces were also very dry. The little spots on the chicken that had seasoning actually tasted good but it's few and far in between. It's also as if they seasoned the chicken, roasted it and then cut it small pieces for this dish, fried those pieces to heat it up. Very disappointing. We did get the dulce rocio for dessert and that's not only liked delish but it was delish. The cake was moist and the caramel was not overwhelming. Great to pair with a cup of coffee. I would go back to probably try the whole chicken to see if it's worth the hype.

Yelp
This place is located on the lower level of the Aventura Mall. Food: Positive things first...They welcome you with a sample of Aguadito Canero soup. It was delicious! It's their take on bread and butter (so, it's free). My review is only based on Lomo Saltado. So, here we go: As you walk in you feel you've made the right choice, at least that's how I felt. But, it was disappointing. The dish didn't score any points on presentation since it was served in a sloppy way. The Lomo was very salty. I couldn't taste any other flavors. Rice was cold, hard and simply looked old....not freshly made. The portions were very disproportionate. It had too much French fries. Hence, it should be called...Papas Saltadas to be honest with you. I feel you can get the same type of food at a reasonable price at a very causal Peruvian restaurant that we all know I think this restaurant needs to reassess the image they're trying to convey. My dish reflected fast causal dining. Even though the restaurant gives the vibe of a chic Contemporary dining experience. FYI..The Pisco Sour was decent. But, again...presentation was meh. Service: The waitress was nice and courteous. I told the waitress about my meal. She apologized. However, at other restaurants...a food quality control manager would've come to check on my experience. No one else came. Decor: The artifacts hanging from the ceiling made the place look amusing. I do love that they have a purse hanger next to the table. Over all... even though I disliked my dish, I like to give the place a 2nd chance. Do not know when. I'll keep you posted.

Maria R.

Yelp
I ended up leaving without eating my lunch after waiting for over an hour. The only thing we got were the two appetizers and the drinks. After waiting for so long the waiter informed us that we needed to wait a little bit longer for the fries that comes with our lunch. Really disappointed in the waiter and the service overall!!

Yelp
My first time coming to this restaurant and definitely won't be my last! From the drinks, food, music, and service; everything was amazing! Our waiter Jeff was great at recommending plates and very attentive! :-)

Ivy S.

Yelp
Hi everyone, let me honest. Save your time and go elsewhere. Im a peruvian woman and like to try restaurants around the area with my boyfriend. All i wanted to do was LEAVE when i ate here. The service was not that great. I had ordered something i usually get with my bf and i recieved my order incorrectly. I politley took it back to the cook and kindly stated that i had ordered something else.( this was not a big deal to me) HOWEVER, the waiter comes back to tell me that i ordered the wrong thing, but me and my boyfriend clearly heard me say it the way i wanted and she even repeated it back to me. I politely told her that i knew what i said but she started arguing with me telling me that i ordered incorrectly. I felt uncomfortable at the fact she was not able to take accountability for such a simple mistake but rather blaming it on me. Now i know every manager is supposed to stand there to make sure everythings in order and to help should somwone need it. But this man chose to stand directly next to my boyfriend and i while we were eating for a good 10 minutes. I dont think he did it on purpose but we both felt a little uncomfortable. Overall the vibes and service in this place felt a little overwhelming.

Foodie M.

Yelp
Quality is getting worse and worse every day. This is a 1/4 chicken with fries at $15. I have attached a picture for reference. Chicken is the size of a quail!!
google avatar

Martin Z.

Yelp
The food was good and service. The ambience indoors seems like a lot with the decoration. I'd recommend going next door to for more Peruvian style food.

Amjad K.

Yelp
A couple of years ago I had a very nice experience here and at his twin. Yesterday the service was good the appetizer was good but the food was really bad. The medium rear fillet came medium well, more well than medium and the server and manager insisted it was at the right temperature. The veal heart was tough, the rotisserie chicken was really bad. Well they took it off the bill after an argument after I offered to pay for the plate. My issue why a good restaurant becomes this bad. This is the second restaurant in two weeks, I am very disappointed
google avatar

Nubia M.

Yelp
Was here for the first time last night. The customer service was TERRIBLE. The waitress was so RUDE. Unfortunately our food was salty. It was a night out for my parents and our night was ruined. She lied about portion sizes to make us order more than we needed. We took 70% of our food home. She never refilled our water. I do not recommend any one to come here. Tap 42 is much better at Aventura mall
google avatar

Tania G.

Yelp
Food was delicious. We shared a whole chicken with salad. Love the soup cup of the day. The sauce sample was to die for. An explosion of taste to add to the already mouthwatering rotisserie chicken. Service was excellent. Ambiance was joyful, fun and a decor a true conversation piece. Returning soon.

Yelp
Great food and service. Our waiter Alejandro was very cordial and gave us few recommendations. The restaurant gave us two samples of the chicken soup and was amazing! Next time, for sure will be my main plate. We started with the Fried Yuca with hurricane sauce, and we ordered the "Castígame Negra" $71 perfect for two or three people. The ambient and location was perfect!

Yelp
A very good friend and I were making Sunday dinner plans to catch up and get a much needed break. She's of Peruvian descent and wanted to research how close to authentic a local Peruvian spot. From what she mentioned I believe that Pollos & Jarras passed the test! For starters, despite being in a packed mall, customer service was pretty attentive with one of the waiters even offering to take our picture as she looked for the perfect selfie. They also have cute decor - paper mache lanterns, chola dolls and such. The restaurant space is well lit and has a fun vibe whether for a birthday or just a bite. We started off with a tasty amuse bouche of a spicy chicken soup. Just a sample, but I'd order it again. For the portion size, it was generous with the chicken and heat. For my main, I ordered their chicken "lomazo on fire". Take chicken strips, with interesting hints of nutmeg or cinnamon, and wok fry them with tomatoes, peppers and onions for a tasty meal. Her pollo a la brasa - rotisserie chicken - had an equally flavorful taste which I'd order myself again. Dessert was the classic suspiro limeno. Think of a yummy dulce de leche base with an egg yolk, whipped creme and touch of port wine and cinnamon garnish and you have an idea of a sweet bite that was enough to share. It's located in the new food court, next to the slide ride. Come by shopping, come by just for dinner and you'll have a tasty meal.

Yelp
Got the platter with veal heart, chicken, and steak and split that between 2 people. It was a lot of food!! We also got the spicy fries, which were amazing o: They give you 6 different kinds of sauce upon arrival. They were all super great! I really enjoyed the spicy ones. The chicken felt a bit dry and over cooked. The veal heart was cool to try. I've never had it before and it was a cool experience! I wouldn't go out of my way to get it but wouldn't mind it should the opportunity arise. The steak was soft and yummy :) cool place to try if you're in aventura mall
